JMS to IDOC xslt mapping

Hi,
We have a JMS to IDOC scenario. We are using PI7.1.  We are currently using XSLT Mapping . This needs to be replaced by Graphical mapping as XSLT mapping  is consuming more memory.
If we remove the XSLT Mapping between source and target would we need content conversion for the soruce file  ?
Please advice.
Thanks,
Teresa

Hi Teresa,
File Content conversion(fcc) is used to convert Any format file to XML format, while sending the data into PI.
& XML format to Any required output format, while sending data out of PI.
B'cos, PI only understands XML language.
So, this has nothing to do with XSLT mapping in your case.
change XSLT mapping to Graphical mapping. that should accomplish your task.

  • How to implement this Scenario(JMS to IDOC)

    Hi Frnds,
    I am working on one scenario JMS to IDOC .based on JMS Message my XSLT Mapping will genarate Multiple Idocs(max 3) or 2 or one.
       I have to send this IDOCS based on some conditions,the conditions mentioned below.
    xslt mapping genarats one message ,but this contains 3 IDOCS or 2 or 1.(Order Create , Order Change and Order Response),
    what is the best approach to implement this scenario
    1)f Order Create  segment exists (new PO), first check SAP to see if PO does actually exist using RFC Z_BBPR46_GET_PO_FROM_FPA ,If it does not exist, pass Order Create idoc to SAP to create new purchase order
    If it does exist, retrieve PO details from RFC and pass Order Change idoc to SAP to update existing purchase order
    2)If Order Change segment exists (change PO), retrieve PO details using RFC Z_BBPR46_GET_PO_FROM_FPA and pass Order Change idoc to SAP to update existing purchase order
    3)If Order Response segment exists (goods movement), retrieve PO details using RFC Z_BBPR46_GET_PO_FROM_FPA and pass Order Response idoc to SAP to create goods movement.
    Above logic i implemented in one mesage mapping Source is XSLT Mapping Output and Receiver message in message mapping is Multimapping selected 3 IDOCS.

  • XSLT mapping throws error in XI, but not in XMLSPY

    Hi everybody,
    I got a really complex XSLT mapping. It works fine in XMLSPY.
    But when I execute the mapping in XI, I get the following error:
    Error during XSLT Transformation: Could not load stylesheet.com.sap.engine.lib.xml.util.NestedException: Operator or ')' expected.
    I asume there is a special character that XI cannot execute.
    has anybody an idea of finding this character?

  • XSLT Mapping :-- End to End Scenario

    Can any one provide XSLT Mapping End to End scenario with screen shots?

    HI
    XSLT Mapping
    XSLT stands for EXtensible Stylesheet Language Transformations. It is an XML based language for transforming XML documents into any other formats suitable for browser to display, on the basis of set of well-defined rules.
    Using XSLT mapping in a ccBPM scenario
    File to Multiple IDocs (XSLT Mapping)
    Steps required for developing XSLT Mapping
    u2022 Create a source data type and a target data type
    u2022 Create Message types for the source and target data types.
    u2022 Create Message Interfaces includes Inbound Message interface and Outbound Message interface.
    u2022 XSLT Mapping does not require creation of Message mapping, so donu2019t create any Message mapping.
    u2022 Create an .XSL file which converts source data type into target data type.
    u2022 Zip that .xsl file and import it into Integration Repository under Imported Archives.
    u2022 In Interface Mapping choose mapping program as XSL and specify this zip program. (Through search help you will get XSL Mapping programs that you imported under Imported Archives, select your corresponding XSL Program)
    u2022 Test this mapping program by navigating to Test tab.
    By having look at above steps you can easily find out that this mapping is no where different from other mapping programs, here the challenging lies in creating an XSLT file. If you spend couple of minutes in studying XPATH tutorial you would be in ideal position to create an XSL Transformation (.xsl extension).
    If you still find difficulties in generating XSL Transformation, then you can make use of a tool u201CAltova MapForceu201D which will create XSL file for you.
    Steps for creating XSL file using this tool:
    1. Open the Alto MapForce, import the source .xml and .xsd file in it
    2. Similarly import the target .xml and .xsd in MapForce.
    3. These two data files should match with source and target data types in Integration Repository.
    4. Complete the graphical mapping using extensive list of XSLT functions available there.
    5. Save the mapping file.
    6. Click the XSLT tab. You will have the entire xslt logic there.
    7. Copy that content and save it as .xsl file.
    8. Zip above .xsl file and import the same into IR under Imported Archives.

  • Is it possible to replace  XSLT mapping in place of Graphical mapping

    Is it possible to do XSLT mapping in place of Graphical mapping, in any normal scenario?
    Means the fuctionality we do by using Graphical mapping(like the operations by using node functions etc...) could possible to do with XSLT Mapping?

    HI
    yes it is possible to replace the graphical mapping with the XSLT mapping.
    But using XSLTs degrade the performance of the interface and moreover they are not easily maintainable.

