JDev 11g generates jaxrpc File instead of jaxws
Hello *,
I found some interesting behaviour but haven't digged deeper into that area.
Whe I generate a jax-ws WebService with JDeveloper 11g, it generates me on the filesystem besides the PortType implementation a file called +"MyService.jaxrpc"+.
To me it looks like, it contains the JDev project file because it lists all project containing files as well as several information about the generation process (+TopDown+).
Can someone explain me please for what JDev uses this file for?
Regards,
Christoph
I think this rpc mapping file contains info. about wsdl and its associated java interfaces to create stubs.

OSB business service on jdev 11g generated db adapter
Is it still possible to generate the db-adapter in jdev and import the resources in osb and create a business service with jca transport based on this wsdl?
the documentation is only describing how to it should work based on a 10.1.3 generated db adapter.
In the 11g the resources of the db-adapter are different (external jca property file etc).
So..whats the way to go for this when using the 11g stack ?So..whats the way to go for this when using the 11g stack ?Current version of OSB (OSB 10.3.1) does not support 11g adapter stack. The next release of OSB will support 11g Adapters.

I have a master-detail table - table on a page.
When I run this page I get this WARNING :

{color:#3366ff}partialTriggers="mas1"{color}
The selection listener for the master table is :

Is it because of this bug ??

Bug in JDev 11g: clicking "Run" button won't run active file
Hi everybody.
If you start a new Application in Oracle JDeveloper 11g and start creating Java classes, at some point you're bound to create a main() function in one of them to ensure everything is working correctly, even if that class is not your application entry point.
The problem is that, once you run it the first time, JDev 11g will always attempt to run that original class instead of the file you're currently working on.
More info:
- This only happens with the "Run" and "Debug" toolbar buttons and menu items, the keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl-F11 and such) work as expected.
- The checkbox labeled "Attempt to Run Active File Before Default" in the Launch Settings is selected (The "Default Run Target" textbox is empty).
I downloaded the JDev 11g version that came WITHOUT a JDK and I'm running Java version 1.6.0_07 on Windows XP.
Thanks in advance for any help.More info on the subject:
Oracle JDev 11g seems to be unable to detect that there is an active file at all! This is evidenced by the fact that all of the External Tools are inactive at all times.
Is it JDev's fault, or is it the installed JDK's? -

does anyone had this problem , please help, i´m trying to solve this problem and still couldn´t make it.

They require Java EE 1.5 and JDK 6. -
How can I generate spool files in tmp extension instead of SHD and SPL ?
Hello,
It´s a simple question, I Have some problems with SHD and SPL files that are generated in some desktops when someone want printing something.
In others desktops that generated TMP files, I can print quickly and without problems!
How I make this configuration to turn the extension files? I need some configuration ?
Thanks a bunch if someone may help me!It works - thanks so much! Note if others have this issue, you may think it's not working - you'll still get the same pop-up box with only two options - "open" or "save". However, when you click "save", it then gives you the option where you'd like to save it to.

JDev 11g - WSDL generation using HTTP binding - WSDL2Java
I'm using JDev 11.1.1.3.0. Trying to create a WSDL that uses only an HTTP binding (non-SOAP) to recreate a web service I'm trying to connect to. My hope is to create the WSDL and use the 'Java Web Service from WSDL' tool (WSDL2Java) to create the Java client code for connecting to the web service. (No, the author of the web service does not support SOAP. Sigh).
First off, I do not see an option to create a straight HTTP binding using the 'WSDL Editor/Create Binding' dialog, (only SOAP11, SOAP12, Java, EJB, JCA, JMS, Custom). So I manually created the binding based on what I could find in the w3c. Here it is slightly modified with bogus namespaces and URL addresses:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<definitions targetNamespace="https://my.server.com/context/"
xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
xmlns:http="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/http/"
xmlns:tns="https://my.server.com/context/"
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
xmlns:mime="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/mime/"
xmlns:types="https://my.server.com/context//types"
xmlns:java="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/java/"
xmlns:format="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/formatbinding/">
<types>
<xsd:schema targetNamespace="https://my.server.com/context//types"
elementFormDefault="qualified"/>
<xsd:schema>
<xsd:import schemaLocation="MyRequest.xsd" namespace="https://my.server.com/context//types"/>
</xsd:schema>
<xsd:schema>
<xsd:import schemaLocation="MyResponse.xsd" namespace="https://my.server.com/context//types"/>
</xsd:schema>
<xsd:schema>
<xsd:import schemaLocation="Common.xsd" namespace="https://my.server.com/context//cmn"/>
</xsd:schema>
</types>
<portType name="AvailabilityServices">
<operation name="RequestAvailability">
<input message="tns:AvailabilityRequestMessage"/>
<output message="tns:AvailabilityResponseMessage"/>
</operation>
</portType>
<message name="AvailabilityRequestMessage">
<part name="part" element="types:PNARequest"/>
</message>
<message name="AvailabilityResponseMessage">
<part name="part" element="types:PNAResponse"/>
</message>
<binding name="AvailabilityServicesHTTPBinding"
type="tns:AvailabilityServices">
<http:binding verb="POST"/>
<operation name="RequestAvailability">
<http:operation location="RequestAvailability"/>
<input>
<mime:content type="application/xml"/>
</input>
<output>
<mime:mimeXml/>
</output>
</operation>
</binding>
<service name="AvailabilityService">
<port name="AvailabilityServicesPort"
binding="tns:AvailabilityServicesHTTPBinding">
<http:address location="https://my.server.com/context/"/>
</port>
</service>
</definitions>
I really don't know if the the input and output tags for the binding are correct. I've tried <mime:mimeXml/> for both. I basically want to just send and receive the XSD schemas as straight XML over HTTP. Is this right?

