JMS Clustering and JBoss JTA support for 10.1.3

I would like to migrate my codebase to 10.1.3dp3r2 and have noticed that the framework for clustering (cache coordination) and JTA have changed significantly.
The documentation appears to have headers for these subjects, but there is very little information on how to migrate both of these features over.
I've scanned this forum and the website, but I can't find any tutorials. Are there any resources available?

    Is there any consequences or problems or difference in using the JMS scenario in J2SE AE and J2EE AE?

  • Netflix and lack of support for iPhone

    Is it just me? I've been trying to stream a movie via netflix on the iPhone 4, however, every time it starts saying Loading Movie... it sort of "crashes" back to the video selection screen. Of course my first thought is to search every support and search engine known to man but that yielded no results. Netflix has no support for the iPhone app on their website at all, why release something when there's no support, isn't that called a beta? Please help if anybody has experienced this problem. Thank you in advance.

    I have the same exact problem on my iPod Touch 3rd gen 32GB. On my iPhone 3GS however on the same wifi network everything works fine.
    When the iPod Touch first boots up I get the Alert: "Cannot reach netflix.com. Please try again later." (subsequent times, this error is not shown, but the movies still do not play) Pressing ok continues to launch Netflix and shows movie "Like"s and selecting Instant Queue menu has no problem showing my own Instant Queue. The problem occurs when you attempt to Play a movie. Pressing Play results in a message "loading...", then for a brief second the Netflix landscape red screen appears and returns back to where I pressed the Play button.
    Tried updating to 4.1 and tried reinstalling Netflix without any luck.

    I love the way she brushes you off with a 'swap PCI cards and reload the drivers.' The thing that's so frustrating is that she knows **bleep* good and well that it's not going to fix the problem, yet she has the cold heart to send you off to perform an hour worth of work for no good reason. If creative cares this little about its users, then I'll be sure to never use them again. I've used Sound Blaster cards since the old ORIGINAL 8-bit sound card, a full length 8-bit ISA card in a 286. They've made a lot of money off of me, but their greed and lack of support has ensured I will never buy another product from them again. Note... my issue is the 'switching between Mic-In and Digial I/O every time the PC is rebooted' problem.     adam2hick: First off, please leave the foul language off the forums. The censor is there for a reason, work-around it again and you'll probably be banned.
    Next, Our advisors don't just send customers off on random tasks. I was a phone advisor here once, and I can tell you that doesn't happen. If she sent you to do something like that, then likely someone has managed to fix the problem that way before. Just because a particular fix doesn't work for you, doesn't mean it doesn't work. Computers are like that sometimes.
    And finally, generally when I have run into issues with settings reverting themselves after a reboot, I find it's the antivirus programs causing the issue. Windows (and the CL sound manager in this case too) stores it's settings in the registry. Certain antivirus programs (not all of them, just the pain-in-the-butt ones) often block that by changing the registry back when Windows boots up. So any settings stored there are lost, often wit h the effects you are having.
    I can't promise this will fix it in your case, it has merely worked for me repeatedly in the past for other customers. Just check your antivirus software's settings for any kind of "registry protection" and turn it off. If you can't find any, try uninstalling your antivirus/spyware protection, reboot, change that setting, reboot again, and see if the problem went away. If it did, you can narrow down what program may be causing it.

              of an issue. In either case, MDBs can
              be run in a seperate cluster than JMS -

  • Airport problem with iMAC 27" and serious service support for indonesia

    i can't seem to get any help from anywhere else. so i try to post it here.
    i tried to call the apple store (indonesia) which i bought this imac 27" from. got transfered 4 times and i had to explain it to them all over. in the end i got to speak to the technician and i asked whether i can get a replacement and they don't think it's the correct solution and leave me hanging here.

    i called the apple support on the apple.com (0018 03061 2009 for indonesia) today wednesday 19 may 2010, time 1:12pm indonesia local time (GMT +7) i didn't get the guy's name but i can tell he's Indian from the accent, i told him what the problem is, he told me to wait, i waited for 10 minutes and he hung up on me at 1:24pm. please check on the record, because i was told the whole conversation was recorded.
    so, let's go to the problem:
    i can't share my internet with airport built-in in my imac 27".
    I'm using ZTE usb hsdpa modem connected to the imac. (fyi, my friend is using the same exact modem and internet provider and don't have any problems with internet sharing using his macbook)
    i tried to share the internet through the airport express simply with these steps:
    1. open the system preferences, internet sharing,
    2. connection with "ZTE usb modem", and the box next to "Airport" is ticked
    3. turn on the internet sharing
    4. press start
    5. yes the firewall is off.
    and these are what i'm having right now:
    1. the airport symbol wont turn into an arrow
    2. when i open the network preferences, it says: AirPort is turned on but is not connected to a network. (color is orange not green)
    3. i searched the wireless network with my ipod touch and i found nothing
    4. if i try to "create a network" here's what it says "There was an error creating your computer-to-computer network."
    5. this are the details on the airport card:

    If you have anything configured in System Preferences/Network/Airport then you have conflicts configured into the network. I suggest that you start from the beginning. Do not assume anything. Do not take any short cuts. Start fresh.
    Go to Sys Prefs/Sharing turn off Internet Sharing. Go to Sys Prefs/Network, highlight AirPort and press the - symbol below to remove the AirPort interface. Now press the + symbol and create a new AirPort Interface. In the new AirPort interface do not turn on AirPort. You should only select the box to show AirPort Status in the menu bar. Now press Apply.
    Go to Sys Prefs/Sharing and follow the steps 1 through 11 in my first post.
    In step 11 Sys Prefs should ask you to turn on AirPort. Turn it on. It should next ask you to start Internet Sharing. Start Internet Sharing.
    The AirPort Status in the menu bar should show AirPort is on and have an arrow pointing up. In the AirPort Status dropdown menu it should show AirPort is ON, Internet Sharing is ON and it should show the name of the Internet Sharing network that you created.

