JCO passing "$MYSAPSSO2$ " rather than actual user

Hi,
I have some bespoke code migrated from EP5 to EP6.
EP6 is using MS ADS and user mapping.
When I log on to EP6 using ADM I get a JCO error. JCO is passing the UID "$MYSAPSSO2$" rather than the mapped user. Another bespoke app works fine for my ADS backed user so I'm confused how one app is SSOing OK while the other does not.
Any idea where the problem may lie?

I was mistaken. The code was getting the user from the request and using it. Needed to update the code to get the mapped user...doh.

But, our users are not local admin, so i've tried to deploy the GPO in a collegue computer. I've forced the update of GPO, checked on registry that all new keys are added, and i've reboot the pc. When i've check on IE settings, autoconfig URL was empty and
grey. I'm disconnected from user and i've login to the pc with a local admin. With my surprise, the IE settings was compiled. When i'm come bac to the user profile the IE settings was compiled and not modificable.
The problem is: i've over 750 users in 3 countries, and i don't want grant them the local admin permissions. How can i configure proxy settings via GPO without login to every machine at least one time?

In the past, we experienced various issues with machine proxy settings,
so we don't use them anymore. The simple approach:
Block access to the connections page through ADM template settings and
deploy the proxy through GPP Internet Settings.
This is what we do (with a pac file, too), and it works well :)

Why does Adobe Reader use the scroll wheel to zoom in/out rather than actually, um, scroll? I can't find anywhere to change this function in Preferences, either.

I had the same problem on my Windows 8 touch screen laptop. It was driving me crazy! Every time I tried to scroll a page down, the program would zoom the page! Made reading an ebook difficult.
I finally found the solution:
Under Edit select Preferences - General
Uncheck "Make Hand Tool Use mouse-wheel zooming".

How can I ensure user names are shown rather than just 'another user' on the 'File in Use' dialog box that appears when attempting to edit a checked out document in Microsoft Word/Excel?
All suggestions welcome.

If I recall correctly, that dialog is generated by the Office client product supporting that file type. There would be no way to modify it.

Message is passing to more than one user in one to one chat scenario

When more than one user is online, message passed by one user is received by all the users . For example user A, user B and user C is online.
When user A initiate the Chat with user B, sends a message to user B or vice versa. User C also receives the message.

Last parameter of new NodeConfiguration()method is allow private message which is by default is false. Can we activate private chat by setting this parameter to true. I tried this option also

MW Design - Yeah I think "Relative paths" is the right term! I want to create a Layout with an image in the center of the page - and then duplicate my folder structure with that file. With that, I want to replace the Linked image file with a diferent image file of the same name. In effect having multiple files of the same layout with different images. I hope that made sense.

Payment Distribution to Artists by per user plays, rather than total plays

I just had a thought about how payment is distributed to artists that I wanted to see if anyone might have some thoughts on. Spotify still does come under criticism on occasion for artist payment distribution - I've seen a couple of instances of people citing iTunes as providing more monetary compensation to artists since it is per download, rather than per play, among other things. This seems to be especially true for independent artists, and artists who are generally less well-known.
I was wondering if Spotify has ever considered doing payment distributions using the
sum[ (total artist streams per user) / (total streams per user) ] across all users
ratio for payment calculation, rather than the currently used
(total artist streams across Spotify) / (total streams across Spotify)
approach, i.e. calculating the artists' play ratio by user, rather than in one giant pool. If you have considered this, I would love to hear why the current payment implementation was chosen rather than a per user method, such as the one listed above. But...
If a per user method has not been considered by Spotify previously, I think it would be nice - while I'm not an analyst myself, I imagine that it could lead to more revenue for independent artists, and maybe even less famous artists that are still beholden to rights owners for distribution of payment. I think it would do this because it could account for differences in number of plays per user - rather than users who tend to play more music over the course of a month contributing more all artists' payout, each user has an equal voice in how money gets distributed to artists.
I understand that such a switch would be difficult, and possibly insurmountable in the instance of free users - so, I am positing this as an idea not for all users, but for Premium users only. With Premium, it is a feasible goal, since you have a finite number of plays, and a finite amount of money coming directly from that user, and do not have to worry about trying to calculate differences in advertisement impact for different users. Doing that ratio calculation would be relatively straightforward of a switch computationally (though quite a large change in the system nonetheless, of course).
I think this type of change would empower both users and artists to use Spotify more. Firstly, it would empower artists to allow Spotify to play their music because the metrics they would get per month would be more reflective of the size of their fan base, and how much importance that fan base puts on the artists' music than current metrics.
Secondly, it would empower users more, which I think is especially important for users between 18-32 years of age. While I am not an expert on the subject, I often find that users in this age group (my age group) care a great deal about having control over where their money ends up, which in this case means knowing which rights holders and/or artists are getting the money they are spending. I know I do. Switching to this system, while still not addressing the injustices that are felt within the relationship between rights holders and artists by many, would still allow users to have more of a say in who gets their money than the current system. On top of that, it might be helpfult for Spotify itself - if using Premium is the only way for users to feel empowered by knowing how their money is distributed, it may encourage people in the free tier to upgrade to Premium in order to feel empowered.
Just a thought. I'd love to hear what you and others have to say about this idea.