Anybody know how to write a WSDL with a non-SOAP HTTP binding and then generate Java from it?
ThanksOkay, I'll check it out. I know the newest version of SoapUi handles REST services (not sure if that's what I'm trying to attempt) so maybe I could 'ping' the web service using it.
But seeing how this is a JDeveloper forum, I was hoping somebody could help me create a WSDL with HTTP bindings using the JDeveloper tool set, or at least identify if I have correctly defined the HTTP binding in my sample WSDL. Does JDev 11g not have this functionality? -
Creating a webservice from PL/SQL Package in JDev 11g
Hi All...
I have a PL/SQl package and I am using JDEv 11g. I want to create it as a webservice. I want to deploy it in a remote server. Can I deploy it from my client machine. In server Weblogic already started. What are the prerequisites, that we need to deploy a wbservice. I done the following steps.
1. Create an application.
2. Right click the package and select Generate Java option.
3. It create a Java class in the Application sources.
4. Double click the class and select Create Web Service. It created the web service.
5. When I select the webservice and click Run it shows the following error. It going to the Default \server. Actually I need it in a remote server.

its very urgent...
Regards,
Resmi.Oh, no - another very urgent question. The world must be about to end ;)
Resmi, Have a read of [url http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=883293]this - JDeveloper 11g, as of today, doesn't (at least is not supposed to) support publishing PL/SQL procedures/packages as a web service.

Getting SSLHandshakeException when trying to login to OCOD using Jdev 11g
Hi,
I used the following code to login to OCOD in JDev 10g and SOA 10g.
public String logon(String wsLocation, String userName, String password)
String sessionString = "FAIL";
try
// create an HTTPS connection to the On Demand webservices
URL wsURL = new URL(wsLocation + "?command=login");
HttpURLConnection wsConnection =
(HttpURLConnection) wsURL.openConnection();
// we don't want any caching to occur
wsConnection.setUseCaches(false);
// we want to send data to the server
// wsConnection.setDoOutput(true);
// set some http headers to indicate the username and passwod we are using to logon
wsConnection.setRequestProperty("UserName", userName);
wsConnection.setRequestProperty("Password", password);
wsConnection.setRequestMethod("GET");
// see if we got a successful response
if (wsConnection.getResponseCode() == HttpURLConnection.HTTP_OK)
// get the session id from the cookie setting
sessionString = getCookieFromHeaders(wsConnection);
catch (Exception e)
System.out.println("Logon Exception generated :: " + e);
return sessionString;
However, when I run the same in JDev 11g as a standalone program, I get following error
javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
When I run this as embedded java in BPEL code in 11g, I get following error
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cipher not initialized
I searched for ALL cacerts file in both JDev and Weblogic directories and added the certificate. I used steps described in Invalid SSL Certificate to save the certificate and then used keytool to add the certificate to all the cacerts file. However the problem is persisting.
I added the certificate to cacerts in following directories
C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdev_home\jdk160_18\jre\lib\security
C:\Oracle\Middleware\11g_home\jdk160_18\jre\lib\security
C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdev_home\wlserver_10.3\server\lib
C:\Oracle\Middleware\11g_home\wlserver_10.3\server\lib
C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdev_home\jdk160_18\fastdebug\jre\lib\security
C:\Oracle\Middleware\11g_home\jdk160_18\fastdebug\jre\lib\security
Please help..its very urgent...I will be very grateful.

