Jittery images in menu

Never had this problem before. And I've got no idea what else to try.
I'm using a handful of still images in this DVD menu interface. Some are from a digital still camera. Some are video captures. But they're all jittery in the menu — not as I create the DVD — only after I burn it. And they're jittery +on my laptop screen+.
I've made sure the motion attribute isn't longer selected. I brought the images into Photoshop and exported them for video. But the jitteriness is still there. The only thing I haven't done is diminish the sharpness by putting a blur on all the images — it might help but the cost seems too high.
The odd thing is, I don't ever recall this happening before. The menu consists of one large background image and 4 smaller buttons. No text. All the images seem in flux between one field and another. Can't figure how to work around it. Ideas?

the images seem in flux between one field and another.
Try deinterlacing copies of the images in Photoshop to see if this is in fact an issue with the fields.
If your images are now stable, download JES Deinterlacer free, here: http://www.xs4all.nl/~jeschot/home.html and perform a field blend deinterlace on the images, this will give you better results because unlike Photoshop's deinterlace, it does not throw away half of your image.

  • Image Resize Menu not available

According to Mail Help, when I insert an image into an email, there is supposed to be an image resize menu in the lower right portion of the window and a message size indicator in the lower left of the window. Neither of these are appearing for me. I have tried attaching an image in a number of different ways with the "insert attachment at end of message" both on and off. Any ideas out there?

I've got the same problem. It only occurred after upgrading to Leopard.
Before it worked fine. (Leopard is for me not a success on this moment: my pages just stopped working, can't connect via bleutooth to my phone anymore using addressbook, eyeTV also stops at random and restarts are occurring often. I'm starting to get that 'trow this stupid thing out the window' feeling i had during my MS windows era.

  • No Image Size menu or Message Size report in New Message window

    Greetings all,
New iMac user (OS X 10.5.8, Mail 3.6). In scanning Mac Help & the Apple Support forums, I note numerous references for Mail 3.6 to an Image Size Menu button at bottom right of Compose window, and a Message Size window at the bottom left. Have never seen these items. Are they hidden? If so, what is the reveal? Appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

    To All,
After sending in my question, I went back to Mail Help & noticed that images could be attached by dragging from Photo Browser or Desktop or Finder, or by clicking on the 'Paperclip' icon. We had only ever used the 'Paperclip'. Dragged an image from the Photo Browser and both Message Size report & Image Size menu button appeared. Then went back and tried Desktop, Finder & 'Paperclip'. Now, the two items appear, whichever method is used. Doesn't work on all .jpg images, but is sufficient for the need.
Guaranteed that if original question wasn't submitted, never would have found out how it works. Many thanks to Apple Discussions.

  • I can't find the image object menu item when trying to add an image placeholder in dreamweaver cs6

I am new to dreamweaver, and am walking through some tutorials.  I can't seem to find the image object menu item to place a image placeholder on my page.  Any suggestions?  Do I have a setting that is currently hiding its visibility?  Thanks  (I am currently working with dreamweaver cs6)

They removed it in the new Cloud version of DW CS6.

  • 6300 Lost Image Size Menu

For whatever reason, I seem to have LOST two menu items that I know I used to have:
Menu > Messaging > Message settings > Multimedia messages > Img. size (MMS plus)
Menu > Messaging > Message settings > Multimedia messages > Image size (MMS)
Does anyone have any idea where these have gone, and how to restore them? I have tried a factory reset and firmware upgrade to no avail.
    Thanks!
    Simon.

  • Native HDV Jittery Images in Self Contained Movies

    Hello,
I am having problems with HDV footage captured in native HDV 1080i60
When we output footage as Quicktime Self-Contained Movies the result is very JITTERY images.
Whereas when we print to video directly from the timeline, there is no such jittery effect.
We are thinking that it may be a conform problem with the keyframes in self-contained movies.
Any idea why this is occurring?
    Thanks,
    Marc Griffin

I'm having a very similar problem. Here's what I did.
1.) Edit my awesome HDV shot and HDV edited project.
2.) Export as a self-contained movie to transfer to another workstation for printing to video
3.) On other system open self-contained video in FCP and "print to video."
The process completed successfully, but when played back from tape, the footage is jittery. The self contained movie itself plays back fine in quicktime. I was wondering if it has to do with the compression of frames and what fcp does in the conforming process. Would ticking the checkbox "recompress all frames" fix this problem? I have not yet tried that as everything requires rendering. And even on a G5 quad it takes 25+ minutes to render / conform the video.
    Thanks,
    Kjell

  • Problem with Adobe BRIDGE getting Photoshop/Image Processor menu

When I open my drop-down or fly-out menu under TOOLS in Bridge (CS3 version), the entire portion of the menu which is supposed to appear next underneath the Cache line option is missing (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Start Meeting..., Photoshop services).
    What gives?
I'm trying to get to Image Processor under the Photoshop menu option (which is supposed to appear in the Tools drop-down menu).
Please tell me what's wrong. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but there IS no Photoshop subheading in my Tools menu.
That exactly describes the problem I'm having!

