JDeveloper 3.1 remove file problem

I'm not able to remove a file form a project with the remove file menu item. I removed it from the opened list as said in the help.
Anyone experienced the same problem?

This is how I remove a file from a project:
- Make sure I have the workspace tab selected
- In the navigator, select the file I want to remove
- Select File->Remove File from the main menu
Note that this does not delete the file itself, just removes it from the project.

  • Problem removing files with CVS (JDeveloper 10.1.3 Preview)

    Hello,
I've got a problem removing files from CVS :
    - I right-click on the file I want to remove -> Versioning -> Remove
    - The file is removed from local directory, and it appears in "Pending changes" view, on "Outgoing" tab. Its status is "scheduled for removal".
    - When I commit the file in the "Pending Changes" view, and click OK, then nothing happens. The file stay with "scheduled for removal" status, and it is not deleted on CVS server.
I tried to commit the package or the project, but it's the same thing.
Files additions and modifications work correctly.
I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.3 Preview version.
Is this a bug ? Or do I do something wrong ? Is there an other way to solve my problem ?
    Thanks.

  • Problem removing files and other issues

Hello, i have been using Solaris 10 now for almost a week. I am starting to see a lot of flaws in it. I hate to go back to Linux when I have wanted Unix for so long. well here are my problems.
Removing files from the DIR /export/home/ gives me this error:
Error "Not on the same file system" while deleting "/export/hom...-1.src.rpm".
    would you like to continue?
    [Skip] [X_Cancel] [Retry]
I seem to get that error everytime I try to delete a downloaded file, also I am logged in as root. (because I created a user account, assigined the user a group and password and I still can't log in with it)
I also configure my panel, and add applications like the cd player, and when i reboot my computer, the applications are question marks wich are also dead links.
I can't set my clock. the timezone seems to be messed up.
When I reboot my computer or shut it down, it takes longer everytime to boot back up. I have timed it. The computer has passed infant mortality, but it is still young, and runs good. So i am assuming all my hardware is fine. since i have installed the os, I have installed firefox. and I have used firefox. that is about it. I am loggin in as root, so i am extremely carefull with what i do, I just seem to have a new problem with each log in. I am starting to feel like Unix is losing it's special value, but i want to try and fix the problems before giving up, after all, it has been less than a week.
If you have any information on anything that i babbled on about thank in advance.

Had the same problem. This post (external) seems to suggest this is Nautilus problem: http://unix.derkeiler.com/Newsgroups/comp.unix.solaris/2005-04/1109.html
Deleting stuff form the shell instead works as a workaround, but then you don't have the benefits of trash can.

  • Problem Removing Files: Input/Output Error

    I recently posted this article
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=4596969#4596969
about my struggles to repair my hard drive. I'm currently in Single-User Mode, in the process of manually removing files that returned the error "Overlapped Extent Allocation" during fsck. Everything's going well for the most part, but a few of the files I'm finding can't be removed. When I try, I receive this message:
hfs: WARNING - blocks on volume Garfunkel not allocated!
    rm: [path name]: Input/output error
It all sounds very dire and life-threatening, but I have no idea what this means. I can only assume it means there is a permissions issue. Am I close? Is there a way I can remove these files? So far all of the files have been iCalendar files or iApps preference files. If it's important, I can list the exact files. I hope someone can help me, because I know very little about Unix.
Thanks to everyone who makes an attempt at rescuing me!

Thanks. I did that, as per the Apple Support article instructions, but apparently I have to do it before every remove command. And sometimes, I have to input the command twice for it to work. Thanks for the tip.

  • How can I remove files from the startup disk

I am getting a screen when I am trying to quit saying   the "MAC OS X startup disk has no more space available for application memory"  by closing the windows and removing files from the startup disk will help.
    How do I do this?

