JDK 1.4.1 for MacOS 9/X

Hello,
Excuse me for this (maybe) stupid question, but I wanted to download the last jdk 1.4.1 for Mac OS and it is not in the list of download.
All other systems are listed (Windows, Linux, Solaris,...) but not Mac OS..?
Is there a reason ? where and how can I find the jdk ?
Thanks in advance..
Julio.

Apple is developing and beta testing it, 1.4.1, now. Hopefully, they will release it very soon, probably early next year. Check http://developer.apple.com/java for news updates.

Thanks for getting me to the troublemaker ArielK.
I can confirm disabling APSDaemon.exe, aka, new Apple Push for WiFi Sync and renaming (or deleting if you are more risk oriented) APSDaemon.exe and APSDaemon_main.dll in this folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support" resolved my issue.
Alternatively, another slightly more annoying but less techy workaround for those nervous about changing filenames is to start iTunes in Safe Mode every time.  You must do it via Programs > iTunes > hold down Ctrl-Shift then click iTunes (does not work if you do it by clicking a short cut in programs list or taskbar, whatever...).  Maybe this disables WiFi Sync by default, dunno.  Don't care at this point, but it seemed to work.
I can live without WiFi Sync for now, but its a nice feature I would really like to use in the future.
    Apple please fix!!!

  • JDK 1.4.2 for Intel Xeon 64 bit

    Gurus,
I am installing ECC 6.0 on Windows.
I am unable to download the JDK 1.4.2* for Intel xeon processors on 64 bit running Windows Server x64 standard edition.
Been to the site  http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/SAPsite/download.html, to download JDK, but unable to logon because of some authentication issues.  Is there a different location or JDK version that can be used for installation.
    Regards
    Abdul

    Hi,
I have the same problem, I must install J2SE on a brand new server with Intel XEON L5520 CPUs.
It's NOT possible to install the current J2SE version from  http://www.sun.com/software/javaforbusiness/sap_download.jsp,
    because it's for AMDx64.
But under  http://java.sun.com/products/archive  you can find an older version "j2sdk-1_4_2_19-windows-i586-p",
it is possible to install this version ( you must register to download ).
I find no other way at the moment.
    With regards,
    Michael

"Could not start NetSupport Manager Client For MacOS X because the license file has expired."
I have a suspicion the above is a result of an old version of a program from a previous version of MACOS having been migrated, even from a PPC machine (PB17 to be exact).
My issue is how to fix it. What is the exact programme in error? What do i delete?
I have even upgraded to Leopard and the problem migrates to that(!) So clearly I have to manually sort this out. But how?
    Many thanks

NetSupport Manager's web site would appear to be here (found via a quick web search):
    http://www.netsupportmanager.com/
They should be able to tell you how to install their product, if the download doesn't contain an uninstaller (I'm not going to register with them just to find out).

  • Which JDK version is required for NWDS v 7.01.07

    Hi,
Can someone point me in the right direction to find out whcih JDK version is required for NWDS v 7.01.07.
I currently have j2sdk1.4.2_19 installed but I am getting a build error when creating a new project from ESS of:
No 'default' JDK defined, will use running VM.
The TARGET variable for the shortcut and JAVA_HOME env variables are set.
The JRE_SRCROOT variable in NWDS is empty.
    Regards,
    Rob

In NWDS set default JDK version.
Windows - preferences - java Installed JREs
Select chk box for JRE you want.
    Hope this helps.

  • Will Oracle BPEL PM available for MacOS

    Hi,
    SOA Suite is supported on
    Microsoft Windows
    Linux
    Solaris SPARC
    HP      PA-Risc
    IBM AIX5L
    take a look at:

I think there are no plans for MacOS.

  • Is there support for the Statechart Module 1.0.1 for MacOS X?

I need to use the Statechart Toolkit but I can't seem to find if there is support for it on the MacOS platform. Can someone tell me a definitive yes or no on this???
Just as a sidebar: it's very disconcerting to see the lack of support for MacOS. Yes, I know Windoze is ubiquitous, but there are some of us who use a Mac in our daily work and this "half-support" is getting to be problematic. Either FULLY support the platform or don't! Sorry...rant over.
    Thanks for your assistance!
    Michael

The predecessor to the Statechart Module was the State Diagram Toolkit. Its not as powerful as the Statechart Module, but it appears that it is(or was) available for the Mac and PC. You might contact your sales rep and ask if the State Diagram Toolkit is available for Mac users...

  • No PKCS#11 support in JDK 6 Update 14 for Windows x64?

    Hi there,
I successfully installed GlassFish 2.1 on Windows 2008 x64 with JDK 6 Update 13 for x64. Everything was ok until I wanted to access my USB token with a certificate on it trough an EJB.
I then had to reinstall everything based on 32-bit versions. Now it works again, but I'm not very satisfied with the solution because I wanted to have everything based 64-bit.
Why JDK 6 Update 14 for Windows x64 does not contain PKCS#11 support? When you have look to the x86 version support is available there.

If you load successfully your pkcs11 lib into java 32bit mean that the lib is 32bit.
    You cannot load a 32bit native lib into java 64bit ( http://java.sun.com/docs/hotspot/HotSpotFAQ.html#64bit_native_porting ).
If you find the 64bit lib for your token, you should be able to use java64.

