Joining Dates Check ..

Hi Friends,
I have a query related to the joining dates for an employee. The case is as follows:
Emp.No:1 has joined on 07-May-07 and Emp.No:2 has joined on 14-May-07,but when the HR is entering the master data in SAP by mistake he enters Emp.No:2 first and system generates PERNR as 01 and for Emp.No:1 the PERNR generated is 02,which is wrong as per the joining dates. So in SAP how do we handle such cases,i.e the SAP system should gives us an error saying that Emp.No:2 has joined later than Emp.No:1.
Suggessions required.
Thanks & Regards,
Krishna Prasad.

From Business Process point of view, why it is a requirement to allot PERNR in accordance to joining dates? In a large organisation where HR processes are decentralised, it is not practically possible to enter all data in a specific time so that the system can check this condition before alloting PERNR.
For example: Some employee are found with earlier joining dates to be entered after initial entry of Employee Data and allocation of PERNR. In that case how this logic will work even if code is changed to take care of the condition during initial entry?

  • Validation on Joining date

    Dear  Team,
I would like to put validation on Joining date with actual date of Hiring ( i.e current system date ) ; and I would like to put validation between both actual joining and Hiring date and difference between both dates should not exceed 50days. If Hiring date is exceeding 50 days errors message should be populated.
Please let me know to handle this scenario .

Try using an user exit or BADI.
Please ask your ABAPer to write a code to check your requirement and generate the messages.
There are a lot of forums which will give u details on user exits and BADI in Pers Administration.
I dont think there is any standard config which will cater to your requirement.

  • PT functions or operations to read joining date

    Hi Time Guru,
There is any functions or operations to read joining date whether from IT0000 or IT00041. I want to use it for comparison to further process in case the date before 15 or else do nothing.
    Your suggestion would be helpful.
    Thanks!.

    Hi,
In Time PCR time operation HRS=YFxxxx would read date from IT0041 (check documentation in PE04 for operation HRS) and in Payroll operation NUM=F would also give you the same in payroll, but for what you need I do not think it would help, because this will give the number of days after joining date. Check the doc and you may find what you need.
    Hope it helps.
    Kind Regards,

  • To capture the joining date

    Hi,
Is it possible to capture the joining date required by the applicant in PB10?
We want to capture the time required for joining for an applicant i.e 1 or 2 months. How this can be be captured in PB10 screen.  Please let me know the table name and how to configure it
Request if anyone can help me out with this.

There is an option available in pb40 where you can create a new action called "tentative date of joining" try it out. It may fit your requirement. If you execute TOJ, you get an action screen where you can maintain the possible date of joining. Once you save it, it gets back to PB40 screen. It can also be used to send follow up reminder mails to the applicable people by setting the infogroup as a flag in feature M0001 on an appropriate idtext. If that is not enough you can further create new action with your custom names and behavior with dynamic actions.
You must configure new action as follows
SPRO -> Personnel Management -> Recruitment -> Applicant Actions -> Change applicant actions
Here make new entry witha code "xx" and name "Tentative date of joining", status should be 1 or what ever applicable, you can check mark enter personnel area, applicant group and applicant range, it is not mandatory. it is just for selection criteria. then leave infogroup empty and checkmark update infotype.
Next step go to following path:
SPRO -> Personnel Management -> Recruitment -> Dialog Controls -> Change Action Menu -> Applicant Actions Menu
Make new entry here with applicable usergroups, sequence where this TOJ must appear in PB40 and then insert "xx" as your customized action, then check for the same if it appears in pb40 and and working. You must get a screen where applicant action is shown. Once entry is made and saved it gets back to pb 40 and not other IT will be displayed.

  • Key Figures in Joined Data Source

    Hello,
I have created some Key Figures for the Data Source "Sales Order Item". Reports based on this Data Source are working fine and also my Key Figures are displaying the right results.
Now I want to create a Joined Data Source (Left Outer Join) with the Sales Order Item and Outbound Delivery Detail Line Items. The problem I have here is, that my own Key Figures based on Sales Order Item are not showing up in the list and I cannot select them.
Does anyone know why? Do I have to create the same Key Figures again and again as soon as I want to join the Sales Order Item Data Source with any other Data Source?
    Thanks for any feedback.

Key figure are not available in joining Data Sources, Characteristics of same type from different Data Source data element available in joining scenario.

  • Credit Limit VS Posted Date Check

    Dear Experts
Our client have a requirement on customer credit limit and I would like to seek for some good solutions.
Here I provide one sample scenario: In SAP Business One a customer with a credit limit of $100,000 and account balance of $110,000. After a posted date check of $20,000 is deposited, customer account balance will be reduced to $90,000 and a Sales Order/ AR Invoice with amount less than $10,000 can be added for that customer without credit limit alert.
However, our client thinks that it is not make sense to reduce the customer account balance given that a posted date check is deposited as the posted date check may not be cashed if the customers do not have money in their account.
Would it be possible to separate posted date check payment amount from deducting the customer account balance? or would it be other workarounds?
    Thank you very much
    Regards
    Elton

    Dear jbrotto
    Thanks for your reply.
Could you explain in details on how to make use of the commitment limit?
As far as I know, commitment limit also considers the account balance of customer

  • Due date checking in F110

    Hi,
My client want to use F110(Automatic outgoing Payment) to payment the vendors. But they want to avail Credit for at least 30 days .that means , those invoice process had been done before 30 days those should come to the APP PROPOSAL FOR THE PARTICULAR VENDOR,OTHER WISE NOT TO BE SEEN IN APP PROPOSAL  Is there any provision given in FBZP ?
    <removed_by_moderator>
    With Regards,
    Sudipto

    Dear Paul,
If you want to check Due date then there is no setting in FBZP but at the time of running APP through T.code F110 , while defining payment proposal parameter there is 4th no. tab page with name 'Additiona Log' . in this tab page there is first option Due date check you tick on it and system will check due date for all vendors and customers which you have selected for Payment.
    thx.

