JCoRfcProvider: connection lost after a while

I have created a couple of EJBs and propagated them using JCoRfcProvider to an ABAP system, so that the backend can reach them. But after a while the backend looses the connection to the JCO server process: "program XXX not registered". After a restart of the RFC destination using Visual Admin everything is fine again. It seems that the connection between the systems is closed when it is idle for some time.
The <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/2c/760e4248fc5133e10000000a155106/frameset.htm">documentation</a> says:
If an RFC connection is interrupted or terminated, the JCo server automatically
registers itself again on the same SAP gateway under the same program ID.
Obviously, this automatic restart is not working, as the connection stays disabled once it has failed.
Is there a parameter I missed? Is this a JCO bug? How can I get this thing stable?
Best regards,
Frank

Hi all,
Lets start off with some info. I have a XP machine with a WRT310N router but the connection to the router from my computer is wired. I have other computers on the network(a wired XP work comp and a wireless vista laptop). I do have linksys Easylink Adviser but it is was to laggy and doesnt work half the time so I dont use it. My antivirus software is Panda Internet Security 2008.
My problem has only occurred twice but it has prevented me from trying to make a server again. I have been wanting to host a dedicated counter strike source server in steam for awhile.
I followed all the port forwarding directions. I get the static ip set up and I open the 27015 port for steam.
I will make a dedicated server and have a few people join and then I follow. Everything works perfectly for about 5 minutes and then my friends are dropped from the server due to loss of connection. I am still in the server but no one can join or even get info on it meaning the server is not responding.
I then close out of steam and the server and find I have lost my internet connection. I can not visit any websites, I can not do anything in steam, I cant log onto aim, xfire or anything.
Now my local connections dont say "Connection lost" like they do when the router is shut off or if I lose the actual connection.
The only way it seems I can get my connection back is by unplugging the router, waiting 20s and plugging it back in. Then I have to wait about 5 more mins and it will just all of a sudden work.
Does anyone have an idea of what is happening? Is it the router? My antivirus/firewall?
Thanks in advance
Greg

  • Connection lost after compilation

Hi, i am currently using a myrio accelerometer board. I was running my code,  but suddenly, an error pops up telling me my myrio connection is lost. I have checked everything, the usb and the power connection, everything is secured, and this error only came up after i edited my code, so i am thinking if there are anything in my code that causes this error. I have attached the vi and the error snapshot.

if you mean that after running your vi when stoped in and begin to edit vi , the connection is lost. it is obvious as you run the vi your PC get connected with rio , when you stop your vi  the connection established between your PC and rio is broken ans msg of connection lost pop up.

  • Bluetooth Connection lost after a few seconds - EV...

    Hey,
I have an new Nokua Lumia 920. I want to connect my Lumia via Bluetooth to my laptop and in the university I treif to connect it to another laptop, as well as to my old XDA Touch Diamon!
The problem: I can find all bluetooth devices and can also connect to them, BUT every connection is lost after about 5 seconds. This cannot be! Here are my firmware versions - are there issues?
    OS-version: 8.0.10211.204
    firmware-revision-version: 1232.5957.1308.0007
    hardware-revision-version: 1.0.0.0
    radio-software-version: 1.0.202093.3
    chip-SOC-Version: 8960
I am located in germany. Anyone has a hint or solution - phone nearly useless to me without bluetooth.
    Best regards

You do not have to be bluetooth connected to transfer files to and from the phone.
Initiate the trandfer and it will happen. If they have been paired before, no passcode will be required.
Theey won't keep a BT connection because none of the profiles the phone has requires one.

  • Bluetooth connection lost after wakeup ( CSR - bc4 )

    hi
after wakeup, my aluminium keyboard cannot connect anymore to my macbook pro. when i go to systempreferences/bluetooth i can see the bluetooth's host name is CSR - bc4 (???). when i turn bluetooth off and on again the hostname does set correctly to the name of my macbook-pro. after the restart of the bluetooth-service my keyboard works like a charm.
    any suggestions?
    greetings from switzerland

I am having the same problem.
If I use the new aluminium wireless keyboard (with my existing wireless mighty mouse) neither the mouse nor the keyboard reconnect to the computer on waking from sleep - it does announce that I have lost the bluetooth connection but tapping/clicking/waiting doesn't facilitate reconnection.
If I send the iMac to sleep again (using the power button - the only way I have to get any signal to my machine at this point - I haven't tried Morse Code yet) it does then recognise the peripherals on waking the second time.
I have also noticed that if I turn the mouse and keyboard off causing the "connection lost" warning and then put the machine to sleep, everything does reconnect on waking (switching them back on of course).
I have it set not to wake from sleep using bluetooth devices, so that I can tidy my mouse/keyboard away without disturbing the mac. Using my old white wireless keyboard (but the same Mighty Mouse) it works beautifully again as it always did in Tiger with only a minimal delay on waking from sleep before reconnecting automatically.
The aluminium keyboard is beautiful. But we need a fix - anyone? Is it a hardware problem? A set of dud keyboards? Has anyone found that a different aluminium wireless keyboard does work with the same setup? Or that their troublemaking keyboard does work on other machines?