  • Sun.misc.BASE64Encoder and JDK 1.4.1 for Unix

I apologize for asking what seems like such a basic question in this forum, but my search for help with this issue has been unsuccessful so far.
I developed a Java application under JDK 1.3.0 for Windows 9x/NT4 which uses sun.misc.BASE64Encoder in HTTP basic authentication transactions. It works as expected under JRE 1.3.0 for Win9x/NT. Now I'm running JDK 1.4.1 on Mandrake Linux 9.0. This same application throws "error:Cannot find type "sun/misc/BASE64Encoder".
Do I need a JAR file that was not packaged with JDK 1.4.1 for Linux? Any ideas on how to get this working?
    Thank you,
    J. Davis

    It's working now.
    Thank you for reading.

  • New IBM JDK 1.4.2 for SAP NetWeaver 2004 and 2004s

In May 2006 IBM System p brand and SAP announced the direction to enhance the IBM AIX 5L JDK 1.4.2 for SAP NetWeaver 2004 and SAP NetWeaver 2004s based applications. The new IBM JDK 1.4.2 for SAP NetWeaver applications on AIX 5L is 100% upward compatible for all SAP business applications and, compared to the classical AIX JDK, provides a more consistent runtime behavior, enhances memory management, and improves debugging capabilities.
<b>General Availability (GA) of the new IBM JDK 1.4.2 for SAP NetWeaver 2004 and 2004s on AIX 5L</b>
As part of a staged release process aligned between IBM and SAP a customer pilot program was started in August 2006 followed by a Controlled Availability (CA) program. Based on positive customer feedback resulting from real production usage and the very encouraging internal test results, the new IBM JDK on AIX 5L is/will be generally available
    •     for SAP NetWeaver 2004 SP14 and above starting at 5th of February 2007
                    and
    •     for SAP NetWeaver 2004s SP06 and above starting at 30th of March 2007.
This means systems running above SAP NetWeaver releases in an AIX 5L environment are allowed to use the new IBM JDK without restrictions.
This announcement does not affect the use and support of the classical AIX JDK outside SAP environments.
<b>Transition Plan to the new IBM JDK 1.4.2 on AIX 5L</b>
SAP will support the classical and the new JDK in parallel for a limited number of NetWeaver support packages. Afterwards only the new IBM JDK will be supported:
    •     for SAP NetWeaver 2004 the first support package only supporting the new JDK will be SP21 (planned date for SP21 see http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700001130682005E),
    •     for SAP NetWeaver 2004s it will be SP14 (planned date for SP14 see http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700004584092005E).
So please plan a transition to the new JDK prior to the upgrade to these support packages.
SAP and IBM strongly believe that the switch to the new JDK will improve your experience with JAVA based SAP applications on AIX 5L. Both companies recommend upgrading to the new IBM JDK 1.4.2 for SAP applications running on AIX 5L as soon as it matches your company’s maintenance plans.

You can download the JDK directly from the sun java website...
    http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/1.4.2_12/index.html
I don't think Ubuntu is supported...

  • Does it exist a JDK 1.4.2 for Linux X86 64bit (not Itanium!!)

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm installing a NW7.0 on a Linux (x86_64).
As you know a JDK 1.4.2 needs to be in place before running sapinst.
However on SUN website there is no JDK for that type of machine. The itanium version doe snot work and if I installed a X86 (32bit) version I'm having problems with sapinst and requests a 64 version.
What I did is to download the JDK 1.5.0 for Linux x86_64 but I'm afraid that I may have later problems as the documentation just talks about 1.4.2.
How is it possible that the installation guide requests something that does not exist? Most probably I'm missing something.
Any help appreciated and points awarded.
    Regards,
    Alberto Sabate

    Frank,
Thanks for your response. I have install it now and I'll try it tomorrow starting a new sapinst installation. I have such a headache after 14 hours of Linux that I can do it tonight. I'll get back  to this tread tomorrow. Thanks.

  • Universal CINs? (For MacOS 10.4 and Intel Macs)

    Hi!
    1. I was wondering if it was possible to build a Universal CIN for MacOS 10.4, in order to support Intel Macs. If so how? I get link errors in Xcode because it cannot find CIN functions such as MoveBlock, and NumericArrayResize when compiling for i386 (which is understandable). Is there an Intel Mac version of liblabviewcin.a and liblvexports.a?
    2. Is it possible for LabVIEW to call a DLL function in a Universal framework? Or must all frameworks be for the PowerPC?
    Thanks.

I am trying to invoke code external to LabVIEW that contain AltiVec and in the future, SSE instructions. Right now I am trying to bundle PowerPC code (with AltiVec instructions) with Intel i386 code to support both PowerPC and Intel Macs using a single binary.
    So basically I have:
    1. A CIN that uses AltiVec currently (which includes AltiVec instructions). I would prefer that it switched to a SSE version automatically when I call the CIN on an Intel Mac.
    2. Some VIs that uses the Call Library Function Node to invoke a function in a Universal Framework. The framework is compiled for both PowerPC and Intel. The PowerPC version includes AltiVec instructions and thus is incompatible with Rosetta. I was wondering if LabVIEW would actually be able to invoke such a function successfully on an Intel Mac. I don't have an Intel Mac on hand, which is why I am asking.
PS: The original post was posted using NI JT's account accidentally. The question is actually mine.
