JHS 10.1.2.2 (build 31) documentation issues

Hi,
The migration.html doc and the jhsdevguide.pdf are the same as in the 10.1.2.1 release. Can we expect updated documents or do we have to live with 10.1.2.1 documentation with our 10.1.2.2 release?
Is there any additional information available about the new properties in the ASF? (Beside the release notes?)

Anthonie,
As it is a patch release with only minor functional changes, we did not change the developers guide. The migration steps to upgrade remain the same as well. The new features are documented in the release notes, and in the application structure file editor itself.
Please use this forum if you have questions about the new features not answered by the release notes.

Documentation Issue? Missing IIS Websites

Hi,
Curious if this is a documentation issue or I'm actually missing some web sites. This implementation is CM integrated.
According to this page (Link) for MBAM 2.5, I'm supposed to have the MBAMAdministrationService,MBAMComplianceService and MBAMRecoveryAndHardwareService IIS sites. This information is
listed under the Stand-Alone implementation of MBAM though (not ConfigMgr Integrated). Currently I have the following -

MBAMRecoveryAndHardwareService
MBAMUserSupportService
SelfService
Notice that I'm missing MBAMComplianceService.
Under the ConfigMgr section, there is nothing about validating the web services in IIS. I know that the compliance portion is technically covered by ConfigMgr, but verification that I have the rest covered would be nice in the documentation.
Any thoughts? Am I covered?

In the CMIntegration topology, the compliance reporting will be handled by SCCM itself. You can see two new configuration baseline gets created after the installation along with a collection dedicated to MBAM.
There will not be any IIS Site for the compliance reporting. You can view compliance reporting for machines using SCCM reporting. There will a separate section for all MBAM Reports.
Also don't define the endpoints for the Compliance Reporting in the MBAM GPOs (Client management) in CM Integration topology.

XML Forms Builder complete Documentation and more

I have several questions to the XML-Forms-Builder (XML-FB):
1)
I am searching for a really complete documentation of the XML-FB. I know the "how to create xml forms - PDF", the "help.sap.com", this forum,...., but i don't find one complete documentation. For example i miss the description of really all controls AND whose properties.
2)
Can I await any changing/enhancement between NW 2004 SP16 (my active Release) and NW 2004s SPx - with focus to the XML-FB?
3)
Is it possible to create forms witch allows <u>the author</u> to choose the placement of controls - for example images in the left, right, middle of the page - maybe via select/assign the corresponding form (-> maybe via using control-selector)? This means more individual flexibility for the author.
I am searching for a solution without programming a proprietary solution, only customizing !

1.) There is no. Some features have been added more or less silently within the last year, but a central doc hasn't been published.
2.) All I know is: Not much. Maybe the Forms Builder developer at SAP reads this and could throw a somewhat more detailed answer.
3.) We have developed this as a small part of easyWCM; when creating the XML form, you can define not only 1 ShowForm, but different; the author then can choose which form to use. We provide such pre-defined forms within the BP.

[JHS 10.1.2.2 build 32] Editting table results in NoSuchElementException

hopefully somebody has already encountered and solved this problem.
We are using jHeadstart 10.1.2.2 build 32 and have generated our application in JSPs. But i'm running into a quite structural problem when using the editable table.
I execute the following steps:
- On a few pages we have editable tables that display one empty (new) row at the bottom.
- The tables (views) have a few mandatory columns (attributes).
- I do not fill all the required field in the empty row
- I press the commit button
The page shows the relevant message (the field is mandatory) in the screen but also dumps a NoSuchElementException in the last line.
The last line shown is the 'new' row.

When getting the 6th row (index 5) the errorBeans array throws an IndexOutOfRangeException which in turn results in the NoSuchElement exception.
Does anybody recognize this problem? Does anybody have a solution? I'm trying to hack into the RangeSetWrapper class, but am not very succesfull at the moment (Well the Exception is gone, but rows get mixed up ;-))

Problem solved....
It seems we had overridden some framework method in a subclass of JhsDataAction called clearFormBeanValues(). If you don't call this method you will get the exception stack i encountered. (The comments said the forms were always cleared and it shouldn't do that when errors were encountered.... too bad, not a name ;-))
Hopefully nothing else will break now i ripped out that code ;-)

Flash builder 4 productivity issue

We are currently using flash builder 4.0.1 and I believe we are running into the source path issue :

We have around twenty developers using flash builder on a large project and this issue is slowing us considerably. We tried a few workarounds found on your forums but most of our tools need the path within the project to be defined as a source path. The library path option with source attachment is not really an option with our current setup.
Is there any way to download a flash builder nightly build or get the fix within a patch? (I can see that it was fixed in august and it is part of one of your milestone)
We have someone in my company in contact with a rep but I don't think the adobe rep can answer that specific request.