I had the chance to take a look at that page you linked to before my original post, and saw that paragraph you quoted, as well as the bullet point about paid users having a higher "per stream" rate. I guess what I was more interested in (and perhaps this is not the right place to ask this question?) was if there was more of an in-depth "why" behind their decision (and thanks again for linking to it!) documented anywhere that I might be able to read more about. Maybe I was missing something on that page (and please let me know if so!), but the only "why" that I could find was a sentence in the paragraph you quote above:
"We believe, however, that our service and the lives of artists will both be best if the World’s music fans enjoy more music than ever before in a legal, paid manner".
While it's great to see their opinion, I was more curious about the line of reasoning behind that position is all. Because I do wonder whether empowering premium users to have more fine-grained control over how their money is allocated, such as by doing pay "per user", might lead to both more paid users and more revenue for independent and/or lesser-known artists - and if that's something that Spotify has researched already, I would love to hear more about the pros and cons behind such an approach!

I have the same problem.. EXACTLY. . When phoning Apple Support they had trouble understanding my problem and couldnt find any type of solution. No one seems to take responsibility for GameCenter issues. The assistant escalated the problem but no one could find an answer. .
The only idea was to set up a new apple id, hence a new GameCenter account. . But that would loose all the itunes data. Anyone got ideas ?

Notifications user system GUID rather than ID Defined in XML

I've been working on creating, and sealing a set of management packs that anyone could import and use, and I've hit a bit of a snag. There are a number of things in the management pack that seem to be expressed using a system GUID rather than the ID defined
in the management pack. To give an example, inside one of the management packs there is a template named with the ID "Template_2189ec1298d647a5b971c5429e72a04e". When this template is referenced by a notification workflow, the workflow uses
a system GUID to reference it instead. It seems as though, when a management pack is imported, the system creates all of the objects within in, so these system GUIDs are not the same and cannot be predicted. I'm having the same issue with Support Groups and
other things as well.
In the definition of my Notification Channel for example, one of the workflow parameters is the TemplateID the notification should use to sent the alert (Note <Item>):

I built my management packs, and tried to move them to a new system, they imported no problems now that I've sealed them, but when I went in and looked the template for the notification channel was blank, and since the management pack is sealed now, I can't
change it. I thought it was odd, so I referenced my XML, and I used this to get the ID of all the templates, and I noted... now they all seem different now that I've imported them into the new system:

I realized, when you import the management pack the first time, it must created GUIDs for all these things... is there a way to within the management pack reference the ID I can define, rather than the system GUID that's impossible to fix? I'm going to look
into writing a script that uses smlets to correct all this information and update the MP once it's been imported the first time, but that seems like a bit of a hack, there must be a way to do this? Anyone find elegant solutions to this problem that didn't
involve writing a fancy installer script for their management packs?

