  • Fatal Run Time Error - unknown source position thread id

    Hi All,
    I am using LabWindows CVI 2013 in order to display data from my controller.
    I have defined some functions to activate the communication with the controller and read data from it.
    The communication activation with the controller is being done inside the Main block before loading the UI panels.
    I created a command button that activates the data reading function (Get Register) from the controller.
    When calling the reading function I received a Fatal Run Time Error. Attached please find.
    When I moved the reading function to the main block before loading the UI, the program didn't crush.
    What is the cause for that?
    Thanks for your support.

    Hi Haim,
    Could you explain what you mean by moving the function to the main block? Does that mean instead of having a callback, you added the four lines in that callback (according to the attached image) to the main function? When you do this, does the code execute correctly?
    And can you tell me what DLL package you are using that contains the Jet32Functions.GetRegister function?
    The error is very generic, so it is hard to say what is causing it without seeing the entirety of the code, but it appears that there is a conflict in the thread control. Does the error occur only when you activate the callback by clicking the command button? Which lines are executed in the callback before the error occurs?
    It would be helpful if you could attach your source file or at least a screenshot of the working code so I can see the entire main function.
    Steven

  • Fatal run time error: unknown source position

    I am getting a fatal run-time error when using CVI 8.0.1.  I get the error when any program I write is exiting.  Here's an example source:
    #include <ansi_c.h>
    int main(void)
        char buf[512];
        printf("press enter to exit\n");
        gets(buf);
        return 0;
    after I press enter to exit, the program hangs for a few seconds and then I get the error.  This only started happening after I upgraded to CVI 8.0.1.  I have tried uninstalling / reinstalling / going back to earlier versions and I always have the problem now.

    It sounds like something went wrong with the initial install or possibly there was problems with removing previous versions. Since uninstalling and reinstalling did not fix this, I would suggest you to use a utility called MSI Blast. This will show all installations that are on your machine and allow you to remove these installations. This is a last resort program and should never be used to replace Add/Remove Programs, but since something sounds as if it is corrupt, I feel it is best to use this. Here is the link.
    ftp://ftp.ni.com/outgoing/msiblast.zip
    You will need to remove and reinstall all NI components to assure that we remove the corrupt file. It is definitely something local to your machine as I was not able to replicate the problem with your provided code. Please run this utility and let me know once you have pick this up off of the ftp, as we do not leave this utility up for long.

    Gerry,
    Its difficult to say much without more information,  but when I have encountered this problem while debugging a dll, the program flow halts at the function returning the error.  Default behavior in CVI 2010 environment I believe is to break on library errors.  This can be verified/set in the Run->Break on->Library errors menu setting.  Also important, both the calling application AND the .dll must have been built in debug mode.  If that is true, and the "break on Library errors" mode is checked, when the program is executed, program flow will halt at the first occurrence of a library error, with a description in the Run-Time Errors box.  If the error is thrown within the .dll, then you will see execution stop there.
    Once this happens, you can right click on the offending function to open the function panel, and use the built in help to determine what -12 means.
    If you need further help, please provide more information about the problem
    Regard,
    Ryk

  • Cannot connect to oracle db with - ensureMemberAccess(Unknown Source) error

    Hi there!
    i'm trying to run a simple applet to check connection with the oracle db:
    import java.sql.*;
    import oracle.jdbc.driver.*;
    class JDBCVersion
    public static void main (String args [])
    throws SQLException
    // Load the Oracle JDBC driver
    DriverManager.registerDriver
    (new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
    System.out.println("registered!");
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection
    ("jdbc:oracle:thin:@host:1521:sid","user","pass");
    // Create Oracle DatabaseMetaData object
    DatabaseMetaData meta = conn.getMetaData ();
    // gets driver info:
    System.out.println("JDBC driver version is " + meta.getDriverVersion());
    I'm not getting any errors during the compilation and my CLASSPATH is ok pointing to the ojdbc14.jar file, i'm running j2sdk1.2.4_12 and the error
    when I'm trying to load applet is:
    java.lang.IllegalAccessException: Class com.opera.PluginPanel can not access a member of class JDBCVersion with modifiers ""

         at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
    What is wrong???
    Any help would be very appreciable...
    Thanx.

    thank you for your valuable reply, but could you add
    some more additional information?Since I don't write applets and don't know anything additional, no.
    You might try posting your question in a forum that deals with applets and/or the Java security model. Or maybe if you wait long enough, someone who knows both JDBC and applet security will happen along and decide to answer your question.

    I really need this answer and I don't have another place to ask. I explain much more what I did herebelow.
    I created a portlet project and created a faces portlet. I created "report" folder under WEB-INF and put a report in it. The report can be previewed successfully. Then I  added Report Page Viewer to portlet. It asked file path of the report. I entered /test8/WebContent/WEB-INF/report/IPRPSD001.rpt. Then jsf page looks like below.
    I see that "reportWrapper" managed bean was created in faces_config.xml and points the report I selected.
    When I run this project following errors come:
    [5/28/10 9:53:42:664 EEST] 0000009f SystemErr     R java.lang.NullPointerException

    What's wrong with this code?

    if(newPolygon) {
    polygon = new PolygonData();This is the probable cause. Since newPolygon is initially false, it will not execute the if statement and polygon will not be initialised. So later in your code when you attempt to use polygon it is null.That did it.
    Thanks!

