Sincerelly IvaN FajardoYou can try the preview release on Linux (it's not supported but it works). Just make sure you use JDK 1.4.2_XX (latest 1.4.2).
The production release will officially be supported on Linux ;-)

Is there a Hyperion DRM version for Linux?
Hi All,
I would like to know if exists a version of Hyperion DRM for Linux.
Another question is if the Hyperion DRM version for Windows could be installed in a Virtual Machine.
Regards,
HarveyNo there is not a version for Linux. The middle tier has to run W2K3. The database layer can be in Unix etc.
Yes I tried running DRM on VMWare works great. Not sure about other virtual software.

Which version for Linux?
So I have an Acer Aspire One netbook running Linux and I want to download Flash Player but when I have to choose a version I have no idea which one I need. How can I find out which version, YUM, .tar.gz or .rpm is the right one?
Can anyone help?
Cheers.Compatible? or Certified?
Compatible?
As long as you configure the Linux and get the right version of the supporting packages such as gcc and glibc, nearly every Fedora is 'compatible'.
The packages and the recommended versions of the packages are listed in the Oracle Installation manual for Linux available at http://www.oracle.com/pls/db102/homepage
Steps for installing on many current Linux distros are at http://ivan.kartik.sk
Certified?
None of the Fedoras are. -

regardsUnfortunately, we do not currently offer an evaluation version of LabVIEW for Linux. We do offer evaluation versions of LabVIEW for Windows, so if you have a Windows system available, you can evaluate LabVIEW there. With the exception of a few Windows-specific features, the Linux version of LabVIEW is identical in both layout and functionality.

There is a version for Linux Debian Labview 2011?
Hello ...
I am developing a remote service and one of the objectives is that this database is a server with Debian operating system, I searched the LabView 2011 for Debian GNU / Linux and have not found it, if anyone knows? Also of LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control also for this operating system?
Or any way I can develop my service in windows and then perform a type of application that runs very well considering my database with this server?
Thank you very much and see you soonI have not tried Labview for Linux on Debian (You really need to mention the version). You could try it and see if it works. Note, Labview for Linux only runs 32 bit. The compatibility issue is highly dependen on your 32 bit library.
Even though NI keep saying they are going to support Linux more, I notice they keep saying it for years but heir support is not very good.
I suggest you do a client server relationship. You could install a client software on Windows (you did not mention the type of data base to be used, files, postgres, mysql, hadoop, etc). The client support for windows is dependent on your client support.
Another alternative is to use Network Shared variables. You can host it on the Windows machine and use tcp/ip to fetch the data directly from the windows machine. There are many choices. The information you provide is mininal at best. -
Database Studio Version for Linux 64bit
Hi,
There is a way to get a Database Studio for Linux 64bit systems?
regards
ClóvisHi Clóvis,
sorry - currently we cannot provide a Database Studio which is running with a 64bit JVM. The provided package is an approach to run Database Studio on a 64bit server. But it definitely requires the 32bit JVM. The native 64bit Database Studio will be released later on. Unfortunately today I cannot yet tell you a fixed date for this.
Anyway, thanks for your inquiry.
Best regards,

Plz help me to decide glibc version for linux RHE 4 and suitable RPM
hi folks,
in my project , i m installing linux rhe 4 on oracle 10.2.0.2 .
plz suggest me suitable glibc version with corrosponding updated version of RPM package.
thanksDear Ranjan,
it is always recommended to use the latest available version of glibc. You can use the Red Hat tool 'up2date' to get the latest glibc packages provided through the Red Hat Network (RHN). Currently, glibc-2.3.4-2.36 is the latest one available (as far as I know).
Thanks,

Jdk rpm problem for amd64 architecture
I downloaded jdk-1_5_0_09-linux-amd64.rpm and tried to sign it using our key (via rpm --addsign). After signing, package was broken which is a known issue with earlier RPM-BUILD versions.
Is it possible that you create this package using newer (newest) version of RPM-BUILD as that would avoid the present bug and deploying of jdk on RedHat Enterprise 64 systems will be easier (up2date process needs signed RPMs)
Described problem is not present on 32bit RPMS.Totally agree.
Facing the same issue. Need 2 jdks - one for the application we host and one for the monitoring software. First of all, packaged in a .bin file, which you can get around by running extract, but in the end the big issue is that both rpms name themselves "jdk" - making it hard to automate and manage what a huge pain. With different versions, you have to make sure you install both, and don't accidentally upgrade. Wish Sun would address this. Why bother making an RPM for the Linux community if it doesn't work in a practical manner? -

Hi Thomas,
We currently have three pre-packaged demo version available with slightly different favours. We are evaluating which ones we want to maintain currently and currently all 3 are at SP4 levels. So a questions back to you would be, if the Hyper-V image was dropped, would the Windows 64 bit version still work for you?
You can find that here.

JDK correct version for Portal 7.0 SP15
Hi gurus,
my client has SAP Portal 7.0 SP15 version.
I need to personalize portal.runtime.logon component with NWDS 7.0.15 (SP15).
Which are correct versions of JDK that I must use?
Is jdk1.5.0_14 correct?
Thanks a lot.
GerardoHi Gerardo,
You can use Sun Microsystems J2SE SDK version 1.4.2_08 or 1.4.2_09 (Sun JDK 1.5 not tested). You can download this from Sun Microsystems at http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/1.4.2_09/index.html. Please note that version 1.4.2_10 may cause installation problems.