After further investigation, we found out that we were defining a few of our namespace by referencing directly the packages of our custom component instead of creating a clean namespace as recommended by the flex documentation. Using the package definition works just fine when it is local but our component were located in a swc library.
We were doing this :
xmlns:foo="com.mCompany.controls.foo*"
instead of generating an xml manifest and basing our namespace on it
xmlns:foo="http://com.myCompany.controls/foo"
We think that flash builder was slowing down because each and every time we were loading up an mxml it had to rescan the said package.

RH10 - Printed Documentation Issues.

I'm new to RH10. I've started a new Technical Authoring role having taken 6 years out of the role... In my previous roles I've walked into the company and the styles and templeate were already set up and I just got on with the authoring part of the role. However, this time I'm starting from scratch, so am requiring some help.
I've used Robohelp in the past and decided this was the software to go along with. However, it's quite a bit different to how I remember it!
Currently I am using a trial of Robohelp 10. I have created a test project and managed to generate a Microsoft HTML Help file. I'm now trying to generate this into a printed document. Issues I'm having are:
Firstly I seem to have a line of text which is set as Conditional Build Tag of Online only showing in my printed document. There are other Onliine only bits that are not showing, but this particular line I just cannot seem to remove from the printed document. Any suggestions on how to deal with this? I have removed the conditional tag and re added it.
The company's brand is to use Tahoma font. However, I'm finding that when I print the document it comes out in grey, even though I've set the font colour to be automatic. I've even tried to swap this to being black, but I still seem to get grey print. Is this down to the font type I'm using or could there be an issue with the generation?
I've set my Heading 1 style to be centred for the title page and still it prints out left alligned. Am I missing something with the style?
Finally, each of my topics are coming out printed on a new page, even though I have not selected the 'Start each topic on new page' check box when setting up the generation options. Can you point me in the right direction to adjust this please.
I'm sure that mose of these are user error and probably down to my rusty authoring. But hoping that help on these will help me to move forward and loosen up the rustyness!!!

Online Conditional Build Tag: You may want to check what Conditional Build Tag expression is being used in the Printed Documentation single source layout? This controls the content that is included. However be aware that content in a topic (or a topic itself) can have more than one tag assigned to it. I think this will be a case of going back to the topics that have the online tag and doing some investigation. You can easily identify the topics with a CBT by right clicking on a tag in the Conditional Build Tag pod and selecting Properties.
This could be down to the Word styles you are using in the template and how they are mapped to the RH Styles. Check out the following link for an excellent tutorial on producing printed documentation. http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/printing/printing.htm

Report Builder - Last page issue and Report Footer issue

I am using ColdFusion 9 Report Builder, am new to this product and encountering 2 issues.
Issue 1 - I have a field that I would like to print on the last page of my report. How can I determine the last page? I initially tried using a calculated field set to the 'highest' calc.Page_Number. Then I could compare the current page to the last page in the 'Print When' property. But calc.Page_Number can not be used in a definition of a calculated field.
Issue 2 - Depending on the amount of report detail, sometimes my report footer prints alone, without a page header and page footer. The report includes this page in the total number of pages. For example, if it is a 2 page report, the page header on page 1 will display Page 1 of 2. Then the only data on Page 2 is the Report Footer. No page header or page footer prints.
Any assistance on these issues would be most appreciated. To date, using the Report Builder has not been easy.

To issue 1: The report contains a report band called report footer. thsi is always at the last page. The report footer band initially is collapsed, so you have to expand it by dragging the last band divider.
To issue 2: I guess this is a page break calculating error when detail data reaches really near the page footer area.
Try some experiments with different setting of the following properties/issues:
- in elements, e.g. calculating fields in the bands between report detail and page footer: In Properties / Print Control / Printing Options: Activate the option "Remove line when blank". This will remove the whole report band area if this field is blank. May save some empty space.
- try to remove unused empty space between detail rows.
- try to resize and reposition all detail fields so that they snap to the grid.

Flash Builder 4 LDAP issue on IIS 7 with Coldfusion 8

I have a cfc that returns empty strings back into my project when I attempt an auto login through LDAP. The same files perform correctly on a different server with IIS 6. I set up a simple cfm on the IIS 7 server and received the appropriate data. I set up a cfm on the IIS 7 server to invoke the very same cfc that fails in the flash builder and received the appropriate data. Both servers are inside the company firewall.
The web folder is set up as an application with windows authentication enabled, disabling and enabling the anonymous authentication seems to have no impact on any of the scenarios. I am assuming I am missing some configuration in the ColdFusion Flex integration but I am not sure what it is. Anyone have a shot in the dark on this one?

