  • JDeveloper 10g with OA Extension

I am currently working on Jdeveloper version 9.0.4.x and oracle release is 11. Can I use JDeveloper 10g with OA Extension on oracle release 11. ..
I saw on oracle site .it's mentioned that JDeveloper 10g with OA Extension is only applicable for oracle Release 12 ..
Can you please help me on my query ?
    Thanks
    Anand

    Anand,
Jdev 10g with OA is only for R12 releases. You can't use them for 11i related works. The basic reason is that each jdev with OA ext patch is according to a particular framework patch and hence their framework libraries have to be in sync.
Check the metalink Note 416708.1 - How to find the correct version of JDeveloper to use with eBusiness Suite 11i or Release 12. This will give you the exact jdev patch to use according to your instance patching level.

  • JDeveloper with BPM Extensions in Mac OS X 10.8

Has anyone been able to get JDeveloper BPM Studio (BPM Extensions) to work in Mac OS X 10.8???
I can't get it to create a new Application/project or open an existing (which was created in windows) application/project that has/uses BPM extensions (under Mac OS X 10.8).
JDeveloper seems to work fine w/o SOA and BPM extensions, but once I install the SOA & BPM Extensions (Using JDK 1.6 or even JDK 1.7 [Jdev will not install using JDK 1.7 on OS X 10.8, but will run with JDK 1.7]).
Opening a BPM New or existing application immediately causes the dreaded "Sever Error" dialog to popup and the sys out.log shows all kind of errors/exceptions mostly from the GUI related framework!
I just want to know if ANYONE is successfully using JDev with BPM extensions in OS X 10.8?
    Thanks
    Reza

I already done this way and still no due
here's a list of things i've already done:
    - Reset the PRAM
    - Uninstalled some programs i didn't use, like the older versions of iLife, iWork and MS Office for Mac
    - Repaired permissions
    - Uninstalled most third-party content i didnt use, like the black barry files.
I also did a full backup and a full reinstall of the OS and software I used most such as the latest version of Adobe's CS6, and Sun Office suite and the MS Office for Mac, and the Final Cut Pro X suite and Final Cut Pro 7 suite.

  • Patch 7315332 - 10G Jdeveloper with OA Extension ARU for R12.1

    Hi,
I would have a look at the JDeveloper with OA Extension ARU for R12.1 (cause we will upgrade to R12.1), just to see the features and try to open "old" projects created with the patch 6739235 (11i).
Do you know where I can download a trial version?
    Thanks a lot,
    Rosanna.

    Rosanna,
Should be the same place you get the other patches - "My Oracle Support" - the site formerly known as Metalink.
You would have more luck getting appropriate answers on the OA Framework Forum as well.

  • JDeveloper with SOA Extension

    Hi
I am not sure if this is the appropiate forum for this question or not but its the only forum related to JDeveloper.
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0 with the soa extension pack installed. When I access the Expression Builder from an assign activity, it takes at least a minute
for the expression part of the windows to return and become editable. This is true regardless of whether it is a new expression I am creating or editing an
    existing expression.
JDeveloper is installed on windows 7 64-bit edition and is configured to use 64-bit Java. Below are the options that are turned on from ide.conf
    AddVMOption -Xmx4000M
    AddVMOption -Xms1024M
    AddVMOption -Xverify:none
and below are the options for jdev.conf

I am using JDeveloper 9.0.3 and jheadstart 9.0.4.5 and I would like to test jdeveloper 10g preview with JHeadstart.

So I try to test one of my old application with this configuration. After Jdeveloper migrated my workspace and projects and business componenet
to the newer version, I run the application generator. It worked fine without any problem but after running the application, I got an error page showing
that my bc4j.xcfg is not in the path.
On the other hand, I found out that when I wanted to view my UIX pages, 2 dialog boxes appeared. The first one asked to upgrade
to UIX 2.2's new expression language syntax and the other which is on the top of the first one, showing that UIX runtime failed to render the page
    with following detail :

I think that I should have set some setting before use JHeadstart with JDeveloper.
    Could anybody help me ?

    Alex,
The document Sandra referred to applies to JDeveloper 10g preview (9.0.5.0). JHeadstart 9.0.4.5 will NOT work with JDeveloper 109 production (9.0.5.1).
We plan to release a new version end of april that is compatible with 9.0.5.1. See this thread for more info: JDeveloper 10g production, status JHeadstart?

