JMSException : Failed to parse descriptor file : npx BasicRuntimeDescriptor
I'm trying to implement my first jms queue using Weblogic and Eclipse and get an error message when I try to create a topic connection.
I have a "Oracle WebLogic Server 12c (12.1.1) at localhost [base_domain]" server running. I run the following code using Debug As >>Java Application.
public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
Hashtable<String,String> env = new Hashtable<String,String>();
env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "t3://localhost:7001");
env.put("weblogic.jndi.createIntermediateContexts", "true");
InitialContext ic = new InitialContext(env);
TopicConnectionFactory tconFactory = (TopicConnectionFactory)
PortableRemoteObject.narrow(ic.lookup("weblogic.jms.ConnectionFactory"),
TopicConnectionFactory.class);
TopicConnection tcon = tconFactory.createTopicConnection();
The failure occurs when the last statement about is executed. Thanks in advance for your help.

I found another thread which indicates explicitly including the JARs in the class path clears up this issue. I tried that and it looks like it is working.

URGENT: Failed to parse descriptor file
I have a servlet which actually act as an EJB client. The ejb server application
is running on the same server(WL 7.0 SP4). The servlet was working fine when
we were using a policy file which give all permissions to the code. Now as per
customer requirement we changed the policy file to include only the permissions
that we require. It is throwing this exception after this policy file change.
What the code is doing is that using reflection, get the findByPrimaryKey method
and invoke it on the home interface.
The exception is:
java.rmi.RemoteException: cannot unmarshaling return; nested exception is:
java.rmi.UnexpectedException: Failed to parse descriptor file; nested exception
is:
org.xml.sax.SAXException: ResourceEntityResolver: did not resolve entity for
publicId = -//BEA Systems, Inc.//RMI Runtime DTD 1.0//EN with resource name rmi.dtd
What permission I will need to give in the policy file inorder to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance,
DWYou might want to ask this in the security newsgroup.

Thanks in advance.First, you have not correctly annotated your SEI and implemenation class. If you want to use a SEI to define your web service. Then your implementation class should not have any JAX-WS/ JSR 181 annotations except the following.
@WebService(endpointInterface="whateverpackage.HelloWorld", portName="HelloWorldPort",serviceName="HelloWorld" )
public class HelloWorldImpl implements HelloWorld{
public Greeting createGreeting(Person per) {
Greeting grt = new Greeting();
grt.setMessage("Welcome back " + per.getFirstName() + "," +
per.getLastName());
grt.setDateTime(new Date());
return grt;
and the SEI should be:
@WebService(name="HelloWorldPort")
@SOAPBinding(style=SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT,
use=SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL)
public interface HelloWorld {
@WebMethod(operationName="greet", action="urn:greet")
@WebResult(name="greeting")
Greeting createGreeting(@WebParam(name="person") Person per);
This is because the SEI defines the abstract description of the web service in the WSDL which is the PortType definition. Therefore no serviceName should be specified on the SEI. The implementation class defines the concrete portion of the WSDL so it will only specify the portName, serviceName and then reference the SEI via the endpointInterface element of the @WebService annotation.
As for helping out with Eclipse I can't be of any help. You might want to give NetBeans 5.5.1 or later a try.

DBA studio: Error add/connect database "Failed to parse tnsnames.ora file"
I have Oracle (version 8.1.7) installed in my XP machine and when I try to (having chosen "Launch DBA Studio standalone") to open a connection I get:
"Failed to parse tnsnames.ora file
ERROR: 100 -- NLNV-NLNV String Format Error".
Also got this when I tried to manually add a database to a tree.
I can access the databases listed in my tnsnames.ora using SQL Plus with no error.
This is my tnsnames.ora.
# TNSNAMES.ORA Network Configuration File: C:\oracle\ora81\network\admin\tnsnames.ora
# Generated by Oracle configuration tools.

