JIT Processing
Hello Everyone,
I am new to the forum but have been using SAP a few years now. I am an analyst/EDI coordinator. We are a manufacturer that processes customer Schedule Agreements, both Cumulative and JIT. This is a JIT-based question. We have a customer that is sending in JIT data via Idocs with an External JIT Call number, multiple component groups, and multiple components. They can send multiple Idocs for the same External JIT Call Number for different component groups and components. If they send in the same External JIT Call, component group, and component with a different quantity, for example, it is being processed from the Idoc. It reads "JIT action was not carried out: transfer data not correct. Message no. JIT00402". I am using JIT action MODI in Status change->actions for this. This can be found under Logistics Execution->JIT Inbound->Call Control->Define Call Control. Can someone guide me to how I can have an existsing JIT call and modify or add new component groups and components? Thank you.
Nick Franco
Perhaps we can try another way. I am trying to create an Interlinked JIT Action. The first step runs action DLET which deletes a JIT Component Group. The next step I run in the Interlinked action is CGAP, which is to add a JIT Component Group. When I run this interlinked action on an existing JIT call and component group, the component group deletes, but it does not add the new component group. If I rerun the same action (reprocess the Idoc), it adds the new component group. Is anyone familiar with JIT processing and would know why this could be happening? Thank you.
Nick Franco

Scheduling agreement with relase - doc type LPA with JIT
Hi
can any one give the steps for Scheduling agreement with relase - doc type LPA with JIT process.. and explain how the JIT will work in SA.
Pls advise what are config required and what the user tcode needed to perform the SA with JIT concept.Dear Friend,
Without release documentation(Document type LP)
The delivery schedule lines have official character-that is to say, they are transmitted to the vendor as they are saved in the system. The system does not document in detail releases aganist the scheduling agreement that have been sent to the vendor. Therefore,in the case of the document type without release documentation, the message control facility should be set up in such a way that a message is immediately sent to vendor if any changes are made to the delivey schedule stored in the system.
With release documnetation(Document type LPA)
If you use scheduling agreement with release documentation, the delivery schedule lines are not transmitted directly to the vendor.Intially ,the lines of the delivery schedule stored in the system for an LPA scheduling agreement for an internal information only.A message informing the vendor of your material requirements cannot be transmitted to the vendor until you explicitly create an SA release, that is forecast (FRC) or Just in Time(JIT) delivey schedule.Through this process, you can change the way schedule lines are represented. With release documentation, you can disply the SA releases(delivery schedules) transmitted to a vendor over a certain period of any time. This enables you to trace precisely when you sent which information to vendor.

HI all,
We are on SRM 5.0 ECS.THe flow is : Ext PR-->created SC in SRM >PO>GR-->INV
We are trying to close some PO's but get the foll error:
Document item "PR #/Item #" has not yet been carried forward to the current year
Posting in fis. yr 2011 is not possible; in FM ope n doc."PR#" in fis. yr 2009
Please advise. Are you doing JIT processes? Are you using DIMP Automotive ? If yes, then it could be caused by a bug which is fixed with OSS note 1634429 - VL09: Goods movement reversal scenario with warehouse
Are you eventually still in release 45A or B? In that case this error can be fixed with 137983 - Error in WM when reversing GI for delivery
At least it is not normal that this error message comes up.
As said it maybe caused that the info in the delivery does not fit anymore to the current warehouse setup, or by a program bug. You may need to contact SAP as this needs a deep analysis -

\Formatted text goes here.
\Example:
This is formatted. When cutting and pasting text such as execution plans, excerpts from AWR reports, etc, it will maintain spacing and formatting, and make for much easier reading.
As to the content, well, dumping the contents of v$system_event is pretty close to useless.
As to the first three events you listed, 'enq: TX - index contention', 'enq: TX - row lock contention', 'enq: SQ - contention', well, all of those are easily tunable.
First, for 'enq: SQ - contention', check your sequences. Do you have any NOCACHE sequences? Or sequences with small caches?
As for 'enq: TX - row lock contention', well that's fairly self-explanatory. You have multiple sessions trying to lock the same row in the same table at the same time.
Last, 'enq: TX - index contention', that's non-row level contention on an index. For example, if you have a unique index, insert a row w/ column value 1, but don't commit, then try to insert that same value from another session.
But, before you do any of that, I think you need to clearly understand where the bottlenecks are. Try taking some AWR snapshots, about 5 minutes apart, when you're having performance problems. Look at the AWR report for that 5 minute period. In particular, look at your Top 5 timed events.
Hope that helps,

How to set the correct shared pool size and db_buffer_cache using awr
Hi All,
I want to how to set the correct size for shared_pool_size and db_cache_size using shared pool advisory and buffer pool advisory of awr report. I have paste the shared and buffer pool advisory of awr report.
Shared Pool Advisory