I'll give that a try, I tried just the MP reference and the error it gave complained it expected a GUID in a particular format.
A bunch of them are notifications that notify "affected user" or other internal references, that shouldn't need to change, the ones that go to people, or groups will have to be in an unsealed management pack. Initially, my goal was just to try
to get as much as I could into a few management packs as possible to avoid having a large amount of management packs, more it's just looking like this isn't possible.
I'm looking at breaking things down like this:
Incident Customizations
Incident Customizations Overrides
Service Request Customizations
Service Request Customizations Overrides
Work Item Customizations (storing some things common to all work items, like urgency)
Service Catalog
Notifications
So, my initial hope was to avoid splitting out ROs and SOs, putting any changes that need to be made quickly into the Override MPs. What this means, is that my solution can be implemented, and then customized without making changes to the core MPs directly
in PRD, then I have a promotion process. I dislike changing things in PRD on the fly, and would prefer a solution that forced people to use a promotion process, but it's looking like with Notifications, ROs, and SOs, it's just not possible.
Regardless of whether I'm going to seal this management pack or not, I'd like to avoid manually fixing every single Notification, or anything that references one of these internal GUIDs every time I implement this in a new system, since the possibility is
totally there for the MP name to be used instead, I'm confused why that isn't the default behavior.

CUCM users dialling inter-site using full PSTN numbers rather than extensions

We have an issue where users on one site are calling other sites using full PSTN DID numbers rather than internal extensions (and therefore incurring a call charge). Once all reasonable attempts at educating users and encouraging them to use directories have been exhausted is there any other way to minimize this apart from creating translation patterns like 91231xxx --> 1xxx? We have done this in the past and lived with the caveats (like it making dialling around IP difficult if there were WAN issues / site in SRST unless you configure call forward unregistered).
I could swear there was a new feature in 10.x which could look at user's other numbers in the directory (eg. mobile, home number etc.) and replace the called number with the internal extensions. Maybe I was dreaming though :-)
Anyone know if this is a feature? I've tried searching for it but not come up with much.

Found the new feature I was thinking of - 'Directory Number Alias Lookup and Sync Setup':
The Directory Number Alias Lookup and Sync setup enables you to route the commercial calls to an alternate number. Routing the commercial calls to an alternate number reduces the commercial cost of calling an external number. You must configure the LDAP server for Directory Number Alias Sync (sync server) if you need to synchronize users from Cisco Unified Communications Manager database to the sync server. You must configure the LDAP server for Directory Number Alias Lookup (lookup server) if you need to route the commercial calls to an alternate number.
I don't think it's quite as easy as I was hoping though.
Sad to say I have dreamt about CUCM / number manipulation in the middle of some more complex projects...

Use a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock prefs or specify default values for all users.
Place a file local-settings.js in the defaults\pref folder where you also find the file channel-prefs.js to specify using mozilla.cfg.

Hi,
You can achieve this by using a sql authentication provider. It gets the users and their roles & credentials from the db tables which you can configure in WLS. In JSF, you can create a creation form based on the table (which you configured for authentication), which can be used for the users to register.

Is it possible to have cs5 Bridge open cs4 ai files actually in cs4 rather than opening them in cs5

I recently upgraded from mac cs4 to cs5.5. Due to a bug? with cs5 ai illustrator 'Pixel Preview' won't show 1 bit tiff files as it did in cs4 (the workaround is time consuming/wasting). This is a problem for me as most of my files contain them, GGrrrr. Is it possible to have cs5 Bridge open cs4 ai files actually in cs4 rather than opening them in cs5?

Yes, either set the file type association in Bridge prefs for 'ai' at CS4. But it seems somewhat difficult when having newer versions, sometimes whatever pref settings in Bridge or Finder/get info/ open with/you try it keeps opening in the latest version.
In that case either drag and drop the files on the CS4 icon in the dock or with right click mouse menu choose open with and select illustrator CS4.
Although you can only have one version of Bridge open at the time you can have the other suite applications from different version open at the same time.

1. SAP JCo --> You know it...but this one is recommended if you want to connect from a standalone Java application.
2. SAP JRA --> From applications inside JEE runtime environment.
