Jittery type in CS6 videos?

I love the video capabilities in CS6, but I'm noticing some strange type behaviour in rendered videos, particularly in type in motion.
This is a rough cut of a promotional video I'm putting together in CS6, and if you watch carefully you'll see that the type elements seem as if they've had a caffeine overdose! There's a definite jitter to the type, and I can't seem to get rid of this. I've experimented with various frame rates various output options, but the strangeness in any degree of type motion remains. For my money, this jitter is that pronounced that could could well be a filter effect that in some cases could be useful, but when it occurs by default it's just plain annoying, and wrong!
Any thoughts/ideas anyone?
You can download the rough cut here:

Thanks,
Tim.

Hi Tim,
The antialiasing in text layers can create some jitter for certain antialias settings.
Select the text layer you're animating and choose the Smooth antialias style in the options bar.  This should reduce or eliminate the jitter completely.  Strong antialiasing also works pretty well.
The only other workaround is to rasterize the text layer, but that leads to a resolving issue when animating an up-scaled transform.
Let me know if this works for you!

  • CS6 Video Editing Tutorial Books?

Can anyone recommend good CS6 video editing tutorials? Preferably a book that covers in-depth video editing in PS. (online tutorials would be helpful as well.)
Specifically I want to select portions of a video and cut it out.  (Could be anywhere in the video) Also paste other video segments into another place within a video. Possibly in the beginning, the end or some where in-between.
    Thxs in advance.

  • Photoshop CS6 - Video Editing Facility

Does anybody know if thePhotoshop CS6 (Standard Version) video editor can do the following:-
    Steam video from a camcorder
    Correct camcorder or camera shake
I rang Adobe Customer Services, who transferred me to the "Sales Department", who transferred me to the "Technical Support Department", who in turn transferred me to the "Video Department" and nobody could answer the above questions.
They couldn't even tell me if the capabilities were the same or similar to Premier Elements 10, so how are they going to sell this latest product, when nobody knows anything about it?
I eventually ended up talking to Customer Services AGAIN, who told me to ask on the Forum - hence this question!
    Pam

    Hi Pamela,
Photoshop CS6 Video does not include these features.  If you'd like these included in a future release you could post this request on feedback.photoshop.com, which would allow other users to vote in support of the request.
Note that in version CS6 the video feature is the same for both Standard and Extended (3D features, however, are still not supported in Standard, including 3D animations).

  • Need some tips for premiere cs6 video editing

I have recorded professionally in a sound proof room with a microphone mc's, it's really good video quality and the sound quality is perfect too.
I have recorded with 2 different devices at different angles i'm going to remove sound from both video clips and use the recorded mp3 file made in Adobe Audition CS6 (amazing program) I want to have the 2nd angle recording put in the video so it shows the main video then the 2nd in a little box in the top corner, how can i do this?
Also any tips people can suggest for me on Speedgrade CS6 or After effects CS6 that will improve the viewing experience will be very appreciated.
Last thing playback in Premiere and after effects is very slow, no computer faults my laptop is extremely fast but one thing i've had this laptop about 8 months and not updates the graphics card, would it be that or is there a way to fix this? when i try playblack in after effects it says something like '0.9/29 frames (not real time), i downloaded quicktime i thought this was real time?
    Thank you in advanced

  • What file type is the video that comes with the ipad? Is there a way to transcdibe the audio from a 90 minute interview I just recorded?

What file type is the video that comes with the ipad? Is there a way to transcdibe the audio from a 90 minute interview I just recorded?

    Thank you Menneisyys.
By transcription I mean being able to take what was said in the interview and have those words converted into written text. So I think your second option's a bit closer to what I was looking for.
The inelegant solution would be to buy Dragon Naturally Speaking software, load it up on another computer, stand my i-pad next to it, and have the words transcribed that way - an analog approach, as it were.
O course, I could just spend the next several hours tying up the interview, which is something I kinda hope to avoid.
    Thanks again - Jim

  • Illustrator cs6 video how to

Hey, I've been trying to follow the "how to" videos for the Illustrator CS6 but it just jumps over to the CC videos... Is there any way to find the CS6 videos?
Hola! He estado intentando ver los vídeos "how to" para Illustrator CS6 pero salta a los vídeos de CC... ¿Hay alguna forma de encontrar los vídeos para CS6?

The long and short answer is that you are using the wrong tool, but since you already tried Premiere and were "overwhelmed", well, I guess that settles that. Seems to me you have locked yourself into a corner by habitually using PS for everything, no matter how awkward. It would really be easy to export all your graphics to separate files, import them in Premiere, build a prototype project and then save everything as presets. The same would be true for After Effects. In fact you could probably create a lot of stuff even natively in both programs using the titler tool or effects... Also what you describe is exactly what tools like Camtasia Studio also do automatically based on the mouse and keyboard data recorded during the session. I know it's not what you wanna hear, but it seems to me you are really using the wrong set of tools... As for solutions in PS - perhaps there's a way to get the edit points with scripting and then apply transitions automatically, but that's most likely as good as it gets...

Ach so!

    mon processeur : Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU B950 @ 2.10GHz
    Mémoire installé (RAM) 4,00 Go

  • Photoshop CS6 Video - how to Apply Many Transitions Efficiently ?

