Job creation on particular days in week
hi All,
OS : RHEL 5.7
DB : 11.2.0.2
I have created one job. I want to run one procedure from Monday to Saturday at 10AM.
Below is my code.
Please check the code and tell me is it correct because i dont have that much idea about scheduling a job.
have i wrote that "job_action" section rightly? -- "TEST_PROCEDURE" is my procedure.
BEGIN
DBMS_SCHEDULER.create_job (
job_name => 'TEST_JOB',
job_type => 'STORED_PROCEDURE',
job_action => 'exec TEST_PROCEDURE;',
start_date => SYSTIMESTAMP,
repeat_interval => ‘freq=weekly; byday=mon,tue,wed,thur,fri,sat; byhour=10; byminute=0; bysecond=0;’,
end_date => NULL,
enabled => TRUE,
comments => 'Procedure will run From Mon to SAT at 10 AM.');
END;
Regards.
Hi all,
After your all comments and reading some documnets I have changed only "JOB_ACTION" and "‘freq=daily" parameter which is given below :
BEGIN
DBMS_SCHEDULER.create_job (
job_name => 'TEST_JOB',
job_type => 'STORED_PROCEDURE',
job_action => TEST_PROCEDURE',
start_date => SYSTIMESTAMP,
repeat_interval => *‘freq=daily;* byday=mon,tue,wed,thur,fri,sat; byhour=10; byminute=0; bysecond=0;’,
end_date => NULL,
enabled => TRUE,
comments => 'Procedure will run From Mon to SAT at 10 AM.');
END;
I think this must work and suppose i want to run this from tommorrow, not nw then what should i mentioned?
Regards.

Looking for formula to fill dates of particular days of week for a given month
Hi
I have a Numbers document with a sheet for each month of the year, named "January", "February", "March", etc.
Each sheet contains a table as follows:
I am looking for a function that will calculate the dates in a given month that I am due to see each client, based on the year (contained in a single cell table on a seperate sheet) and the month of the sheet (I am presuming that a function can refer to the name of a sheet). These dates would populate the cells under "Session 1", "Session 2", etc. (for some days of the week there may be only four sessions, for others five).
I hope this is clear, and would be grateful for any help in getting this working.
Thanks,
NickHere's an example, using September, 2011 as the month.
Main Table:
A1: =DATE(Year :: A2,9,1)
This calculates the Date and Time value for midnight at the beginning of the first day of the ninth month of the year indicated in cell A2 of the table "Year" (September 1, 2011). It uses a Custom format to display only the month and year of this date. The Dates calculated in the rest of the table depend on the Date and Time value in this cell.
A2 - A11: Entered data. Not used in calculations.
B2 - B10: Entered data. The text values here are used as search-for values, and must match the text values in column A of the table Weekday lookup.
C2, Filled down to C10: =$A$1+MOD(7-WEEKDAY($A$1)+VLOOKUP(B,Weekday lookup :: $A:$B,2,FALSE),7)
This calculates the Date corresponding to the first occurrence of the weekday indicated in B during the month in A1. The result is a Date and Time value (used in formulas to the right). The cells use a custom format to display only the Day (of the month) number.
D2, Filled right to column F and down to row 10: =C+7
Calculates the date seven days after the date in column C.
G2, filled down to row 10: =IF(MONTH($A$1)=MONTH(F+7),F+7,"")
This is the same formula as used in D2, but adds a check to suppress the calculation if the result is not in the same month as other dates on the table.
Year: The requested single cell table to record the year.
Weekday Lookup: A lookup table from which to retrieve the weekday number for the day in column B of the main table.
Custom formats:
Select cells C2 - G10
Open the Inspector > Cell Format Inspector > Date and Time
Delete the unwanted elements from the workspace in the Inspector.
Repeat for cell A1.
Regards,
Barry
PS: Numbers cannot use the Sheet name or Table name as data for a formula unless the name is placed into a cell on a table.

