RPD development expertise (with time-series, aggregate navigation) and solid dashboard development experience also required. Enterprise or broad cross-functional domain experience a plus. Should have 4+ years experience on OBIEE projects at US based companies.
4. BI Project Manager with experience managing BI projects specifically. Can be BO, Cognos, Siebel Analytics, or other leading BI app. Ideally, candidate would have some experience working with service/call center and SAP Service Module. Must have very good communication skills*written and verbal. Should have 4 years minimum exp on BI projects at US based companies.
5. BI Analysts with OBIEE experience and experience working with service/call center data. Must have very good communication skills*written and verbal. Should have 3 years minimum OBIEE experience in US based companies.

In my Stand alone system i am having win2003 server and WinXP with saperate Partitions in saperate drives (like C: & D:).
My requirement is to install Hyperion 11.1.1 Essbase and Planning in Win 2003 server and OBIEE(Siebel Analytics) 10x in WinXP.
IS it possible to install these two technologies on the same stand alone machine with saperate OS and saperate drives. My machine capacity is 1GB ram and 80gb harddisk and 2.4GHz processor.
Plz suggest me some thing regarding this doubt

We will not use the two servers at the same time and this machine will not be used for any development,just for demo purpose. So we will use only one thing at one time for getting handson, that is why we are trying to install two things on the same machine
What we are exactly planning is C: drive which will have WIN 2003 server with 10g or sql server as database and .NET framework for HYPERION 11.1.1.. Essbase and planning installations.
and on the other side OBIEE is compatable for XP and need 10g database and JDK1.5.0 on other side in D: drive
In these two technologies Hyperion Installation are important to us and OBIEE is only if possible.This is the exact requirement and environment. Suggest me if anything is going wrong or we are planning over the limits
The machine is 1.5gb ram and 80gb harddisk and 2.4ghz processor.

Upgrade Siebel Analytics 7.8.5 AN6927 (Build 6927) to OBIEE 11g

Hi,
Currently m running Siebel Analytics 7.8.5 on siebel crm.I want to upgrade to OBIEE11g with OBIA 7.6.
Is direct upgrade to OBIEE 11g available? Can anyone guide on upgradation process?
Is is better to upgrade directly to OBIEE 11g or redevelop all 700 reports again on obiee11g?

step1: SA 7.8 to OBIEE 10 g
Step 2:OBIEE 10g to OBIEE 11g.

Siebel Analytics and OBIEE on one server

Can we install OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 on the same server where we already have Siebel Analytics 7.8.5, but on diifferent drive?

I suppose Yes we can install on the same server juz by changing the port number....i mean both should have different port numbers that should be generated while installing 10g on siebel analytics.

Can siebel analytics 7.8.2 and obiee 10.1.3.4.1 be installed on the same machine? Can I have 2 separate folders Siebel Analytics and Siebel analyticsdata for 7.8.2 installation and OracleBI and OracleBIdaata folders for the 10.3.4.1. installation?

Can anyone explain me what are the major differences between Siebel Analytics and OBIEE. I know that the look & feel and cost have got some changes. Other than that can any one tell me any functionality changes or enhancements that took place?

Just looking at the OBIEE platform, I think one of the major differences between Siebel Analytics (7.8) and OBIEE (10.1.x) from a functional point of view is that Oracle added/integrated BI Publisher in OBIEE.

We are also planning to upgrade Siebel Analytics 782+Infa 712+DAC to OBIEE 101341+ Bi Apps 7962+Infa861+DAC101341. We are using Sales Analytics module. Have a few questions regarding this situation:
1. After upgrading SA 782 to OBIEE 101341, we got a seeded rpd for BIApps 7962, but we also have a SA 782 rpd which has been customized with some changes. I have seen the Repository upgrade steps mentioned in Upgrade guide for Informatica Power Center User and it has the process of Equalizing the rpds and merging. If I use this will I be getting my customization's merged in to the out of box BI Apps rpd under the same business model?
What would be the best way to merge these two rpds, two way merge and keep the business models seperate or try to redo the customization in the new rpd?
2. For DAC, does all customization's have to be moved manually into the 101341 or can be exported?
3. For Informatica while upgrading the repository to 861, does the repository from version 712 has to be restored into the same database schema as the out of box 861 repository? Or restore the old 712 repository into a new database schema, upgrade the content and use the Informatica Repository manager tool to copy the custom folder s from old repository to out of box repository is enough?