Hello, i edit lots of software video tutorials inside Photoshop CS6 and overlay the videos with lots of red circles and keyboard keys. All these overlays need a short fade-in and fade-out. How can i apply these fade-ins and fade-outs more efficiently?
So far i only can do like this:
    - If have to drag every single fade-in and every single fade-out to every single object, these are two actions per object. I believe there is no keyboard command for this and also i cannot create my own keyboard command here.
    - Often i *copy* an object with Ctrl-J which already *has* the fade-in and fade-out. But the newly *copied object* does *not* sport the fade-in and fade-out; so i have to apply those manually again.
Is there any way to speed up the procedure of applying transitions? (Bulk-apply transitions? Keyboard ways?)
I already tried to activate the special time-frame keyboard commands. But i believe it doesn't help with the task i described (applying transitions). What's more, with special time-frame keyboard commands active, the arrow keys get new tasks then; but i need the arrow keys for *regular* keyboard commands in connection with the move tool (to precisely move the overlay objects to their desired position).
    Any hints would be great!
    More generally:
If you know any *advanced* tutorials on video in Photoshop CS6 (written or video), i would be interested. I am very familiar with general Photoshop including general video there. I don't need any introduction.
I have also tried to do my tasks in Premiere Pro CS6, but found it a bit overwhelming and went back to edit the video tuts in Photoshop. Even though after some getting-used-to-it, Premiere might be better for me. I *do* have to import lots of smart-objects and vector-objects with transparency from Photoshop all the time, and Photoshop is my natural habitat.
    Thanks for all suggestions!

  • Transitions not working in Premiere CS6.Video was color corrected in AE 6 and sent back to PPro cs6.

I exported my film to AE6 from Premiere CS6 for color-correction and got it back to Premiere Pro through DYNAMIC LINK.Now,the problem is that AE has discarded all the transitions and also cross-dissolve and film-dissolve don't seem to work on this color-corrected video.I am able to apply the transitions but they don't work....somebody please help!

As Jim said, not all effects and transitions are properly translated when you replace a group of clips with dynamically linked AE composition. Actually you should have noticed that your cross-dissolves etc. had been replaced with black solid layers in After Effects, which didn't reflect your PrPro transitions.
Now you can jump back to your AE project and fix broken transitions there.
For your future work you should keep it in mind and decide whether to replace a group of clips (and, therefore, fix broken transitions in After Effects) or a single clip, taking care of its handles.

  • Stereoscopic (3D), embedding the 'type' in a video

    Hey all,
I've read in some forums (makemkv, xbmc) that there are headers you can put in a MP4 that will tell the TV which type of stereoscopic is being used (top and bottom, side by side, interleave, etc). Does anyone have experience with which containers/codecs can have this information embedded and what apps I may need to get this done?
There was a link in their forums to a youtube MP4 that triggers a TV when played via a media device. Either a PS3, XBox, Popcorn Hour, HTPC, etc. After the MP4 H264 started playback the TV appropriately received the correct type of 3D in use. I'd really like to implement this in some fun I'm having with the 3d rigging system in AE.
Does anyone know how to embed this in the headers or metadata of the video? Thanks!

    Hello allaboutjeeps,
The easiest Way to achieve this is to build the layout in VIEW including the MAP object, and then selecting the "Transfer to Report" icon in the toolbar
The result in REPORT will look like this:

  • Jittery (less than smooth) video with Final Fantasy XI

Is anyone else out there playing Final Fantasy XI?
My game play seems a little jittery.  Not quite as smooth as I'd expect it to be.  I I don't know that much about computer video, so i'll try my best to describe it.  it's almost like if you were watching a movie and it was only showing you every 4th or 5th frame, so the motion looks "jumpy" or "jittery".  when i go into menus during the game and have to use the mouse, i get the same thing, like the mouse pointer is kinda dragging behind where i am actually pointing the mouse.  I'm pretty sure my system specs should be able to handle this game no problem, but i'm not sure.  64MB is the recommended memory for this game, and they also recommend the Gforce cards.  would there be any problem with the Athlon 2400+ not being able to handle it?  i sure wouldn't think so.  is there anything i need to adjust to make this game run smoother?
    - kip
an edit/update...  the resolution i had the game set to play at was 1024, i bumped it down to 512 (there are no settings in between), and now the video and mouse action is much smoother, but i thought for sure my 64mb agp card could handle a game like this...  could it be a setting of some sort that i am missing?  i can play the game at 512, but of course the graphics suffer a lot at this lower resolution.

Please anyone who reads this and is considering a 5200 .. Dont.. they are unstable, they are slow, they are.. lol the list goes on... you can Kill an Oced 5200 with a standard ti4200.. i dont understand why MSI even MAKES these cards but, i guess they have to appease the market demand.. "does anyone really DEMAND to have a card that sucks??"
anyway .. without malice or forthought of intent i can only say buy 256-bit core chips or youll be sorry ..
PS I suppose it could look like im flaming a bit here but im not .. honest.. ive been using MSI Video for 3 yasuras now..
Its just after seeing all the posts and not having met one person who likes their 5200 {in life or online}   drives me to post this..
