JMS Deserialization Error

Hi,
I am encountering the JMS Exception 'Error deserializing object'. I do not have
the stack trace. The same code works perfectly fine 99% of the time. It throws
exception at random very rarely.
Can anyone help me with the possible causes of this exception.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Gordon,
I'm getting the EXACT same problem . were you able to resolve this problem . please let me know what the soln is
thanks

  • Need suggestion on  implementing JMS message error recovery

    Hi,
    Our application has a JMS topic where we publish application events. Now, there can be scenarios where the consumers cannot process the message due to some infrastructure issues and would error out. We need a way so that those messages can be reprocessed again later. we are thinking of the following design for JMS message error recovery
    1. Use a persistent TOPIC (this would ensure guaranteed delivery)
    2. Configure a error destination on JMS topic e.g a jms queue
    3. Have an error handling MDB listening to the Error destination. An error handling MDB would dequeue the errored messages from error destination and persist it to a Data base "error" table..
    4. Provide a mechanism to republish those messages to topic (e.g a scheduler or admin ui or a command line utility) .. The messages would deleted from database "error" table and published to topic again....
    A. Are there any issues with the above design which we need to handle?
    B. Are there any additional steps required in a Cluster environment with a distributed topic and distribute error destination? (our error mdb will have one-copy-per-application setting)
    B. From a performance angle, Is it OK to use persistent TOPIC ? Or will it better to persist the message to the db table and then publish it as a non persistent message ... ? (But i guess the performance should be more or less the same in both of these approaches)
    C. Are there any other recommended design patterns for error recovery of JMS messages
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Arif

    Thanks Tom !
    We may not be able to go with the approach of delaying/pausing redelivery of the messsage because
    1. Pausing entire MDB approach: Our MDB application consumes messages generated by different producers and our MDB needs to continue processing the messages even if messages corresponding to one producer is erroring out
    2. Redelivery delay : This would only delay the retry of an errored message. But there would still be a problem if the message fails during all retries (i.e redelivery limit count). We don't want to lose this message. In our case, It is possible that a particular message cannot be processed due to unavailability of a third party system for hours or may be a day.
    Basically, i am looking on approaches for a robust and performant error recovery/retry framework for our application (refer details in my first post on this thread) while fully making use of all features provided by middleware (WLS). Please advise.

    Arif

  • Deserialization Error while connecting to web service

    I am getting a deserialization error while connecting to a web service.
    Deserializing parameter 'ScheduleReceiveService': could not find deserializer for type {http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema}anyType...
    There are two methods ex
    UserDefinedClass1 methodA(java.lang.Object ) and
    UserDefinedClass2 methodB(UserDefinedClass3)
    And when i generate java files using WSDL2Java using apache axis the UserDefinedClass is generated as follows.
    public class UserDefinedClassA implements java.io.Serializable {
    private java.lang.Object _return;
    // There are other methods for setting the attributes,hashCode,equals etc
    Now when i try to invoke the method from the client i get this as an error ?
    Deserializing parameter 'UserDefinedClass': could not find deserializer for type {http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema}anyType
    Appreciate any suggestion.

    Hi Manohara,
    To download the file from SharePoint, I recommend to use the credential for a user who can access the file in SharePoint in the client object model.
    NetworkCredential credentials = new NetworkCredential(“username”, “pwd”, “domain”);
    ClientContext context = new ClientContext(“http://thesitecollection”);
    context.Credentials = credentials;
    Best regards.

  • Deserialization Error while invoking web service from JDeveloper 10g

    When we tried to invoke a web service from JDeveloper version 10.1.3.4.0.4270, we got deserialization error.Here are the steps that we did to invoke the web service.
    1. Using WSDL URL, downloaded WSDL file and associated XSD files into local machine using wsa.jar utility.
    2. Using JDeveloper, created web service proxy project by referring the local WSDL file.Proxy got generated successfully.
    3. Secured the proxy using "secure proxy" option.
    4. Assigned all required values for parameters for web method.
    5. When tried to invoke the web service, got deserialization error.

    We think that the exact cause for the problem is as follows.
    1. If we check the XSD file corresponds to response object, for one of the element, the type is decimal
    <xsd:element minOccurs="0" name="ParentValueSetId" nillable="true" type="xsd:decimal"/>
    2. In the SOAP response, this element is empty so during deserialization, the numer format exception occurred in LiteralSimpleTypeSerializer class.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • XML Deserialization error while consuming Enterprise service in wd java..

