JDeveloper settings - change the default code editor view for JSPx  files

Hi, when you open a .JSPX or JSP page the editor opens in 'design' mode. Is there a way to change this default behavior and open in 'source' mode? I write the JSF/JSP pages editing code and every time I open a new page I have to wait till the IDE opens in view mode and then manually switch to source mode by hand.
Thanks
Jordi

A year and a half after this post, and I still have this same issue as well. Even 10.1.3.3 has it.
Thanks for posting the solution as this will now save me lots of time waiting and often re-starting JDeveloper.

  • How do you change the default Save As location for PDF files?

    I have not been able to find a straight answer anywhere.  I am scanning documents to my email then I need to save them.  Instead of saving them to the last folder I saved a file in, (which would be logical) it saves them in a temporary files folder EVERY time.  I have seen answers about how to change the folder when saving documents from a web browser but that is not what I am doing.  Someone please help!  I have thousands of files to save and this is incredibly frustrating. Agh!!!

    Is it your scanning software that does that, or Adobe Reader?
    Anyway, I don't know how to change the default change destination for either of it.
    I have had a similar problem with an entirely different software, so what I did is create a shortcut to the destination folder in my Temp folder, so a simple double-click when saving gets met quickly to that target folder.

  • How do I change the default "open with" application for certain files??  I've tried EVERYTHING!!

    Hi guys!
    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE someone help me!!!  I have been trying for ages to change this!!  It is SO frustrating!!  I recently bought a new MacBook Pro 13" after my old one (2009) got stolen.  Went from Snow Leopard to 10.8.2, restored all my apps and files etc (thanks goodness I backed up).
    NOW I have a problem!  All my .xls and .doc files open up with Pages and Numbers, and not OpenOffice.  NO MATTER WHAT I DO!!!
    The basic "change open with" "always use this application" story doesn't work.  It always reverts back to Pages or Numbers.  I also tried a Terminal Command I found on this forum from way back in 2010.  But that doesn't work either.  I also tried a .pst deletion but I don't have a .com.apple.launches.pst file!
    PLEASE GUYS.  PLEASE!  SOMEONE HELP ME HERE!!!!!!!!!!  It's driving me nuts!!!!!  LIKE NUTS!!!!!!!

    Here is what I would do:
    Update OpenOffice to the latest Mac OS X version for improved compatibiity with Mountain Lion.
    Boot into Safe Mode to clear caches, verify/repair permissions, and rebuild font database, etc.
    Reboot, holding down the shift key until you see a progress bar on the grey boot screen.
    At the login prompt, and before you click the right arrow button to login, press and hold shift again.
    Reboot normally.
    Now follow sig's advice, and specify OpenOffice as the can opener for Word and Excel files.
    If OpenOffice installs into a /Applications folder as individual writer, and sheet applications, then use these names respectively for Word and Excel files.
    LibreOffice (what I use) only offers the LibreOffice application choice.

    procedure before changing the default exchange rate?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hope it helps you.

    How do I change the default image editor from Preview to Graphic Converter?

    I'm assuming you want the default programme to change from Preview to Graphic Converter so that clicking on the file would open Graphic Converter instead of Preview.
    Control click on the file type that you want to open using Graphic Converter. Press Command+I for Get Info. Click on the triangle next to Open With. Select Graphic Converter and Press Change All...

  • How to change the default code page in SAP?

    My colleague tries to download a report in Excel but she is having some problems with the output as each of the lines are all included in one cell. When I download the same report, my output is fine and the columns in the lines are properly aligned in various columns in Excel.
    I noticed that her code page is 4110 and mine is 1160.
    4110     Unicode UTF-8
    1160     Microsoft 1252, Superset of ISO 8859-1
    As a workaround, I just asked her to modify the code page to 1160 everytime she downloads a report. I want to know how this setting is derived.
    My questions are:
    1) Is there a way to set the default code page?
    2) Is this a problem with the SAP version? If she downloads another SAP GUI, will the issue be gone?
    Thanks!
    Joey

    1, You can change the codepage in SAPGUI: Select the system => Properties => Others
    2, Could be, best is to have the same and most up to date SAPGUI for all

  • How do I change the default "Save As" location for pdf docs?

