Jetform

Hi all,
I am using jeform for form printing, but I havent worked earlier on it. I need some help.
I want to change an existing subform in jetform? Please guide me how can I achieve this

Hi Payal,
In the jetform software there is a tool box. You will find a disband button on that.
First you have to select your subform, then click on disband button & then you can do whatever modification you want in your jetform.
For example you can add any extra field, or do any modification in existing.
After you are done with all the changes you have to again regroup it as a subform.

  • Print jetform in duplex mode

    Hi!
We have a multipage jetform (designed using Adobe Output designer) called from smartform. User has requested to print the pages as duplex rather than single page printing.
I explored all the options of setting "Output option" at the smartform page level but no luck. Many solutions on SDN are mentioning the same option but in reality it does not work.
If anyone has come across similar situation please share.

  • How to change an existing Jetform

    Hi.....
I have an SAPScript which needs to be modified. This SAPScript uses a jetform. How to carry out the modifications in this jetform??

    Hi Anuj,
it sounds to me that all your current forms are output forms (for printing, faxing, e-mailing, etc.) i.e. non-interactive.
Interactive Forms based on Adobe software is SAP's new solution for forms development. Its first release has the focus on interactive use of forms. High-volume printing is supported in principle, but - being a new solution - the performance has not yet reached the same level as Smart Forms or SAPscript, two established solutions that had years to grow. Interactive Forms is the only solution that will continue to be enhanced with new features, while SAPscript and Smart Forms will be supported without limitations.
When (or if) to move to Interactive Forms depends on your requirements. For interactive forms usage, i.e. the new functions, you have no choice, as the existing solutions don't support it. High-volume print scenarios need to be carefully analyzed to see whether your concrete requirements can be met at this point.
However, it is possible to move to Smart Forms and design your forms in such a way that a migration at any point in the future would be but a small step. Smart Forms offers from Web AS 6.40 a migration wizard to Interactive Forms. Technically, everything can be migrated, but we recommend against things like ABAP program nodes, for example.
You are not forced to ever go to Interactive Forms if you don't want to. It really depends on whether your client needs any of the new features in Interactive Forms. Also, if they are currently working with JetForms, they could enquire with Adobe directly what migration path they offer to the joint solution.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,

  • What do I need to fill out a form created in JetForm?

I receive a form that I need to fill out, save and send back.  The problem is the form sent to me is a JetForm.  What software/designer do I need to just fill out these forms?  Are there any free downloads?
    Thank you

Since Adobe acquired Accelio, formerly JetForms, in April of 2002, I am surprised the form has not been revised using Adobe's LiveCycle Designer.
If the form has a file type of PDF then form could be filled out and printed by Adobe Reader. If you need to save the form, the author would have had to apply Extended Form Rights with a more current version of Acrobat.

  • Printer not configured at Invoice level (vf02) - Jetforms

    Hi all,
Here i need to trigger an output for an Invoice for a particular printer, but when i checked at VF02, i found printer looking for was not configured !!
And this invoice is maintained through Jetforms, so it needs to check at Jetform server level, i guess
So anyone could please suggest me, how to get print of Invoice for the required printer
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
If printer / device is not configured at application level i.e. VF02, we can make replica of that printer at Jetform server level.
So first trigger the print through an available printer, now access to Jetform server, there you will find the related spool, just copy that file to desktop with name change.
And now when you open the spool, you'll find the Job name follows with the printer name, here you replace the existing printer name with the current printer name, which you're looking for.
Copy the file to DATA folder, hence automatically it triggers the print from the required printer, job is done !!
Let me know for any concerns.

  • Can Output Designer 5.6 compiled templates run on Jetform Server 5.4.1?

Has anyone tried to run templates compiled in Output Designer 5.6, on Jetform Server 5.4.1 (i.e. Central Pro Server)?

Best try it, to be honest. Whether the class files are compatible is only part of the equation. Other things can go wrong, too. For example, we had a similar situation a few years back, where the vendor had a bunch of packages with 'enum' in the name. Bang. Falls over on anything 1.5 or later, when enum became a keyword. There are quite a few open-source libs with the same problem, various Apache Commons libs leap to mind. If your vendor's used any of them, you'll hit the same problem. There's no way you can really just expect it to work, you need to either persuade them to build it on 1.6, or run some exhaustive testing on it yourself, which of course would be a good idea regardless....

  • JetForms processing slow on new Citrix server

JetForms processing on a new Citrix server running Windows 2008 R2 takes twice as long as on the legacy Windows 2003 server.
    Example invoice processing/printing: Legacy = 8-10 seconds New = 16-20 seconds.
Printing same invoice directly from Adobe Reader takes 5.5 seconds on both servers, so it doesn't appear to be a network issue.
Any ideas why the latency?  We are currently testing with NO antivirus software installed/enabled on the new server.