  • Header image overlapping menu div tag...

    Hi,
I have decided to play some more with Dreamwaver, and started to build a website in it. So far everything went smooth, but I have to place the menu buttons over the header image (which is the background for my buttons in the same time) and noticed that the same header image is overlapping the menu buttons, but only in the editor mode, when I test the website inside my browser the buttons are visible and are ok.
I have tried to set both in positioning to Absolute, and set the z-index...but in the editor mode the header still overlaps the menu buttons.

  • Image in menu XML file

    Hi,
When i add a menu in SAPBO with my Add-On,
I must have an absolu path to view my bitmap (icon 16*16)Why can not have an relative path ?
    Example :
    This is not OK
    <Menu Checked="0" Enabled="1" FatherUID="43520" String="Service Management" Type="2" UniqueID="MRO_MT" Image=".\Logo.jpg" Position="11">
    This is OK
    <Menu Checked="0" Enabled="1" FatherUID="43520" String="Service Management" Type="2" UniqueID="MRO_MT" Image="D:\Dev\Service Management\Application\bin\Logo.jpg" Position="11">
    Have you an idea ?
    Thanks

    Hi francias
If you have your bitmap in the same directory of aplication in your XML you put:
    Image="Logo.jpg"
If the bitmap is in different you put:
"Imagenes\Logo.jpg" (In this case I have a Image directory)

  • Mystery PSD image in menu

I experimented using a Photoshop Image dropped into a button on the main menu of my project. I didn't like the look, and deleted the button. DVDSP now won't "let go" of that image on the menu. I've tried to delete the asset, and it says it is in use and can't be deleted. Worse, the other buttons I've entered now have parts of that Photoshop image visible when those buttons are in the "highlighted" state, anywhere on the menu.
How do I delete an asset that is not visible, or part of a drop-zone or button?

    Answer to my own question:
    1. Quit DVD Studio Pro.
    2. Move the source PSD file to another location on the drive.
    3. Re-open the DVD Studio Pro project.
    4. When the prompt comes up that indicates that the file is not found, remove the file.

  • Any way to create still image of menu

Is there a way in dvd sp to create a still image of a menu, complete with drop zones, buttons etc? I need something usable at full resolution, not like a screen shot or anything.
Something like the save still feature on a video clip but for a menu?

So I took a screenshot using capture me. The resolution of the image on the dispay ends up being 640 x 480, 4:3 aspect ratio.
If I import that into dvd sp, it doesnt line up quite right, but almost right. its a little thin side to side.
If I resize it in photoshop to 720 x 480, for some reason when I bring it back into dvd sp it doesnt unstretch it, but displays it as a letterbox. The pct file says its using square pixels in photosop so I must be missing something as to why it doesnt resolve back properly. Any ideas?

  • Image as Menu

Hi guys. Can I use image as a menu? And can I swap the image with another one when I move my mouse over the menu? Maybe it acts as button. Can somebody help?
    Thanks.

I was able to use setIcon(...) on a JMenu. setRolloverIcon(..) and setPressedIcon(..) didn't seem to work though.

  • Syslinux on USB not booting Netboot install image (refreshing menu)

I have installed syslinux on a USB thumb drive. It appears to work except when I add the entry for netboot image as seen on site, syslinux appears to just refresh ...
    LABEL archnetboot
MENU LABEL Arch Linux Netboot Environment
    KERNEL /ipxe_text.lkrn
I believe this used to work. Or at least from what I remember I also just copied and paste in the past and it works.

It worked and it is also described to be working here: https://releng.archlinux.org/pxeboot/
However...... For me it is not working anymore either. It seems to fail since the update to syslinux 6.x
Does anyone have an idea how it would be able to fix this so I can boot my VPS system on the remote PXE server like I used to ?

  • Using Photoshop images as menu tabs

I have created a design of several hands in Photoshop.  I would like to use each hand as a menu tab that will 1).  change color on rollover, 2).  show new graphics for subpages, and  3). link each to the respective pages.
Any suggestions on the best way to accomplish this?
Unfortunately, the INSERT IMAGE tab isn't working so I can't send image.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi
You can use default menu or create manual.
    With Default Menu :
    - Change Menu type > All Pages
    - Select Individual Menu Item > Fill with image > Define states
    - Select individual sub menu item > Fill image > Define states
With Manual Menu , it would be similar steps with only difference that you would need to create the menu items and sub menu items , then link them to pages.
You can link them by selecting the pages to link from hyperlink drop down.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • How to deactivate image music menu?

Had to reset my ipod and this image of denise richards? appears all the time (right side of the screen) when I click on the music menu (only music menu). How can I deactivate this picture or even better delete it (no offense denise). many thanks, cm

Go to BIOS (power up the unit and press F2) then press F9 to get default settings.
Then press F10 so save the changes.
BIOS with default settings should not ask for boot device but should switch automatically to possible boot device like ODD or HDD