    I save a lot of scanned in pdf documents.  However, when I open up a new .pdf file and wish to "save as" to a specific location in "my documents" the default location always directs the newly saved documents into th "temporary files" location.  I would like to change the default location to "My Documents" instead so I do not have to redirect every newly scanned document to "My Documents" form the temporary file area of my computer.  Please inform.

    I got the same problem, I cannot even see where the files are saved after I press "Save" button and cannot change the name of the file that I am saving.

  • Changing the default logical system names for adaptive RFC models

    Hello,
    When I create an Adaptive RFC model the dialog that asks me to specify the model name, package, source folder, etc. has default values in the "Default logical system name for model instances" and "... RFC metadata".
    I know I can type in another name there but I'd like to change the default name to something that fits our naming conventions. Can I change that? If so, can someone tell me where?
    Thanks in advance!
    David.

    Suresh,
    Thank you for your response. However, that is not what I was looking for. Sorry if my post was not clear.
    I knew that I could change it AFTER the import. I also know that I can type in something else besides the default DURING the import.
    What I am asking is if there is a way to change some configuration setting so that the 'default' that comes up in the drop down DURING the import is something different than what comes 'out-of-the-box' with NWDS.
    Hope that clears up what I'm looking for.
    David.

  • Cannot change the default program to open a specific file type.

    Whenever I attempt to change the default program to open a file, it automatically reverts to whatever was selected previously.
    I work with a lot of .ai files and my default Illustrator version is set to Creative Cloud. CC crashes constatnly on my machine, however CS6 runs smooth as silk. I'd like to be able to double click an .ai file and have it open in CS6, not CC. When I right click > Get Info > Open with and change it, it reverts as soon as I click "Change all..."
    This isn't a huge deal... only takes a few seconds out of my day but it isn't something I should have to worry about.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

    I just successfully changed on my .docx to open into Pages. I went the same route that you mentioned... Right click---> Get Info---> Open With and changed it to Pages. When I clicked Change All, a dialog came up asking me if I am sure that I want to change all of my .docx to open in Pages. I click accept and tested it. Now my .docx open in Pages.
    So my question is, is your issue just applying to .ai files? Or is affecting other files, such as .docx? If it's just affecting .ai files, then there maybe an underlying reason for that. And it may not be able to be changed.
    Just a thought.

  • How can I change the default start-up date for a new functional location?

    Is there a way to change the default date when creating a functional location? Whenever we create a new functional location, there is a date populated in the start-up date field. This date is our go-live date from last year and I cannot find the location in the IMG (if there is one) to stop the date from automatically populating with the date from the superior functional location. I tried setting the field from input to required but the date still populates automatically. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to leave the start-up date field blank when creating a new functional location?

    That field is generally picked up from the immediate superior FL in the hierarchy through the inheritance functionality.You will have to overwrite this date.I dont think you can clear this field through Configuration functionality.
    If you are in Ecc 6.0, you could get the help of developer to use implicit enhancement to initialize the field contents.

  • Can you change the default code that targets a new window to change the content in a div tag instead

    I created a database for store locations.  I was able to display the list of stores.  Here though I don't want the list to show the number in front of it...  I still need to find the CSS to edit my results for this one.  However, more importantly, I don't want to open my results in a new window, I want to be able to target a DIV tag instead.
    This is the code that is created to display the list of stores.
    {module_webapps,5665,a,,,_blank,,50,,1}
    Currently it opens a blank window.  I'd like to target a div tag on the right of the list area where the store info can appear.
    Perhaps the gurus at adobe can upgrade this feature?  Target DIVs instead of new or blank windows, or using frames. Below is the screen of the links created from the DB.
    Below is the blank window that it opens.
    Would like to make it open in a div to the right of the list.  Not sure how to change to core code that was created to make that change.

    I'm doing something wrong.  I have the list showing the stores in CA
    <div class="flip" id="woodcontainer" style="width: 160px; height: 23px;">
    <h1>CALIFORNIA</h1>
    </div>
    <div class="panel">
    <script>
      $("#infochange").load("{module_webapps,5665,c,41140}"); /* this creates the list of stores in CA where #infochange is the DIV I am targeting.
    </script>
    </div>
    <br />
    The code for the DIV where I want the details to load.
    <div id="infochange"></div>
    This doesn't make sense because I need to have something in the DIV as a holder of some sort?