* Note there is often a 1:Many correlation between a single logical object in the Library Cache, and the physical number of memory objects associated with it. Therefore comparing the number of Lib Cache objects (e.g. in v$librarycache), with the number of Lib Cache Memory Objects is invalid.

hi
i am THENNARASU, PP consultant. in our case client is impoting some raw material that is very costlier and lead time also high ( 90days). for that type of material how to plan, whether we can use MRP... i need some clarificationHi Thennarasu,
The business process should be decided first, SAP is just a tool to support it.
The use of MRP doesn't depend on the lead time or on the value of the goods.
Generally, high stock levels are not desired for goods of high value - e.g. JIT was invented to solve that problem (other question is that JIT process places a burden on the supplier...).
Because your lead time is very long some safety stock should be kept from that material even though the value is high...
Sometimes, customers force their suppliers to keep stock at their location that is owned by the supplier. The supplier have to keep the stock between certain (dynamic or statics) stock levels. This is the combination of consignment and VMI - that might be unfair since the supplier have additional costs.
Safety stoc can also be kept at the cost of the customer.
Sometimes, the supplier builds a samll plant near the customer and this way, relocating its production (or part of it), tries to solve this kind of situation.
In my opinion, you should consider the use of some kind of safety stock, since the long leadtime might jeopirdize the production if something goes wrong.
But of course, w/o knowing anything about your business process these are just general ideas.
Regards,
Csaba

hello,
I am currently trying to optimize a data warehouse. its data updation procedure is too slows. I have gathered some wait statistics here they are
latch: shared pool 51660257 3.57
direct path read 42034287 2.9
jobq slave wait 30777938 2.12
latch: session allocation 17211160 1.19
PX Deq: Msg Fragment 16296709 1.12
JOX Jit Process Sleep 14199622 .98
PX Deq: Slave Session Stats 9812554 .68
latch: cache buffers chains 8740357 .6
latch free 6843574 .47
wait list latch free 3103540 .21
PX Deq Credit: send blkd 2546416 .18
PX Deq: Table Q Normal 1066046 .07
PX Deq: Join ACK 877460 .06
cursor: pin S wait on X 815031 .06
shared pool latch during the discussion was the most big problem the architecture described. my point was since it was warehouse database and we are using literal so it should be normal.. what is the opinion of member of this forum.
direct path read/writes are next. we need to distribute the disk I/O system
latch: session allocation why its here. I dont know why we have it.
also is cursor: pin S wait on X is enough to worry about ?
kindly give you expert opinion
regards
NickContentions for the shared pool and library cache latches are mainly due to intense hard parsing. A hard parse applies to new cursors and cursors that are aged out and must be re-executed. Excessive hard parsing is common among applications that primarily use SQL statements with literal values.
Discover the magnitude of hard parsing in your database using the following query. The number of soft parses can be determined by subtracting the hard parse from the total parse.
select a.*, sysdate-b.startup_time days_old from v$sysstat a, v$instance b where a.name like ’parse%’;
Discover the current sessions that perform a lot of hard parses:
select a.sid, c.username, b.name, a.value, round((sysdate - c.logon_time)*24) hours_connectedfrom v$sesstat a, v$statname b, v$session cwhere c.sid = a.sidand a.statistic# = b.statistic#and a.value > 0and b.name = ’parse count (hard)’order by a.value;
You should see significant reduction in the contention for the shared pool and library cache latches when you convert literal SQL statements to use bind variables. The conversion is best done in the application. The workaround is to set the initialization parameter CURSOR_SHARING to FORCE. This allows statements that differ in literal values but are otherwise identical to share a cursor and therefore reduce latch contention, memory usage, and hard parse.
WHATS UR CURSOR_SHARING set to ??

