Jmx remote 1.0.1_04 source?

Does anywhere know where I can download the source for the JMX Remote reference implementation version 1.0.1_04?
The binaries can be found at the link below, as well as the source for all versions except the most recent (1.0.1_04)!
http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/core/mntr-mgmt/javamanagement/download.jsp

Hi!
This problem persists and now it's even worse as none of the SOURCE DOWNLOAD links to the actual source code.
I'm in a bit of a hurry, so I'd even appreciate if you can mail me the source code directly.

Jimisola

Is JMX Remote API Reference Implementation open source one?
Can we use JMX Remote API Reference Implementation with commercial products?

    Hi,
    I am not a lawyer.
If you're referring to the JMX RI binary downloads available from here:
    http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/core/mntr-mgmt/javamanagement/download.jsp
then please click on the download button and then review the license agreement.
You will see that this is not the GPL license.
As such these downloads are not "open source".
However the JMX API is also part of the OpenJDK project - and the OpenJDK project
itself is open source. The OpenJDK project has a NetBeans IDE JMX project that will
let you easily work with the JMX sources.
    See http://openjdk.java.net/groups/jmx/ for more details.
You can review the OpenJDK license agreement and download the OpenJDK sources
    from http://openjdk.java.net/
The OpenDMK Project contains an open source implementation of the JMXMP
connector for the JMX API - which is the optional JMX connector defined in the
JMX Remote API 1.0 specification. The JMXMP connector is not part of the OpenJDK
project, but is open sourced by the OpenDMK project.
You can review the OpenDMK license agreement and download the sources and
binaries of the OpenDMK project from here:
    http://opendmk.dev.java.net/
For an exact description of what you can or can't do with any of these various sources
and binaries, please read the license agreements that come with each of them.
    I hope this helps,

  • Remote cube on Data Source 0FI_GL_4

    HI,
I have a requirement of  reconciling  the Line Items from R/3 to BW.
So i tried to create Remote cube with Direct access, but coudnt due to 0FI_GL_4 data source doesnt support Direct access and reconciliation.
I can see that Data Source  0FI_GL_4  is being fetched by Function module BWFID_GET_FIGL_ITEM and the base table is DTFIGL_4.
My question is can I create the Generic data source based on the function module by taking the copy of existing FM BWFID_GET_FIGL_ITEM  and change Direct access option to 2(Supports Preaggregation).
Do i need to change any settings at table level and parameters to get the required solution.
Please sugget me how to proceed the development to reconcile the Line Items from R3 to BW.

    HI Banerjee,
    Thanks for the update.
As you said i cant use the data source 0FI_GL_1, Because we need to reconcile many fields from R/3 to BW, but  those fields are not available in this data source and it will be complicated to enhance such fields.
can I create View based generic data source on BSEK and BSEG tables, Will it work? if yes do i need to follow any criteria to get the Correct Line Items.
Please suggest me is there any SAP suggested solution or if you worked on such kind of development.

  • How can I use my remote, without using Media Sourc

I have an audigy2ZS Platinum Pro, and I hate the mediasource remote plugin, I was much happier with my Remote Center, that was on my Audigy Platinum.. Is there anyway to get remote center on this model, or do I have to use media source?

Intelliremote is a software program that replaces the cumbersome Creative Remotecenter software that is bundled with Soundblaster Li've!, Audigy, Audigy ZS and, X-Fi. Creative had an excellent idea bundling an infrared remote control with their product...it's just to bad the software "RemoteCenter" is a 2MB behemoth that doesn't even do what you want it to do!

  • [2514] Remote debugger asks for source file.

I've been testing the fixed remote debug facility in the new release.
It is now possible to connect to a remote session and start debugging, but as soon as I hit a breakpoint a dialog pops up saying that it is unable to find the source file for the package being debugged. It offers various options, including two 'Look for file in connection ....'
and browsing for the source file.
If I do a local debug first, this does not happen.

We have a bug logged for "unable to find the source". You need to accept the dialog and select the connection you want to do the debugging on. For the other issue, we have multiple databases, with connections for users with the same name in each and have not run into the issue described. Please can you provide more detail.

  • No HS to remote SQL Server Data Source using NT Authentication?

I am attemping to use Generic Connectivity to pull SQL Server 2000 data into 10g.
We have the DSN configured, the oracle files modified properly (we have done similar setups before), and are able to successfully tnsping the SQL Server.
However, after creating our database, when trying to execute a query against the remote source I receive the following error message:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
[Generic Connectivity Using ODBC][Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL
    Server]Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'. (SQL State: 28000;
    SQL Code: 18456)
    ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from IDW_LINK
As the message indicates that the error is coming from the SQL Server, I assume a connection is being established.
I remember reading postings here from a couple years back about HS not being able to connect to remote SQL Servers when NT Authentication is required. Is this still the case?
I did in fact provide to the link my "domain\username", "password" combination that has access to the sql server, but this is of course using NT Authentication.
Any ideas on why HS would be sending "NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS" to the sql server? Is this still the already existing problem of no NT Auth for remote data sources?

