Join engine stop

I have a problem with Join engine. It stop sometimes whithout logs, .... I have a Windows 2000 server.

Hi,
Can you provide more information? Do you have a registered support contract with Sun?
What was the Join Engine doing the time it stopped? Which version of Meta-Directory are you using?
Is this reproducible, you should provide more information.

  • Join-engine doesn't pick up / process changes (add) in metaview

    Hi,
I have a meta-dir 5.1 running on a solaris box with connectors to oracle, ads en edirectory. Up till now everything was working fine, until for no appearant reason the join-engine stopped processing add or modify events in my metaview.
The strange is that is doesn't process the add or modify events of an entry in my directory, but it does pick up the delete events.
I have enabled all logging options to be the most verbose and I came up with this entry in my join-engines logs:
    [2003/06/06 11:04:45.14 +0200] 852:327504 1 DCNS ChangelogPlugIn: PluginRegID=0005dd90 Change_not_in_scope 26 'LDAP://monteverdi.soo.dto.tudelft
    .nl/uid=999809,ou=people,o=someorg'
The join-engine simply quits processing the (changelog) entry and resumes its polling for other changes....
What does that mean "change_not_scope"? The number behind the message is my changelog number containing the add event and object it referrs to. Why or what determines that this change is not in scope? And why only for add or modify events where as a delete does get processed?
Can anybody shed some light on this?
    Kind regards,
    Thomas

  • Join Engine: Removing Attributes from Deleted CV Entry

    Platform: Solaris
    Directory: 5.1SP1
    Meta: 5.0SP1
    Issue/Question:
I have a connector view setup to flow attributes (telephoneNumber, etc.) to entries in the meta view. The connector view joins entries using the uid. If an entry is deleted from the connector view the link to the connector view is removed however the attributes (telephoneNumber, etc.) are not. Is there a way to achieve this?
    Current Config
    Join Rules:
    Rule 1 - uid=%uid%
    Attribute Flow:
    Rule 1 - telephonenumber->telephonenumber, pager->pager, mobile->mobile
    DN Mapping Rules:
    None
    Filters:
    None
    Capabilities:
    -Attributes Flow to Meta View

Let me explain in a bit more detail. I am using the Universal Text Connector to import phone numbers into my Meta-Directory. The telephone database contains the employees id and telephone number. When the data is bulk loaded it will add the entries to the Connector View. The Join Engine will then link the Connector View entry to the Meta View entry that has already been created by another Connector View. The attributes are added and all is well, so far. When the entry in the external data source is removed, the entry in the Connector View is removed. The Join Engine will notice that the Connector View entry has been removed and will remove all associations to that Connector View, but the attributes that were added as a result of that entry are not removed (The telephone number is still in the Meta View entry).

  • PCIe tx engine stops due to trn_tdst_rdy_n is deasserted

    HI,
I have implemented DMA engine using Spartan-6 45T PCIe endpoint Block v1.3. It performs DMA write and sends the data to the host memory. When the application is started, after sending few data the Tx Engine stops due to trn_tdst_rdy_n is high.
The application software running on the host system is also halted as it is waiting for the data from the core, but the core has deasserted the trn_tdst_rdy_n. What can be the reason?

It likely is a malformed TLP packet going into the core. Check that the payload size field in the header matches the actual number of data beats, that the transaction doesn't cross 4KB boundaries and you're respecting the maximum payload size of the link.

  • Keyboard shortcuts to switch between search engines stopped working

The latest version of Firefox looks great but unfortunately the keyboard shortcuts that I use all the time to switch between search engines stopped working which leaves me stuck with version 33.1.
I'm talking about the shortcuts Ctrl + ↑ and Ctrl + ↓ described in this page:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly#w_search
    Please solve this! Thanks.

    This worked perfectly, many thanks!!!