Payment terms - due date on a particular day of the week say friday?
Experts is it possible in SAP payment terms to configure a term such that due date is on a particular day of the week?
I want use payment term to determine due date for weekly billing cycle (sunday to saturday) for the invoice to be due on Friday net 27 days from mid point of the week
eg 1. if a customer is invoiced any day between October 4th to 10th, the due date should be Friday Nov 6th
eg 2. if a customer is invoiced and day between October 11th to 17th, the due date should be Friday Nov 13th
Is this possible?
Thanks in AdvanceYou need custom development for this. Using custom development, Substitution in FI or User exit in SD
I. FI Substitution -
Create substitution with exit, for field day1 (BSEG-ZBD1T) and baseline date (BSEG-ZFBDT). In exit, determine number of days for required Friday from baseline date you want to use (say document date). This way, due date will be on Friday.
For determining Friday, use calendar or Ztables.
II. Invoices created in SD - If you are gerenating invoices in SD, use exit EXIT_SAPLV60B_008. This exit has table ACCIT which also has same fields Day1 and Baseline date. Follow same logic mentioned above.
I hope this helps. -

Shading certain columns depending on start day of week.
Good Afternoon,
I have reason to edit the calendar wizard to make it completely automated. And before anyone says that this isn't used anymore, we've received 2 separate calendar files over the last made from our Finance departments, each making them with Word calendar
wizard highlighting year end dates. So believe me, the calendar wizard is still very much in use!
Last September, I finally figured out how to automate the first day of the week, though. I have 2 templates now, one for Monday as first day and one for Sunday being the first day of the week.
The only thing missing is to automate the shading so that the columns for Saturday and Sunday are shaded with light grey, and since it's automation we're talking about, only those cells in the columns with a number in them.
I know it's do-able, I'm just not a vb expert, only being able to handle editing simple macros.
But I understand that since I had some help with the macros and they might have changed from the original to some degree, that I should post the code. Is this correct? I hope that it is.

The above is from the module labelled "Calendar". I don't believe anything was altered in the module labelled "Common", but please let me know that I should post it.
To recap, in this wizard file, the first day of the week is set for Monday. So the Saturday and Sunday columns always fall as the last 2 columns in the calendar table (Sunday as first day has the 1st and last column as the ones that would need shading).
How can that syntax be added to shade the last 2 columns in the Monday calendar wizard, and the 1st and last column for the Sunday calendar wizard and hopefully shading just those particular cells in either with numbers in them?
Thank you! Very much appreciated.Thanks, Doug! Works beautifully. I tried them again this morning, really incredible!
I'm going to keep the Monday and Sunday wizard files as separate files because I realized that I don't have the skills (or the time) to try to figure out how to modify it so the user is requested the starting day. It'll be beyond my meager skills,
I'm sure, especially since there are all those dialogue boxes to contend with at the wizard's start. I was forgetting about those. So leaving these as 2 separate files where one chooses the starting day as per the title, the Monday one for Monday
and the other, the Sunday one, for a Sunday start day.
However, the only difference between them at this point is that one has a "0" for Sunday and the other a "1" for Monday, at the appropriate spots in the code. being the starting week day and the other a "1" for Monday.
That's it. They're beautifully the same in the rest of the code. And a further benefit is that only one module was touched at all for all of this, the Calendar module (leaving the one labelled "Common" untouched.
So anyone with a calendar wizard file can just change the piece of code below (begging the group's indulgence, if I may, in posting the modified code (??):

How to identify the maximum data loads done for a particular day?
Hi all,
There is huge volume of data been loaded on a last monday, and then data was deleted from the cubes on the same day. And hence i needs to see which are all the cubes which was loaded wtih lot of records for a particular day,
i happened to look at rsmo, i am unable to see the ods nor the cube data loads,
were do i seet it?
ThanksSee if the table RSSELDONE helps. This will give you the recent data load details. Based on those loads , you can search the targets.
And also check table TBTCO which will give the latest job details. You will have to analyze the same jobs to know what loads were done . Give a selection for date. -
FM for getting all days of week
Hi,
When I enter todays date FM should bring up all dates in a week.
Eg: today if user enters 02/04/2009
It should give me values 3/29 , 3/30 , 3/31, 01/04,02/04 etc..
Do we have any FM for this?
Rgds
PraveenHi Praveen
In the below mentioned funtion modules you can get almost all type of days & weeks calculations...
For your requirement just do this
"To calculate week Start & End date
CALL FUNCTION 'HRWPC_BL_DATES_WEEK_INTERVAL'
EXPORTING
DATUM = SY-DATUM " Current date (ITAB DATE)
WEEK_PST = '0'
WEEK_FTR = '0'
IMPORTING
BEGDA = STR_WEEK_DATE " Week start date
ENDDA = END_WEEK_DATE. " Week end date
then
day1 = STR_WEEK_DATE
day2 = day1 + 1.
day3 = day2 + 1.
till day7...
"To calculate week no for particular date
CALL FUNCTION 'DATE_GET_WEEK'
EXPORTING
DATE = SY-DATUM " any date
IMPORTING
WEEK = WEEK_NO ." Week no for particular date
"To calculate week Start & End date
CALL FUNCTION 'HRWPC_BL_DATES_WEEK_INTERVAL'
EXPORTING
DATUM = SY-DATUM " Current date (ITAB DATE)
WEEK_PST = '0'
WEEK_FTR = '0'
IMPORTING
BEGDA = STR_WEEK_DATE " Week start date
ENDDA = END_WEEK_DATE. " Week end date
"To calculate Months ending date
CALL FUNCTION 'BKK_GET_MONTH_LASTDAY'
EXPORTING
I_DATE = SY-DATUM " Any date
IMPORTING
E_DATE = END_MONTH_DATE. " Month's ending date
"to calculate particular day No for any give date.
CALL FUNCTION 'DATE_COMPUTE_DAY'
EXPORTING
DATE = SY-DATUM " any date
IMPORTING
DAY = DAYNO1. " particular day no.
"To calculate particular day name with the day no
CALL FUNCTION 'BKK_GET_DAY_OF_WEEK'
EXPORTING
I_DAY = DAYNO " week day no.
IMPORTING
E_WDAY = CURRENT_DAY_NAME. " Week day name for the week day no.
" to Calculate the next week
CALL FUNCTION 'NEXT_WEEK'

