Job planning for recurring inspection

Hi Experts,
I have created a material with inspection interval 1 days, maintained 09 inspection type, made inspection plan with usage 9 and uploaded unrestricted stock of that material in the storage location. Then i have created a variant in QA07 with initial run 1 day, inspection stock at lot creation and block batch . I have scheduled the variant through QA05 and checked release and finishing of the job. But the batches still remain in unrestricted stock and are not moved to quality stock. What may be the reason, please suggest.

Sm.

Dear SM
You should do these settings
1) Activate inspection type 09 in the material master
2) Maintain inspection interval of 1 days in the QM view
3) When UD is given for the 04 or 01 inspection lot for the first time system automaticaly updates the next inspection date.
4) You will have run QA07 or schedule it in QA05. In this maintain the materail, plant and run using one of the option and opening period which is intial run days
Inspection lot will created with 09 type. When the UD for this lot is given system automaticaly updates the Next inspection date.
please check and revert back

  • Inspection lot for recurring inspection was created without user decision

A manual inspection lot was created for recurring inspection. When reporting results QE51, the user decision option is disable, therefore I can not move the batch from Quality Inspection to Unrestricted.

I still don't see how you are manually creating the lots.  From the way you described it, the qty. is already in QI and you are then manually creating an 09 using QA01.  If this is what you are doing, the manually created 09's will NOT be linked to the inventory in QI and they will not be able to be used to move the stock out of QI.  NO MANUALLY CREATED inspection lots, (i.e transaction QA01), EVER control stock.  To control stock, the inspection lot must have been triggerred by another event or transaction that caused the lot to be created., (QA07, GR, stock transfer, delivery creation, etc...)
What I don't know, is how you got the material into QI in the first place.  How was the material moved into QI?  When stock is moved into QI that should trigger an inspection lot.  If QM is active for a material you shouldn't be able to use standard stock movements to place the material into QI.  If you moved it and then activated QM you should get errors when activating an inspectoin type unless you have followed specific procedures for creating 08 lots for exisitng QI inventory.
So  I think we are still missing some informaiton.

  • Inspection plan for inprocess inspection

    Hi QM Gurus
please let me know can I use an inspection plan for inprocess inspection
    Thanks
    TR

    Dear,
Inspection Plan is similar to routing, which will indicate what are all characteristics need to be checked / inspected when you receive a material. Is a master data. Once the inspection lot is created we will check the inspection plan and perform the inspection and give the defects recording and usage decision for the inspection lots.
So for inspection type 03 use routing with usage as 1 and status as 4 and control key as PP04 to specify the inspection characteristics.
when u cofirm that perticular operation it will ask to record the results. Inspection lot get genarated during order release this we can see in the order header data assignment tab. PP04 assignement says this operation is relevent for inprocess inspection and we need to assign MIC's for this which are relevent created in QS21 for this also sampling procedure created in QDV1.

    Hi
    Vemula
Generally as Per SAP std Routing is used for inspection of 03 type of inspection.
but you can also customize the Inspection task list Usage for Inprocess Inspection.
    This is possible through
    QCC0>Quality Inspection>Insp lot creation>Assign Insp type to origine>
here informt of 03 inspection type you can assign

    Hi, Craig
Want to share with you my progress.
I config QM in the such way:
    step\ transaction\ config
    Master Inspection Characteristic     \ QS21 \     +
    Material -> Quality management-> Inspection Type \     MM01 \     09
    QM-stock\     MM01 \     -
    Material Specification\     QS61 \     -
Batch valuation without material specification \     spro -> Plant Customizing\     +
    Inspection Plan \     QP01 \     +
    Inspection Points \     active-no     \  +
Inspection Points Type -> Last inspected sample is valid \     spro     \ 150: +
    Physical Samples\     active- no     \  -
    Sample-drawing procedure\     QPV2  \     -
    Sampling Procedure \     QDV1     \  +
    Inspection Method     \  QS31 \      -
    Recurring insp.: job planning     \  QA05 \   +
Everything is ok, but when I want to record result (in qe51n) for inspection point and at the end of the process press the button "Inspection point" -> "Batch carac." -> "Continue"  -> error appear "ABAP/4 error during dynamic assign beyond program bounds".
Is it because I haven't edit FM from config 150 Inspection point?
I don't know how to do it. And deside to config all the process before give to edit that FM to our ABAP-consultants.
    Thanks a lot.

