Job Management - Request to Documentation
Hi there
I am on 7.1 SP10 and are wondering if someone has a way of converting a request into a document from the workcenter?
The way it works now is through the ITSM / web ui and it is not really beneficial for customers that work in the workcenter, to open and handle it in the web ui, since it is the only thing that happens is the conversion from a request to a document.
Hope that someone has input on this.
Nicolai
hi,
basically job request is the crm service doc, job document is the normal doc stored in solman kw.
best practise that always use job document and job request in an integrated way, as you mentioned done via ITSM refer here
Processing Job Requests with IT Service Management - SAP Solution Manager - SAP Library
this can also posible via action profiles,
otherway you can import jobs directly to the job documents as here
or refer FAQ Job Scheduling Management - Solution Manager - SCN Wiki question 3 from top.
all the posiblities via itsm explored, are you looking this kind of integration or could you provide more details ( kind of visualisation ) on your requirement.
Thanks

Hello SolMan users !
I am playing around with the new Work Centers, and what I'd like to setup first is the Job Management Work Center.
Currently, when I open this work center, in the Overview, I have all the sections (Job Requests, Job Monitoring, ...), but no numbers are displayed, there are '???' everywhere.
Also, I have activated the WebDynpro services for Job management. I tried scheduling a job in a remote system with the BC-XBP scheduler, but I got a "No connexion to BC-XBP" error message.
I am totally at a loss about what I need to setup to have this working, and I cannot find any documentation.
Could someone point out to me what I am missing ? What is BC-XBP ? Is it something that needs to be configured in SolMan/the remote systems ?
Finally, is there any documentation about Work Centers customizing ?
Thank you.
ThomasHello,
please begin with reading SAP Note 1122497 - Process Scheduling for SAP Solution Manager.
The Application Area for this case is "SV-SMG-PSM".
You have to install the add on SAP CPS by Redwood. It is a part of license of SAP Netweaver.
The add on component is ST-PSM.

Job management setup using Solman_setup
I want to implement job management via Solution manager but if I go to SPRO or Job Management via SOLMAN_SETUP no help or program guidance is displayed. Both my Solman systems are patched to 7.1 stack 10 wit the latest notes applied.
If action to check prerequisites is performed - it either does nothing or aborts after 10sec.
Similar when trying to configure in SPRO - when selecting activate services no list is provided etc
Solman_setup -> Job Management:
Any suggestions welcome!Hi Jan,
I checked in my system, the same the initial step1 is not given any output log, seems its a bug. not sure what exactly this step doing
But after the execution of the step, the job *JSM_PRE_CHECK* completed successfully, so you can check, if the job completed, you proceed for next step.
moreover these are the pre requestie for job scheduling management, so you can refer the below for documentation and need to finish for JSM
Do refer here also Job Scheduling Management - SAP Solution Manager - SAP Library
Thanks

'Job Management' Work Center - Error in Message processing
Hi,
I'm trying to create a change request in the 'Job management workcenter, when I try to edit/view the job it throws me an error "Your are not allowed to process the message". How do I resolve this?
Thanks & Regards,
Esha RajHello,
as the Job Request is a CRM message at the end (usually of transaction type SLFN or rahter SLFJ) you have to configure your assigned business partner properly (in transaction BP). Your business partner has to be configured as employee so that he is allowed to process CRM messages. It is basically the same configuration required as for the SAP Service Desk.

But when i submit.. i have an error: "Must issue a STARTTLS comand first",*this error* means that Gmail Server not suporter?
Do you know Some Mail Company to Rrealize some test.

But... It is neccesary configurate Job Manager? why is necessary configurate Publisher and Job manager, is the same? or Each one is in use for a different thing, all forms i post my Job Manager configuration too.

thanks all and sorry for Spam Images(I think You comprehension better me). i have an error: "Must issue a STARTTLS command first",this error means that Gmail Server not suporter? yes gmail will not support to send emails from this......because our accounts are free...
Try with your corporate mail ids it will work.
It is neccesary configurate Job Manager? why is necessary configurate Publisher and Job manager, is the same? or Each one is in use for a different thing Bi Publisher will not use Job manager mail settings.....If yes ,why we need to configure the mail settings in BIPublisher itself??
Two things are different......
thanks,

Hi,
We recently upgraded to OBIEE version 11.1.1.6.2 BP1 and installed Client tools from the same version (downloaded from Oracle Support). Once installed, ODBC connections are created to connect to the BI Server and we are able to connect to BI Server using Administration Tool. But Catalog Manager and Job Manager are not opening.
Is there any setup missing to make Catalog Manager and Job Manager work?
Thanks in advance.Hi,
It is a known bug. Please find the solution here.

