Join two XML sections

Hello,
I have a question. I wish join two XML sections set the hierarchique same level for display this in a for each boucle.
For example:
The XML structure:
<General_Information>
<TREATMENT_GROUP>839856</TREATMENT_GROUP>
<REQUEST_DATE>28/09/2009</REQUEST_DATE>
</General_Information>
<General_Information>
<TREATMENT_GROUP>739876</TREATMENT_GROUP>
<REQUEST_DATE>28/10/2009</REQUEST_DATE>
</General_Information>
<Product_Information>
<TREATMENT_GROUP>839856</TREATMENT_GROUP>
<TREATMENT_GROUP_NAME>Nom du group treatment 839856</TREATMENT_GROUP_NAME>
</Product_Information>
<Product_Information>
<TREATMENT_GROUP>739876</TREATMENT_GROUP>
<TREATMENT_GROUP_NAME>Nom du group treatment 739876</TREATMENT_GROUP_NAME>
</Product_Information>
I want display in my report.
Treatment group 839856
Treatment group name Nom du groupe de traitement 839856
Request date 28/06/2009
and in other section
Treatment group 739876
Treatment group name Nom du groupe de traitement 739876
Request date 28/10/2009
Is possible?
Thanks for futures answers.
I'm sorry for my english I'm french :)

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
But I have a new problem. The XML structure is :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<soap:Body>
<GetDataXmlResponse xmlns="http://....">
<GetDataXmlResult>
<IDBSEval xmlns="">
     <General_Information>
          <TREATMENT_GROUP>839856</TREATMENT_GROUP>
          <REQUEST_DATE>28/09/2009</REQUEST_DATE>
     </General_Information>
     <General_Information>
          <TREATMENT_GROUP>739876</TREATMENT_GROUP>
          <REQUEST_DATE>28/10/2009</REQUEST_DATE>
     </General_Information>
     <Product_Information>
          <TREATMENT_GROUP>739876</TREATMENT_GROUP>
          <TREATMENT_GROUP_NAME>Nom du group treatment 739876</TREATMENT_GROUP_NAME>
     </Product_Information>
     <Product_Information>
          <TREATMENT_GROUP>839856</TREATMENT_GROUP>
          <TREATMENT_GROUP_NAME>Nom du group treatment 839856</TREATMENT_GROUP_NAME>
     </Product_Information>
</IDBSEval>
</GetDataXmlResult>
</GetDataXmlResponse>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>
I can't do then make a relation with two sections with the new header.
I have make a test with the XML starting by <GetDataXmlResulst> and is OK.
Have you a solution with the new XML header?
Thanks for futures answers.

  • Join two or more xml files

    I want to join two or more xml files and create a nw xml or html file w/o using java!!
    Is it possible with only xsl. if yes how?
    Raju

    Sure it's possible with XSLT.
    Just use the document() function to refer to one or more additional source documents. I recommend using an <xsl:variable> to capture the secondary document in a variable so you can easily refer to it any number of times in the stylesheet.
    So, at the top-level of your stylesheet, just do:
    <xsl:variable name="otherDoc" select="document('otherDoc.xml')"/>
    Then anywhere you want to select nodes from the secondary document (will the full power of XPath), just start your XPath expression with the $otherDoc variable like this:
    select="$otherDoc/something/somethingelse[somepredicate-if-needed]"
    In this way you can combine the values of the current node in the main source document to lookup corresponding nodes in the secondary document and do joins this way.

  • Joining two tables, sql query

    This is a newbie question! I would like to join two tables. Table_1 contains xml stylesheets:
    id stylesheet doc
    1 <xml stylesheet doc A>
    2 <xml stylesheet doc B>
    And Table_2 contains the XML documents that the stylesheets will transform:
    id XML doc
    1 <XML document 1>
    1 <XML document 2>
    1 <XML document 3>
    2 <XML document 4>
    2 <XML document 5>
    I would like <xml stylesheet doc A> to transform only XML doc that have an id of 1, so I tried this sql statement:
    select a.stylesheet_doc ,b.xml_doc from Table_1 a, Table_2 b where a.id=b.id and a.id=1;
    This statement returns the rows I want (stylesheet doc with id equals 1, and xml_doc with id equals 1), but it pairs each xml document with a style sheet.
    stylesheet doc A <XML document 1>
    stylesheet doc A <XML document 2>
    stylesheet doc A <XML document 3>
    My question is, is there a way to have a result that looks like this?
    stylesheet doc A
    <XML document 1>
    <XML document 2>
    <XML document 3>
    That is, is there a way in sql to get rid of duplicate stylesheet doc A?
    I have tried group by and rollup and xmlagg.
    Thank you very, very much for your help.
    Jim

