JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Vertex

I have a copy of "JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tax Processing 9.0 Implementation Guide" dated September 2008. Is there anything later? Or is there a specific guide just for Vertex O?

You can get all of the JDE MTRs at this link but keep in mind this is only miniums (you will need a login to the Oracle support site to access this link). The sizing of JDE hardware depends on many factors, total users, concurrent users, data base size, projected growth, JDE applications in use.
https://support.oracle.com/CSP/ui/flash.html#tab=KBHome(page=KBHome&id=()),(page=KBNavigator&id=(from=BOOKMARK&bmDocType=REFERENCE&bmDocDsrc=KB&bmDocID=705410.1&bmDocTitle=EnterpriseOne%20Minimum%20Technical%20Requirements%20-%20What's%20New&viewingMode=1143))
So you really need the help of someone experienced with JDE implementations. If you have purchased JDE then the VAR you bought it from I would assume will be help you to implement. If that isn't the case then will want to find a company for this.
I have been doing JDE Consulting for 11 years and have very deep experience If you are looking for help please feel free to contact me at [email protected]

  • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne HCM

We are currently implementing HCM Module of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and unfortunately as being explained by the implementing company, JD Edwards HCM is using the methodology of hours in computation of payroll (and everything as well in relation to the payroll).
Is there a work around in order not to use the methodolgy of hours as we here in our company is using days?
I'm sorry if I posted this question under this section for I have no idea if where would be the suitable section to post my question.

  • How to add new company in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

    Hi all
I am trying to create a new company on the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, but I dont know how to do so. I try to navigate on the General Ledger setup menus, but there i dont find the possibility to add a new company. As i was reading the implementation guide it was saying that the system comes with a set of predefined types of companies.
Can you please tell me if there is a possibility to add a completely new company in the system and please advice how to do so.
    Thank you and best regards

If I am getting your question correctly, you intend to configure a new legal entity in E1. For this, go to "Company Names and Numbers application" using E1 Mene or type P0010 in the fast path. Hope it helps.
    Thanks.

  • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne not populating correc environment.

    Hello
first of all, if this is not the correct section for this post please let me know ehere to move it to.
now, i have some users that acccess JDE via citrix, and they are not getting the environment variable propperly populated, this happens both in and off citrix (accessing the program directly from the server)
before i go into the details of the attempted steps, i should say that they use 3 different environment from 3 different locations, and somehow this other environments are getting populated in the logon screen that is supposed to direct the connection to a specific environment.
ok, so JDE ins installed on a Win2k3 32bit system running with local profiles.
if i login the user "a" directly to the host server and execute the application, it loads the propper environment, however if i log the user "b" to the host in the exact same way, the user "b" will get the environment from another location, and of course the login will fail, if i attempt to change the environment from the logon screen, i get a message stating that the logon failed.
i have tried recreating the windows profile for the "b" user i will get the same result, i have also tried copying overwrite the profile of the "b" user with the information of the "a" user with the same result.
    any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Bad link in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Documentation Libraries

The download link on the http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/jdedarch.html page for Part Number B28733-01 (JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.11 PeopleBooks) points to a zip file with PeopleSoft Enterprise 8.9 documentation.

It really depends on the license for the database that you purchased. The only restriction I am aware of in regards to EnterpriseOne is a restriction on the Oracle Database IF you are using the database license that comes with the Red Stack licensing. This is an unlimited use license for Oracle Standard Database and is only good for EnterpriseOne. Meaning, if you use this license, you cannot use the database for other 3rd party applications. Where this would be seen is if you had EnterpriseOne on the Oracle Standard database and tried to also use that Oracle database for something like DSI. That would be a violation of the license agreement. However, there is no license violation that I am aware of if you install EnterpriseOne onto say a Oracle RAC cluster that you licensed separately outside of the tech foundation license. In that case, you would only be bound by whatever licensing restrictions there are in place with the version of the Oracle Database you purchased. Things like licensing per processor. You could still make changes to the EnterpriseOne database as you see fit. No different than E1 running on any other database platform.