  • RT Shared Variable Engine stops publishing

I have an RT system (PXI-8106) that hosts quite a few network published shared variables (NPSVs) for communicating to a Host PC. My Host and RT executables have been functioning fine on their respective systems for weeks, but just recently, I started running into problems with my NPSVs. My Host application has indicators to display DAQ data being acquired on the RT target and transferred via NPSV, and lately the application will update normally fine for several hours and then the displays will stop updating all of a sudden. If I reboot the RT target, the communication is restored...for a couple hours, anway, until we get another NPSV lockup. I can see no rhyme or reason as to why it stops updating the variables when it does; it seems to just randomly crap out.
It just happened again, so I brought my development laptop down to run the Distributed System Manager. Sure enough, the NPSVs all stopped updating (latest timestamp was about 30 min previous to my check). I know, however, that the RT system is still running (I can open remote front panels), and none of the NPSV calls use their error input clusters, so an upstream error would not be causing the issue. Also of note, I have a couple NPSVs that are aliased to PSP URLs (NI_SystemState\CPULoad), which do continue to update while the remaining NPSVs do not. So that seems to indicate to me that it is not a networking issue, nor is it a Shared Variable Engine issue.
I also programmatically deploy the NPSV library from the Host to the RT target on initialization, so I know they are deployed properly. Redeploying does not kickstart the RT SVE into updating. The only thing that seems to solve the problem (albeit temporarily) is a reboot of the RT target.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing the RT to stop updating the NPSVs? I have already check the NPSV Troubleshooting KB (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/6E37AC5435E44F9F862570D2005FEF25?OpenDocument), and none of those suggestions appear applicable in this case (most address networking issues that result in never being able to read the NPSVs in the first place, whereas my problem is NPSV communication dropping out arbitrarily). Has anyone else run into such a problem?
    Thanks!

I think I have an idea as to why my NPSV communication was freezing. One of my NPSVs is a 2D String Array of Alarm History Data, which just published infomation about alarms that have been triggered on the RT system; each new alarm appends a 10 element string array onto the 2D string array. For the most recent testing we were running, there was a recurring alarm condition that was not applicable (i.e. did not need to be handled--it just kept adding new elements onto the history array), and I am guessing that the array may have just gotten too big. When the RT target kept updating the NPSV (at 1 Hz) with more and more 2D String Data, it may have caused a buffer overflow for the shared variable.
I will attempt to recreate the problem on another system to verify the cause.

  • J2EE Engine Stopped with Error 11113

    Hi All,
After I changed some values in the Portal UME to connect to ECC 6.0, after the restart of cluster the J2EE is not coming up and getting stopped with Error 11113.
I have changed the Datasource to ABAP and tried resetting the values in Configtool as per the previous threads in the forum but could not get my J2EE engine up.

    Hi Karthik,
I have checked all the UME properties and are fine. I am trying to connect to ECC 6.0 Clnt 800 with Communication user I created called "portaluser" and the pwd along with system number and application host.
I tried giving all the details in Configtool > Ume properties but again the same problem J2EE is getting stopped with the same error.
About the SAPJSF user, it has been created while installation as a Dailog user in the EP system. I logged into the EP system and checked that in SU01. It there but not as a communication user but as a Dialog user.
Can you let me know what could be the issue ?
    Regards,
    Srikar

  • Taptic Engine stop working after workout

I don't know if others have experienced this, but so far after receiving my watch I went out and had two 5km runs, and each time I finished running the Taptic engine would stop working. For example, if I Force Touch, there's no "vibration", and no buzz when getting a phone call or when the alarm goes off etc. Don't know if this is a software bug or hardware bug. Anyone else experienced the same thing?
The only way to get the Taptic engine to work again is to shut down the watch each time after running, and then restart it again. Kind of annoying.
P.S. Apple Watch Stainless Steel + white Sport Band.

Call Apple support. This isn't normal.

  • Kanaka Engine stops responding

Running Kanaka 2.7.1 on OES 11 on a VM (ESXi host) 4 CPUs 6 GB of RAM. Just to note the issues I am having now also occurred in our previous install on OES 2 SP 3 with version 2.6. Daily the server will stop responding. No rhyme or reason, the only way to get it to recover is reboot. Here is what I see in the engine logs.

Engine is running logs continue until reboot. During this time No web access, no logins, nothing to the server.

I have been watching this due almost hourly and finally called Condrey who determined not a kanaka issue that it is a Novell issue and they do not help on the Novell Linux side at all. The issue that I have uncovered is that after some point oom killer gets invoked. Different processes will invoke the oom killer but eventually several processes get killed. I am currently running OES 11 SP 1 fully patched as of yesterday. MY Kanaka server is a VM in VMware with 6 GB of RAM and 2 dual cores. I read a TID yesterday on Overcommit Memory (Support | Overcommit Memory in SLES) and tried moving to Mode 1 with no impact. I have also thrown limits in to JAVA_Opts for max Memory to no avail. I am appending a portion of the logfile out of my server for the latest crash.....PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Where can a valid poll schedule be set?