  • SAP QM Default Inspection Plan for all Inspection Lots created in the Plant

Scenario: We have a Proto type plant in which Daily 15 to 20 materials are created every day. We have only one inspection plan for all the materials.
Problem: We don't want to do material assignment in the Inspection Plant header every time a new material is created
Requirement: Is there any way to default the inspection plan for all the inspection lots created in the Plant by Standard Configuration or User Exit.
Your answers will be much appreciated and rewarded.
    Thanks in advance,
    Thiyagu

    Hi,
In our case Creation of Inspection lots are controlled by QM View of Material Master. Our problem is to find alternative for assignment of New Materials in the Plan header in Tcode QP02, as we have only ONE INSPECTION PLAN. So our expection is all QM Inspection Lot created in the Plant should always get assigned to the SINGLE INSPECTION PLAN, with out doing any assignment of material in the Plan.
    Thanks,
    Thiyagu.

  • Single inspection plan for all Inspection Plan usages

    Hi
I have to prepare a single inspection plan, than can be used against inspection type '04' and '15' and '01'.
Please tell me which inspection plan usage I should use, I tried '3' = Universal, but at inspection lot creation the system is unable to find inspection plan.
    Thanks in advance.

My customer manufactures semi-finished good, some times he can purchase semi-finished from the market. Sample are reserved for future testing as well.
so following inspection types are required for the same material
    1) GR against PO                '01'
    2) GR against Production    '04'
    3) Sample Management   '15'
Almost all the time, the same specifications are tested and my customer wants to maintain a single inspection plan.
I have one option that is to create 3 inspection types using all the above  inspection types and to use the same "Usage" say '5' in customizing of Inspection Type. But I don't know the consequences
Please give me other solution or highlight the consequences of my solution
    Kindly help.

  • Recurring inspection for blocked stock

    Hi all
I am trying to create an inspection lot for recurring inspection for my material. Now the stock for this material is currently blocked. What I want to know is if its possible to have blocked stock moved into quality inspection for recurring inspection.
    Regards
    Obie

    Hi Obie,
I am not sure but it may not be feasible to move the batch stock from block stock to quality inspection with recurring inspection. As I checked in OMJJ, I did not find QA07 transaction code as allowable for 349 movement.
On the contrary, once the batch reaches to its expiry, stock can be posted to QI or block from unrestricted.
I would suggest to use 08 inspection type for transferring material from block to quality inspection.

  • Customize Inspection type 09 Recurring Inspection

    Hello,
Our customer needs to analyze how to customize Recurring Inspection. My question is the way of warking of this. I have seen on saphelp some questions, but it is not enough for us.
It is possible to create automatically and inspection lot when we have any stock movement??
Actually the customer have a pool Z, which show al the inspection lot created. Across this pool, the user select usage decision for the stock.
My question is how to configure 09 Recurring inspection, in a similar way that 01,05 or 08.
    Hope your answers.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    For Recurring inspection
1.In material master maintain inspection interval in days
    2.Maintain 09 inspection type
3.Run the transaction QA07 (assign the initial run days and other fields etc., as per requirment).U will get inspection lots
    4. If u require automatic inspection lots goto t-code QA05 do the job planning.

  • Creat 'recurring inspection' in Deadline monitoring of Batches

    Hi guys,
    Conditions:
    (1) Today is '11.24.2011''.
    (2) MSC3N
    - 'Shelf Life Exp. Date' is '11.30.2011' and 'Next Inspection' is '12.10.2011'.
    (3) QA07
    - 'Initial run in days' is '30' and Check radiobutton at 'To insp.stock at lot creation' in the 'Additional goods movement at time of recurring inspection' box.
'Initial run in days' is '00' and Check 'Block batch' in the 'Batch status change when expiration date is reached' box.
i think, in order for the 'Shelf Life Exp. Date' to arrive first, no recurring inspection lot created??
But, when i am running QA07, the system automatically creates 'recurring inspection'.
The inspection lot not to make automatically, it will be able to setting??