Have you found a solution for this? Thanks.

  • Very stange Behavior with JMX remote

    Hi
I've an application written with Spring. JMX support works good locally bu I'm unable to connect from remote computer.
    I'm starting with :
    -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=4099 -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false
When I launch jconsole on the same computer I connect and I see all my Mbean working perfectly
If I try to connect from other computer with Jconsole I get "connection failed"
There is no firewall issue I'm on the same vlan, and on dev machine without any firewall installed.
    Thanks for any help

    Hi,
I encounterred the same problem, that jconsole cannot connect remotely but works locally fine. I solved the problem by just setting the system property at server's side. No hosts file have to be modified then, neither on server's side nor in client's side. I tried serveral machines for server and client like XP, OS X and Linux and it worked perfeclty. Add this line to your java command:
    -Djava.rmi.server.hostname=<IP-Address>
As <IP-Address> is to be used the server's external address like 172.10.10.10 according to your server's IP. This address is then communicated to the client. Do not use localhost (127.0.0.1), use the real IP address.

  • ARD remote software update download source?

When we use Apple Remote Desktop to get the client to download software updates, like with this UNIX command
    softwareupdate -i -r
What download source does the remote client use?  does he download via his own gateway direct from Apple,  or does the ARD host computer download it then upload to the client.
If all machines were on your LAN,  you would want the updates to be downloaded once by the host,  but if all the clients were Remote you would want them to download with their own connections.
I have a lot of clients on both,  so need to figure out which one it is :-)

Unless you change the setup of the clients to point to an update server in Mac OS X Server on your system, then they alll contact Apple directly and download individually from there. ARD does not host updates.
If you want to have a single download for some or all of your systems, either download the installers on your admin system - most are available as a standalone installer package - and push out the package through ARD, or set up a Mac OS X server, set up the Software Update Server feature, and point all your workstations to that server for their updates.

  • Remote DBX with local source in dbxtool / sol studio

    Hi,
I'm trying to debug a process on a remote host (prod machine, say) from a machine containing the source/objects (dev machine). When the dbx stops at a breakpoint and tried to load the source, however, it seems to be the remote dbx which tries to open the files, which are only located (for security reasons) on the dev host. Is it possible to make dbxtool open the files from the local host (ie the one the GUI is running on)? (Solaris 10 running on dev and prod).
I've also tried solaris studio, which does show the disassembled code but doesn't link to the src in the project.
Any idea if this is possible?
    Thanks,
    Ken.

The protocol between dbx and dbxtool/IDE is binary.
A textual protocol, like gdb's MI, usurps the actual user cmdline channel
which is why with gdb you get either a gdb cmdline or GUI interaction
and the cmdline interaction (i.e. history, completion) suffers.
Debugging code compiled with Sun/Oracle compilers with gdb won't
    work very well.
If you have a support contract you could ask for an enhancement fix
where dbx doesn't switch to assembly mode if it doesn't find the actual source file,
but I dunno what other things might not work. I do know things work in the other
direction. That is, if you open a source file in dbxtool on the dev machine
and place a breakpoint it will take. Note that the required fix would be
    in dbx not the GUI's
One, admittedly horrid, hack that comes to mind is to fool dbx on the prod machine
with empty source files so it thinks they are there and doesn't switch to assembly
    mode.

  • JMX Remote and MBeans in separate Processes

    Hi,
    I found on Sun blogs - http://blogs.sun.com/jmxetc/entry/what_is_jmx
    following:
"An EJB lives in an Application Server container. It usually implements business logic. An MBean lives in an MBeanServer, and usually implements management logic"
That means, when an MBeanServer is killed, an MBeans dont't run anymore?
    I have several Java applications.
I want use the JMX to manage (remote) this applications (start, stop, status watch) I created one MBean for every application and registered them on an MBeanServer. I can now start, stop application and observe the status.
    public interface AdapterMBean {
    String getStatus();
    void start();
    void stop();
But when I kill the process of MBeanServer, my applications don't run anymore.
Method start() starts application in new Thread.
Can JMX fulfil this requirement, that an MBeanServer runs in its own process and MBeans run in separate processes (now on the same machine)?
If yes, what shoul I do?

PeterWhen you kill a process, you kill all its execution threads.
A thread is not a process. It runs within a process.
If you want your applications to remain alive when you kill
the process that started them you need to start them in a
    new separate process. See System.exec().
The question is: why do you kill the process that runs all your
    applications in the first place?
Are you sure you are doing what you want to do?