Does anybody have any idea what is wrong? Thanks a lot. ChangsongJust found out this IS a string error in my Tnsname.ora. What i did is deleting all the entries in my tnsname.ora, and start adding each one back. I found one particular entry is responsible for the error. This is the old text
serv32.xxx.ge.com =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (COMMUNITY = TCP)(PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = sevr32.xxy.ge.com)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = atmo32))
just looking by itself I can't see anything wrong. I just formatted it a little, making it looked like the other one that is working
serv32.xxx.ge.com =(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS =
(COMMUNITY = TCP)
(PROTOCOL = TCP)
(HOST = sevr32.xxy.ge.com)
(PORT = 1521)))
(CONNECT_DATA=
(SID = atmo32)))
and now it works fine. I Really can't tell the difference, except that some words were moved to the other line. What puzzled me is that the same old tnsname.ora worked in almost all the other circumstances, like sql plus, and other database enginee. But it is just not good enough for dba studio?
I admit I probably should have used the network utility to add a connection to avoid this type of format error.
Anyhow, I'm glad it is solved. by the way, the symjct.dll mentioned in the previous post should be symcjit.dll. I guess he mispelled the name. I renamed it to symcjit_old.dll and now the java error was gone. So that is another gain from this post. Thanks Joel for all the information. -

anymore? Seems that they are second class citizens to VMs, no updates, no new portal, no new features, often can't update single role without updating all roles, etc.i am facing same error : here is the log:

The Error Message 'Application descriptor file cannot be parsed' shows when compiling (Ctrl + Enter) Adobe AIR for Android applications on Flash Professional CS5.5
This is happening for most of the pupils and staff at our school and they are unable to complete their work.
This also happens on a fresh copy of windows and CS5.5 without any updates and also with all latest updates.
I have tried it on 32-bit and 64-bit CS5, Windows, Air and Java with the same error every time.
There are a small minority of users where this works fine for them with no issue.
I have tried re-setting user profiles.
I have tried a local admin and domain admin account with the same issue
I have noticed however that if the file is moved to the shared area it will compile. If it is on their documents area it will not compile. The users have full control in both locations. This is fine for staff but we are unable to give full control or modify access to the shared area for the pupil's
I have been through the online support section and it directed me to phone Adobe Customer care who informed me that all support has been discontinued for CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 and they will only support creative cloud.
Any ideas what to try next? There is no other information about this error and I cannot work out what is causing it.I have tried and able to package an apk using your XML file.Could you please make sure your XML file starting from line 1 and coloumn 0.Any space will results in the error (Application Descriptor file cannot be parsed)

JAXB parser fails on multiple xsd files in same namespace
I am having a problem with JAXB parsing a schema that imports 2 schema files from a similar namespace. Lets say we have 3 schema files A.xsd, B.xsd, and C.xsd as follows:
A: <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="<http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema> targetNamespace="A" xmlns="A" xmlns:z="Z" xmlns:jxb="<http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jaxb> jxb:version="1.0" elementFormDefault="qualified"> <xsd:import namespace="Z" schemaLocation="B.xsd"/> <xsd:import namespace="Z" schemaLocation="C.xsd"/> </xsd:schema>
B: <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="<http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema> targetNamespace="Z" xmlns="Z" elementFormDefault="qualified"><xs:element name="BElement"></xs:element></xsd:schema>
C: <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="<http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema> targetNamespace="Z" xmlns="Z" elementFormDefault="qualified"> <xs:element name="CElement"></xs:element></xsd:schema>
The problem we have is that JAXB compiler fails during parsing and complains about an unresolved element (z:CElement) in the second schema (C.xsd) for the single namespace (Z). The complaint is reversed if we flip the order of the imported schema. The exact error is as follows: [ERROR] src-resolve: Cannot resolve the name 'z:CElement' to a(n) element declaration component.
So the question is, how do we get JAXB to permit the import of 2 or more elements that are defined in individual schema files that belong to the same namespace.
Thanks for your support,Greg,
I believe that Xerces does not (and is not required to) parse anything other than the first <import> for a given namespace. I think what you are seeing is that Xerces is ignoring the second import for the "Z" namespace and therefore, the JAXB schema compiler is complaining that it can't resolve the element ref.
Others on this thread may have already covered these work arounds, but here goes:
1. you can disable JAXB's schema validation check by passing "-nv" to xjc or <arg value="-nv"/> to the ant task. This should allow XJC to get past the xerces behavior and generate proper code. In the current codebase, we are realying on some xerces internals to perform schema validation within XJC.
2. you might also be able to create another schema file, say Z.xsd, that <includes> all of your schemas belonging to that namespace. Then you can bring all of them in with a single <import> of Z.xsd in A.xsd.
I haven't tried it, but I think it'll work.
Greg, FYI we have a very active developer community on Java.net - that's the best place to post these kinds of questions. We (the JAXB team) don't monitor the developer forums as closely. Check it out:

Java User Exit - File header failed to parse tokens
I'm getting an OGG-01389 ... File header failed to parse tokens. File /u01/pump/aa000000, last offset 916, data: 0x 394: <256_char_alpha_num_omitted>
The doc for OGG-01389 just has:
Cause: There was an error while parsing the trail header.
Action: Contact Oracle Support.
In my log4j, I can see that javawriter.c finds all of the com.goldengate.atg.* classes and methods that it's looking for, with a "Loaded all classes for Java User Exit" log entry. I also see the following entries from javawriter.c in the log, prior to any indication of error:
Now loading callback methods
Calling 'main' with JVM options: [blah, blah, blah]
setProperty: key=JAVACHKPT, value=true
Running in JAVA checkpointing mode
Checking for checkpoint file
Checkpoint file does not exist
Java Writer Initialized
... then I get the following log output from javauserexit.c ... still looking good:
(javauserexit.c:389) [INFO]: Initialized User Exit
(javauserexit.c:563) [DEBUG]: User exit: EXIT_CALL_CHECKPOINT
... then back to output from javawriter.c :
(javawriter.c:104) [DEBUG]: get_current_time
(javawriter.c:104) [DEBUG]: get_current_time
... and then failure ... coming from javauserexit.c at the line indicated:
(javauserexit.c:885) [INFO]: User exit: EXIT_CALL_FATAL_ERROR.
... thinking it could have something to do with defaults being set for checkpointing, I tried the following in GGSCI prior to starting the extract in question:
GGSCI > alter extract uePump, extseqno 0, extrba 0
EXTRACT altered.
GGSCI > start uePump
EXTRACT UEPUMP starting
... but I get the same failure as above.
Earlier in the log, I can see that all of the following goldengate properties are being set to defaults, since I have not specified values for them ... should I? :
goldengate.userexit.rawchars ... defaulting to false
goldengate.userexit.buffertxs ... defaulting to ops
Checkpoint file prefix set to: userexit_
goldengate.userexit.includebefores ... defaulting to true
goldengate.userexit.noignorerecs ... defaulting to false
goldengate.userexit.noop ... defaulting to false
goldengate.userexit.nosend ... defaulting to false
goldengate.userexit.nosendcols ... defaulting to false
Thanks for any info / advice.Nevermind. I was "accidentally" working off "old" srcDb exttrail extract and resulting remote pump rmttrail extract. Since the src was built by the default GG 11.2 format (because that's the version of GG running there on the DB server), the remote pump extract that my user exit was ingesting was also the11.2 format. Just added the "format release 11.1" to the exttrail of the source, and re-flushed everything and my OGG-0138 goes away.
Sorry about the noise! -

GTX970 4GB RAMI downloaded a small HiRise JP2 and used Preview to export as Tiff. It opens up just fine.
Apparently the JP2 takes up an awful lot of memory uncompressing, and Photoshop gives up.

(Deleted that second .jp2 file. It slowed my Windows 7 system to a crawl).
I also got the same error on the file in Message one, so saving it as a tiff would work.

THANKS FOR SUGGESTIONHi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Please check that you have enable RD Web SSO and as you have buy RapidSSL wildcard certificate you need to see that certificate installed with its private key and also need to store the certificate under local computer personal store.
In addition check the group policy whether you added server name in “Allow Delegating Default Credentials” under below path.
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Credentials Delegation
Please check below articles for details.
Remote Desktop Web Access single sign-on now easier to enable in Windows Server 2012

Hope it helps!
Thanks.
Dharmesh Solanki -
I am getting this popup error when trying to open a .gif file:
"Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file."
This comes up every time I try to open a .gif file. Even if I make a .gif file (like the image included in this post), save it and then try to open it again, I get the same error. I tried reinstalling CS4, but the error is still there. I have also done the reset on start-up and nothing. Some have suggested that I open it in (Windows XP Pro) MS Paint and then save it again. Did it and this does NOT work for me, either.
I know it's a Photoshop problem because I can see this file everywhere, except Photoshop. It will open here, there and everywhere, except for Photoshop.
I've searched the Adobe Commmunity and it looks like no one has come up with a fix for this. I'm just currious after 5 years with this problem, has there been a solution?
ScottOne of the files that has the error is in my first post.

Sun do provide the xsd schemas locally inside the jar files so internet connection
should not be required if parser is configured right.
In my case I removed commons-digester-1.6.jar from my application and replaced it
with commons-digester.jar supplied by JDeveloper builtin library named Commons Digester 1.5.
Digester was configuring the (oracle) xerces parser.