Just the other day I was wondering whether we would still have SAP at the time of our retirement.
The more I think about it, the more I feel that SAP would not last more than 10 to twelve years.
Are my concerns justified, considering the past couple of decades have seen the demise of MRP systems. Will there not be one day when ERP will become obsolete and SAP no longer the best choice??
Regards,
Ravi BhatnagarDepends on what you want to do -- While banks might still be using 35 year old COBOL programs would you STILL be wanting to work in THAT environment.
Some might of course but most people I know want a chance at doing things they percieve infinitely more interesting (and potentially more rewarding - both financial and from a satisfaction point of view).
Newer apps such as Automated FOREX (foreign exchange for those that don't know what FOREX is) trading systems, Stock trading systems Online betting / gaming systems, JIT processes, Neural Networks etc etc. require totally new data retrieval and programming methods. The old central server idea has had its day and unless SAP enters these markets with ROBUST, SECURE and MAINTAINABLE processes then it will eventually join that "great corporation in the sky".
The current Dogs dinner of a mess with the JAVA and ABAP stacks which make maintainability an ADMIN nightmare definitely need to be sorted -- as also the whole user experience with the Web Dynpro applications.
SAP currently IS in a sort of transition -- rather like Microsoft -- both highly successful companies but asking a similar question "Where do we go from here".
Some of the newer stuff doesn't always look good - I've "De-Vista'ed" two laptops recently because of the relative unuseability and performance of VISTA even though XP is a few years older.
Developers might hate this but usually innovation is driven by USERS who often come up with totally new ideas for apps which the original people never thought of. A .Classic example is mobile phone texting. This was regarded initially as a little extra that could be added since it used so little bandwidth. Now it's a licence to print money.
SAP will survive for a long time yet -- but whether as a reasonably innovative company supplying great useable products or as an old Dinosaur only time will tell.
Remember also in Classical type industries more and more processes are 100% totally automated (even in India and China factories won't for ever rely on huge numbers of people running them). This means a lot of the ERP software associated with these businesses once developed won't need the armies and armies of "Abappers" or new SAP Licences so SAP ( and the huge number of programmers using SAP software) must embrace newer applications and technology or go out of business.
Cheers

BusinessObjects.Licensing.KeycodeDecoder.dll could not be loaded
Hi we have developed an web appliaction using CR fro VS 2010 and framework 4.0 and upgrade the application to the release version of CR for VS 2010 (13.0)
In the developmet enviroment everithing works well, but when we install the web application to the client web server whe we try to access to our report developed using CR we have always a blank page with this js error "bobj is undefined", and when we watch to the event viewer we find also an entry with this message "the assembly BusinessObjects.Licensing.KeycodeDecoder.dll could not be loaded"
The web server enviroment is this one
-Win2003 server 32 bit with IIS6
-Framework 4 installed
-CR 13.0 installed
-no other CR version installed in the server
-Web application running with an application pool with an administrator user
Could someone help us?By the way, after some research it looks like this error originates from the ReportDocument class's constructor. It appears that during this process is where loading of resources takes place and also some license checking stuff. In this process somewhere a FileNotFoundException results in this error showing up in the Windows Application event log.
I'm taking a look at the situations that may be causing this to happen but I can't find anything yet. My assumption is that this type of exception can be raised in cases where a file is not accessible due to permissions issues or hadn't been installed properly due to similar issues with permissions. Also I believe sometimes registry related errors can show up as FileNotFoundExceptions as well so I'm looking out for that too.
UPDATE:
It looks like the private ReportDocument.getMaxUsage() method that is called indirectly the first time a ReportDocument instance is created and this method appears to reference objects declared within the BusinessObjects.Licensing.KeycodeDecoder assembly such as the following types.
com.crystaldecisions.common.keycode.KeycodeException
com.crystaldecisions.common.keycode.KeycodeCollection
com.crystaldecisions.common.keycode.KeycodeDecoderFactory
These references are causing a FileNotFoundException when the assemblies are being resolved during the JIT processes and hence causing the errors that everybody has been seeing in their Windows Application error log. Since the exception is being caught and logged, this may not be negatively affecting the behavior of the new Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 release but it does cause these error logs to pile up though and exceptions are also somewhat costly performance wise to raise so that could slow down the initialization of some apps just slightly.

Hi Experts,
I have an issue with IDoc types Delins/Deljit. If customer send us a new delivery schedule for next weeks, the old lines are deactivated. System replace old lines instead of appending them.
I found in documentation the field in Idoc which should help me out, but I'm not sure how it should works.
E1EDP10 - LABKY:
1 = Append, if FST02 = C
2 = Replace, if FST02 = D
Needs confirmation that Company X does not resend undelivered schedule lines
What is FST02? Where should I maintain this field?
Thanks in advance!Hi michal,

Hi,
As per documents In general, the addition of wait classes helps direct the DBA more quickly toward the root cause of performance problems.
How could i trace the root cause of performence problems if it is related to wait class?
Thanks,userpat wrote:

Thanks,I am not completely sure that I understand your question. The wait class gives you an approximate idea of where the performance problem will be found. You must then further investigate the wait events in that wait class. There are of course potential problems with starting at the wait class (some wait classes have 2 wait events, while others have many - that could throw off the search for the problem that is impacting performance the most), but at least it provides a starting point. To give you an idea of the wait events in each wait class, here is a SQL statement that was executed on Oracle Database 11.1.0.7:

