JComboBox Text Allignment

JComboBox has no .setHorizontalAllignment() as does the JTextField.
Is there a way to accomplish this?
After a dropdown selection in an editable JComboBox, the selection appears in the editable text field, but it is not quite left alligned. It alligns on the second or third letter.
Anyone seen this?

I'm just wondering if there's an issue with text allignment in the Keynote app when trying to export to iTunes as a .ppt file and it is written in the Arabic language?For I have this issue in the pages app, it happens when I try to export the file to my PC as a .doc file. Is it also In keynote?

Sorry, I don't know, perhaps someone else has tested them. I would recommend you make your presentation on real computer using PowerPoint.

JCombobox text alignment multiple?

Hi all,
i have a JComboBox that i dynamically update when the user adds a new item to a JTree
The JCombobox displays the parent name + the number of children of that node:
Node1(4)
Node2(5)
Node3(2)
Node4(0)
but because the Node name has a variable length, it looks like this:
SuperNode(4)
Node(5)
node(5)
n(0)
is it possible to align the number to the right of the jcombobox? (like with tabs?)

Use a renderer that returns a JPanel with layout set to BoxLayout and two labels with Box.createHorizontalGlue() in between.
This could also be achieved with other layout managers.

GUI_DOWNLOAD fn module text allignment problem

Hi
I have a problem while downloading data from internal table to presentation server filepath using GUI_DOWNLOAD fn module.
For me the requirement is to display each field data at a fixed location in a DAT file (notepad) for all lines irrespective of any delimiter.
Now data of ech field is getting displayed continuously after its preceeding field with the specified delimiter. I want to fix the location of each field at a particular point for all lines in the file after download.
Is there any other fn module for this or any change in the parameters for fixing the field positions in the output file ?

Amount fieilds(last field) of each line need to be alligned one below the other starting from same position in all lines. At present its all random based on the length of previous field.

I have a program that has a notification icon in the system tray. It pops up balloons with information. Is there any code, or is it even possible to center text in the balloon?

Problem applying text styling to css class

Hi all,
first off, apoligies if this is answered else were, I'm fairly sure its not but I cant seam to find any information on it. I may be complety missing it or I'm just looking for the answer with the wrong search terms. Anyway, my problem, I created a template for a website, it all works grand. The template works perfectly in Contribute, I can specify a css style for a section of text, the text will style correctly, say for example font 16, green. But i cant set other properties for it such as text allignment ( left, right, centered, justified) unless i already specified it in the css style explicity. This seams a little mad, I have about 5 or 6 different style for different things, do I have to specify each css style with its specific attribute, e.g.
font 16, green, left allign,
font 16, green, right allign,
font 16, green, center allign,
font 16, green, justified allign,
then
font 16, green, left allign,bold
font 16, green, right allign,bold
font 16, green, center allign,bold
font 16, green, justified allign,bold
etc etc etc...for each possible thing i might need.
this is going to take a lot of work and makes the formatting of text in Contribute very tediuos and awkward. Is there a better way or am I just completly missing something very simple? I've been trying to find a solution on and off while i did the rest of the site for days!

If one wants to enter text into JTextField from right to left, he uses:

jtf.setHorizontalAlignment(JTextField.RIGHT);
I want elements of JTextField and JComboBox(text in my case) to appear from right to left. What can I do?

What I meant was, in the above image if u right click on the blue area, u will find text allignment properties (align right,left,bottom,top).
I cant provide u the screenshot as if now I am outstation thats why I have used the same image.
As u told earlier, we cant align the text in the review messages. But I think we have some options here.

Refresh data in JTable

hi, i hava a problem, i have a jtable where same Data column depend from another column of the same jtable and a jtextfield that is external to jtable
my jtable is
jcombobox | text | text | text ecc....
when the user change the SelectedItem of jcombobox the other column`s data is jacombobox values * external JtextField text....
if i change the value of the external jtextfield how can i refresh the data in the jtable whitout click over all cell???

It's fairly simple...
you need to have your own custom TableModel. Extend AbstractTableModel and when you go to set a cell (to change the data in that cell) you simply fire an event with the:
fireTableCellUpdated(int row, int column) method to let the view know that the data changed in that cell of that table changed and needs to be redrawn...