  • Connection lost after 2 songs have been played.

Everytime I play songs from my macbook to ATV2 it plays only 2 - 3 songs then it hangs. I just got 4 songs out of it. I have to disconnect my home share and re connect to start it again. Any ideas why this would be happening. I've browsed the forum to see that other people have this issue, but there is no answer as to what is causing it. Surely its not the router as I have a new router. ATV2 streams movies without any interruption so I dont get why it happens to songs through itunes.

  • Wireless connection lost after macbook pro sleeps for more than 15 minutes

It's annoying. I have a brand new macbookpro 3.06Ghz 17" hi-res screen running OS-X 10.6.3 and the wireless connection keeps dropping after the computer is either turned off or sleeping for more than 15 minutes.
My router is a linksys wireless G, has dd-wrt software in it which is very powerful. When I release or renew the DHCP at the router, the mackbook connects to the wireless network, no problem.
What configuration can be done at the macbook as to not have it time-out airport wireless connections unless I renew/release DHCP at the router? This is an annoyance beyond the limits of anyone's patience.... Thanks in advance for any help!

Well, since nobody answered this post I decided to try a bunch of things and I believe I came to a solution:
1 - Make airport the first connection under System Preferences->Network
2 - In the advanced window:
    - Under AirPort: Keep only one network name on the list (the one you use all the time)
    - Select 'remember networks this computer has joined' and deselect all other boxes
    - Take note of the Airport ID (xx:xx:xx:xx:xx) and put it in your router's MAC address list. I do this because I only allow connections to my router from mac IDs that are on the list I create. In my case, I have my macbook pro and my PS3 system. If you don't know how to edit the MAC list in your router, do some research. It's pretty easy.
    - Under TCP/IP: Select "Using DHCP" on the IPv4 drop box
    - Select "Off" for IPV6 drop box
    - Under DNS, after you connect at least once, you should see (grayed out) your router's IP address on the left box and the domain on the right side box.
Finally, under "Ethernet" you should see your Mac address there, the configure option should be set to Automatically and MTU as standard (1500).
Press OK and then press "Apply" and lock that screen by clicking on the padlock at the bottom left. BTW on the top of this screen Location should be "Automatic" - if not, select it and apply.
Done! Your wireless should connect quickly after the computer is turned on or waken up from sleep state. This assumes you configured your router correctly (mac addresses, frequencies, etc).
Good Luck to all who try this - at least I have not have any more dropped wireless connections.

  • Wireless Internet connectivity lost after sleep

I've got a problem where I keep losing my wireless network connection after going to sleep.
The situation is that I'm connecting to my university's secure network. I have the credentials saved on my MacBook. When I need to go and leave my computer on my desk, I go back to the login window, and close the lid. When I come back and open it again, I'm instantly asked for the network password, at the login screen. Regardless of whether I enter it or dismiss the dialog, I'm unable to get a connection automatically after I resume my user session. There's an exclamation mark on the network icon and it says that there's no internet connection on the menu. When I click on this warning, I'm asked to repair the network connection and re-connect to it. This works, but I'd much rather that this be done automatically. Is there no way for me to resume connectivity after waking up my MacBook without having to manually re-connect?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

The problem's still happening in 10.6.2. I lose my Internet connection when I go back to the login window, then close the lid on my MacBook so that it goes to sleep. When I awake it, and log back in, I'm shown as being connected to the network, but not to the Internet. I have to manually re-connect.
When I just close the lid without exiting to the login window, it appears that my Internet connection is re-established automatically, though, on re-awakening. I'm puzzled as to why this is occurring. It looks like a bug to me.

  • Macbook connectivity lost after waking up from sleep mode or rebooting

Being an Ex-Microsoft user , I am sad to say that Microsoft products still beats Apple's MAC in stability for certain functions.
For instance, this Macbook laptop does not seem to be able to reconnect to the home's gateway/ router (or any other gateway, for the matter) after it wakes up from sleep mode or rebooting.
I've read several similar posts on this topic in the internet and am convince to say that it is not the gateway/ router that the Mac is connected to giving the problem as there are other computers(Microsoft-based) connected to the same gateway working perfectly fine.
Furthermore the Fujitsu laptop I was using previously had connected to the gateway flawlessly... until the darn-thing broke down (grumble....grumble...)
So far, it seemingly so, that no other person has managed to figure and resolve this one out yet. Also, no Apple support staff has responded nor helped resolved other related-connectivity problems.
Is there a real hope for us??

The previous solution only worked for a few days.
I have another fix from Apple that is working (for now):
Go to the network preference pane and create a new location by using the location pull-down menu. Call it whatever you want.
Select the new location. Choose the little tool icon dropdown under the left column of services and choose "set service order" Drag things around so that airport comes first and then ethernet. Save, apply, do what you need to do to save all of these settings. Restart the computer.
There might have been some other steps, but these are the main and most important parts.
The default configuration for service order is wrong and the computer gets hung looking around for a bluetooth or firewire network connection. After every major system update, check that the service order is set right--it could get overwritten.