  • How Can I change the default system editor to use it on Eclipse?

    Hi, I want to know something. In Eclipse, when I do the following with a file: Open With -> System Editor, GVIM is opened, and I would want to change this behaviour to another editor.
    How Can I perform this?
    Greetings

    Davigetto wrote:
    It doesn't work to eclipse... I don't know why, always gvim is opened... If I uninstall gvim, eclipse give me an error telling to me that was impossible to open the system editor.
    The variables mentioned above initially were empty (without content).
    Any more ideas?
    Greetings
    I'm pretty sure those ENV variables are only used for terminal / console operations, not GUI functionality. I think the confusing issue here, perhaps, was that Eclipse calls the option 'system editor.'
    What it is referring to, instead, is the application set in your file manager for opening a particular file type. For me, it opens Scite, as I have Scite set in Nautilus to open most 'text' types. However, I can change the behavior to open Komodo Edit for *.py files by simply right clicking on any *.py file, selecting 'Properties' and setting the appropriate editor in the 'Open with' tab. Now *.py files open in Komodo in any circumstance, including selecting 'Open wirh > system editor' in Eclipse.
    The procedure will be slightly different depending on your DE / file manager.

  • Changing the default location PowerPoint uses for templates

    I do not want to use the default location MS Office initially configures for templates that is buried in some obscure folder on a local machine in that only Office know about.  Instead want to keep my templates in the same location on a company server
    with the rest of my materials so I can access it from my company laptop or from the Virtual machines I am forced to use in other company locations. This way I will have my templates everywhere I work.  When I make changes they are available to me everywhere
    I work and are not buried in a folder on a laptop or a virtual machine in a conference room half a world away.
    MS Word allows users to configure this default location for templates but no where in PowerPoint can I find any way to configure this location. Previously on my laptop I have been able to configure the default PowerPoint template location, I believe, by
    setting the location in MS Word; however, this is not happening for me now on the virtual machines I am using when away.  I have scoured the Options settings and if it is there it is well hidden.
    To make matters worse I am trying to use what PPT is providing to me while I sort this out and when you try to open "My Templates": there is a message that says:
    "To add a template to My templates, click the File tab, click Save As, click Trusted Templates, and then save the file as a template."
    Of course when I follow these instructions there is no folder named Trusted Templates on the left side of the dialog box.  I am not sure why it is so difficult to allow us to configure this ourselves for each program but apparently it is.

    Hi,
    Please refer to this kb below:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924460/en-us
    As mentioned, if you use Word 2007 or Word 2010 to change the location in which your new templates are saved, you also change the location in which all 2007 Office program templates or all 2010 Office program templates are saved.
    Office programs use one registry key to record the user templates file location, you can browse to the following path to check if it's recorded:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common\General
    The user templates location is stored in the
    UserTemplates
    string value.
    If it doesn't exist, try to manually add it, check if this helps. Detailed information can also be found in the kb introduced above.
    Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps
    carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756/en-us

  • Change the default of Free/Busy for an event in Outlook 2010

    Is it possible (as it was in old version) to set the Show As default for events?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    The ‘Free/Busy’ information is used by the people who send Meeting requests, to determine whether a person is free or busy so that, they can know their availability status for Meetings. Below is a tutorial that will show you how to change the
    Permissions for viewing a particular person’s Free/Busy information.
    To change the Permissions for your Free/Busy Information, do the following
    1) Click on the ‘File’ tab and then on the ‘Options’ tab.
    2) In ‘Outlook Options’ window, click on the ‘Calendar’ tab.
    3) Now inside the Calendar tab, under the ‘Calendar Options’ category, click on the ‘Free/Busy Options’ tab.
    4) Now in the ‘Free/Busy Options’ window thus opened, you can choose to publish a certain number of Month’s calendars that contains your Free/Busy information and also change the time interval for updating your Free/Busy information.
    5) You can also have your ‘Free/Busy’ information published on a particular Web location. To achieve this, select the checkbox that says ‘Publish at My location’ and in the space provided below, enter the specific location and click
    on ‘OK’.
    So, this is how you can change Permissions for viewing the Free/Busy information.
    Sincerely