TOTAL 1.4G
TOTAL, minus reserved VM space 373.3MYou installed the "Genieo" rootkit. The product is a fraud, and the developer knowingly distributes an uninstaller that doesn't work. I suggest the tedious procedure below to disable Genieo. This procedure may leave a few small files behind, but it will permanently deactivate the rootkit (as long as you never reinstall it.)
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data. You must know how to restore from a backup even if the system becomes unbootable. If you don't know how to do that, or if you don't have any backups, stop here and ask for guidance.
Step 1
In the Applications folder, there should be an item named "Genieo". Select it and open the Finder Info window. If it shows that the Version is less than 2.0, download and install the current version from the genieo.com website. This may seem paradoxical, since the goal is to remove it, but you'll be saving yourself some trouble as well as the risk of putting the system in an unusable state.
There should be another application in the same folder named "Uninstall Genieo". After updating Genieo, if necessary, launch "Uninstall Genieo" and follow the prompts to remove the "newspaper-style home page." Restart the computer.
This step does not completely inactivate Genieo.
Step 2
Don't take this step unless you completed Step 1, including the restart, without any error messages. If you couldn't complete Step 1, stop here and ask for instructions.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/Frameworks/GenieoExtra.framework
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.
If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder should open with an item named "GenieoExtra.framework" selected. Move that item to the Trash. You'll be prompted for your administrator password.
Move each of these items to the Trash in the same way:
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.update.plist
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.engine.plist
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieoinnovation.macextension.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.genieoinnovation.macextension.client.plist
/Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.genieoinnovation.macextension.client/u/usr/lib/libgenkit.dylib/usr/lib/libgenkitsa.dylib
/usr/lib/libimckit.dylib
/usr/lib/libimckitsa.dylib~/Library/Application Support/com.genieoinnovation.Installer~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.download.plist
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.update.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those listed above, move them as well. There's no need to restart after each one. Some of these items will be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
Restart and empty the Trash. Don't try to empty the Trash until you have restarted.
Step 3
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including ones called "Genieo" or "Omnibar," and any that have the word "Spigot" or "InstallMac" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Your web browser(s) should now be working, and you should be able to reset the home page and search engine. If not, stop here and post your results.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install this software. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad has a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If youever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Genieo developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. It must be said that this failure of oversight is inexcusable and has seriously compromised the value of Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You cannot rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
Finally, be forewarned that when Genieo is mentioned on this site, the developer sometimes shows up under the name "Genieo support." If that happens, don't believe anything he says, but feel free to tell him what you think of his scam. -

Why the same name of process comes out in AIX , in java. please help me.
Hello.
I have two questions related to Jvm.
I've developed Job scheduler program which is doing somthing as the DB schedule is set in the way of Multi
thread. Currently , I'm in the process of testing this one. It is good , if in the normal case. However, When
doing Shell, if the application have so a lot to do the Shell, it has a little problem.
My developing environment is
OS : AIX 5.3
JRE : IBM J9 VM (build 2.4, JRE 1.6.0 IBM J9 2.4 AIX ppc-32 jvmap3260sr7-20091214_49398
(JIT enabled, AOT enabled)
nofiles(descriptors) 2000
maxuproc 4096 Maximum number of PROCESSES allowed
per user True
In order to execute Shell in My Scheduler program , I tested Runtimeexec() or ProcessBuilder.
The result of mine in the test , when the executed Shell got over 300 is
1. The jvm processes that I execute at the first time are shown up , after Shell go to the finish, the
processes are all in the disappearance again , and at last The processes that I executed at the first time are
remaining. It's like the process is duplicated process in the maximum of 70.
When I do shell about 200 to be executed simultaneously, Duplicated jvm about 3 appeared momentarily, then
disappeared, and also under 120, No duplicated case is found when under 120.
ps -ef result is below , when shell is excuted
UID PID PPID C STIME TTY TIME CMD
jslee 626906 1 0 11, May - 2:20 java -
DD2_JC_HOME=/source/jslee/JOB -Dfile.encoding=euc-kr jobserver.JobServerMain

Dfile.encoding=euc-kr jobserver.JobServerMain
(the process list about 60)
*the first question : Why a lot of duplicated jvm are shown up when in alot of shell to be executed ?
*the second question : As you can see above , How can I solve out the problem.
*Is there some option that I can set up when starting Jvm?
---Next question---
My developing environment is
OS : SunOS 5.8
JRE : Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_18-b07)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server
VM (build 16.0-b13, mixed mode)
nofiles(descriptors) 256
As shown obove , the value of descriptors is 256 .
My scheduler program executed 300 shell at the same time, in result my program was abnormalily
terminated after doing shell about 180.
the Exception info is

at java.io.File.createTempFile(Unknown Source)
*question : If I continuously request to open a file that go over system limit, is it possible for JVM to be
terminated?
*question : Is there a method that obtains state of System limit in the java library.
*question : what is the best solution to cope with ?