DW CS4 Horizontal Spry drop down menu not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer 8

I have created a horizontal Spry drop down menu in Dreamweaver CS4 with my own background images. I have done various modifications to the CSS script to accommodate the style and feel needed; including making the main buttons' height twice the size of the sub menu buttons and some alignments. It seems to work different depending which browser is used.
It works well in Google Chrome.
It works well in Firefox with the exception that if any of the buttons are clicked, thereafter a thin black line is diplayed horizontally across center of the top main buttons when the mouse rolls over them. I would like to correct this but is not nearly as bad as the problem I'm having in Internet Explorer 8.
Here is my biggest concern and I would greatly appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this matter.
Once opened in Internet Explorer 8 the main navigation buttons appear as they should. IE8 prompts me the following: "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer. Click here for options..". Once I allow IE8 to run scripts or ActiveX controls, the background image disappears and only shows on any menu or submenu button when the mouse rolls over that particular button. Can someone please help.

Hello Nancy,
I was troubleshooting For the next 8 hours after my post here and eventually I got it right, I uploaded the files to the test server and at the time did not have the chance to post the solution here. This is why, as you saw, it is working correctly now. Both the CSS and HTML files needed modifications. While working on the code I had to run IE8, Chrome and Firefox simultaneously and refresh all three after every change in the code because what would fix the problem in one would cause a problem for the other.
In addition to the problems listed in my original post, there were also other graphical issues in IE8, such as; the main menu buttons without sub-menus would only display at half their size vertically. The border around the buttons would not display despite that the background images were rendered in Photoshop as flattened JPEGs with boarders as part of the background image. Being so, I removed all borders from the CSS script.
By the way.. the IE8 security measure did pop up while working from the server.
Anyhow for those of you who are experiencing similar problems you can take a look at the working code bellow and compare it to the initial code. I've included detail comments on every line I have changed, modified or added.
Good luck.. as I know it can become a complicated task when creating custom Spry menus.

Oracle 10g Form not responding

Dear fellows,
i'm modifying the text and some text allignment in Oracle Form 10g...
but after compile it does not appears it should be and still
displaying like before the modification...
save and compile before run..but still the same
is there something is missed?

I meant, look at the FORMS_PATH variable in the default.env file (ORACLE_HOME/forms/server folder). There would be many folders added (something like c:\folder1;c:\folder2 etc). Open those folders (say c:\folder1, c:\folder2 etc) and see if the form you've changed exist in those folders. If yes, remove the fmx file from there and then try running.
Also, search for your forms fmx file (say if your form name is login.fmb, search for login.fmx) in your computer and delete all the fmx files (say with the name login.fmx), then do a compile all (Ctrl+Shift+K) and then generate (Ctrl+T) in the forms builder and then run it.

I have a workflow which send eMail notification to the users. I want to add 2 HTML buttons for approve and reject on this email notification.
For this I have embedded the following HTML snippet in the advanced properties (Message Body) of the email action in the workflow -

However when the user receives the mail, the buttons appear as plain text. Moreover the images are also missing.
Am I missing any specific configuration? Is there anything more that needs to be done to render a HTML button and images in an email generated from a workflow?
I would appreciate, if anyone could please help me resolve this issue.

Anyhoo, you are correct. A Task is used. I checked in SWI1 and the task associated with the mail is TS90000101. (not a ws) Does this help at all?
In the Business Process, it is the part where the system informs a Training coordinator that a training request by an employee have been approved by his/her manager.
Do I still check the FM below or are there any other way given the info above?

Adding a Custom Image to a Style

Yet another dumb question! Is it possible to add a customized image to a style? For example, I have a style named Caution and I want this style to use a specific image. If this is possible, please provide details for implementing it. If it is not possible, perhaps a snippet is the better option?

Thanks for the offer. One of the issues I have encountered is that the url for the image changes and then the image no longer appears. For example, I specify url("Note.png") and when I save the css the path is updated to url("../../Note.png"). Also, as I discussed previously, the formatting for multi-line entries is a bit wonky:
It would be nice to have the text alligned to the left.
