The profile will depend almost entirely on the company and the project. If your application architecture makes extensive use of packages, procedures, and function, that's going to be very different than applications that are designed with no stored procedures that puts all the logic in the middle tier. If you use an ORM tool, you probably rarely write SQL. If your project doesn't use an ORM, they probably write SQL by hand. Some groups will have dedicated PL/SQL developers, some will have the Java developers write PL/SQL, some will have certain Java developers that specialize in PL/SQL.