After biting the bullet and ordering more RAM, my computer now is working a ton better. So that must have been the main issue. With 8 GB RAM, I can now even run Parallels fluidly (better than my work PC!) where before simple things like logging in to my MBP after reboot could take forever.
The place I went to had several other people getting RAM upgrades at the same time as me, so between this and other comments I've seen in discussions here and elsewhere on the Internets, I take it to mean that either Apple should bump up the base RAM on its new machines, and/or stop charging so much for additional RAM.
I refused to believe a Pro machine bought with Lion installed would come with too little RAM for light to medium usage, but it was apparently the case. I'll mark this as a correct answer and hope some other poor soul will come across this thread and be helped by it.

  • Crystal Query Engine stopped working in VS2005

    Post Author: JayZee
    CA Forum: .NET
    Hi
I am using the Crystal Reports built into VS2005.
I have a VB.Net application that has worked for months but when I loaded it up tonight and tried to view a Crystal Report I got 2 error messages:
    1.  Failed to open document2.  Failed to create the Crystal Query Engine
Other forum posts suggest it is a consequence of installing and uninstalling an application that uses the merge modules and proposed solutions suggest uninstalling Crystal Reports and then Re-installing it via the add/remove programs.
Are there any other suggestions as typically I have a tight deadline and really want to resolve this quickly.
Thanks in advance for any help
    Jayzee

    Hi All
Some further info about my problem which hasn;t been resolved yet.
I attempted to uninstall and re-install Crystal Reports using Add/Remove programs and changing the install - This didn't work.
I then attempted a re-install of Visual Studio via Add/Remove programs - this hasn't worked either.
I can't add reports, edit or view reports, I can't create a Crystal Reports project.  When I try to run the application I get the 2 messages above.  some more info on those is:
Try to open an existing report and I get a messagebox that says Crystal Reports ActiveX Designer Failed to open document
When I click on OK I get another message box that says Microsoft Visual Studio Failed to create the Crystal Query Engine.
Agaqin, any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Certain sites I visit need the IE engine to work right. Out of the blue the IE engine quit working. When I select the Firefox IE tab, I now get a blank page. I also noticed that Firefox 3.6.3 needs to finish downloading but when I click "resume", nothing happens.

    HELP!

  • Mercury Playback Engine stop working in Premiere CC 2014

    Hello All,
After upgrading to the latest CC 2014 I've been experiencing issues with real time editing when working in Premiere.   I've checked to make sure that CUDA is selected and it is, but I'm not getting the performance from the CUDA.  I've changed the settings to "Software" and I get the same results when changing between the two.  I also noticed that the CUDA is now available in "Media Encoder CC 2014" but I'm not sure if it's really using it or not, just like Premiere I can see the CUDA is available..  I also upgraded to the latest NVIDIA driver which I'm not ruling that out either.  Please help.

    Hello John,
Thanks for the reply.  Yes, I am 100% Premiere  Pro is/was using CUDA.  One indication is the yellow that shows up in the timeline.  When in "Software" mode every change is red until I render it.  With the CUDA edit changes show nothing until I make a change, it turns yellow.
In getting more screenshots to show I found my problem.  I feel like a complete noob.  The problem was/is, I added a 16bit effect (circle) to an adjustment layer which is not rendered in real time and when I made a change I forgot. duh

  • NSM Engine Start and Stops

I have installed NSM 3.0.4.4 on a SLES 11 SP1, OES 11 SP1. After doing battle with certificates and other issues, I had finally got it up and running. The problem comes when I attempt to complete the migration process from the previous Netware server. The NSM engine stops running and shows its running state as unused. Restarting the engine via nsmengine-config starts the engine, but it inevitably stops. I have been able to get it to start and continue to run by renaming the /var/opt/novell/storagemanager/engine/data folder and creating an empty one, which triggers a new setup wizard.
I resigned myself to recreating the policies, so I ran through the wizard and did not import the old policies. I left the GSR Collecter running overnight and found that the engine had once again stop and I am unable to get it to stay up. I have included the last lines of the nsmengined.log. I am at my wits end.
    Thank You,
    Kenneth

    Kenneth,
Please send us an email at [email protected] so we can look into
this issue further. If you could attach your latest Engine log file from
/var/opt/novell/storagemanager/engine/log, that would be helpful -- the
excerpt you've posted doesn't seem to provide much information about the
    problem. Thanks!