Dear Experts
We are doing Negative Time Management where we record only deviations
But customer has third party time machine which required to be integrated with SAP system
As I know, from the time recording terminal, i should map SAP number to all employees and then get a text mail the details with employee attendance for the respective dates and times. Then, have to create a ABAP report which will read the text file and update clock in/out with date into SAP system. After this we can check employee attendance infotype 2011.
But, Before going for above, time administrator wants to set IT0007 as 7- time evaluation without payroll integration, then maintain data in IT0050 & IT2011
Then run Time Evaluation then the out put will be according to the data maintained in IT 2011. Now the requirement is, time administrator wants to change eg. the day is suppose to be working day for any employee but based on adjustments that day became weekly off, another employee suppose to work but again due to some adjustments that day became weekly off, so how this time administrator can change this and where. This is like, time administrator need to see the total work schedule for an employee and needs to change whichever data and whenever or after time evaluation, he could see the total work schedule as desired.
And also, time administrator wants to change schedule manually for any of the employee during that particular period and view the same.
Please note that, ESS/MSS haven't implemented yet.
Appreciated all your prompt responses to this.
Thanks

I have created a workschedule on wednesday In a year there can be weekly off 5 or 6 times on Saturday or Sunday So in that case there is no need to create three workschedules we can create one workschedule and change the days Again we need to regenerate the workschedules inorder to take 'off's" in to account. that is what iam thinkinng at the moment. Yes there is no need to do anything in IT 007 If there is any change in Shift in that Case User has to change workschedule in IT 007.
If there is weekly off he can select the dates on which day it is falling and generate the workschedule.
for changing shifts he should change work schedule in IT 007
Is this is right approach please throw some light on this
My client requirement was Sometimes there can be weekly off in the company It can be either wednesday off or saturday off or
unday off or it can be any day.

Year-to-date behaviour when filtered on day-of-week
In our data warehouse design, the time dimension has - amongst others - following columns:
- day id [ = YYYYMMDD format ]
- day of week [ = name of day of week: Monday, Tuesday, ... ]
- week id [ = IYYYIW format ]
- year id [ = IYYY ]
Our fact table, which contains turnover information, has - amongst others - following columns:
- net amount [ = physical table column containing numeric value ]
- net amount ytd [ = logical column: ToDate(net amount, year id) ]
An analysis was built based upon this dimension and fact table, which is filtered with prompted values. Prompts are foreseen for week and day of week.
When filtering on week the behaviour is very much as expected; the "net amount" is assigned the total net amount of the chosen week, and the "net amount ytd" is assigned the total net amount for the year up to the chosen week.
When adding day-of-week to the filter condition however the result is not as expted; the "net amount" is assigned the total net amount for the chosen day in the chosen week, as hoped for, but the "net amount yet" still is assigned the total net amount for the year up to the chosen day of the chosen week, while I would expect it to be the total net amount of all chosen day-of-weeks (for example, all Tuesdays) of the year up to the Tuesday in the chosen week.
Having a look at the query behind the analysis, the (simplified) code for the YTD information looks like this:
SELECT SUM("net amount")
FROM "fact",
"time dimension" td1,
"time dimension" td2
WHERE td1."week id" = (prompt week value)
AND td1."day of week" = (prompt day of week value)
AND td1."year id" = td2."year id"
AND td2."week id" <= td1."week id"
AND fact."day id" = td2."day id"As I said, it is simplified, OBIEE in fact uses a bunch of sub queries and ranking sequences to pull this off, but this is in a nutshell the result. And as seen in the query, the second occurence of the time dimension is not filtered on day of week, which results in the YTD sum for all days, not just Tuesdays, or whatever day was selected.
It makes sense in a way, after all, filtering on week does not limit the second occurence of the time dimension to filter on week either. But is there any way to force OBIEE to make an exception and come up with following query (or something similar that does the trick):
SELECT SUM("net amount")
FROM "fact",
"time dimension" td1,
"time dimension" td2
WHERE td1."week id" = (prompt week value)
AND td1."day of week" = (prompt day of week value)
AND td1."year id" = td2."year id"
AND td2."week id" <= td1."week id"
AND td2."day of week" = (prompt day of week value)
AND fact."day id" = td2."day id"Thanks in advance for your input.