    Hello,
    I am trying to build 2 webdynpro java webdynpro applications which consumes enterprise service for purchase order and another application for Busines partner.
    While i was able to successfully consume the PO service in webdynpro java and get the desired output for PO..i get XML Deserialization error while running appliation for Business Partner..
    These are the details/steps i followed for the Business Partner application:
    1. After creating the model using the enterprise service, i created a service controller from the model to the component controller..
    2. Out of many inputs/output attributes during mapping from model to component controller. i further mapped the context from CC to ViewC.
    3. In the wdDoInit() method, i added the follwing code:
        BPCreate model1 = new BPCreate();
        Request_BusinessPartnerERPCreateRequestConfirmation_In RequestC = new  Request_BusinessPartnerERPCreateRequestConfirmation_In(model1);
        BPERPCrteReqMsg_S CreateMessage = new BPERPCrteReqMsg_S(model1);
        BPERPCrteReq_SBP Cpartner = new BPERPCrteReq_SBP(model1);
    String Category = new String();
        String lf = new String();
        Cpartner.setInternalID(new String());
        Cpartner.setNumberRangeIntervalBusinessPartnerGroupCode(new String());
        Cpartner.setLifeCycleStatusCode(lf);
        Cpartner.setCategoryCode(Category);
        CreateMessage.setBusinessPartner(Cpartner);
        RequestC.setBusinessPartnerERPCreateRequestMessage_Sync(CreateMessage);
        wdContext.nodeBusinessPartnerERPCreateRequestMessage_Sync().bind(CreateMessage);
    4. When i comment this code and run the application, the aplication comes up but the input fields are non-editable..
    5. If i place this code in wdDoInit() method, i get the Deserialization error..
    Any idea about why this error occurs and which areas in the application can lead to these errors?
    I checked that the service runs fine in soamanager.
    Thanks, JVR

    Hi Kishore,
    This error is majorly because while executing this Webdynpro application you are not entering all the mandatory fileds of WS.
    Please try to execute this WS from WS-Navigator, check which fileds are mandatory and then
    appropriately instantiate it in wdDoInit and pass all the fields required.

    Sounds like the xml you are sending is not well-formed. Please start with simple xml documents to see if it works.

  • XML message as input for webservice gives deserialization error

    Hi,
    jDeveloper 10.1.3
    BPEL PM 10.1.2.0.2
    Carrental example
    Problem:
    For the Business Rule Engine I did the Carrental XML example. Based on the java application that connects to the BR engine, I created a webservice in jDeveloper and deployed it to my localhost AS 10.1.3. The webservice has a testRule method that accepts a String buf as input. For now, the only thing the webservice does is return a 'do nothing' string. This works fine:
    When deployed the testpage generates the following SOAP message:
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <soap:Body xmlns:ns1="http://carrental/types/">
    <ns1:testRuleElement>
    <ns1:buf>my xml message</ns1:buf>
    </ns1:testRuleElement>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    The SOAP response is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:ns0="http://carrental/types/"><env:Body><ns0:testRuleResponseElement><ns0:result>do nothing...</ns0:result></ns0:testRuleResponseElement></env:Body></env:Envelope>
    In BPEL Designer I create a new asynchronous process ValidateBR, with a partnerlink for the webservice, based on the following WSDL file:
    <definitions
    name="Rent"
    targetNamespace="http://carrental/"

    Hi,
    Reading only is not possible..
    I will be still more clear in my question this time..
    I have deployed my bpel. My receiveInputVariable is of type xsd:string.
    So when i run the bpel in my console, i will be asked to give input as string data.
    So when i go to the XMLView, it will be like this.
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
         <soap:Body xmlns:ns1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Sabari_POC_Appln/DOM_Parser/ConvertToBLOB">
              <ns1:process>
                   <ns1:input></ns1:input>
    </ns1:process>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    Now, i am going to give my input like this. --- which leads to error.
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
         <soap:Body xmlns:ns1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Sabari_POC_Appln/DOM_Parser/ConvertToBLOB">

    *</project>*
    *</projects>*
    </ns1:input>
    </ns1:process>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    This xml is not accepted as string input.. so kindly suggest me some other solution.
    I also tried.. like.. making my receiveInputVariable of type xsd:anyType, it also dint help. same error occurred.

