Join conference by phone just clicking in number shown in invitation
Hi, is it possible to join conference just by clicking the the phone number in invitation not dialling manually?
I have lync 2010. Is it possible on all phone devices: iphone, windows phone, android?

I don't have 2010 in front of me, but if the number isn't a hyperlink, my thought would be that you could make your own hyperlink to look something like this:
<a href=callto:+556666888888>Click to join via phone</a>
Also try tel:+555666 which might work a bit more nicely.
Which you might be able to append into the default meeting invite:

I do have 2013 in front of me, and I can actually just click the number to join.
Edit: I just tested the tel: link which seemed to work with a set of 2010 clients and an iOS device.

I upgraded to ios7 on my iphone 4s and now many of my apps are prompting me to connect to itunes for push notifications. In most cases, i can just click ok to this prompt and carry on, but it is still a real nuisance. However with the app dropbox and find my phone, I can not get out of the prompt. I have to reboot my phone to be able to use it again. Any suggestions?

You've reached the right place for help! Once the mobile number is changed, you must activate the new number on your phone. Depending on the model phone you have, you may have to simply reboot your device. If a 3G phone, you may dial *228 (send) and select option number one to activate.
Once completed dial #832 (send) to place a test call and ensure that new number is activated. Let us know if this helps.

Just added a number of photos from my phone. It worked fine and I printed other photos but shut it down and Now it wont relaunch!! help.
I need a special tool just to access my own photos?
I suggested "Find any File" because it is easier to use than the Finder's search - the results there will depend, on what you have included in your Spotlight index.
To search using the Finder, open a Finder window; press the key combination ⌘F, and then set the search window to search "This Mac" and "Kind is 'Photo Library'"
Only, if the library should have become corrupted, this may not work. And the search will not look inside the packages.
The whole iPhoto library directory is only 556 MB so I guess the videos are lost for good.
How is the "Importing > Copy items to the iPhoto Library" flag set? See my last post.
If you imported with "store files" in there original location, the photos and videos will have remained on the card, until the crad has been erased.
Is there a way to start iPhoto from scratch so at least I can start over and have it not destory all my data next time?
You can create a new iphoto library, by using the command "File > Switch to Library > Create New".
Is there way to import my photos and videos without using iPhoto?
You can use the utility "Image Capture", that comes with every Mac to import your photos to folders on your Mac.
This program is horrendous!

