Jdk1.6.0_13 64 bit : Has java DB dissaperead ?

Hi,
Just installed jdk1.6.0_13 64 bit after a clean format. The install did not ask where to install Java DB.
Has it dissapeared?
32 bit still seems to have Java DB included
Stéphane

I believe the 64 bit VM from Sun has a more complicated install path than the 32 bit one. So I suggest you read the install instructions.
You might also note that there is a new open source version of derby so it might be better to get that anyways.

  • Setuid bit on java - UnsatisfiedLinkError

    Scenario:
    set user id bit for java executable for linux is set as this
    -rwsr-sr-x 1 root root 64492 Aug 27 05:33 java
    Now you login as non-root and run a Java Program's main method with following code
    System.out.println(java.awt.Component);
    System.out.println(Class.forName("java.awt.Component"));The first line of code is sucessful, but the second line is not.
    It throws the UnsatisfiedLinkError on line 2.
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /opt/SnappimonAgent/jre/lib/i386/libawt.so: libmlib_image.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file
    ry
    But when run as root, it just runs fine.
    Can any body breaks it?

    hi,
    to know what libraries dont are in LD_LIBRARY_PATH do something like:
    ldd /opt/SnappimonAgent/jre/lib/i386/libawt.soyou will get something like:
    linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0x00202000)
            libmlib_image.so => /opt/jdk1.5.0_06/jre/lib/i386/libmlib_image.so (0x00203000)
            libjvm.so => not found
            libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x0078e000)

            libjava.so => /opt/jdk1.5.0_06/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so (0x006e0000)
            libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x00c69000)

            libnsl.so.1 => /lib/libnsl.so.1 (0x003e1000)
            libjvm.so => not foundnote with libjvm.so we get a not found, then you must find where is that library, and change your LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the correct path, I think that for you the follow will works:
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/SnappimonAgent/jre/lib/i386/:/opt/SnappimonAgent/jre/lib/i386/server/this approach solve my problem with UnsatisfiedLinkError i hope that solve yours.

  • Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit has stopped working [Lightroom 5 Beta]

    I was looking for a Lightroom 5 Beta forum but am unable to find one.  Today, I downloaded and installed LR5 Beta on my new HP Envy 64-bit Windows 8 machine.  After running an installation, I started the program.  At first, it asked about opening a catalogue during which time I created a new one as I have no intention of using my LR4 catalogue for LR5B.  After creating the catalogue, it stated the following:
    "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit has stopped working.  A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
    After it closed, I tried opening it again.  Same result.  No matter how many times I tried, the program would not open.  I tried reinstalling the program to no avail using the "repair" feature.  Finally, I just removed the program.

  • Windows Service Manager 32-Bit Has Stopped Responding/iPod not showing up in iTunes

    Hello,
    I've scoured this forum for answers but I cannot find any result that works. I have an iPod classic that I've connected to my Gateway running Windows Vista for over four years without issue. When I was using iTunes 9 the other day, I plugged my iPod into my computer, but it only connected to My Computer and didn't connect to iTunes and update my iPod accordingly. So, the iPod is charging and the iPod is showing the "Connected, Eject before disconnecting" screen, but it isn't adding new music (which kind of defeats the purpose of buying new music). I thought it was because I was using 9, so I downloaded iTunes 10, but the issue still popped up.
    This hasn't pop up today after I installed 10, but back when I was using iTunes 9 the following error came up on my computer: "Windows Service Manager 32-bit Has Stopped Working." Now, no error messages pop up, even though the problem persists.
    I've tried suggestions in this post as well as in this post. Also, with the fix being recommended in those threads to change the code in Notepad by clicking "edit" under the System tab under My Computer? There's one problem - there is no edit button on my options. I've included a screen grab to prove this.
    I don't know if the relative age of the discussions makes any difference - maybe a new fix has com up and i'm just not finding it? Plus, since this issue began with iTunes 9, I can't help but feel like getting rid of iTunes 10 is going to help the issue, either.
    This is incredibly frustrating, not being able to add new music to my iPod, so if anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it, as previously recommended ones aren't useful.
    Screen grab of iPod connecting to My Computer, but not iTunes:
    Screen grab of the lack of an "Edit" button in the place to edit codes as recommended in previous topics:

  • Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64 bit has stopped working error

    I had not been using my laptop for a while and decided to install lightroom 3.2.  I did the install and now when I try to start lightroom I get the error message in the subject line:
    Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64 bit has stopped working
    I have a Windows 7 laptop, with 6gb RAM, ATI Radeon video card.  The laptop is working well, except I just noticed that Photoshop CS5 64 bit and After Effects both give a similar error upon starting those applications as well.
    Any ideas as to how I can solve this problem.
    Thanks,

    I was in the process of updating all my Adobe software in order to tackle an Adobe Media Encoder problem: when I sent a stream from the time line to be converted to an AVI file from Premiere Pro CS4 to Encoder the window appeared & hung.

    Unable to Re-install Adobe Photoshop cs4
    A few years back my brother bought me a Dell Studio XPS 8100 running Windows 7 pro.
    I have 8 gig's of ram and has a 32 and x64 bit system, right now it is enough for my needs and I can easily spare a gig or two for this program.
    I cannot install this program again. I have used iYogi, Adobe Tech, support and am wondering if it makes any difference whether I install it on a x64 or 32 system?
    Why can't i re-installl the program. I used it a lot and I do miss it.

  • HT5246 Everyone has Java installed - how can this tool work?

    Every Mac (and PC user for that matter) has Java installed.  Even if you did not have it, Apple's last two updates installed new versions.  How can this malware tool work?  And why is it limited to Lion?
    Apple - this is not what your customers rightly expect and could be crippling to your reputation.
    Do this over and do it right.  Thankyou.

    Every Mac (and PC user for that matter) has Java installed.
    That's incorrect.
    How can this malware tool work?
    By updating Java, if present, and removing the malware files, if present.
    And why is it limited to Lion?
    It isn't. There's a Java update for Mac OS X 10.6.8 that does the same things.

  • OEM2 bit has been set  (CP 2140)

    I get the following message "OEM2 bit has been set" output to the console of a Sparc CP2140 single board computer when it is trying to boot from power up. (It never boots all the way just outputs the message continuously)
    I suspect, that this may be due to an overtemp (70c) but I cant find in any of the documentation that really describes what this error means. There is an IPMI reference to it, but that's all.
    Pushing the hardware reset button, does not clear the problem either.
    Can it be corrected? Or is the board toast from being overheated?
    Thanks for any help
    -Scott

    I think that's probably used for manufactures "burn-in" tests. As suggested, I think you need to change a setting in your eeprom, set-defaults may work - but will also clear other settings you may want. On my workstation (Ultra5) the specific setting is "setenv mfg-mode off", yours may be similar.

  • Windows Server 2008 64-bit Service Java Crash

    Using the same process that has worked well for creating Windows services for my admin and managed servers on 32-bit I created them on a 64-bit machine using beasvcx64 and JAVA_VM=-server. The server generates a fatal Java exception when starting:

    Does anybody have these servers running as Windows services on 2008? Were there any special steps you took?

    You nailed that Christian.
    In my services both the admin and managed server were being started with the memory argument: -Xms32m -Xmx200m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m
    I think this is the default.
    I changed it to the parameters used in the startup scripts and it worked the first time.
