Dear Experts,
My client has received one processing job for the 1st time. How to map the scenario in Sap.
the customer will provide plain bottle for printing in plastic boxes to be returned after printing in the same box.
My idea is as follows.
1>Create the material plain bottle as sales order stock non-valuated as no excise is involved.
2>Create finished material with a new material type
3>Create sales order
3> Create BOM and routing for finished material assigning plain bottle as component.
4> Create Production order with a new order type with respect to the sales order
5> Create condition type in sales where only service tax and education cess are involved.
6> a new gl will also needs to be created i.e Job processing charges
Please confirm whether I am on the right track and what configuration needs to be maintained in FI, MM, CO and SD.

I need suggestion for below mentioned problem.
We will be receiving suppose 10000 bottle for printing as job work. There is 1% breakage allowance....
Now if 100 bottles are broken we need to return to the customer those 100 bottles in broken condition.
How to map this.
What we have opined.......
As we have created plain bottle as non-valuated. We will receive the same through 501 E mvt. type i.e without PO against SO in a different storage location.
Instead of creating a seperate material code for broken bottle we will generate the same plain bottle through 531 movt type on order itself in a separate storage location. Then do 502 movement return to customer.
Please suggest the best method...

create a TCODE say TONE..
in this give the screen number 9000..
now again right click on the program name
create a TCODE say Tsecond
in this give the screen number 9001...

Intrastat report wrong when job processing is involved

I got a problem with the Intrastat Add-on.
For Example: I buy goods in France for 100u20AC . From there they are send directly to the Netherlands for job processing which costs 50u20AC. Then the processed goods are send to me in Germany. The german federal office for statistics wants me to report only the import of the processed goods (worth 150u20AC) but I get a bill for the unprocessed goods from France and a bill for the processing from the Netherlands. The Intrastat Add-on now reports the import of unprocessed goods from France and the processing material from the Netherlands. Is there any possibility to solve that problem ?

Hierarchies Job Failing The job process could not communicate with the dat

Hi Experts,
We have a group of hierarchies that run as a separate job on the DS schedules. The problem is this when we schedule the job to run during the production loads it fails but when we run immediately after it fails it runs completely fine. So it basically means that if i run it manually it runs but when its scheduled to run with the production job it fails. Now the interesting thing is If i schedule the job to run anytime after or before the production jobs are done. It works fine.
The error i get is
The job process could not communicate with the data flow <XXXXXX> process. For details, see previously logged
                                                           error <50406>.
Now this XXXXX DF has only Horizontal Flatenning and it does not run as separate process because if i have it has separate process it fails with an EOF . So i removed the run as separate process and changes the DF to use in memory .
Any Suggestion on this problem...

Thanks Mike.. I was hoping its a memory issue but the thing i don't understand is when the job is scheduled to run with the production job it fails. when i manually run the job during the production job it runs, this kinda baffles me.

TAKE CARE: Nothing was working in VB6, but in .NET it sets the default value !

When you assign Nothing to an object variable, it no longer refers to any object instance. If the variable had previously referred to an instance, setting it to Nothing does not terminate the instance itself. The instance is terminated, and the memory and system resources associated with it are released, only after the garbage collector (GC) detects that there are no active references remaining.
Garbage Collector distroyes the objects at the end of the sub of function, not in the loop.
So use local variables when you loading the 7000 items. For me working fine and i do not have a memory problems. I am loading 50000 items with prices from EDI file, and memory usage stops at 120MB.
1st solution create a sub or a function to populate the data, and run this for every items by as single rutin,

This free up the memory when Garbage
2nd solution: use inner loop definition

I recommend to use Friend Class keyword for your addon declaration and do not use modules.
Modules and shared classes will be free up the memory when your program terminates execution.

C309a receives print job, processes it, nothing prints...page is blank

After changing all ink cartridges (new, HP cartridges), nothing prints. The printer is receiving the print job, processing it, and blank pages are produced. I have cleaned it, and aligned it, however, the align is not successful. When I try a copy job, same thing. Scanner works, but nothing is printed. Blank pages. Please help!

Same here - absolutely disgusted with HP and the garbage I bought from them - $300 down the drain.
No solutions anywhere - no interest from them as a business at all.

