JMS Novice-Help please

Question

I'm trying to read a message from a JMS queue. The
message should have encoded in it an ID. This was done via a method in MQ. I'm presuming that I can use
message selector to do it, but I'm not sure how. What this all encompasses is a server socket. Can you also
tell me how the read should be done from a JMS queue?
Any and all information will be gladly accepted by me.

the following may help...reply if you have any other questions.
A) Create a receiver on the queue with a selector using a JMSMessageID as such,,,
//once you have queue and connection from jndi.
String selector = "JMSMessageID='10000'";  
QueueReceiver receiver = queueSession.createReceiver(queue, selector);                           B) Then set a MessageListener on the receiver
receiver.setMessageListener(new MyListener() );C) depending on your app you may need to block here forever. otherwise app will end.

} catch (InterruptedException e) {
      e.printStackTrace();
     return; //or whatever you want
}D) The MessageListener class looks something like this,
class MyListener implements MessageListener {
        /** This method provides the implementation of the MessageListener
        interface. */
public void onMessage(Message message) {
    if (message instanceof TextMessage) {
    // display the message contents
    try {
         String body = ((TextMessage)message).getText();
         System.out.println(body + ":"+message.getJMSMessageID());