Hi Paul -- thanks again for taking time to work with me on this.   I did the DOS test and even copying a 6meg file was practically instantaneous on the new server.
I had previously reported on the 2 lines in the log file that are adding the delay.   The thing is, there are actually 8 total lines in the log file accessing the same network location.   Only 2 of the eight lines are delayed comparing new vs old server.   Here are all of the lines in order as they appear in the log file.  (There are 129 actual entries in the log, but these are the only 8 that access the C: drive location):

  • Best way to convert JetForm IFD forms to PDF

I have the fun task of converting legacy JetForm IFD forms into Adobe PDF forms.
The process I am using consists of the following steps:
    1) Open IFD in JetForm Designer 5.2 and print to Adobe PDF printer. Close JetForm
    2) Open PDF in Acrobat 7 pro and add text fields and checkboxes where required. Give appropriate field names and save updated PDF.
I understand that IFDs can be imported into Designer 7 only if Adobe Output Designer is installed. I do not have this software to test it out.
Does anyone know if it is possible to import a JetForm IFD into Designer? If so, will fields/checkboxes also import or will they need to be added afterwards.
If anyone has done this with success or has any other related info, please post to this forum!
    Thanks.

Yes, Designer 7 will directly import Output Designer 5.5 .ifd files. I don't use Designer 7 as Adobe turned a corner with the software that we don't want to take. But a quick test with one of our Output Designer forms indicates that it seems to do a pretty good job of importing everything. It did seem to have a font sizing problem so that some of the text boxes, check boxes, etc. were not imported large enough to show all of the text. You get a big ole white on red plus sign showing that it needs to be expanded.
This was a simple mostly text form. It might have more quirks with more complex forms.
Output Designer is the renamed & reworked update to JetForm Designer. In the process of being updated by Adobe it lost the form filling intelligence which is where it got the "output" label. Therefore, I doubt if it can import any intelligence so you would have to add it all back.
Even if you were to upgrade to version 5.5 you would have to basically do two conversions. First from 5.2 to 5.5, loosing all filling intelligence and I don't know what else since we looked at the older version but when it came time to purchase we got 5.5. If you did that it would import directly but you would still have to rebuild any intelligence.
Unless you have a lot of forms with a lot of fields you are probably doing it the most efficient way.

  • JetForm und SAP Interactive Forms

    Hallo zusammen,

  • Help needed with price sticker printing using Jetform

    Hi,
I am trying to do a layout for printing price stickers. Here is an example of what the output should look like :
    1st Sticker 2nd Sticker
    Cust Name Order date #
    Address Print Time #
    Cust # Cust Ord #
    3rd sticker 4th sticker
    Item # Item #
    Price# Price#
and so on the stickers will keep printing, two stickers side by side in portrait style. After all the items and related fields are printed then the last page looks like :
    Cust Name Order date #
Address Print Time # Zone #
Cust # Cust Ord # Total Stickers #
To achieve the above format structure, I defined 3 subforms. The 1st form is the fields listed on Sticker1 and sticker 2. The 2nd form has fields listed on sticker3 and sticker 4.(Any number of stickers should be printed by the second subform). The 3rd subform is the ending structure with the customer name and the total stickers.
I added a few lines of code in the preamble :
    ^inline on
    ^define group:PRDITM1!FldNotAvail \fieldNP\groupITM.
    ^define group:PRDITM1!FldUsed \fieldNP\groupITM.
    ^define group:ITM \reserve"1.50",in\subform2\fieldPRDITM1.
    ^define group:ITM!OnBOF \page1\fieldNP.
    ^define group:DELADDA!FldNotAvail \fieldNP\groupADDA.
    ^define group:DELADDA \positionabsolut,"0.5","9.0",in\subform3\fieldDELADDA.
I am very new to Jetforms and not sure how the above mentioned structure can be achieved. Please help.

  • Calling Jetform through SAPScript

We are trying to find the layout form for one of our Business document.
Our print program says that SAP Script along with some JetForm is used for the print layout. We've got the SAP Script, but how to find out the JetForm used in this Script.
In NACE, we have only one assignment for our print program, and the form assigned is SAP Script form.
However, In SAP Script Main window, there is some ^ (carot sign) is used with some command. Is this carot sign related to JetForm?
For your info, In SAP Script no layout is specified(labels and fonts).. but still the output PDF is having some labels, might be coming from JetForm.
How do we edit JetForm in SAP?
    thanks,
    Lakshmy.

SAPscript is used to pass values. THe labels are defined and modified using a jetform editor - which needs to be installed separately.
    solution has been clarified.

  • Problems with Compiled files when Adobe Jetforms are used

    Hi,
I am taking outputs of Customer Facing Documents from SAP R/3 using Jetform Output Designer Version 5.4.0.130.
The printer I am using is HP LaserJet 5100 Series. From the information I gathered this uses PCL 6. Therefore I compiled the file with the presentment target HP Laserjet 5000/5000N(PCL6)-[hp5000x]. When I use the PDF viewer as the default it gives me perfect alignment of the various fields. However when I take a printout everything is disturbed.
Can you please suggest, what is the best approach to take.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Paul

There is a difference in resolution between PDF print and PCL print. E.g. PDF is default 1000 dpi, which is fine for screen view, yet most printers are 300 dpi or 600 dpi.
If you make a copy of the PDF.ICS to apv_PDF.ICS. You can change the resolution by opening the file with a text editor like Notepad. Set the value to match your printer. Choose your custom PDF printer driver in Output Designer and recompile the form.
You'll find it in the \Config directory where your designer is installed. ..\JetForm\Output Designer\Config