  • Web Service: XMLUnmarshalException: XML Deserialization Error

    Hi,
    I am trying to use a complex web structure in web service.
    I am simply trying to display some data from that web service in my view.
    I am getting the foll error:
    <b>
    Service call exception; nested exception is:
         com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.XmlUnmarshalException: XML Deserialization Error. XML is not valid. Element [http://www.siebel.com/xml/Account Interface]<Account> is required in <SiebelMessage> but can not be found.[Ljava.lang.StackTraceElement;@2fe4e7
    </b>
    I have gone thru most of the posts but they all have XMLMarshalException and not XMLUnmarshalException.
    Any inputs please?
    Regards,
    Dev

    Hi Bala,
    I tried your suggestion but that did not work!
    I am not trying to test that web service via WSNavigator.
    Problem is my service does not come there once i deploy it.
    I am a newbie to WebServices so please correct me where am I wrong in these steps:
    1. I create a Deployable Proxy Project
    2. Then, i create a new Client Proxy Definition
    3. I enter pkg name, Proxy name, choose Local System. Then i give the WSDL location and finally press Finish.
    (It has created several files including ClientAPI.jar)
    4. Lastly, i chose Build EAR and deployed it.
    But i cannot see my web service in that list!
    Can you please help me in checking the request-response cycle for this web service.

    Dev

  • Deserialization error [Causes and Cure]

    Hi all,
    What is meant by "desearilizing error" ? Please provide information or links on this.
    And what should be done inorder to overcome it.
    I have a client proxy in SAP and i am trying to consume a WEB SERVICE from .NET.
    The services has 1 input parameter which is String datatype.
    But when i test it i am getting Deserializing Error as
    'CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_DATE_TIME:XSLT exception'.
    Please help. I am on the end of my wits :).
    Thanks & Regards.
    Yats.

    Question: what is DESERIALIZATION ERROR
    Answer: When you get the replay from .NET server, it is an XML document that needs to be converted into ABAP objects. The ABAP proxy tries to parse that XML and populate the ABAP objects -- this is called DESERIALIZATION.
    The way ABAP proxy parses the XML response from a remote server depends on what is the XML "structure" it was programmed to expect. That "structure" is described in XSD part of WSDL. If you manually trim WSDL, the inner XSD (schema) definition may be compromised, and although you successfully create the proxies, yet those proxies would be expecting a slightly different structure of XML streams. Hence when the XML stream comes in, and the proxy tried to de-serialize (parse) to create ABAP object, it fails. This is called DESERIALIZATION ERROR.
    You mentioned that you could successfully get a single record, while when multiple records came from server, it failed.
    This happens because XSD schema is telling the proxy generator to somehow expect a single record, instead of creating a collection (Array) of records -- again a schema mismatch.
    Solution: You need to analyze the incoming stream of XML through a tool e.g. Altoa XML Spy. That way you would figure out if the incoming stream is according to the trimmed WSDL you used to create you ABAP proxies.

  • JMS adapter error in MQSeries connection

    Dear All,
    i am getting the below error in Communicatin Channel Monitoring for my sender JMS adapter:

    i have written '<IP_ADRESS>:<MQ_QUEUE_MANAGER>' just to hide the data - i am getting <IP_ADRESS> as IP Adress i gave in JMS adapter and <MQ_QUEUE_MANAGER> as Queue Manager i gave in JMS adapter.
    i am using the correct IP and 1414 port of MQSeries server. I have used a MQQueueManager defined in MQSeries. i have deployed JMS adapter properly in XI server.
    So can anybody suggest what could be the possible reason of this error and how to rectify it. It is slightly urgent.

  • JAX-RPC + Bean = deserialization error: java.lang.NullPointerException

    Im trying to use a bean as return type from a web service method, but I get an error:
    deserialization error: java.lang.NullPointerException
    this is the class consuming the web service
    package local.jws;
    import local.jws.remote.TestBeanIF;
    import local.jws.remote.TestBean;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.URL;
    import javax.xml.rpc.Service;
    import javax.xml.rpc.ServiceException;
    import javax.xml.rpc.ServiceFactory;
    import javax.xml.namespace.QName;
    public class Client implements java.io.Serializable
         private TestBean tb;
         private String somestring;
         public Client()
              try
                   String wsURL = "http://localhost:8080/webservice/testbean?WSDL";
                   String nameSpaceURI = "http://local.jws/wsdl/MyTestBean";
                   String portName = "TestBeanIFPort";
                   String serviceName = "MyTestBean";
                   URL serviceURL = new URL( wsURL );
                   ServiceFactory serviceFactory = ServiceFactory.newInstance();
                   QName qServiceName = new QName( nameSpaceURI, serviceName );
                   Service ws = serviceFactory.createService( serviceURL, qServiceName );
                   QName qPortName = new QName( nameSpaceURI, portName );
                   TestBeanIF myTestBeanIF = (TestBeanIF)ws.getPort( qPortName, local.jws.remote.TestBeanIF.class );
                   somestring = myTestBeanIF.getString();
                   tb = myTestBeanIF.getTestBean( "hello bean" );
              catch( Exception ex )
         public TestBean getTb()
              return this.tb;
         public void setTb( TestBean tb )
              this.tb = tb;
         public String getSomestring()
              return this.somestring;
         public void setSomestring( String value )
              this.somestring = value;
    this is the bean:
    package local.jws.beans;
    public class TestBean implements java.io.Serializable
         private String test;
         public TestBean(){ }
         public String getTest()
              return test;
         public void setTest( String value )
              this.test = value;
    this is the interface implementation:
    package local.jws;
    import local.jws.beans.TestBean;
    public class TestBeanImpl implements TestBeanIF
         public TestBean getTestBean( String value )
              TestBean tb = new TestBean();
              tb.setTest( value );
              return tb;
         public String getString()
              return "some string";
    using the getString() method works fine but getTestBean() doesnt;
    any clue on this?
    thanks