    Hi, Jim,
    Welcome to the forum!
    You just want to display the XML, not actually transform it, right?
    GROUP BY ROLLUP should work, but I find it easier with GROUP BY GROUPING SETS. Here's an example from tables in the scott schema:
    SELECT       CASE
              WHEN  GROUPING (ename) = 1
              THEN  d.dname
           END          AS dname
    ,       e.ename
    FROM       scott.dept     d
    JOIN       scott.emp     e  ON     d.deptno     = e.deptno
    GROUP BY  GROUPING SETS ( (d.dname, e.ename)
                   , (d.dname)
    ORDER BY  d.dname
    ,       ename          NULLS FIRST
    ;Output:
    DNAME          ENAME
    ACCOUNTING
                   CLARK
                   KING
                   MILLER
    RESEARCH
                   ADAMS
                   FORD
                   JONES
                   SCOTT
                   SMITH
    SALES
                   ALLEN

  • Can you please help me by saying me how can i join two different picture to make it as one picture.??

    Hi Sir/ Madam,
       My name is Rishav and I am facing some problem with my Photoshop CC. Actually I have a question. If you guys could help me out i will be very obliged. The quest in "Can you please help me by saying me how can i join two different picture to make it as one picture.??"

    Maybe you should post over at
    Photoshop for Beginners
    or start with the "Get Started" section of the Help:
    Photoshop Help | Photoshop Help
    And your question
    Can you please help me by saying me how can i join two different picture to make it as one picture.??
    does not seem particularly specific – do you want to simply combine two images as they are, do you want to clip elements from the one and insert them into the other, …?
    Could you post (lores of) the images and explain what you intend to achieve?

  • How to prevent Oracle from using an index when joining two tables ...

    How to prevent Oracle from using an index when joining two tables to get an inline view which is used in an update statement?
    O.K. I think I have to explain what I mean:
    When joining two tables which have many entries sometimes it es better not to use an index on the column used as join criteria.
    I have two tables: table A and table B.
    Table A has 4.000.000 entries and table B has 700.000 entries.
    I have a join of both tables with a numeric column as join criteria.
    There is an index on this column in table A.
    So I instead of
      where (A.col = B.col)I want to use
      where (A.col+0 = B.col)in order to prevent Oracle from using the index.
    When I use the join in a select statement it works.
    But when I use the join as inline view in an update statement I get the error ORA-01779.
    When I remove the "+0" the update statement works. (The column col is unique in table B).
    Any ideas why this happens?
    Thank you very much in advance for any help.
    Regards Hartmut

    I think you should post an properly formatted explain plan output using DBMS_XPLAN.DISPLAY including the "Predicate Information" section below the plan to provide more details regarding your query resp. update statement. Please use the \[code\] and \[code\] tags to enhance readability of the output provided:
    In SQL*Plus:
    SET LINESIZE 130
    EXPLAIN PLAN FOR <your statement>;
    SELECT * FROM TABLE(DBMS_XPLAN.DISPLAY);Usually if you're using the CBO (cost based optimizer) and have reasonable statistics gathered on the database objects used the optimizer should be able to determine if it is better to use the existing index or not.
    Things look different if you don't have statistics, you have outdated/wrong statistics or deliberately still use the RBO (rule based optimizer). In this case you would have to use other means to prevent the index usage, the most obvious would be the already mentioned NO_INDEX or FULL hint.
    But I strongly recommend to check in first place why the optimizer apparently seems to choose an inappropriate index access path.

