Jlaunch consumes lot of resources after upgrade

hi,
After upgrading our XI system from NW700 SP15 to EHP1 701 SP5 we find that the Jlauch is constantly using around 60% of the CPU and degrades the system performance. Has anyone experience this before?

Thank you

I have seen cases where JSPM consumes lot of CPU resource . Do you have any JSPM session open . IF yes try closing it.
Thanks,
Gerard

  • Lots of problems after upgrading to ITunes 7.0.1.8 - BE CAREFUL !!!!!

Before upgrading to version 7.x of ITunes read the various posts here about issues people have had. It seems that not everyone will have the SAME problems (very unpredictable results). I did not have the same problems that others had, but I did have my own set of problems.
This version of ITunes is NOT of the normal high standard that we have come to appreciate from Apple (in fact it is more like the poor standard that people have come to expect from MicroSoft).
Here are the problems I had after upgrading to version 7.0.1.08:
    1) All 18000 songs could not be found in the library. It took 2 hours for ITunes to determine this. The reason for this is that after the install my preferrences for my ITunes library were changed from what I had previously set to the standard c:/my documents/my music/itunes..... No previous upgrade had done this.
    2) All my streaming radio stations where deleted.
    3) During the installation process my hard drive was scanned and all music files that were NOT in my ITunes library where added to the library. I had no choice in this. This took me 8 hours to manually recover from this - and delete all those I did NOT want in my ITunes library.
    4) All 40 odd smart playlists were deleted and I had to recreate them manually.
    5) For all tunes that I had applied a "My Rating" to the "My Rating" information was deleted.
    6) During the install process it seems that my entire ITUNES library was re-organised, resulting in a large number of songs that can no longer be found and a large number that have been duplicated.
    7) Since the upgrade, ITunes does not always start successfully.
    8) Since the upgrade, my 60gb IPOD is NOT always recognised and when it is recognised, there are about 300 songs that will NOT transfer to the IPOD. There does not seem to be a reasonable explation for this at this stage.
9 All the fields I has previously inlcuded in my display were changed and it looks like a STANDARD set of fields was applied to the various views.
    10) It has taken 2 entire days (since the upgrade) to re-organise my ITunes library (and my computer) back to the way I WANT it. After this I am still having problems with the IPOD not being recongnised and I still can't get all songs to synch.
I have posted this as a warning to others.
I do NOT need or WANT responses along the lines of previous posts that say that people are attacking APPLE for no vailid reason or that this is a MICROSOFT problem.
This is just posted so that people can make an informed decission before upgrading.

Thank you for describing the problems so well. I also have been going nuts trying to restore my Itunes Library to its original (or acceptable) condition. I have a 5th gen 30G Video with about 4250 songs on it. After downloading 7 I found that every song in my Library had been dulplicated or triplicated. Then, a day latr, when I had downloaded album art, I discovered that every other song in any album I had downloaded (from Itunes or my own cd)prior to perhaps version 5 or version 6 could not be found. Luckily, I had an generation 4 Ipod with the original Library and I was able to download that to my external harddrive. I have spending pointless, arduous hours pointing Itunes to the correct file. Its faster to re-download the CD. Of course, I can't do that for any music I had bought from Itunes directly. Its weird because the name of the song is in Itunes, just the file can't be found. And why every other file? When I go into earlier (6 and before)Itunes Libraries, the music files are missing from them. Where did they go? When I try to sync my Ipod with Itunes, it takes forever because Itunes is searching for the missing files. I have tried to ask Apple support directly but I have gotten no response. Very, very frustrating! Any headway with your problems? Lisa

  • After upgrading to OS X Mavericks syslogd needs lot of memory and cpu, system is very slow

After upgrading to OS X Mavericks the system is very slow. securityd and syslogd are using 50% of cpu and memory is also used by syslogd and kerneltask (8 GB out of 12). After rebooting the system it runs very well, a view days later (without reboot, only hibernating) the situation is the same.
Looks like a problem in OS X. Any solutions?

I haven't worked out the LDAP messages but I noticed at other times I was seeing lots of album art messages from BlackBerry desktop. I'd already uninstalled the app but it still had processes running. I followed this link to remove completely; http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/57023/how-to-uninstall-completely-black berry-device-manager
CPU levels have been noticeably lower ever since.

Is there a resource where I can see if my older versions of applications will work after upgrading to 10.8 from 10.6.8?  I have some older Mac apps as well as things like Microsoft word and Adobe professional. I know PowerPC apps won't work, but I can't tell by the version numbers if they are PPC or Intel.

