[locked] Job As A Junior Web Developer

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this but I couldn't find a more appropriate forum on the site.
I've recently graduated from university with a Masters Degree in Web Design and Development gaining general skills in HTML/XHTML, MXML/ActionScript, PHP, CSS, MySQL,and XML through the use of both Dreamweaver and Flex.
I'm now looking for a job for any type of salary, prefereably one which utilises Flex as that was my main area of expertise/interest but it seems there are very few such jobs available in England where I live with most work being mainly java/j2ee and ASP.net, neither of which I really have any experience in.
I wanted to ask what you all think my next move should be to attempt to find a job? Branch into further coding languages to broaden my options or perhaps do freelance? I don't really have any example sites for any sort of portfolio so I'm thinking in the meantime I could create a few non working example sites to show my skills.
Also how different is programming websites in java/asp.net to the technologies that I currently have experience in? I only ask because I'm thinking about applying for such jobs and then learning as I go. Java from what I've seen seems very similar to ActionScript.

As you have recently graduated the best place to go would be the
'careers office' of the educational institution you attended. They know

Hi, I'm new to Crystal Reports and working my way through some training materials. I have the Crystal Reports 30-day free download, but that's going to expire in a few days. Is there a learning or developer edition at a reasonable price? I can't spend $700 on the full-blown edition.

Learning to develop apps for SharePoint

Hi All,
I am completely new to anything Dev/Code but am really interested in learning to develop apps for SharePoint (predominantly SharePoint Online).

there are 2 types of apps
for SharePoint hosted, u need to learn javascript,htlml for provider hosted apps u need to learn ASP.net MVC
in addition to learning about SharePoint development (APIs)

Mail app marked an email as junk, missed job opportunity. How can I fix this?

I pipe my school email to my gmail account, which I use the mail app to view. It usually works nicely, but I was going through my junk folder and noticed I missed a job opportunity because mail app sent it to junk. This has never happened before. I am so frustrated now, and I just want to fix it, or if its a bug, blame it on somebody lol. But seriously, this is unacceptable. I'm out of a much needed job now. Please help before I lose another one!

Maybe you just need to go to Mail > Preferences > Junk and do some more serious configuring, perhaps using the Advanced options, or at minimum, leaving Junk in your Inbox. Anyway, without seeing the email, it's hard to know why it may have been sent to Junk in the first place--too many links, maybe. (Sorry this happened to you though!)

Images/Templates Reservoir for Hybrid Training Development

Can you recommend a comprehensive images/templates collection site that we can subscribe for the use of hybrid training development by our instructional design team? We are looking for templates for elearning using Captivate, class PowerPoint presentation, Word booklets; stock photos, infographics, characters, icons, background textures, etc. for online courses and website development? Since you are reading text you might want to create an InputStreamReader from which you can do your reading much like you used the FileReader before when you were working with a File.
Class also has a [getResourceAsStream()|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/lang/Class.html#getResourceAsStream(java.lang.String)] which combines the first two steps into one. Ie use getResource() as you mentioned when you want to get a URL that some other class will use to read (eg an image) or use getResourceAsStream() when you are going to do the reading yourself.

If you haven't already, wait to purchase a Developer Account until you know what you are doing. Download Xcode and experiment, even put your prototype app on your iOS Device. (Or Mac, if it's Mac Dev you're into)

What to learn for developing in sharepoint

Hi all,
this may be a strange question but i'm gonna ask it anyway :)
For my work i started using sharepoint 2013 in office365. Our customers are starting to use it as well so we are going to help them set up the environments. My knowledge for the built-in functions is getting there but I would like to know what I should be
learning if I want to be developing custom solutions in sharepoint 2013 (office365).
I have some knowledge on javascript, and more ond HTML and CSS.
When I read some articles about it I can't get clear if I should only learn better javascript or start learning C# instead. Is there a reason to use both or will javascript be enough for developing in sharepoint?
If anyone can give me any insight in this it would be very helpful.

SharePoint 2013 (0365) does not support farm solutions and Sandbox solutions are deprecated and will be removed from the future releases. Developing SharePoint App solutions is the preferred way in SharePoint 2013, so your focus should be more on client
technologies such JavaScript, Knockout.js, Angular.js, CSS3, HTML 5, Bootstrap etc.
