Jet Data Base and MDAC

I'm being told I need to repair my "Jet Data Base" and "MDAC", I think it has to with components in the OS, but I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with fighter planes. I'm fairly new at
this, I'm sure it shows. But I want to learn. It's hard to tear myself away from the screen. When I do it's usually to buy upgrades for my "rig". My question is, where do I go for definitions and more importantly, where do I find repairs for things
I didn't know where broken? If my "rig" crashes I'm afraid I might have to get a life. So if someone can point me in the right direction I'll be glad to take it from there. Am I at the right place?

I am struggling to link my web page to access data base.
I need to map specific cells to specific tupples in the data base and
when data is retrived from the data base I want to sort it by means of a java programme and then direct the out put to the web page.

You need to know GROUP BY and ORDER BY syntax of SQL.
JSP and HTML knowledge are required too.

I know one way, it is not elegant but it does work.
1. Open Thunderbird. (download here: https://www.mozilla.org/EN/thunderbird/)
2. Click on Address Book.
3. On the left in the new window is a list of your Address books and groups. Select the one you want.
Your addresses will appear to the right.
4. In Thunderbird / Tools select Export, and Save as "Comma Separated".
You can open that list of addresses in Excel or in FileMaker Pro. Mail merge proceeds from there.

A logical database is a special ABAP/4 program which combines the contents of certain database tables. You can link a logical database to an ABAP/4 report program as an attribute. The logical database then supplies the report program with a set of hierarchically structured table lines which can be taken from different database tables.
LDB offers an easy-to-use selection screens. You can modify the pre-generated selection screen to your needs. It offers check functions to check whether user input is complete, correct, and plausible. It offers reasonable data selections. It contains central authorization checks for data base accesses. Enhancements such as improved performance immediately apply to all report programs that use the logical database.
Less coding s required to retrieve data compared to normal internel tables.
Tables used LDB are in hierarchial structure.
Mainly we used LDBs in HR Abap Programming.
Where all tables are highly inter related so LDBs can optimize the performance there.

In response to question 1:
You can designate only 1 LDB on the Attribute screen of the program. You can however, also invoke a LDB program using Function Module LDB_PROCESS. There is some good documentation associated with it.
In response to question 2:
If you specify a LDB on your program attributes, the LDB will present a selection screen. Any parameters/select options that you specify in your program are added to the selection screen that the LDB presents. If you use the Function Module mentioned above, then you alone will control the selection screen and have to pass selection information to the function module.
In response to question 3:
I am not quite sure what you mean by this one, but if some of the other SDNers have answered your question, then no need to clarify for me.

XMII data base and without XI c

Dear friends
I would like to know the following clarification
1)xMII system pulling data from R/3 system and various legacy system. The pulled data is using for analyzing purpose and Is it the date storing in xMII system? How it is working?
2) Is it possible With out XI can we integrate legacy system? If possible why we need XI system

Dhaivakumar,
1. As Rick said xMII uses RFC and BAPI interfaces, or IDOC transfers from the R/3 system. Which means no data is stored on the xMII system. For that matter xMII does not store data from any of the systems it is pulling information from. Depending on the system you are hitting xMII has pre-defined built in connectors that you set up for each these. The data is then streamed to the applets for display on a webpage.
2. xMII does not need XI to run. The reason for XI is it has a guaranteed throughput capability built in, In version 11.5 it does not but coming in xMII 12.0 it will have some of these capabilities built in.

Hi Khalil,
One the first look Oracle 9i is a relational datbase management system. It was designed to hold data. You CAN create programs in an integrated language called PL/SQL. But you can also choose other languages like Java, Forms, C as well.
The database to start with could be Oracle 10g Express Edition.

There is only one solution. Each user must have their own separate user account. All of their respective data would be contained in their separate user accounts. This also means each will have a separate iTunes Library. If you all use the same third-party apps, then each will have to purchase their own copies under their own Apple IDs. Some data sharing is possible. See:

Creating a Crystal Report from a non-SAP data base

I have the following scenario
server1\myDataBase
server1\SAP\sapDataBases
in sapDataBases I have about 30 company databases. I am trying to create a report, that gets informatino from a table/view/SP from server1\myDataBase, when I try to PREVIEW or SAVE such report on SAP Business One, I always get errors as
I understand that this eerror means taht I can't invoke the data from out of SAP; it needs to be inside SAP (at least the SP, incoking some other data bases and stuff..)
Some bodies have told me that it is beacuase I can only create a report from a table/view/sp that resides in the running/currently SAP company database. Is this right?
Also, If this is the case, this means that If I have an SP taht I use for a crystal report, and 30 companies, I have to create such SP in the 30 companies?
This is my software details:
SQL Server 2012
SAP Business One 9 PL 11
SAP BusinessObjects Crystal Reports 2013 Support Pack 2 version 14.1.2.1121
What I want to do is to create a non-SAP data base to create all the SPs/Views for reports, to centralize it, and the just create one reporte and do the 30-imports in each company database, without the need of creating such sps/views in each company-database. Is this possible?

How toStore the Date Variable and pass it when the program runs next time??

HI All,
My JDBC program basically needs two command line args. Rabge_Start_Dt and Range_End_Dt. for ex:
2001-05-31 and 2001-06-01 . And my porgram should run every day. Next day the date range will be 2001-06-01 to some date. It means I have to store some how the range_end_dt and pass it as range_start_dt when my program runs the next day.
Problem:
How can I store the Data variable and pass it as an argument to my porgram when It runs next time. Every time my pogram runs It should pick the range start_dt (==range_end_dt of the previuos run) and end_dt I have to go and query some other data base and pass that value to it.

I am new with data bases in Java. I need to build a servlet that saves data in data base. I would like to use mySQL. I really don't know nothing about mySQL and JDBC, only that it is free and it uses SQL (which I knows).
What should I know and have in order to make this? what jars and what servers should I find? where can I find an example of how to create a data base and use it?