Error while running HRFacadeClient of JDev 11g Tutorial
Hi,
I was following the tutorial under Build a Web Application with JDeveloper 11g Using EJB, JPA, and JavaServer Faces
Section 19 says to run application under OC4J,
<strong>19.</strong> Right click the <strong>HRFacadeBean</strong> in the Application Navigator and select <strong>Run</strong> from the context menu to launch the facade bean in the Embedded OC4J sever.
Curently OC4J not available under JDev 11g Production version, so it runs under Web-logic Server which comes with JDeveloper 11g. Please see the log below:

SanthoshHi Heidi,
I tried once again to install a fresh instance of Oracle soa suite 10.1.3.0 and upgraded it to 10.1.3.4 successfully. I did all the JDeveloper 11g installation and configure SOA process all successfully. I can create a connection to OC4J using 12401 RMI port successfully but none of my applications are deployed to server.
This message is repeatedly displaying in messages tab:
Exception returned by remote server: com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIConnectionException: Disconnected: oracle.oc4j.admin.management.shared.SharedModuleType. local class incompatible during deploy ...
The default OC4J RMI port is 23791 but in my installation it is set to 12401 when I checked the Runtime Port option of Oracle Application Server and the connection is fine with this port but applications can not be deployed with this configuration.
I can deploy applications on separate standalone OC4J instance successfully but not able to do it with my SOA application server.
Any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks again
Esfand

SAP Soamanager WSDL generates n0:string instead of xsd:string in 7.3
I´m using the Soamanager to create a Service for a Enterprise Service
Provider. The web service is generated based on a custom function
module. My intention is to consume a soap webservice via .net
application. Actually this works fine with the legacy BW 7.0 system.
But after we migrate the web service to the new BW 7.3 system, the web service interface is changed.
I have taken a look at the generated WSDL-file from Soamanager, the soamanager
generates the different type for string parameters. The
Import/Export parameter should be of type xsd:string, but it is
actually n0:string. but i need xsd:string for soap.
I´ve tried several datatypes in function module, e.g string,
char,....but always the same...n0:string instead of xsd:string.
Can you help on how to change the sting type in wsdl?
Thanks,How about a slight change to the xsd? Try with the following, it seems to work fine:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<xsd:element name="Orders" type="Orders"/>
<xsd:complexType name="Orders">
<xsd:choice minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded">
<xsd:element name="ligne">
<xsd:complexType>
<xsd:sequence>
<xsd:element name="Field1" type="xsd:string" />
<xsd:element name="Field2" type="xsd:string" />
<xsd:element name="Field3" type="xsd:string" />
<xsd:element name="Field4" type="xsd:string" />
<xsd:element name="Qte" type="xsd:string" />
</xsd:sequence>
</xsd:complexType>
</xsd:element>
</xsd:choice>
</xsd:complexType>
</xsd:schema>

By the way - how did you get the xsd that you are currently using? -
Unable to generate PDF file from reports
Hi,
After running the report when I tried to generate the output to pdf file, I see the number of pages being generated again, I dont see any file being created although it prompts for the file name. Any suggestions
Thanks in AdvanceI dont see any output pdf file being generated, I have seen in all the folders and when I click the Generate to File option, it prompts me for the file name and the path for the file and then the report runs again on the screen instead of generating the file.
Thanks in Advance -
Jdev 11g Production - Unable to edit EO/ VOs from Application Navigator
I created an ADF Model project. In this project I created ADF's 'Business Components from Tables' using the wizard. I went through the wizard and created EO, VO, AM and business diagram. After that, I was able to execute the AM (right-click and Run), but when I tried to open the EO or VO to edit properties (Right-click and Open), I was unable to do so.
I have created a word document with snapshots of the steps followed and the error I got. Please find it here - http://files.oraclecorp.com/content/AllPublic/SharedFolders/EBS%20Integrations%20Shared-Public/Errors_ADF_BC.doc
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.I suspect a usual useful drive-by-answer from dvohra.
user8028667, under JDev 11g you're right, it should be right click > Open (entity name). This should open the Entity Object document window.
Unfortunately the link you've provided appears to be internal to Oracle and can't be viewed by the vast majority of readers on this external Oracle forum. I'm guessing you're an Oracle employee because of the link you supplied. The Oracle JDev PMs normally point Oracle employees to post on internal forums, not external customer forums.

CM.
