JNLP running but JAR not executing

I have a wierd problem... My JNLP gets deplyed the entire procedure of copying the file and checking for updates takes place... But the JAR file does not get executed... or rather the application doesn't start... When i try to run the jar file otherwise it works out perfectly... but with the JWS deployment it's not working...
The same deployment works with the other jar files and runs perfectly...
This JAR application is a dashboard that gives a screenshot of various device statuses....
If anyone can help soon, it'll be a great help...

I ran into something similar with the release of Java 1.4.2_05:
If you're using a manifest file to create your .jar, make sure you're using ' . ' characters instead of ' / ' characters for the designation of your starting class.
For example, if your manifest reads:
"Main-Class: com/yourCompany/aDirectory/YourStartingClass"
Change it to read:
"Main-Class: com.yourCompany.aDirectory.YourStartingClass"
For myself, I discovered that my Java Web Start files would download but no longer execute once I upgraded to 1.4.2_05. A post somewhere else on these forums led me to the above solution, which resolved the (quite frustrating) problem for me. Hope it works for you!

Do you have a profile lock file in your profile folder? If so, delete it and see if TB runs properly:

somehow i couldn't get rid of one website called www.searchqu.com/405 set as my homepage... I tried all solutions given to change the homepage but whenever i restarted firefox that homepage used to come automatically.. Assuming it's Windows, right click a blank part of the Windows Taskbar and go to Task Manager. Then click the ''Processes ''tab, find '''firefox.exe''' and then right click it and choose '''End Process'''.

Assuming that it's an app, have you tried closing the app on your iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch via the taskbar and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Rooftop Run app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
A third option if the above 2 don't work is to try deleting the app and re-download it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your device

Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Firefox will be hanging for some reason. The quick solutions to kill the process and try again. The next step is to try to see if it will start and exit normally a couple of times, if so the problem is solved. If not the reason needs further investigation.

We are getting the following error when running an XML Publisher report in 11.5.10
The Output Post-processor is running but has not picked up this request.
We have checked that the SQL query in the data template works fine. Also, the XML output if we remove the template looks fine. The XML data and template also work fine when merged manually in MS WORD, and also if we create a Java class and run the XDO classes explicitly.
In Manage Concurrent Managers, the OPP seems to be running fine.
How can we debug this issue in an acceptance test environment without sysadmin access?
The problem does not occur in other enviroments.
I think this is not the error described in MetaLink Note 352518.1. This is the ONLY XML Publisher report in the system, so the OPP cannot be busy with other reports, and it is not giving the processing timeout error message (so case 2 is out of question).

You can change the logging level of the OPP to statement to see more detail in the log file
(One problem we have is if you are running of a shared APPL-TOP environement where the conc manager job has to run on the physical node)