Join conference via Lync call rather than Call Me At
We have deployed Lync Server 2013 and are just beginning to deploy it in small doses to portions of the organization. We are using a combination of Lync 2010 and 2013 for clients. This post is regarding the Lync 2013 client.
We use Lync with Cisco telephony via Remote Call Control. We do have PC-to-PC calling enabled in addition to RCC (the Telephony setting in Lync Control Panel on the user accounts is "Remote Call Control"). We are not using Enterprise
Voice.
After deploying Lync as simply an IM + telephony client, we have begun to focus on rolling out the web conferencing functionality. In doing so, we have noticed strange behavior which I describe below.
Let us assume that someone other than me creates web conference by selecting two people, including me, in their Lync contacts list in the client, right clicks, and selects "Start a conference all" and then chooses "Lync call". I
see a Lync toast notification appear, inviting me to a conference. It says the conference organizer's name and says "Conference Call". If I click the toast to accept the conference, my Cisco telephone extension immediately begins to ring.
In the meantime, in the Lync conference in the client I see "Join Conference Call" and "Other". If I answer answer my telephone extension or push the Join Conference Call button, I am successfully joined to the Lync audio conference
and can speak with anyone else that joined the conference, whether they are using Lync audio or Cisco telephony.
The problem is that there are cases where we want to do a video conference. I am aware that can only be done if using Lync audio rather than the Cisco telephony. I can disconnect from the conference call by hanging up my Cisco extension.
When I do so, the Lync conference in the client shows a notification that gives me the option to rejoin the conference. The "Rejoin" button has a down arrow, and if I expand it I can select "Rejoin using Lync Call" and if I do that
I can now see others' webcams and can share my own webcam with the conference.
My question is: how can I elect to join the conference in the first place with a Lync call rather than having the Lync conference bridge dial my Cisco extension? There does not seem to be a way to do this that we can get to work. For instance,
I mentioned that after I have clicked the Lync toast notification after being added to the conference and my Cisco phone begins ringing that I see the options "Join Conference Call" and "Other" in Lync client. If I open the Other
options, I see "Join using Lync Call" as an option. If I select that option, my Cisco phone answers the call and I am joined to the Lync audio conference with my Cisco phone and not Lync audio.
Please note that I already checked the Phone section in the Lync 2013 client options and the box "Before I join meetings, ask which audio device I want to use" is checked and the "Join meeting audio" drop-down box is set to "Lync".Sorry, I misread your question and now see that I did not pre-emptively answer it. after doing so, the behavior is the same: the Cisco phone automatically rings and any action to join the conference results in the Cisco phone extension being picked up.
Basically, it seems that if you use that "Start a Conference Call" option from the Lync contacts list, the Lync preferences set in the recipients' Lync clients are ignored. If you schedule a Lync conference via Outlook or people use the Lync meeting
URL in their Internet browser, it does respect the preferences correctly. It seems like it might be a bug.
I would be interested if any other Lync Server 2013 users with Lync client 2013 and using RCC could repeat my tests and see if they have the same issue. -
somehow I must've clicked a button that took away my drop down box when I go to use my Google search so different sites that I go to a lot I would always just click it when the drop-down box came up I would click again and hit search and you would bring that page up but even if I go to a site once I leave that I try to click and make the drop-down box come up again with the new search and it nothing happens so the problem is I need my drop down box to come back up to all the places that I visit kind of like a history of like I said I would just click and it would come up by itself now the drop-down box won't come up anymore so I need somebody to tell me what to do to bring my drop-down box back also I am new to computers so I don't know a lot so don't be real technical thanks for the help merry Christmas from Joe
It's not a matter of me assuming to restore it, once the error comes up, the only next step I can do is to restore it. I can't access any of the iphones settings in itunes or anything, it's a mandatory restore. If I just cancel the sync (before restoring) and disconnect the phone, all my apps crash on opening: aka unusable phone. So I have literally no choice but to restore every time the error shows up if I want my phone to work.
I have no idea where I may have duplicate files as it doesn't tell me, so if that is the problem (which I don't think it is) then I don't know where I have to go to delete the duplicates.
And the duplicate file error still doesn't explain why leaving iTunes to restore the phone doesn't work and me having to drag the window around. I know it sounds utterly ridiculous, my friend didn't believe me when I told him either but then I showed him and he was as confused as I am. If I just leave the restore to do its own thing at it's own pace, it will loa maybe 20% then fail for whatever reason. -
i damaged my iphone 5 and have been sent a new one, but i do not have enough storage to back up my phone and do not want to pay for more storage. can i get all of my contacts, photos, etc. on my new phone just by logging into my icloud account?
Not photos, just data synced with iCloud shown in Settings>iCloud. If you don't have sufficient storage to back up to iCloud, back up to your computer instead using iTunes (connect you phone to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to ths Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now). Also transfer your purchases to your iTunes library (connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases). If you have photo stream photos older than 30 days tha you wan to save, save these to your camera roll before backing up (tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward facing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll).
When setting up your new phone, when given the option choose Restore from iTunes Backup and restore the backup you made earlier. -
In pre-CC versions could just type a number to select a page to print and now you can't
I just recently upgraded to CC and I produce thousands of files and have to output PDF files of each page and name them differently (ie. filename-front.pdf for page 1 and filename-back.pdf for page 2). I used to be able to do this very fast by just typing the number of the page and then click return and it prints or outputs a PDF. Now I have to hit tab 3 times to get the cursor to go into the page number field and then type the number to get it to work. Is there not a way to do the same thing I've been doing for the past 15 years I've been using InDesign?
Unless there is a script for forcing the focus to the page range box, hitting tab 3 times seems to be what's needed.
Perhaps you should consider filing a feature request for a change back.

Google, for other options
Your "other" of 6 GB may include corrupted data or file sytem errors. If after removing the messages there is still >2GB, you will need to restore the phone in iTunes, first using a backup (made after deleting the messages) and if needed as a new iPhone.

All the way at the bottom is the battery info. It states that you'll get up to 12 hours of battery on 3G/LTE. Of course, that number is obtained by following a very specific set of steps - the real world number is less.

I have an I phone 4S and I usually back it up threw I Cloud but since my phone is pretty old and has been shutting off on me I decided to back it up in I tunes. I connected the phone and clicked Back Up Now. When it was done I picked up the phone and tried to open an app and discovered that all of my apps have been restored as if I had just down loaded them from the app store. So I lost all progress on them. Is there anything I can do to change it back? And I don't understand what I did wrong.
This means the iPhone has not been connected or synced with your computer since the passcode lock was enabled on the iPhone and too late now.