  • Join two xmltype table using Xquery

    I am wondering how to join two xmltype tables in xml db database. both tables are schema based object-relational tables.
    these are the examples:
    academicProgram table contain batch of academicprogram.xml entries
    <academicProgram>
    <listOfCourse>
    <course><id>1</id></course>
    <course><id>2</id></course>
    </listOfCourse>
    </academicProgram>
    course table contain all the course entries, each of them is an xml file based on the the course schema. for example,
    course1.xml
    <course>
    <id>1</id>
    <title>xxxxxxx</title>
    <description>xxxxxxxxxxxxxx</description>
    </course>
    I used the following xquery code to merge the detailed course information from course table to the academic program information
    select *
    from XMLTable(
    for $program in ora:view("HTU", "ACADEMICPROGRAM")
    return <academicProgram xmlns="http://www.mdanderson.org/schema/APEP/courseCatalog"
         for $node in $program/academicProgram/node()
         return if (name($node) eq "listOfCourse")
              then (
                   <listOfCourse>{
                   for $i in $node/course
                   for $j in ora:view("HTU", "COURSE")/course
                   where $i/id eq $j/id
                   return $j
                   }</listOfCourse>
              else $node
         </academicProgram>
    it did return what I want, but the problem is it take more than 5 minutes to finish. is there someway to make it run faster? I have been struggling for a week, please help.
    thanks in advance.

  • Join two tables with no matching records

    Hi All,
    I have two tables which have got data as below. Now I need to join those two tables but there are no matching rows or columns in those tables. I have used OUTER JOIN but query was taking more than 5 mnts to run. Whats the best way to join two tables where
    there are no matching records.
    Table : Sections &Table : orders
    I am expecting the final output like I have mentioned below.
    How can i write a JOIN. Note there are no matching records from both the tables.
    Pls.This is a very urgent requirement.Regards

    Thanks Elrand. I have one question. What if I want to add 10 more parameters in @Section table then
    the logic I have written below will not work. I will have to make it dynamic. Any suggestions.?
    declare @test table (RowNo INT,CokeType NVARCHAR(MAX),BeginUsage dateTIME)
    declare @Section table (SectionName NVARCHAR(100))
    insert into @Section values ('CokeType')
    insert into @Section values ('BeginUsage')
    insert into @test values (1,'OMV - 02E (04/2012)','01-02-2014')
    insert into @test values (2,'OMV - 02E (04/2012)','01-03-2014')
    insert into @test values (3,'PCIC - 01 (01E/2013)','01-04-2014')
    insert into @test values (4,'PCIC - 01 (01E/2013)','01-05-2014')
    insert into @test values (5,'PCIC - 01 (E) - 07/2011 & Alba /2010 (C/F) 05/2011','01-06-2014')
    select * from @Section
    select * from @test
    SELECT
    RowNo,SectionName,
    CASE
    WHEN(SectionName = 'CokeType') THEN CokeType
    ELSE
    CAST (BeginUsage AS VARCHAR(MAX))
    END
    AS DATA
    FROM @Section AS S
    CROSS APPLY
    (SELECT T.RowNo,T.CokeType,T.BeginUsage FROM @test T) P
    ORDER BY SectionName DESC

  • Hi, I am trying to join two clips after splitting one clip to edit 'ums' and 'ahs' in a sentence.

    Hi,
    I am having trouble joining clips in iMovie. Every time I try the 'join clip' choice under 'edit' is grayed out. I would like to join two clips from time to time -- not necessarily two clips that were once one and then split. Just two clips. Maybe I did not want the material in between.
    This time, I did select a section of a clip during an interview to take out 'ah, ah, ah... um' and deleted that section. And in doing so I created two clips. Now I'd like to rejoin them for a seamless sentence with out the jumping from one clip to the next. But 'join clip' is grayed out.
    Thanks.

    Thank you.
    But I wish I could join them before I share so I can make sure the transition is smooth. Right now it's obvious there's a 'jump' to the next clip, not smooth. I'd like to be able to splice and edit have it be seamless. Say, I want to add something a speaker says 5 minutes down the road to a sentence he says now, cutting and pasteing, and having it appear that he said it all at once. Right now it's obvious there was some cutting and pasteing. I was thinking joining the clips would smooth this out.

  • How to join two or more surveys to one big survey?

    Hello Experts,
    how do I join two or more littel surveys to one big survey with one tile and varios sections and subsections?

    As I did not get any answer, I suppose it is not possible, unless you join the coding.

  • Clubbing two XMLs before display using xtags

    Hi,
    I need an approach to club two xmls one after the other and then parsing the new combined xml into xtags as the logic below to generate an html output.
    <xtags:style xml="<%=sXml%>" xsl="<%=sXsl%>">
    <xtags:param name="sSiteid"><%=sSiteid%></xtags:param>
    <xtags:param name="sLinkid"><%=sLinkid%></xtags:param>
    <xtags:param name="actionurl"><%=actionurl%></xtags:param>
    </xtags:style>I am able to show the output correctly with one xml but now I need to club two before display.
    Kindly give some inputs.
    Thanks,
    Amit

    For those who are having trouble understanding this post, "clubbing" is a regional usage of English that corresponds to the standard English words "combining" or "joining". It has nothing to do with hitting people.

