Jittery unresponsive iPad screen

Hello folks,
I recently bought refurbished iPad (64Gb wi-fi only). Its been less than a month and since morning the screen is jittery and unresponsive. I googled and found another thread on this community. So far no help from that thread.
I am just wondering if anybody has a solution. The thread claims that its a hardware problem but I am not too sure. I tried to reset using iTunes but updated OS to 5.0 instead and the issue persists.
Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. If I have to go to Apple Store, I have a screen protector on, does that void warranty any way?

Just wanted to update the thread in case anyone has same problem.
I turned off the iPad for 2 days and left it on the shelf. Went to Apple Store and alls fine.
So I have no clue what was going on but it fixed itself.

    Have you tried rebooting, resetting all settings or restoring the iPad? It could very well be a problem with the screen that no software solution can solve, but give those a try.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
    You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.

  • My IPAD screen shows a bunch of lines then goes black

    When I turned on my IPAD2 the screen showed a series of different color lines, then went black