  • Problem with JMX Remote Port - JBoss & Apache on same machine

    Hi,
I have a server which hosts Apache that uses mod_jk to pass requests to three Tomcat instances. Apache listens to port 80.
I want to install a different application on the same machine that runs on JBoss. Foreseeing the problem with port numbers, I got a different IP address (Let's say IP2, and original IP for Apache is IP1) on the same machine to run JBoss application. I changed HTTP Connector configuration in server.xml to add "address=IP1:8080" for Tomcat, "address=IP2:8080" for JBoss. I also modified Apache Listen directive in httpd.conf from "Listen 80" to "Listen IP1:80".
Now when I try to start JBoss server by running run.bat, I get below error.
Can any one please suggest how can I resolve this port conflict? Is there even a way to resolve it? As JAVA_HOME can point to a single location and both JBoss & Apache use it?
    Thanks.

  • Non-Admin JMX remote connection

    Hi All,
I need to setup a user in Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4.0 which as priviliges to remotely launch jconsole and monitor the JVM. This user cannot have any other administratives rights to any console or Oracle Suite activities, just read-only.
Currently I can remotely only logon to the JVM with the oc4jadmin user/password.
I have tried setting up the server properties with the following parameters on the oc4j_soa instance running:
    -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=true
    -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false
    -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.password.file=$ORACLE_HOME/jdk/jre/lib/management/jmxremote.password
    -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.access.file=$ORACLE_HOME/jdk/jre/lib/management/jmxremote.access
Inside this I defined a user with role readWrite and in the password file I associated the user to a password. This did however not work even after a restart and having set the chmod 600 to the files.
I then tried adding (jaszn) the role oc4j-administrators and ascontrol_admin to a generic user that I created and i was granted access.
    1. Would like to know if I can ever setup the jmxremote as I did in the JVM server properties
    2. Which roles will allow a read-only access to the jconsole to a generic user. I dont want to give him ascontrol_admin or oc4j-administrators because otherwise he will have admin priviliges.
    3. Any other way to setup an anonymous login of jconsole or setup some kind of user that will allow me to do what I need.
    Thanks in advance,

the r/3 system icon is seen next to the remote cube technical  name...
I can't  see my flatfile source system
    can somebody help me.

    Hello Kiran,
I don't think its possible to use Remote cubes for PC_FILE or FLAT FILE as Source system.
You can use Virtual Providers in these different scenarios
Virtual Providers based on DTP => used for SAP source systems
Virtual Providers based on BAPI => used for non-SAP or external systems
Virtual Providers bsaed on Function modules => You use this VirtualProvider if you want to display data from non-BI data sources in BI without having to copy the dataset into the BI structures. The data can be local or remote. You can also use your own calculations to change the data before it is passed to the OLAP processor. This function is used primarily in the SAP Strategic Enterprise Management (SEM) application.
    Use InfoObects as Virtual Providers
Your case is none of these.

  • How to expose JMX MBeans To Remote Clients ?

    Hi all,
New to JMX...need some configuration guidance :)
I'm trying to add a new JMX service - the will invoke an already existing service on my application...but I can't find a good example for exposing JMX MBeans to remote clients...
I found this page http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/en/JMXMBeanRemoteProxy?action=e&windowstate=normal&mode=view (fairly old...) but I'm not sure how to "create a proxy for the MBean and bind it under MyServiceInvokeTarget? JNDI name"
Where can I find a good example for exposing app interface to JBoss JMX ?

I don't use JBoss, but because you have not received a reply yet, I'll throw some possible references out. You might try [Section 2.7|http://docs.jboss.org/jbossas/jboss4guide/r2/html/ch2.chapter.html#ch2.remoteaccess.sect] ("Remote Access to Services, Detached Invokers") of the [JBoss 4 Application Server Guide|http://docs.jboss.org/jbossas/jboss4guide/r5/html/] (PDF) to get more information. I listed some additional references that a JBoss developer might want to check out in [another entry in this same forum|http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5295861&tstart=0] as well as [still another entry in this forum|http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5298128&tstart=0]. The [JBoss Wiki|http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/] entry [JMX_Remoting_service_configuration|http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/JMX_Remoting_service_configuration] looks like a potentially useful resource for using JMX on JBoss. Another entry on that same Wiki (JBossMX) states "JBoss MX supports version 1.2 of the JMX specification (JSR 003) since JBoss versions 3.2.5 and 4.0.0. *Support for the JMX Remote API (JSR 160) is under development*" (I added the bold emphasis). This last entry links to another entry ([Using the RMI Adaptor|http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/UsingTheRMIAdaptor]) that might be exactly what you need.