The problem with Complex Job Manager in Business Connector.
Hi,
I have a problem with the service "Complex Job Manager" in Business Connector.
Sometimes this service hangs and a minus value (such as -83452 sec) appears in the column "Next run".
What can I improve?
I have BC ver. 4.7 with CoreFix 9, Java ver. 1.3.1 (46.0), system AIX.
Please help me.
Thanks,
RobertSorry, Raja.
I saw many questions about Business Connector in this category (Process Integration) and I thought that is a right place for my question.
In your opinion, where is a better place for my question?

Getting error when trying to open Job Manager
Hi List
we are getting the below error when trying to open the Job Manager, which worked fine until yesterday.
[nqs error 46105] Error executing Process: "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0\bin\javaw.exe" - Xmx1024m -cp D:\OracleBI\server\Bin\JobManager\startup.jar org.eclipse.core.launcher.Main -data D:\OracleBIData\jobmanager -configuration C:\OracleBIData\jobmanager The system cannot find the path specified
Please advice.
Thanks..Did you change your JDK path by any chance? Also you are getting a strange error message. It is trying to point to both D:\OracleBIData\jobmanager and C:\OracleBIData\jobmanager. Is there anything that you changed prior to doing this?
Thanks,
Venkat

SMTP configuration on Mail tab of job manager didn't work
In the job manager, I entered my SMTP server address, port number, user name and password correctly, but when the ibots execution, I got the error message: Authentication unsuccessful, it seems the user name or password was uncorrect, but they were all correct.
My SMTP server is MS Exchange? Does ibot depend on any specific version of Exchange?
I can use gmail to send email using the same configuration.
who can help me? thanks!

There is no point guessing or trying arbitrary combinations of settings. -
Hi Mozilla ~
In the URL field of Firefox, there are two icons on the far right, just left of the pull-down arrow and refresh arrow. They appear to be for Google and Facebook, both with tooltips that say, "View and Manage Requests". The pull-down menu allows me to manage those Friend requests they link to, but "Move to Menu" and "Remove from Toolbar" are greyed out and not actionable.
Q1 - How did they get there?
Q2 - How can I stop them from being placed automatically in the future by these privacy-muggers?
Q3 - What are they doing in the URL field?
Q4 - If the right-click context/pull-down menu has greyed out the option of "Remove from Toolbar", how can I delete them?
FWIW, I have accounts with Google and Facebook but trust neither and so have blocked them in every way possible from watching me, sending me notifications, doing anything "for" me, etc. My Add-Ons may be visible in my account, but generally they are related to organizing: "Group Tabs", "Bookmarks" or to my customized work process: "Send to Kindle", "HTTPS Everywhere" and "Disconnect Privacy". I hope that helps.
In an online world of sharks and blood-suckers, I trust Mozilla to help me be safe. Thank you for helping me figure out what Google and Facebook are going in my URL field.
I prepared a JPG to show what it looks like but there is no upload image function in this screen... and I cannot seem to drag-and-drop the file into this form field. Please advise.
''[Personal information removed by moderator. Please read [[Forum rules and guidelines]], thanks.]''Hi - Thanks for responding.
I've opened the Add-ons dialog and can confirm that I have both installed and enabled. I want them to stay this way, since I do not want either of them intruding on my privacy.
That their icons have very recently (I only noticed them today) appeared in my URL field, and that they are seeking to push notifications of friend requests to me from that location, does not seem related to my use of the add-on that prevents them from tracking what websites I go to, which is what those two Disconnect add-ons seek to provide.
Further insight and advice appreciated. I see there is a way to add an image to my concern, so here goes.
Thanks again

Hi All,
When I try to access the Job Manager after a recent installation, I get the following error:
The procedure entry point JVMConstantPoolGetUTF8@16 could not be located in the dynamic link library jvm.dll.
Do you have any idea, what the issue could be here?
Thanks and RegardsCan you give me some details on your environment setup? BI Server OS? Database Server OS? Database type and version? OBIEE version? Do you have all your environmental variables setup? java home, oracle home, etc?
If you give me more details, I should be able to help.
Thanks!
-Joe

SivaIt seems you are talking about OBIEE. If so go to Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition and post your question there as this forum isn't related to OBIEE.

The EDS Job manager failed to start
Hi
I am installing the first Exchange 2013 Server in my Exchange 2007 environment
It has completed successfully but in the Application Event Log I see an error, twice:
EventID: 1032
The EDS Job manager failed to start the following jobs:
Job: 'TransportSyncHealthHubLog' is poisoned.
Anyone know a reason for this?
I can only think that it is related to Jetstress which was installed on the Server
However I removed the utility together with the folder, database and log files prior to installing Exchange.
Thanks