  • Upgrading to Mountain Lion and lack of support for Power PC Applications

    I have been reading with interest the comments and questions about this. 
    I am a bit of a novice with pc/mac terminology so was baffled to receive the message about Power PC Applications.  I merely upgraded to Lion thinking it would be great to have the latest software on my Mac but am now unable to log into work remotely.
    I log in using "Cryptocard" software and tokens.  Does anyone have any experience of getting around the power pc application issue using the Cryptocard software?  I an hoping I wont need to revert back to the previous software after spending £13 upgrading it!

    I have no experience with Cryptocards, but,
    Workarounds:
    1.  Revert to the original OS X that was operating on your Mac;
    2.  Upgrade your PowerPC applications to Intel versions;
    3.  Replace your software with alternatives that work in Lion;
    4.  Partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it and use the "dual-boot" system to run your PPC applications but not concurrently with Lion; or
    5.  Do what I do, install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels in Lion:

  • Why no email addy for firefox, and why no support for firefox

    moving shortly to chrome or any browser that does have an email addy and does support its product. since the latest update firefox comes up with "not responding" after every page or click on screen, however as their is no email to write to in order to find out whats gone wrong, then it shows that firefox have no confidence in their own product as they refuse to respond or have a contact us email addy. mind you its nice to know that this has happened before firefox 4 appeared as that will be even more hopeless if the latest update is anything to go by. should think that ie will be overjoyed at the large numbers coming back to them due to firefox's untested updates that kill firefox.

  • Camera Raw CC and CS6 and Lightroom 5 Support for Canon SX60 Canon 7D Mark II

    I have just bought my wife Canon SX60 and loaded pictures into Bridge and saw that Camera Raw does not recognize Canon SX60 CR2s. I checked the supported cameras and saw SX60 is not in the list. I will be purchasing a Canon 7D Mark II on Tuesday and see that it is also not supported. I saw in a forum post that the 7D is not in the current Camera 8.7 but will be part of the Camera Raw 8.7 "production release". I currently have Photoshop CC, Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 5 will both cameras be supported in the next "production version" of Camera Raw and Lightroom 5 and when is it scheduled for release (I saw some thoughts that it would be by the end of year but was hopefully we can get a more definitive date).

    It has been indicated that both of those cameras will be supported in the final release of Camera Raw 8.7. But there is no announced release date. There never is. I assume it will be before December 31. But that is only my guess based on the fact that the release candidate expires then.

  • CUCM and Unity LDAP Support for Server 2008 R2

    I am planning on upgrading our Primary DC from Server 2003 Standard to Server 2008 R2.  We current have 2 CUCM's version 7.1.5.31900-3 and 1 Cisco Unity version 7.0 (2).  Both reference LDAP and/or GC.  I need to know will everything break once I demote the 2003 DC.  I already have one 2008 R2 domain controller in place.  Also is the 2008 R2 domain functional level supported?

    The directory hierachy for a backup taken using windows server backup will be something like this:
    \WindowsImageBackup\<ServerName>\<Backup datetime>\<guid name>.vhd file along with some xml config files.
    The directory heirachy above suggests the backup was not taken using Windows Server Backup, at least directly, if it is taken using some software scripted over windows server backup, the .chm file may belong to that software.
    The .vhd file created by windows server backup is not mountable in readonly mode, it is mountable in readwrite mode only.

    Read the slightly newer topic by Pat Gilmour "Lumix DMC-LX1 RAW......" and you can see it is feasible, if not convenient. Note that for the LX2 you have to follow the instructions for the LX1 but write LX2 instead. It works a beauty for me

    I agree with you but, nokia is starting their own email, problem is MFE & Nokia email doesnt support multiple email accounts, at one stage you really want few mail id's like personal, currently official, future official, etc. BB supports multiple email accounts at one go. So I strongly agree that Nokia should act now and get BB in all their new e-series phone.

    I've been using Firefox since version 1 and it's always been my #1 web browser of choice. Since version 4, Firefox has become my #3 browser of choice, behind Safari & Chrome. I would like FF to go back to being #1, because frankly FF 4 & FF 5 have been a royal pain in the a$$.
    Since FF 4, my SEO for Firefox plugin has not worked properly. Since FF 5, the Google Toolbar has not worked ... probably soon to have a fix, I'm sure.

    So it really depends. If you have an "early 2008" MBP as follows:

    Sudden Motion Sensor:

    Then the disk from an equivalent Mac Pro (needs to be of similar vintage) may help you. But if you have once of the newer models ("late 2008") this has an nVidia chipset in it and the drivers for that may not be on the Mac Pro.
    You'll need 64bit drivers for the nVidia chipset for this to work.
    A side note is that the EFI implementation on the "Early 2008" MPB might well be 32 bit, so it's debatable if you get the full advantage of 64bit Vista in terms of performance. It worked for me, but YMMV. In any case when Windows 7 ships, my Macs will mostly be in "Legacy" mode.