  • URGENT URGENT: MySQL unknown source error

    Hi, need ur help again.
    I have a web application that uses mysql 4.1.1 as database and tomcat 4.1.29. This application connects to 5 databases.
    First database is main database for application.
    Second database is used to retrieve records for report generation only.
    Third and forth database do the same as second database.
    Fifth database uses for authentication, which is in different machine.
    NOTE that 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th database are on same machine.
    All the database connection work fine (can make connection and retrieve records) in windows platform (where the tomcat and database server are installed in window).
    However, when i test the application in linux platform (where the tomcat and database server are installed in linux), the connection to 2nd,3rd and 4th database fail. The log files shows that there are error known as 'Unknown source'.
    What can i do?

    Ok, i found the problem.
    There is a case-sensitve issue: the table name.
    thanks.

    A few things to note:
    1) Crystal Report 2013 doe snot install any SDK. Thus the assumption is that you are using CR from teh following link:
    SAP BusinessObjects - SAP Crystal Reports, Version For Eclipse Download
    2) Since you are using a 64 bit connection (Oracle Client 11g 62 bit ODBC driver) you will have to make sure you are using 64 bit JVM. Otherwise, follow Dell's advice and use a 32 bit ODBC datasource.
    3) On one test you are using Oracle Client 10g 32 bit ODBC driver and the other you are using Oracle Client 11g 64 bit ODBC driver. You might want to see if you can run your app using Client 11g 32 bit ODBC driver.

    nice trick:)
    This problem hasn't been solved yet, and now I found something harder to solve with this Oracle database and it's JDBC when I was using a synchronous scenario.
    Check the following adapter log:

    2007-02-28 10:11:01 Error The message status set to FAIL.
    2007-02-28 10:11:01 Error Returning synchronous error message to calling application: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.MessageExpiredException: Sync application request expired..
    Between the 2007-02-28 10:03:53 and 2007-02-28 10:10:59, what takes it so long to process? Also it happens randomly.
    Since it is synchronous, the remote database table has been updated but the connection with XI has been disconnected for timeout issue, which lead to unrecoverable data inconsistent problem.
    Anyone who can help me?

  • Intermittent JDBC error in Enhanced Receiver Determination

    Hi,
    I have an interface that use Enhanced Receiver Determination in PI 7.1 EHP1.
    The database is DB2 on i5/os 6.1
    Sometimes message ends in error :Error when determining the receiver: Problem while determining receivers using interface mapping: Runtime exception occurred during application mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_HI01_to_ReceiverDetermination_;
    But the same message with same values is successfull earlier.
    This is not a design problem; the interface is working well 95% of the time.
    I found some JDBC error in NWA java logs:
    Error in sax handler parsing request: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'table' (structure 'statement'): java.sql.SQLException: [SQL0104] Token "BUSINESS_SYSTEM" was not valid. Valid tokens: FOR SKIP WITH FETCH ORDER UNION EXCEPT OPTIMIZE.

    Any idea? Can high volume cause the JDBC Receiver to fail?
    Martin

    hi,
    you r trying to impliment Lookup for the file adapter which is not synch in nature and hance u r not getting the responce back.
    please find the link which deals with how to impliment lookup for file adapter.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/xi/file%252blookup%252bin%252budf.
    now once u get rhe runtime receiver u can perform enhanced receiver determination (write a simple UDF)
    regards,
    navneet.

  • SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC - Error establishing sockets

    Hi there
    I am using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC to connect to SQL Sever 2000. It is just a test application to see if it would connect to the datacase successfully. But I got the following errors. I already set up the classpath and installed all SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC sp 3. Dont know why it still failed...can anyone help me out of this? Thanks.
    When i am using simple JDBC-ODBC bridge Driver it's working fine.
    For this Server Pack3 , i have checked every thing like--
    TCP / IP Poart is Enable.
    I am working in client machine, my MSSQLServer 2000 Placed in server Machine.
    when i am giving Telnet ServerIP 1433 it's giving following response.
    connecting to ServerIP ....... could not open connection to the host , on port 1433:connection Failed
    My Sample Code is :--
    String user="sa";
    String password="imcindia";
    Connection con1 = null;
    CallableStatement cstmt = null;
    Class.forName("com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver").newInstance();
    con1=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://ServerName:1433;DatabaseName=dmo1o2d",user,password);
    Statement st=con1.createStatement();
    st.execute("use dm0102d");
    st.execute("setuser 'dm01012'");
    cstmt = con1.prepareCall("{?=Call dms_ex_create_folder('ABC','18753','NB21','u')}");
    cstmt.execute();
    Here are Error Code :

    hey i also have this problem i have been looking for solution for this problem for along time i tried every possible solution i tried every service pack for the SQL but it didn't connect to the port!!!
    it's a network problem ur java code is correct dont worry about it.
    finally i had to install MySQL and it's work fine now but if u insist on usning SQL u have to use the JDBC-ODBC Bridge it will work by :
    first add data source database , follow these steps
    1- go to Administrative tools
    2-Data Sources(ODBC)
    3-System DNS tab and add then choose SQL SERVER the last option then finish
    4-write the name; Note: this name is the one that u will write in ur URL for example if u write Hello the URL will be "jdbc:odbc:Hello"
    5- choose the server, its recommended to write "." or (local)
    6-change the database to its an important step to choose the database that u want to use, choose northwind if u want to use it
    finish
    second
    adding this code:
    import java.sql.*;
    class JdbcTest1 {
    public static void main (String[] args) {
    try {
    // Step 1: Load the JDBC driver.
    Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
    // Step 2: Establish the connection to the database.
    String url = "jdbc:odbc:Hello";
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url,"user1","password");
    } catch (Exception e) {
    System.err.println("Got an exception! ");
    System.err.println(e.getMessage());
    it will work without any problems