Job processing - Result ALV GRID

Hi folks!
I'm not very familiar with job processing. I'm having a report that displays an alv grid as a result of it. However it seems that the amount of registers to be read from the database now they are much, much more, so the users are getting the dump of time exceeded.
What I have in mind is to run this on background, but I know there are some limitations when running on background. My question here is that:
Is it possible to have an alv grid report to run as a Job, or I would have to replace the alv by simple report with Write statement?

To Run F110 First we hav to give run Date & identification,
1) select PARAMETER TAB Enter Posting date , Document Date , Company code Pament method , Next pament date And specify the Customer / Vendor Number for which u like to do the payment.
2) in Additional Log Select Check Box Due date check , Payment method selection if not scussefull, Line items of the payment documents & Vendor / Customer number . SAVE THIS.
3) Slect the PROPOSAL RUN ( START IMD )
4) Select PAYEMNT RUN ( STArt IMD) RUN
5) if u want to print the document Mantain varint & Specify the varint in front the progeramme

Background Job processing

After writing a report, I used this Function Module LIST_TO_ASCI to copy my report to an internal table (DOWNTAB) because Ill use that internal table to download a text file on the server using dataset.

My big problem is this, when Im running my program ordinarily (not as background job), Im getting all the pages downloaded correctly but when I run it as background job (using SM36), Im only getting the last page of my report being downloaded. Definitely, I cant debug it because its in background. I cant figure out why. Hope that I stated my problem clearly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You can debug batch jobs by going to 'SM37', type in 'JDBG' in the
command line ( no '/' ), put the cursor on the job and press enter - will
take you to the job in debug mode.
You can do this only after the job has finished execution. This will simulate the exact background scenario with the same selection screen values as used in the job also sy-batch will set to 'X'.
So type in the transaction code 'JDBG' and place your cursor on the job after It has finished. It will take you to a SAP program in debug mode. Step through this program which is about 10 lines, after this your program will be executed in the debug mode.
Steps
1. Create variant called BACKGROUND for program to be debugged.
2. Execute ZDEBUGBG (pgm code below) in background for immediate processing.
3. Execute transaction SM50.
4. Select process that runs ZDEBUGBG.
5. Goto 'Program/Session' 'Program' 'Debugging'.
A se80 debug session will open.
6. Change variable W_EXIT to 'E'.
7. Step thru (F6) until ZWBTEST comes up.
1. Go to Transaction SM66 and find your work porocess.
Select the line work process is on and click on the Debugging button.
If this is a custom program, you can put a wait statement in the code to buy yourself sometime.
2. Go to Transaction SM50. From the tool bar "Program/session"->Program->Debugging.
goto SM37 and from Program menu(not sure.. try other menu's)
-->Catchjob . it will goto the active job in debugging mode.

Background Job Processing Spool Retention period

In my program i am calling another ABAP program and sumitting the same as a background job(using Job_Submit,Close etc.)
In this case i can view the Spool generated by the called program(using sm37).
But this spool exists for a very less period in the system.Is it possible to specify a retention period,as 90 days in my case.?

You must set print parameters before the printing process starts.
When printing lists after creating them, the system uses the print format specified in the print parameters to split the completed list and fit it onto the print pages, truncating it if necessary.
When printing lists while creating them, the system uses the print format to actually format the list in the program.
Print parameters are set either interactively by the user or from within the program.
For each print process, the spool system needs a complete and consistent set of print parameters. In ABAP, the structure PRI_PARAMS (ABAP Dictionary) represent a set of print parameters.
When passing the print parameters interactively, the system displays a dialog box after starting the report, on which the user has to enter the most important print parameters.
It's shown below which input field of the Print List Output dialog window conform to which PRI_PARAMS component.

Error in Background Job Processing.

Dear All,
         I am using a background job for processing the outbound delivery.
         In the user exit in delivery program I am checking for the combination of
         ship to party, Material & Batch of outbound delivery in a ztable. If the combination exists in
         Ztable I do not want to save & ignore this delivery creation and continue with the next
         delivery order creation thru the batch job.
         However I need to give an error / warning message for the delivery orders
         which are not created so I am giving the error message as success message
         in the below format :-

Check system log and also check work process trace, to know the error.
I feel that it could be Authorization issue, you don't have sufficient authorization to do.