SQL job creation/modification/deletion auditing?
I have a job 'pop-up' 3 days ago on one of our Servers and of course 'nobody' is coming forward and saying 'I did it'. Is there a way to determine who created the job after the fact?

Execute Different SQL Statements Based On Day of Week
I need to execute different sql statements based on the day of the week in Oracle 8i. In SQL Server, it's pretty simple. SELECT
CASE DATEPART(dw,GETDATE())
WHEN 4 THEN (SELECT COUNT(*) FROM ADR_VLDN )
END
In Oracle it should be something like this
IF to_char(SYSDATE, 'D') = 2 THEN
SELECT * FROM RSVP_FILE_PRCS WHERE ROWNUM = 1;
ELSEIF to_char(SYSDATE, 'D') = 3 THEN
SELECT * FROM RSVP_FILE_PRCS WHERE ROWNUM = 2;
END IF;
But this doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas about how to do this in Oracle?805771 wrote:

Hello
Is there a char which stores the day of the week. Like what i mean is a infoobject which stores that 1st day means monday etc...Hi,
To display the current date in report using an Exit variable on the 0CALDATE and passing the SY-DATUM should help you.
I don't think there is an particular char which stores the day of week like sunday,monday etc...
Hope it's useful.

Help with a numbers formula to call up employee schedules for a particular day / hour of day
So my goal is to be able to use a drop-down menu on Sheet-1 with "day of week" and a 2nd one with "hour of day" to pull up a list of employees working on a particular day at a particular time.
So far I've got Sheet-1 where the magic will happen
Sheet 2-8 are different days of the week each displaying an employees hourly schedule and what hours of the day it corresponds with
Here's a visual example of my thoughts:
http://imgur.com/a/45ZZr#1
If anyone can help point me in the right direction that woul be helpful!Here is another approach that takes advantage of the Numbers 3 native filtering interface.
Have a simple data input table like this (no formulas) and set up a filter as shown:
When the filter box is checked the list shrinks to show employees working on Monday at 10a:
Typing new values into the filter rule boxes changes the results instantly.
And if you have the data input table arranged as shown, you can not only filter it but you can easily view it in multiple ways.
Here's Monday:
The one formula in the table, in B2 copied right and down, is:
=IF(COUNTIFS(Hours Input::$A,$A2,Hours Input::$B,$A$1,Hours Input::$C,B$1)>0,"x","")
And here's A's schedule:
The formula in B2, copied right and down, is:
=IF(COUNTIFS(Hours Input::$A,$A$1,Hours Input::$B,$A2,Hours Input::$C,B$1)>0,"x","")
etc.

Deriving first day of week ww in year yyyy
I need to be able to display the first day of a particular week in addition to the 'week-of-year' and year; for example:
select to_char("ServiceDate",'yyyy-ww') as "Year/Week", sum("Points") as "Points"
from my_table
group by to_char("ServiceDate",'yyyy-ww')
order by to_char("ServiceDate",'yyyy-ww')will give me the following:
Year/Week Points
2008-33 1
2008-35 1
2008-42 4
2008-43 2
2009-01 1
...and so forth. What I would like to add to the dataset is the actual day that is the first day of the week for that Week/Year. For example, the first row would look like this:
Year/Week 1st day of week Points
2008-33 08-AUG-2008* 1*Or whatever the first day of week 33 of year 2008 is (assuming 'first day of week' is a Sunday, for my purposes).
My brain is on 'dim' right now; any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Carlselect to_char(trunc("ServiceDate",'ww'),'yyyy-ww') as "Year/Week",
to_char(trunc("ServiceDate",'ww'),'DD-MON-YYYY') "Week Start Date",
sum("Points") as "Points"
from my_table
group by trunc("ServiceDate",'ww')
order by trunc("ServiceDate",'ww')