  • File with pls extension opens with data modeler instead of sql developer

    Hello,
I have both SQL Developer and Data Modeler installed as separate installations. If I  click in  the Windows File navigator on a file with the extension pls, the SQL Developer should open since the pls extension has been connected to SQL Developer.
If I have neither SQLD nor DM open, SQLD opens -> ok
If I have only SQLD open, the file is opened in SQLD -> ok
If I have only DM open, the file is opened in DM -> not ok
If I have both SQLD and DM open, the last started application opens the file -> sometimes ok
Is it possible to manage the opening of a pls to open always in SQL Developer?
    Joop

This is quite an old problem which I have seen with JDeveloper and SQLDeveloper so it may be framework related. I don't currently have both installed to check it out, but as it has been around a long time I doubt it has gone away.
SQL files would open in either JDeveloper or SQL Developer following the pattern Joop described. Java files would only ever open in JDeveloper.    IIRC there was never a SQL file association for JDeveloper and SQLDeveloper was always the default.

  • JDeveloper performance with XSL Mapper

    Hi All,
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question since it has to do JDeveloper performance with SOA and not ADF.
In the XSL Transformation mapper tool, whenever I do an auto-map between two large schemas, my JDeveloper memory usage hikes up to about 1.3 GB and then both the JRE and JDeveloper hangs although the transformation finishes. The problem is that sometimes it hangs before you can save it. It almost seems like a memory leak.
NOTE: I am not getting any out-of-memory error since I increased already increased the memory.
Any help to optimize and solve this problem will be very helpful.
    Thanks!

    chk this
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11036_01/doc.1013/e10295/xslt_mpr.htm
you should have SOA composite application extension for this..
if you dont want a visual transformation then you can use the jdeveloper project properties -> Run/Debug -> edit run configuration -> XSLT

  • What is a file with the extension .injb?

When packaging an InCopy file, a new file appears in the same folder as the .inca file with the extension .injb. What is this? Is it a lock file for the .inca?

As far as I know .schema files are created when you import/create offline database objects. For example when you use a database adapter in an ESB flow or when creating TopLink mappings. The .schema files store some metadata on the database schema from which the database objects are imported into the JDeveloper projects.

  • Probelm running HelloWorld in Jdev With OA Extension

    Hi,
I'am using 11.5.9 (with minipak fwk.H)I just installed Jdeveloper with OA Extension. I'am trying to run the sample Hello World program to make sure things are fine. I did everything as mentioned in the Developer guide (OA Extension) the program compiles fine but it shows an error when running. any help?
    The Error is:
    Bad Gateway
    The following error occurred:
[code=DNS_HOST_NOT_FOUND] The host name was not found during the DNS lookup. Contact your system administrator if the problem is not found by retrying the URL.

I think the problem is the DBC file
    original DBC from server
    APPS_JDBC_URL=jdbc\:oracle\:thin\:@(DESCRIPTION\=(LOAD_BALANCE\=YES)(FAILOVER\=YES)...
some of you might change it to
    APPS_JDBC_URL=jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION=(LOAD_BALANCE=YES)(FAILOVER=YES)...
DO NOT change the original one.
    Good luck then.

  • Extensive (very very very extensive) memory usage of host application with CS extension

    Hi!
I tried this only under Photoshop CS5 and InDesign CS5 under Windows 7.
When you open and close CS extension panel, the memory taken by Photoshop (InDesign) increases by 6-30MB!
In case of the simple HelloPhotoshop (HelloInDesign) panel from the examples, compiled in release mode, when you open it and close, - it's about 6-10MB each time you do it. And in case of a more complex panel, which uses AIR, etc. it's about 30MB per one panel close/open.
When I use some panels in 5-10 minutes Photoshop (InDesign) increases its memory pool from 600MB up to 1,2 GB. And more. And this memory is never freed, only until Photoshop (InDesign) shutdown.
I tried freeing all my arrays, killing display objects, etc. - nothing helped. Even a simple HelloPhotoshop (HelloInDesign) that does nothing eats memory.
By the way, InDesign eats memory a lot faster .

James, thank you for the very fast answer! I did various tests on the weekend on my computer and computer of my friend.
And I can say, that Debug flag doesn't affect memory consumption.   They still eat memory. My steps to reproduce are as follows:
    (Windows 7 32 bit)
    Photoshop CS5:
    1) set HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXS2Preferences\PlayerDebugMode to 0
2*) check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\CSXS2Preferences (just in case)
    3) Compile HelloPhotoshop example to ZXP and install via  Extension manager
    4) restart computer
    5) Run Photoshop CS5 - Memory consumption: 100 096 KB
    6) Open HelloPhotoshop and close it 10 times
    7) Memory consumption: 155 840 - 5,574 MB per one close/open
Maybe a garbage collector is expected to run and free this memory, but it never happened in my case. The memory pool was increasing to 1 GB when I was working with one of my panels - with no documents open in Photoshop
In InDesign I tried the same thing with HelloInDesign ( I had to close the panel completely and then open with Window | Extensions | HelloInDesign)
Memory consumption on start: 118 516
    Memory consumption after 10 open/close cycles: 197 516
    It's 7,9 MB per one close/open
It's the simpliest panel test. When I'm using AIR libraries the memory usage is increasing a lot faster.