  • XSLT mapping not reflected at the receiver

    Hi ,
    I am working on IDoc to proxy scenario . At the receiver i have SNC which uses standard content . The mapping here is XSLT mapping .
    I modified the standard content XSLT mapping according to the requirement . The mappings works fine in the test tool . However on checking the payload at the receiver side the field i mapped is non existent
    this is the XSLT code i used for mapping
    !--TAxcode -->
    <xsl:if test="count (./E1EDP04/MWSKZ)!=0">
                                       <xsl:element name="FollowUpInvoice">

                                       </xsl:element>
                                  </xsl:if>
    ProductTaxationCharacteristicsCode has 0-1 occurence
    Is there anything i am missing out here ?

    If we use Altova map force tool, it will automatically generate the code, instead of we manually writing.
    Here we map the mapping like our graphical, internally it generates the corresponding the XSLT code.

  • XSLT Mapping Docs

    Hi,
    Can any one post me some good Documents on XSLT mapping?
    With kind regards,
    Joseph

    Hi,
    Each mapping has its own adavantages and disadvantages. XSLT is one type of mapping that Xi supports. XSLT mapping also do have certain advantages like if you need a formatted output like HTML in XSLT it would be easy to implement... XSLT is a W3C standard so if also works in any other integration s/w other than XI so it is portable
    prefer XSLT Mappings over Graphical mappings, since it's easier to use. One other big advantage of using XSLT mapping not mention, atleast I think, is that changes to XSD's loses all mappings with graphical mappings but with XSLT's you just add the field changed or added, instead of starting over(which you will have to do if you re-import your XSD)...
    XSLT is made for mapping XML to HTML or XML to XML. In the XI environment there are different mappings options availiable e.g: graphical (message) mapping, XSLT, Java , ABAP.
    XSLT is, compared to the other techniques, easy to learn and good to enhance. It has a worse performance than the other techniques.
    Usually it is the decision of the developer which mapping to choose looking at the different aspects of the requirement like message size, complexity of mapping and so on.

  • Encoding Technique converting in XSLT Mapping.

    Hi,
    I have a scenarion File->XI->File. the incoming file has the encoding technique UTF-8. i have to convert it to ISO-8859-1. i'm using an XSLT mapping to do that after which my java mapping gets executed. when i tested this mapping with the source file in the Design, it works fine, but when i execute the whole scenario end to end,it is throwing some exception with Unsupported Charecter. the code of the XSLT looks as given under:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:fo="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format">

  • Wanna learn XSLT mapping??

    hi forum, i want to learn xslt mapping, can the forum pls help me....
    and i want to know in which case XSLT mapping is better than java mapping and Graphical mapping

    Hi Sudeep,
    XSLT  mapping is just a  mapping similar to  Message mapping  available in the SAP XI,  the xml  mapped file  is said to  be XSLT  mapping, A tool  available  from Stylus studio . it  will be  graphical one  and very  easy  one.assume if u want to add zero in front of the
    field we have to add that many zeros  in that field thats it.. similar kind  of lot  of  functions  ready made  available.
    this will make the performance of the system bit  slow.. if  we  use  XSLT mapping  and BPM  then  the interface is in  Task (  will have performance  impact a lot )
    Advantage is  we  can mappe as we  wish  and import the file that it.

    In one of our scenarios we have used an xsd file where in we used xs instead xs1 and at the begining there was no name space.
    Can you throw more light on the same as I am confused.
    Thanks,
    Srinivasa

  • Why xslt  mapping?

    I just want to know in what kind of mapping requirements we can go with xslt mapping which is not supported in graphical mapping?
    Please help me with few mapping requirements which is not supported in graphical mapping but we can achive using xslt mapping.

    Hi serach in SDN you will get everything ,...
    anyways refer these links
    A few example in which an XSLT mapping can be used:-
    When the required output is other than XML like Text, Html or XHTML (html displayed as XML)
    When default namespace coming from graphical mapping is not required or is to be changed as per requirements.
    When data is to be filtered based on certain fields (considering File as source)
    When data is to be sorted based on certain field (considering File as source)
    When data is to be grouped based on certain field (considering File as source)
    Advantages of using XSLT mapping
    XSLT program itself defines its own target structure.
    XSLT programs can be imported into SAP XI. Message mapping step can be avoided. One can directly go for interface mapping once message interfaces are created and mapping is imported.
    XSLT provides use of number of standard XPath functions that can replaces graphical mapping involving user defined java functions easily.
    File content conversion at receiver side can be avoided in case of text or html output.
    Multiple occurrences of node within tree (source XML) can be handled easily.
    XSLT can be used in combination with graphical mapping.
    Multi-mapping is also possible using xslt.
    XSLT can be used with ABAP and JAVA Extensions.
    Disadvantages of using XSLT mapping
    Resultant XML payload can not be viewed in SXMB_MONI if not in XML format (for service packs < SP14).
    Interface mapping testing does not show proper error description. So errors in XSLT programs are difficult to trace in XI but can be easily identified outside XI using browser.
    XSLT mapping requires more memory than mapping classes generated in Java.
    XSLT program become lengthier as source structure fields grows in numbers.
    XSLT program sometimes become complex to meet desired functionality.
    Some XSL functions are dependent on version of browser.