That error message is misleading. Your problem is excessive swapping of data between physical memory and virtual memory.
That can happen for two reasons:
You have a long-running process with a memory leak (i.e., a bug), or
You don't have enough memory installed for your usage pattern.
Tracking down a memory leak can be difficult, and it may come down to a process of elimination.
In the Activity Monitor application, select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected. Click the heading of the  Real Mem column in the process table twice to sort the table with the highest value at the top. If you don't see that column, select
View ▹ Columns ▹ Real Memory
    from the menu bar.
If one process (excluding "kernel_task") is using much more memory than all the others, that could be an indication of a leak. A better indication would be a process that continually grabs more and more real memory over time without ever releasing it. Here is an example of how it's done.
The process named "Safari Web Content" renders web pages for Safari and other applications. It uses a lot of memory and may leak if certain Safari extensions or third-party web plugins are installed. Consider it a prime suspect.
If you don't have an obvious memory leak, your options are to install more memory (if possible) or to run fewer programs simultaneously.
The next suggestion is only for users familiar with the shell. For a more precise, but potentially misleading, test, run the following command:
sudo leaks -nocontext -nostacks process | grep total
where process is the name of a process you suspect of leaking memory. Almost every process will leak some memory; the question is how much, and especially how much the leak increases with time. I can’t be more specific. See the leaks(1) man page and the Apple developer documentation for details.

  • How do I remove files from my HD if MacBook Pro is not starting up?

My MacBook Pro has a solid state aftermarket hard drive that is completely full and is now causing start up problems. When I turn my laptop on the login screen comes up and I can enter my password and login as usual. However after login just a grey screen appears and it stays that way forever until I shut the computer down by holding power button. if I physically remove my hard drive is there any way I can hook it up to a different computer and remove files to free up enough space to allow my Mac to successfully start up and login? Ive already tried safe boot and NVRAM/PRAM reboots but neither of those worked. Let me know if my idea is possible/how or any other methods that would help me out.
    Thanks,
    Isaac

If you have another Mac, use Target Disk Mode. Connect your Mac to the other Mac using a Thunderbolt or FireWire cable, and hold down the T key while booting up on the problematic Mac. If you go into Finder on the other Mac, the first one's hard drive should show up as a disk.

  • Anyone know if the long standing duplicate files problem with File History has been fixed yet?

There are loads of public threads about the duplicate files problem
with Windows 8/8.1 File History backup system.
From all the threads I've looked at, there seems to be no solution,
and no acknowledgement from MS that they can even repro the problem
(which surprises me considerably as there are so many people who
    notice the problem).
Is anyone aware of whether MS (may) have fixed this for Win10?
Are MS aware of the problem and if they're able to fix it?
Dave - with many GB of duplicated files in File History :)

Hmm, is that the attitude MS would recommend? :)
Why would I care what Microsoft would recommend?
Clearly you don't, and you appear to have missed my smiley. Calm down
Noel, many of us are as annoyed by aspects of modern Windows as you
    are. :)
I'm all about making Windows actually WORK/./
Aren't we all? Windows is software I use too many hours every day, I
along with many millions of others need it to work really well. You
    are not alone.
When they implement something that doesn't work, and even if it did work doesn't do what's needed - and/beyond that/ they remove features people DO need (such as the GUI for Windows Backup), I see no wrong in advising people of the way things
    really are.
File History essentially does work - it's saved me a couple of times
in the past couple of weeks. It just has a highly annoying habit of
creating 100% duplicates of some files for no apparent reason. If MS
have fixed that I won't have any known complaints about it.
If you don't like it, you don't have to use it. I generally like it, I
just want to see that its fixed.

  • Could not remove files FlashUtil9c.exe and Flash9c.ocx

    Hello everybody!
I have a problem. I found that NTFS permissions don't allow
    me to remove files
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil9c.exe and
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\Macromed\Flash\Flash9c.ocx while I still having
administrator status under my WinXP SP2 Prof. Of course, I was
frighten and though that it is a virus. I removed these files
manually and found, that my Flash Player doesn't work. I downloaded
it again and installed. Now I see that these files are again at
their place and have the same permissions. Is it a virus or just a
bug? Or is it so necessary for Flash Player to keep these files
    locked?
Please, don't answer so that is a special uninstall util for
    FP - I know that. Isn't it a virus, that's a question.