    Hi,
    I'm experiencing exactly the same problem as you ...
    The only fix I found is to use static invocation ... with static invocation, WSCompile generates a deserializer and everything works fine, no mure NullPointer exception ...
    With dynamic invocation as you are trying to manage here, I didn't find any way to tell the client to use the deserializer generated with wscompile ...
    Does anyone know how to do it ?
    Thanks,
    Olivier

  • Problem with XML Deserialization Error

    Hi! when I test my webservice, I take the following error: Deserializing fails. Nested message: XML Deserialization Error. Result class com.sap.gram.SelRec.SelRec_CompGenModel does not have property of type java.lang.String. It is required to load XML..
    I don´t understand why occur this!! CiEntId is a string with the property of a primaryKey
    What can I do??
    Thanks
    Rose

    Hi Rosa,
    I've got the same error message, but in another scenario. I'm testing a XI Web Service, with a defined WSDL. To test it I'm using WS Navigator (http://host:port/wsnavigator/enterwsdl.html). Although all the types I'm returning are on the WSLD definition, the dumb WS Navigator fires the "XML Deserialization Error", and says that a type is not defined in the wsdl (but the type is there, and other test tools are working fine with it!).

  • Getting deserialization error when calling a secured webservice

    Hi All,
    I am getting deserialization error: java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement when I am calling my secured web service through a proxy client.
    I have secured my webservice using a keystore, I had created using keytool . In key store I have created keys using RSA algorithm.
    when I am doing all this for a webservice in which input is a string variable, then it is working.
    But if I am passing a document then it is giving me ERROR OWS-04045 Malformed Request Message: deserialization error: java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement .
    Below is the code of java class, I have exposed as webservice :
    import java.io.StringWriter;
    import javax.xml.transform.Transformer;
    import javax.xml.transform.TransformerConfigurationException;
    import javax.xml.transform.TransformerException;
    import javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory;
    import javax.xml.transform.dom.DOMSource;
    import javax.xml.transform.stream.StreamResult;
    import org.w3c.dom.Document;
    public class READXML {
    public String getXML(Document xmlDocument) {
    TransformerFactory tFactory = TransformerFactory.newInstance();
    Transformer transformer = null;
    try {
    transformer = tFactory.newTransformer();
    } catch (TransformerConfigurationException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    StringWriter writer = new StringWriter();
    try {
    transformer.transform(new DOMSource(xmlDocument),
    new StreamResult(writer));
    } catch (TransformerException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    return writer.toString();
    Appreciate if any body can help me to resolve the issue.
    thanks in advance

    Mike,
    I have tried by validating xml, again it is giving same error.
    when I am not securing my webservice then it is working fine.
    The problem is coming only when i am securing my webservice.

    JMS Internal Error at Server Client Adapter!JMS Service is not started
    The following hosts could not be reached 143:223:221:10:50310
    We are trying to send the request from SONICMQ JMS to R/3 and trying to post the response to Sonic Queue. but we are facing some problems for JMS adapter .
    but in JMS sender and receiver adapter i gave different IP and port for listen the SONIC queue. why it is showing in different IP here? this message got from logviewer.
    regards
    Rambarki...

    Rambarki,
    What is the error displayed on the Adapter Monitoring pages?
    Generally the correct error descriptions for connectivity issues are found on adapter monitoring UI than any other.
    Other possible reasons could be :
    <i>JMS Service is not started
    The following hosts could not be reached 143:223:221:10:50310</i> This might be issue with your network settings i.e. XI server is unable to reach the specified IP on specified port.