  • Certification in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (CNC)

Is there any exam available for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (CNC)? If no official certification, I would like to know what some good "supporting" certifications & trainings for a CNC Administrator.

Go to oracle.com. You do not need to be registered to get to this site. On the right side, under Resources section, click on Education, Certification. That gets you to the Oracle University web site. On the left side, click on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne link. Then on that window click on one of the Tools and Technology learning paths. That will give you the courses you should take to get CNC training. There is no certification for CNC. At least Oracle does not list any on its certification web site, and I am not aware of any myself. Keep in mind that EnterpriseOne may have a limited future. At some point Oracle is going to merge all its ERP product lines into one line. Just something to think about. Hope this information helps a bit.

  • Hands On Lab: JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Business Services Development

I am attempting to complete the tasks in the lab listed in this thread's title, but I am having trouble with it.
    My EOne versions are:
    App. Vers.: 8.12
    Tools Vers.: 8.97.10
When attempting to add a published business service object to my project, when prompted for Source Language, "BSSV" is not one of the options I have available. All I have are "C" and "NER".
What do i need to do to have "BSSV" as one of my Source Language options?
    Thanks,
    Michael

If it is not too late!
To Develop BSSV (an object type in OMW, to invoke JDeveloper), the prerequisites are!
EnterpriseOne Tool Release 8.98, is required. In this release OMW Form has been changed to select BSFN > C or NER or BSSV.
    EnterpriseOne E8.12 is required.

  • Reader XI and Vertex Colors

    Hi all,
in Reader XI vertex colors aren't multiplied with diffuse colors anymore, like in previous reader versions.
Instead diffuse colors are replaced by vertex colors when used.
Vertex colors with diffuse textures still work fine.
    Greetings,
    Chuck

    Dave Merchant wrote:
... in a math-model scenario where vertex colors represent a fourth parameter on a 3D surface, it is absolutely proper that the VC-generated texture ignores lighting, so the true 'value' is displayed.
Remember that only VC-colored surfaces behave this way - if you want some part of a scene reacting to lighting and shadows, don't give that node any VCs.
If a 3D surface ignores lighting, the three other parameters (x,y,z) become hard to assess.
    Compare the examples
    http://www2.iaas.msu.ru/tmp/test_texture.pdf and http://www2.iaas.msu.ru/tmp/test_vertex_color.pdf .
When you move around the model, it is much easier to get the shape of the surface when it responds to lighting.
In VC case it is impossible to see if the mono-colored end of the tube is open or closed, for example.
The stability and simplicity of VCs are really valuable features (for example, the textured model looks differently in Software and OpenGL renderes, while the VCed one looks the same), but mandatory ignoring of lighting is more of a disservice in the interactive viewer, where user is expected to be able (with default GUI) to change camera position, lighting and (with JavaScript or view dictionaries) move parts of the model around.
On the other hand, this thread started with complaint about how Adobe does _not_ care about the stabilty of results achieved with VCs. So 3D PDFs can not be relied upon as the only way to convey important color information in any case (but can serve as an additional tool, esp. for insruction). There is a long way from PDF-E to PDF-A.
As not giving node VCs - it is possible if you control the whole drawing block of an application.
If you try to create a PRC or U3D output driver for an existing program, you may find that driver API deals with VCed primitives. And such design is quite reasonable, since the authors of the built-in OpenGL viewer of such a program did RTFM glColorMaterial, so know how to drive both diffuse and emissive color with VC.
PS. My _guess_ is that logic has nothing to do with the support for vertex colors in Adobe 3D viewer.
I suspect that when Adobe U3D viewer was first introduced, it was based on Right Hemisphere 3D viewer, that did not support VCs, so minimal VC support was hacked in, just to have some. The introduction of PRC could not change much, since even in the PRC format spec VCs look like an afterthought. And we are going live with that ad hoc code, since declared commitment of Adobe to open 3D standards is not translated into action when it comes to allocating 3D programmers time (if they still have any such programmers left). /* Hope to be wrong. */