Check this out... Follow the instructions as I did from
Darren McNally - Adobe ... No more nagging Flash9c.ocx ... It
    works...

    HI Preran,
Thanks for your reply, I have read the thread but I am confused!
Is the anti virus situation effecting this prelude problem also???
Prelude wont run because it is missing a file mc_enc_dv.dll
If i reinstall to gfet this back, norton will only dump it again.
Why is this happening on the latest adobe software update?
I havent changed anything on my PC, installed softaere or codecs or anything, all I did was
    allow adobe to update
I also have the probelm with Premiere loading taking 3 mins or so - is this related to the same issue?

  • Removing compiler problem markers

Does anybody know why I keep getting a pop up window that is
telling me it can't find a marker id at some location number? I am
getting one of these messages about every other time I save and
compile and it is getting RATHER ANNOYING!!! What does it mean and
    how do I eliminate it???
Thanks in advance for helping me lower my blood pressure!!!
    Have an Ordinary Day...
    KomputerMan ~|:-)

Yes, I am now getting the same error - but slightly different
    wording
Removing compile problem markers (Time of error: blah blah
    blah...)
    The details section states:
An internal error occurred during "Removing compiler problem
    markers".
    java.lang.NullPointerException
I'm able to compile the same code with no problem from the
command line on a Linux box. Running the clean comand doesn't fix
    this unfortunately.
Some background info: I'm running a FDS project against a
JBoss server on a windows XP machine.
So, I deleted my project and shut down flex builder. Then
removed the project files (.actionScriptProperties, .project, &
.flexProperties) and removed the project folder from the flex.war
folder in the jboss server. Restarted Flex Builder and created a
new project the same way the project was built. And wa-la the
    problem is gone.
So, something has gone bad with the project, but I am not
sure what because a look a the previous project files and they all
seem normal. I was having problems with the project trying to
create the "Output Directory" early, but a rebuild of the project
    seemed to fix that too.
    hope this helps.

  • JDeveloper 10.1.3 encoding problem

    Hi,
I'm from Brazil and while testing the new JDeveloper 10.1.3, this problem occurred when i started migration from JDeveloper 10.1.2.
All my JSPs suddenly became strange, with weird characters, where supposed to be special characters, (like accents). I'm using encoding default on JDev(10.1.2), which was CP1252, in the version 10.1.3 the java classes are ok, but the jsp not. I already tried modifying the encoding options of the JDev but none work. The only solution i found is to open all the JSPs and replace those characters, this way JDev recognize them, which i insist are ok in other tools. Only in 10.1.3 i found these problems. In the help i found something related to the encoding of the files, which must be preserved, but it was pointless since i couldn't find any options for doing such thing
    thanks in advance

Just one more statement to the thread since I am having similar trouble with greek encoding on Linux.
First of all I think that it makes no difference how much you tamper with the environment --> encoding setting in JDev. In my case all parameters had the same value but the JSP text appeared mangled.
As far as I have tested I found out that the only safe way to migrate JSP's from pervious versions of JDeveloper is
    a) Use a different editor (Kate from Linux KDE is just perfect) to verify that the encoding of the file is correct. In my case that would be Greek iso8859-7)
    b) Modify the JSP so that the first line looks like <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=iso8859-7" %>
    c) Save the file making sure that it gets the right encoding.
After that the file may be opened and modified correctly in the JDeveloper editor. I have found that was to only way to make DataEditComponent.jsp pages created with JDev 9i for BC4J projects run on 10.1.3
The funny thing is that if you look at the property inspector, it still says that loadEncoding and saveEncoding have a value of UTF-8, which is probably false but ....

  • HT201177 How Do I Remove Files From My Start-Up Disk?

Can someone tell me how to remove files from my start up disk?

Your startup volume is full. First, reboot. That will temporarily free up some space. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB free for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of your data.
Use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space.
Proceed further only if the problem hasn't been solved.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To really see everything, you have to run it as root.
First, back up all data if you haven't already done so. No matter what happens, you should be able to restore your system to the state it was in at the time of that backup.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
After installing ODS in the Applications folder, drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
    sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. When you're done with it, quit it and also quit Terminal.
