Join-View only for temporary Display Purposes

Hello Experts,
I have to search for different Vendors. To have all necessary information available I want to joint tables LFB1 (Vendor Master (Company Code)) and LFA1 (Vendor Master (General Section)). Is there an option to build a view, which is only temporary available, hence without creating a repository object.

Use SQVI or FQUK for this purpose.
Create a query based on quick viewer.
Table join
Then join the relevant table.
Attach them with the foreign key. (ensure your joinings are correct, otherwise, you cannot see any data)

New Role in PFCG only for customizing (display mode)

Hi,
Some users asked me to have a specific role to display all customizing settings (form transaction SPRO). This new role should allow users only to display customizing settings without changing them.
I tried to copy and manipoulate standard role S_BC_CUS_CUSTOMIZER. In my new role Z_S_BC_CUS_CUSTOMIZER (copy of the standard) I have setted as "display" entries with field "ACTVT".
However it doesn't work as I like because user with that role can still modify customizing.
Can any of you help me please? thanks.

Those role doesn't exit in my system, anyway you should create a new role where all authorization groups have the value 3 for the activity.
So you should assign to the object S_TABU_DIS only 3 as action allowed.
Anyway you should check all roles assigned to your user, because perhaps if a user has two roles where it can changed the data for the first role and it can't do it for the second one, the result will be the user can change the data.

List view only for shared library?

Could someone help please, i have a imac with all my content on it and i am using a mac mini in my living room, i have itunes9 and home sharing turned on but when i am viewing my imac library on my mac mini it only lets me view my music in list view no cover flow or column view, is this something i am doing wrong or does itune9 not allow this option thanx.

As soon as I finished typing my last reply and hit send - I realised that there is a workaround for your problem.
First, go into your iTunes preferences on your Mac Mini, and change the settings to NOT "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organised", and NOT "Copy files to ITunes media folder when adding to library".
Now, share your iTunes folder through File Sharing on your iMac. Access this file share (not through iTunes), on your Mac Mini, and drag all of your content into your Mac Mini iTunes library.
This will add everything into the library as a shortcut, but not copy the actual files. This way, you can scroll through them all with Cover Flow, or Grid, as iTunes will think that they are local files, rather than a shared library.

View only for IPad.

I've created a training course for work and want users to train with the keynote file; but hoping to be able to save so they can only view the course and not be able to edit. When you double tap the ipad it goes into edit mode.
Is there a way to have in play only mode?
Want to give the illusion the course is like an app. Any advice on protecting or exporting the file so users only have view mode but can still use swipe, hyperlinks, and see media?

Flex View only for movies?

Flex-View is a disappointment in that you can only pipe feature length movies to another device. Does anyone know if there are plans to allow you to simply view prerecorded TV shows on a PC? Here I am sitting in an Ethernet and wireless environment in the privacy of my home and I can't direct the TV or the DVR to my desktop system in another room on the same network. I can control the DVR from anywhere but I can't actuallt watch the recordings in the next room on my computer.

All files in book suddenly View Only?! How to turn off?!

I am using FrameMaker 10 to open SGML/XML files for PDF printing. I have a lot of manual things I have to do to the pages to get them the way the customer wants them, although the EDD & template does most of the work. This is the second big book I have done this way, so I know the process works, but for some reason it has suddenly broken on this book. It's a 1500-page manual, and I was at the end, preparing to start my TOC, but my book kept bombing. So I created a new book and imported all the files again, in case the old book had gotten corrupt. I also had to switch from structured to unstructured to do the TOC & other generated files, because for some reason it won't populate the correct paragraph formats, and I use several variations from the actual element names.
Anyway, somewhere along the line as I was generating the TOC, suddenly I started getting new errors stating this document is "View Only". It does it on every single file now. And I also noticed there are suddenly backup files of every file, when I don't use the backup feature. This makes me wonder if I voodoo'd some kind of Select All and View Only for all my documents or what? But then I go into the backup files, assumedly they would be fine, and nope, they are also View Only. I can't see the toolbar in View Only, so I can't take it off! How do I fix this?! I'm on a deadline.

Your music isn't stored in your personal iCloud account, it's stored in the iTunes store. As such, you can't turn it off. The cloud symbols are just links to your previous purchases so you can easily download them from the store. If you don't want to see this on your phone, go to Settings>Music and turn Show All Music off.

Day view only displays 6 all-day events

Until the most recent iPhone upgrade, the day view in the calendar displayed many more untimed, all-day events. Now, it seems only to display 6. The rest of my all-day events are only visible in the list view. Is this something new Apple did on purpose, or is my iPhone acting up?

Also we are having Mac book pro's (Late 2009 & 2010) after upgrading them to 10.8.5. Unable to launch the mac, getting only white screen with apple icon.
Let me know is there any specific Hardware (Graphic Cards) we need to use for the same.

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.

SAP role for view only

Hi,
Try to put together "display" roles for the different applications you are using. I think that is part of the problem - since everyone uses different apps there is no one "display all" role.
You could copy SAP_ALL & SAP_NEW and go through the ACTVT fields, but it's a long-winded process.

I'm developing a portal in which the end user can change the content of the portal page (personalize) using Edit smart link and i ask How can i display a portlet in the Edit view only ? not shown in the production view ?

Last time I heard with Oracle they said the only way is to look at the current URL. If it contais _mode=16 then we are in edit mode.
This is a function I use:

SharePoint 2013 allows downloaded even for users with "view only" permissions

I have a new on premises SharePoint 2013 server and assigned a single user "view only" rights to a document library. In the "permission levels" window, this permission is described as "Can view pages, list items,
and documents. Document types with server-side file handlers can be viewed in the browser but not downloaded."
Once I gave the user that permission, I noticed he was able to view documents in the library but the "but not downloaded" part does not seem to be working. The user can still download documents to his local desktop and SharePoint does not prevent
it. The "download a copy" option appears and the user can use it.
My goal is to make all documents in this library such that users can only view them in the browser and not download a local copy. How I do that?

Not entirely positive :-)
However, you have no server-side handlers in place today without WAC installed, so that portion of the View Only permission wouldn't be applicable.
Note that WAC must be installed on its own server and if your SharePoint server is extranet or public facing, it needs to have a valid, public SSL certificate. Also, WAC should always be run over SSL regardless if it is public facing or not as the token
sent between the SharePoint server and WAC is the same as having a username and password for the user making the request.

When I open TB, under "Accounts", it only shows the option "Create a new account". Option: "View settings for this account" is NOT shown.

When I open TB, I no longer see any information about the TB account I've used for years. Instead, the main menu shows only "Accounts" -- "Create a new account - Email, Chat, Newsgroups, Feeds". Option: "View settings for this account" is NOT shown.
Also the main menu does NOT show "Email - Read messages, Write a New Message" or "Advanced features", etc..
The actual emails pertaining to the TB account I've used for years are still present under the "Users --> xxxxyyyy --> AppData --> Roaming --> Thunderbird' folder.

I have had your exact problem with my old 3GS, now I cannot even get it to turn on, I still see that it is supposed to be charging though, but it never charges any so it seems.
I replaced the Lower Dock Connector Assembly back when it still charged while hooked to my PC, and it found it made no real difference.