SSL connections are not being used.

What I am now experiencing on two different machines is what appears to be outside the scope of these notes and either a new issue that is reproducible, or a Java issue related to 10.7. Not being a Java guy I'm not sure were to begin short of trying Eclipse on its own.
I am able to produce a crash of FB 4.5.1 by just trying to close an MXML file by clicking the close button of the tab, or by closing a project. This is on two seperate machines now.

First of all, you should be clear about what's you are doing. You are trying to build python2-matplotlib-noqt from the AUR. Bugs in the AUR packages must be mentioned/discussed in the comment of that package. I don't see how this package disable the qt dependency besides nor requiring it, but I have not investigate the build process of matplotlib. What I would suggest is to try to build the official python-matplotlib package and make the modification yourself so that it does not depend of qt, if you know how to do it. If not, simply install the official package.

Folio Builder Sign-In Issues (yes, I know I'm the 1,000th person to post this!)

I'm about to go insane... I can't sign into the Folio Builder panel in InDesign CC (v9.1 x64). I must have been asked 12 times today to sign into CC, and accept the license agreement another 6 times.
I was signed into the Folio Builder panel most of the day with no issues, but now it won't let me. I get the sign in dialog, but when I enter my credentials, the dialog just goes away and nothing happens!
This isn't the issue where deleting the OOBE folder solves it (I tried that just to see, anyway). I had this happen last week and had to delete InDesign and completely reinstall it before I could sign in again. Just for the record, I only have CC programs installed, no other CS versions of anything... and I'm on a Windows 7 machine.
I'M GETTING SICK OF INSTALLING INDESIGN CC OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN! Sorry, just a bit frustrated...
Is there any simple, long-term fix for this??

I'm not signing into another Adobe account, I'm signing into another Windows account on my Windows 7 machine. So, I don't lose any folios, etc, as I'm still using the same Adobe ID to sign in.
I was having issues staying signed into Creative Cloud a while back as well, and I used the "create a new admin account" trick to solve my folio builder issues as well. See the post here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5651099#5651099 The Adobe person provides links to creating new admin accounts for Mac and Windows users. Follow the instructions, and try this route if uninstalling and reinstalling InDesign didnt' work.
Also, just as a side note, I have been using the folio builder panel yesterday and today without any issues... so if you can't sign in, then it "probably" isn't a widespread issue. I know that doesn't make you feel any better, but I'm hoping this is a localized issue that Adobe can pinpoint and provide an accurate, repeatable solution for!

Flash builder 4 install issue

I have downloaded the trial of Flash Builder 4 only to get the following message when I try to extract the files.
A problem occurred while extracting some files.Check available space on your computer and the write priviliges on the destination folder.
So far I have tried the following
Run as administrator
download using , firefox, opera and chrome
use a different machine - my main system has Win7 64bit the other system has Win7 32bit
extract to a directory which is not the default one
None of the above are working.
Anyone got any ideas how to fix this?

3. Uninstall Flash Builder 4.6 using Creative Suites uninstaller
4. Repeat Step 1 and restart machine, download the Standalone installer at
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=flash_builder
and install, this should install it, and would take the Serial number from Creative Suites automatically.

Building SCD2 table issue

Hello,
I have to build SCD type 2 on one column value. Before I implement "catch-modification" in our DWH, I have to load historical data to such dimension.
I have original table which is catching modifications on many fields (about 20), so my one field I am interested in is repeated many times,although its value was not changed.
This is sample of original , SDC2 field is "status", business key is "matnr".

Problem I am not able to solve is in the part of aggregating of repeated statuses. 04 is used before 06, but its again used after 06.... I know how to solve that with SSIS and script component, but I am wondering how to do that without temporary table also
in TSQL. Code must be fast adequatly, source table has about 350 000 rows and it could be shrinked to something about 65 000 with aggregation described above.

Web Service portlet using pdk documentation issue

Hi,
I have followed the instructions in
http://portalcenter.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/PDK/ARTICLES/how.to.build.web.services.portlets.html
on how to build web service portlets.
I have successfully deployed the WS portlet and can happily call my web Service (RPC style) passing a set of parameters which I have formatted using a stylesheet.
However, every time I refresh the page within portal, it recalls the WS with the previously submitted parameters. Also, if I switch between view and edit mode in portal, it again calls the WS with previously entered parameters.
Can I stop this happening either through a setting in portal or code in my Stub class. (Stub class below)

You can enable caching for your portlet. There are three types of caching you can use: expiry, validation, and invalidation-based caching. You can learn about your options in the Enhancing Portlet Performance with Caching section of the Portal Developer's Guide.