    Dear,
The function for recurring inspections allows you to monitor the quality of batches contained in the warehouse stock.
For this purpose, an inspection date is calculated (in addition to the expiration date) when a batch is received in a goods receipt shipment
To be able to determine the inspection date, you must enter an inspection interval when you maintain the QM data in the material master record. The inspection interval defines the time period that must expire before the next recurring inspection must be carried out.
A program that is run periodically (batch job) monitors the batch materials in the warehouse and causes one of the following activities to be carried out when the inspection date is reached or exceeded:
    Inspection lot creation
Inspection lot creation and batch posting to inspection stock
Inspection lot creation and changing status of batch to "not released"
If the expiration date is reached or exceeded for a batch, the batch is blocked. This changes the batch status to "not released" or causes the batch quantity to be posted to blocked stock, if the batch status management function is not active. In this case, an inspection lot is not created.
When you make a usage decision to accept an inspection lot, the batch quantity is posted to unrestricted-use stock or the batch status is changed to "released," depending on the option you selected.
The system calculates the next inspection date for the batch and stores it in the batch record.

  • Recurring Inspection Error.

    Dear Friends,
    I have a problem:
A Batch is posted in QI (Qnty:300gm) for recurring inspection lot. Now according to the inspection plan for the inspection lot is having sample size 500gm i.e. greater then the lot size. ow the system is not allowing me to attach the tasklist to the lot. In this condition I need to cancel teh lot but I can't pls let me know how can I calcel.
In this kind of case the batch is sampled and then rejacted due to laking sample quntity but to do such in SAP alos I need to assign the tasklist and then I can do the UD.
I am supposed to create an dummy inspection plan with zero sample quantity to resolve it. But it's not the permanent solution and also looking violeting the regulatory laws
    With Regards,
    Shyamal

For small lot sizes you create a plan for doing those types of inspections.  On the header page of the inspection plans near the bottom, are some quantities fields.  These qtys. are the lot sizes that the plan should be applied to.  So you create one plan for lots sizes 100kg to 99999999kg.  Then another plan for lot sizes 1 kg to 99 kg.  And then a third one for lot sizes 0 to 1 kg.  These then have the right sampling procedures to calculate the right sample size for the lot size being inspected.

  • Difficulty in Recurring Inspection .. (TCode : QA07)

    HI
I was creating Lot for recurring Inspection using TCode :QA07 , i entered material no , plant and  batch and Inspection Lot Creation in Additional good movement at the time of recurring inspection. when i execute it i face this message "No batches have been found for processing". Kindly Guide me through this.
Kindly Guide a bit about the usage of TCode : QA05.

    Sam Ahmed

What is the "next inspection date" value in the batch record?  Also, what was the window you used in QA07?  1 day? 30 days?
The next inspection date must be exceeded or fall within the window used in QAO7.

  • How to use Same Inspection plan for Multiple Plants?

    Hello,
When I create a Process Order for material (M1), release and save it for a Plant A then I get the Inspection lot automatically.
Now I have another Plant B that we have created. We would like to use the same Inspection plan that has been created for Plant A and M1
So in the changed mode(QP02) of the Inspection plan for Plant A in the material assignment tab I added the Material M1 and the Plant B. I am assuming this means when I create the Process order for M1 in Plant B then it should use the same Inspection plan.
But when I create the Process Order for M1 for Plant B, release and save it then it does not created the Inspection lot automatically(though I can create Inspection lot manually)
Can you tell me if there is setting that will allow me to create the Inspection lot automatically on saving the Process order which should use the Inspection plan that I just assigned.
And also let me know if there is a better way to handle same Inspection Plan for same material but multiple Plants.
    Thanks
    SAP Fans...

    Dear,
For your message my understanding is that you are not getting Inspection lot created in Plant"B". Inspection lot for a material would get created based on the Inspection Setup for the material master "QM View", so compare the QM for the material in both plants and correct it for Plant "B".
Probably I feel Inspection Setup is not complete for the material in Plant "B" - Generally when extending material by copying referance, in the QM view you need to click the Inspection Setup Button, for the data to be copied...otherwise it does not copy the Inspection setup from the referance plant.