  • After upgrading to IOS 8, several functions doesen´t work on my iPhone 5. Like mail, safari, maps, messages and a lot of other things

After upgrading to IOS 8 several things on my iPhone 5 stop working, like safari, maps, mail, messages. When you go in on these apps they only shut down. How can i fix this?

Update: my phone's connecting to the WiFi again. I don't know what did the trick. I did nothing since reinstalling the software. It hadn't worked then, it is now. I tried connecting to my dad's phone's hotspot( he uses a Moto G), and it worked. I then tried connecting to the WiFi at a friend's house, and when I came back home, my phone was able to connect to my WiFi! Is it of any significance that my friend's router doesn't require a password? My issue has been resolved( for now; I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they've hatched). For anyone facing a similar issue, I suggest you try everything I did:
    1. Turn your router off for a minimum of 30 seconds, turn it back on and try connecting.
    2. Click on the WiFi network you are connected to, scroll to the bottom, tap "Renew Lease".
    3. Do a soft and hard reset.
    4. Reset network settings.
    5. Back your data up, erase all content from settings menu, restore from backup.
    6. Reinstall your software( put it in recovery mode).
I am not sure which of the above worked for me. Make sure you try everything. If none of the above works, take it to a genius bar or an authorised service provider. Good luck! :)

  • Firefox will lot load web pages after upgrading to version 3.6.6

After loading 3.6.6 I can no longer access the internet. Norton Internet Security 2010 has quarantined 3 Firefox files: nssdbm3.dll, freebl3.dll, softokn3.dll
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== I upgraded to 3.6.6. Firefox worked fine prior to upgrade. After upgrade, Norton told me there was a security incident and I needed to reboot. I have not been able to use Firefox since rebooting.

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't have to process the php, it just has to show the HTML content. It did that just fine before the last upgrade but won't now.
I've seen that page you referenced: http://kb.mozillazine.org/File_types_and_download_actions.
It doesn't help. The things it says to look for aren't there for me, specifically:
    browser.download.pluginOverrideTypes
    plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types
I followed the rest of the instructions but it didn't help.
I did get it to quit opening tabs, instead it prompts me what it should do with the file every time now. What it should do, and used to do, is open the php page and display the HTML content.
    Any other ideas?

  • [SOLVED] Key characters wrong after upgrade

Using Sony Vaio Pro after upgrade to 3.11.1-1-ARCH I can only type some keys while holding down "Fn" key. Seems my keymap is incorrect.
e.g when i type the 'p' key i get '*'. I have to hold 'Fn' key to get the 'p'. But 'd' wont display anything at all when 'Fn' is pressed. Very hard to type
    However:

bump. Really need some help on this
Since last post I found and read a number of posts relating to HOOKS. Mr Elendig got me thinking that it wasn't an X issue but a system issue.
    So....
I put 'keyboard' and 'keymap' hook both before and after 'autodetect' in mkinitcpio.conf and ran
    # mkinitcpio -p linux
    That didn't work.
I implemented an ~/.Xmodmap file and updated my ~/.Xinitrc according to the wiki.
    That didn't work in Fluxbox.
I changed keyboard to 'fr' then back to 'us' both in console and in vconsole.conf.
    That didn't work
    BUT THEN.....I added
    FONT_MAP=8859_to_uni
to my vconsole.conf 'rebooted' and everything worked!! Awesome, right? No.
    Because then I
    # poweroff
and turned on again and came back to the tty login prompt and the keys were wrong again.
    I removed
    FONT_MAP=8859_to_uni
from vconsole.conf, rebooted, then put it back in, rebooted and there was no change.
    I then added
    FONT_MAP=8859_to_uni
to the boot prompt line before booting.
    That didn't work.
I also read a post where someone created the LiveUSB on a different computer and this was thought to be the cause of some of their problems after they upgraded the 'linux' pacakge using 'pacman'. I created my LiveUSB on a Fedora 19 system. Not sure if that could be the problem.
Last night I upgraded to Linux 3.11.3-1-ARCH in a hope against hope that would sort things out.
    It didn't
I'm new to Linux and have learnt a lot through my Arch Linux install which has been great. I really would like to avoid a fresh install using an Arch Linux created LiveUSB but at the moment that's what I'm looking at unless someone can help me out.
    Thanks in advance.