We're looking to migrate our Siebel Analytics environment to OBIEE. Does anyone know of any documentation on this? Would our existing RPDs and webcats be usable or at least importable?

OBIEE : 11g
Integration Using: Report UI Portlet

While creating OBIEE environment "weblogic" user was setup as "Administrator" account.

Kindly let me know your thoughts on following.
1. Am i missing any steps?
2. Is it possible that Portal 10.3 and OBIEE 11g is not compatible?
3. Admin Username and password that i specified in Report UI portlet's preferences, is it wrong user (or user from wrong group maybe)? Do i need to specify user who is from another group?
4. I changed "SAWServer" url and port in web.xml. Is that okay?
5. Is there any way, i can get more detailed information from OBIEE Server by enabling certain kind of debug?
Let me know if any input is needed from my side. Any input is highly appreciated.

We are planning to upgrade Siebel Marketing 7.8 application to Siebel 8.
There is also Siebel Analytics 7.8.4 application integrated with Siebel Marketing.
Question: is Siebel Analytics 7.8.x version supported in Siebel 8 or it is required to upgrade it to OBIEE 10?

Siebel Analytics reporting out of BW

you can follow two ways to obtain your Scenario:
in the first one you produce your report daily and download its content with a daily job (but I don't like so much this solution...it's not so flexible and I don't know if you really want to do so), in this way you will have a static picture of every day ...
in the second one you can separate your adjustments from the amount of your bill thanks to the document categories or something similar (adjustments are different operations from a functional perspective) and create a different (restricted) KF on your query or directly in the update rules ! in this way you will always see your daily picture and the original amount (thanks to the CALDAY) will be the same, but you'll be able to see also the adjustments in a separate KF and the overall result (real daily amount) with a sum....

Siebel Analytics Chart problem

Hi,
I installed Siebel Analytics 10.1.3.3.3 but charts does not appear on dashboard.
Firstly I said the server machine properties. Server machine is MS Win Server 2003 64bit. Before Siebel was installed , I installed Oracle 10g DB 10.2.0.1 64 bit and Oracle 10g DB 10.2.0.4 64bit Patch on same machine. After that we installed siebel and charts was appear. My problem is after then the siebel installation, I installed warehouse builder on same machine and charts was not appear.
I changed the java path on instanceconfig.xml, but problem was not solved.
Do you have any idea?

Wow, you waited 2 years to post. LoL. Anyway, check your browser's security settings (make sure you don't block java-script or flash). If it's a fresh-install, I'd simply re-install OBIEE, some java components might have been mixed up, especially when you're installing so many apps (you didn't restart after each install, did you?). I hope this helps.

Thank u all for ur replies, but I dint the exact solution for what I'm searching for.
If I use the condition as
"WHERE "Workforce Budget"."Used Budget Amount" BETWEEN MAX("Workforce Budget"."Total Eligible Salaries") AND MAX("Workforce Budget"."Published Worksheet Budget Amount"",
all the data will be grouped with the two columns which I'm considering in the condition.
my actual requirement with this query is to get the required date from a table to generate the report either as daily or weekly or monthly report. If I use repository variables, variables are not getting refreshed until I regenerate the server(which I should not do in my project). Hence I have created a table to hold weekly start and end dates and monthly start and end dates to pass the value to the actual report using between operator.
please could anyone help me on this, my release date is fast approaching.