  • Problem encountered when join two remote tables in a materialized view

    I'm using oracle 9.2.0.6
    1> I have two tables:
    CREATE TABLE TEST
    A VARCHAR2(100 BYTE),
    C DATE
    CREATE TABLE TEST1
    A VARCHAR2(100 BYTE),
    B TIMESTAMP
    2>. I defined a prebuild table:
    CREATE TABLE MV_TEST1
    ID1 ROWID,
    A VARCHAR2(100 BYTE),
    ID2 ROWID,
    B TIMESTAMP(6),
    C DATE
    3> I created mview logs:
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW LOG ON PSI_TEST.TEST
    WITH ROWID
    INCLUDING NEW VALUES;
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW LOG ON PSI_TEST.TEST1
    WITH ROWID
    INCLUDING NEW VALUES;
    4> when I create mview:
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW PSI_TEST.MV_TEST1
    ON PREBUILT TABLE WITH REDUCED PRECISION
    REFRESH FAST ON DEMAND
    WITH PRIMARY KEY
    AS
    select
    test.rowid id1,
    test.a,
    test1.rowid id2,
    test1.b,
    cast(null as date) c
    from test , test1
    where test.a = test1.a(+);
    It is created successfully.
    5> problem:
    when I use remote tables to do the same thing, say test and test1 are in another instance and are connected by a dbLink, I couldn't create the mview successfully:
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW PSI_TEST.MV_TEST1
    ON PREBUILT TABLE WITH REDUCED PRECISION
    REFRESH FAST ON DEMAND
    WITH PRIMARY KEY
    AS
    select
    a.rowid id1,
    a.a,
    b.rowid id2,
    b.b,
    cast(null as date) c
    from test@dbl a, test1@dbl b
    where a.a = b.a(+);
    when run above statement, I got:
    ORA-12015: cannot create a fast refresh materialized view from a complex query
    Any ideas? Or joining two table through a dblink for a mview is not allowed at all?
    Thanks in advance.

    No one has a clue?

  • Need help to join two tables using three joins, one of which is a (between) date range.

    I am trying to develop a query in MS Access 2010 to join two tables using three joins, one of which is a (between) date range. The tables are contained in Access. The reason
    the tables are contained in access because they are imported from different ODBC warehouses and the data is formatted for uniformity. I believe this cannot be developed using MS Visual Query Designer. I think writing a query in SQL would be suiting this project.
    ABCPART links to XYZPART. ABCSERIAL links to XYZSERIAL. ABCDATE links to (between) XYZDATE1 and ZYZDATE2.
    [ABCTABLE]
    ABCORDER
    ABCPART
    ABCSERIAL
    ABCDATE
    [ZYXTABLE]
    XYZORDER
    XYZPART
    XYZSERIAL
    XYZDATE1
    XYZDATE2

    Thank you for the looking at the post. The actual table names are rather ambiguous. I renamed them so it would make more sense. I will explain more and give the actual names. What I do not have is the actual data in the table. That is something I don't have
    on this computer. There are no "Null" fields in either of the tables.
    This table has many orders (MSORDER) that need to match one order (GLORDER) in GLORDR. This is based on MSPART joined to GLPART, MSSERIAL joined to GLSERIAL, and MSOPNDATE joined if it falls between GLSTARTDATE and GLENDDATE.

  • Can you join two DSO's?

    We have tried joining two DSO's and are getting the warning that "more than one datasource has been used in this report". It appears that the DSO driver does not support joins. The report runs but it is VERY slow, the same sort of performance you get when you try to join data from two datasources that are actually different (like two different SQL Server databases or an Oracle table joined to a SQL Server table). It appears that this is not a supported function with the DSO driver. Any thoughts?

    Yes, we have created the joins between the two DSOs. We are looking into using the Open SQL driver to go against the base tables to see if that will work.  This is how the original ODS driver used to work.
    Update: After changing the join type to a left outer join the performance improved signficantly. Although not ideal it looks like it will be fine for our requirements. This particular report will be run monthly and scheduled to run overnight.