  • Internet connection lost after machine sleeps or idle for a while

I upgraded my 24" iMac, 2.16 to a 27" iMac I7. I am now having probles remaining connected to the internet after the machine is idle for a while. I am using a Time Capsule and cable router and have been using the same two devices before the ungrade in my computer. I am also using OpenDNS, again as before. My computer is wired to the TC via ethernet and my wife's computer is wireless. She has no problem. She does not lose connectivity at all on her iMac 24". The drop occurrs time to time after the machine sleeps or sits idle for a while. I know Ive seen various threads about connectivity issues but can't seem to find an answer. Help is appreciated.

I had a very similar problem which I fixed like this:
    1) Move the file /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.airport.preferences.plist to your Desktop.
    2) Reboot
Snow Leopard will rebuild this file from other info.
This sorted out all my won't connect/loses connection issues.

  • Network connection lost after waking from sleep

    iMac (27" late 2013) running Yosemite 10.10.
Ethernet connection direct to the computer from the FIOS router.
Upon waking from sleep, the computer is not connected to the internet.
After about 20 seconds it finally reconnects.
Under Mavericks it never lost the connection by sleeping - was instantly connected upon wake up.
I tried creating a new location under the network system preferences and ordered it so that Ethernet was the first to connect.
    That didn't change anything.
Any suggestions how to fix this?  I don't want to have to wait every time I wake up the computer.
    Really bugging me.

    Update on my situation.
I have tried many things to get this fixed including:
SMC reset (for an iMac this means unplugging it, waiting, and plugging back in)
    PRAM reset
    deleted the "system configuration" folder
Still no luck.  Upon freshly booting the machine, it gets to the desktop and opens up mail for me, but the internet is not connected right away.  Still takes an additional 15seconds or so after Mail boots up to get a connection.  Then everything works fine.  If the computer sleeps, it doesn't have internet upon waking, but again will establish a connection (self assign an IP address) after about 15-20 seconds.
So while not crippling, these 15-20 second waits are very annoying.
Interestingly, this is ONLY with a wired Ethernet connection.  If I use WiFi everything connects right away.  But my WiFi is slower than the wired connection and I prefer to use the wired connection.
    Any further suggestions are welcome.
    Chris

  • Ethernet connection lost after update to 10.5.7

I lost my Ethernet connection after the 10.5.7 update. I have checked all cables and ports. Any ideas?

Hi, I tried rebooting with shift down, then rebooting again. No network still.
I looked in /var/log/system.log, but nothing from AppleYukon2.
I pasted the relevant portion from system.log beginning with the shutdown prior to rebooting with shift. I hope there's not too much text...........
The log below includes the reboot while holding shift as well as the subsequent reboot.
I did see several useful messages in the system log (below), for example:

  • Router connection lost after connecting modem

    Router: WRT54GX4
Background: My desktop PC had been connected to the internet through my router and DSL modem just fine. But I forgot my router password, so I reset the router.
Situation: Now my PC communicates with the router fine when the modem is NOT connected to the router (I can ping the router, access the router's Utility screens, etc.). Once I connect modem to the router, though, my PC can no longer ping or see the router. My PC will still connect fine to the internet when directly connected to the modem.
Attempted Fixes: I've believe I've tried every combination of turning off/turning on the equipment. For example, while I have a good PC/router connection, I've connected the modem to the router (and lost the router connection). Then I tried starting out with a good PC/router connection, powered off the router, connected the modem, then powered the router back on (and lost the network connection). I've restarted the PC after connecting the modem to the router, et cetera, et cetera. Every scenarion I try ends up with me losing the router connection to the PC.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

After you reset the router to factory defaults, you need to setup the router again.  Use the setup disk that came with the router, or setup the router manually if you prefer.  It sounds like your "Intenet Connection Type" is not setup correctly.
    Please state your ISP.
Also state the make and model of your modem.
Do you have cable modem, or DSL, or ADSL ?
Did your ISP give you a PPPoE user name and password?

  • Wireless connection lost after standby !

My ibook G4 has a strange problem. Everytime, I restart the computer, the wireless internet works fine. However, just after every short standby or disconnection, the internet connection always got lost.
The airport says it is connected, while the network status says it is connected to my network, but airport cannot find the IP address and cannot connect to internet.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are there other (stronger) wireless networks in your area (when you click on the airport icon, in that case you should see a list of wireless networks in the drop down list)?.
You may want to switch your airport settings to always connect to yours instead of 'connect automatically'.

  • Java lost after crash while updating, can't seem to get it back

    hi,
while running software update, my computer crashed and i seem to have lost java.
i've dowloaded a number of jse releases.
most of them didn't work, one did:
    java15release1
    however, when trying to install:
    j2se50 release 1-5, i got the alert
"unable to locate java on this volume" (yes it's the right volume)
i got these errors before and after the succesfull install.
i tried renstalling that one, but it doesn't help.
java is unrecognized in terminal, max-msp (a music app) and the sun's test site crashed firefox.
so, would be nice if anyone could help, i tried some things i found by searching, but they came down to what i had tried already.
pity, was just about to take on java programming...
btw i have the developers tools installed if that might matter.
    thanks in advance

hmmm this seems to slip downpage really easily, please don't mind me for bumping it.