  • Batch expiration date check when goods issue

    Dear expert,
In batch expiration date check, we have a requirement that when do goods issue with delivery note we should have a expiration date check for expired batch(the system needs to give a warning message when we want to pick a expired batch(in WM) or to issue a expired batch). But I checked OMJ5 and found that there is no check for movement type 601, 641, 643 or 647. Do we have a standard function for this requirement? Thanks.
    Leo

    Hi,
In SD batch determination normally happens during Delivery creation for a Sales Order, Check for batch determination is maintained for a combination of sales org, order type - system determines Search Procedure at this level (here a check box also controls the batch check against selelction rules in case somebody puts a batch manually)
later on through selection class and sort rules batch expiry is check during determination
so all checks are applied before an actual goods issue is made so std SAP doesn't provide this check indicator at mvt type level
    Hope this helps

  • Attribute handling in Sun Java Directory Proxy Server join data views

    Hi all,
I've configured a join data view and want to get rid of the duplicated attributes that show up in the search results since they are present in the primary and the secondary data view. The documentation says that this behaviour is configurable to return only the values of the primary data view but I can't find any information how to do it.
Can anybody shed some light on this?
    Thanks and regards
    Geli

    Hi,
If an attribute is present on both sides and if you want to consider the value(s) from one side only, use the viewable-attr or non-viewable-attr property at the data view level. You can specify which attribute(s) are /are not exposed by that data view (policy for read and write may differ).
For more details, have a look at [http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-0986/non-viewable-attr-5dpconf?l=ko&a=view|http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-0986/non-viewable-attr-5dpconf?l=ko&a=view]

  • How to join data from SAP BW and Oracle database from Webi?

    Hi,
Need to  create a Web Intelligence Report connecting to multiple data sources.
Ø SAP-BW contains the data (All units).
Ø Oracle db contains the access security data (respective units
    for the user).
Since Universe can only connect to a single data-source we have to create two universes connecting to SAP-BW and Oracle db respectively and then create a webi report to point the two universes to retrieve the equi-join data on the report.
May I know which layer I can join the data? What kind of data I can join?
Can I merge dimensions from both the data sources? What about measures?
How I can create SQL query in Webi in order to simulate the join to the two data source?
    Appreciate any info related.
    thanks and regards
    nora

    Hi Nora,
You can use Data Federator technology to federate multi-sources such as SAP BW and Oracle.
Las you just have to create a universe on the Data Federator data source and the universe isee the data source as a single source whereas it is not.
Then any clainet that consume uninverses can take advantage of this solution.

  • Web Dynpro ABAP ALV On Data check

    Hi
If i push the check button and i find an error in my on data check event and send an error message l_message_manager->REPORT_ATTRIBUTE_ERROR_MESSAGE. It will not check again when i am pushing of the check button again, i guess because no data has been changed. But if no data has been changed, the user will not have cleared the error for sure.
Now as i write this i have an idea for an work around.
But anyway. It seams to me that others should have faced this problem and i believe i am doing something wrong. I have tried to set the value again, but this will not trigger an change.
So what i will try next is to save my error messages and just clear them when the data_check is done again. (I am not sure how to do this at the moment, but i will see.)
Still does anybody know a better way, or how it's meant to be done?
    thanks.

    my solution is:
on the data check event i save the changes to tables in my class.
i have put an own check button in the alv, which is realy checking the data.
the save button is then using my tables to do the actual changes to the dso.

  • Exit for delivery Date check in Sales order [Via EDI]

    Hi Friends ,
We have a requirement in which if the Sales Order is created Via EDI with INVALID delivery date then I have to set a flag in some Z Table . I have tried searching for exits and debugging the code but was unable to find a place where SAP checks for delivery date validity . Please help me with possible exits/Badis?Enhancement Pts etc where I can mark this flag .
    Thanks & Regards
    Gaurav Deep

@Vinod Thanks  for your reply , the delivery date is there in EXIT_SAPLVEDA_009 .
But how will i check if the delivery date is valid or not , If you go to VA01 and give a invalid delivery date a warning message is issued , here if the warning message is issued then I want to set my flag , this might save my from  coding redundant delivery date check logic , can someone please help me how can i track if this warning message is issued .

  • UCCX 8.0 SU4 Data Check

  • POS DM master data check

    Hi all,
is it possible to perform articles master data check (eg. ean code or article code existence) on sap retail master data instead of bw 0material?
    Thanks a lot
    Ado

    Hi Anthony,
here some answers to your questions:
1.) How does it check the existence of related master data? If you look at the details of a delta infopackage, you will not find an option to check for master data as compared to a normal delta infopackage.
==> you cannot check the refrential integrity via the InfoPackage, hence you have to this via transormations (if needed)
2.)  Will it load the transaction data even if no master data exist for the transaction data?
    ==> Yes
3.) Also in this process, will it create the master data SID table entries while it loads the transaction data into the DSO? There may be some master data referenced by the transaction data which may not exist in the source system yet and therefore not loaded into the master data infoobjects yet.
==> Yes, but this behaviour is the same as for periodic (non-RDA) transactional data loads.
4.) The concern I have is when running a process chain to load master data such as 0ACCOUNT, 0COMP_CODE and followed by an Attribute Chain Run at the end of this process chain, will the locks established by this Attribute Chain Run crash the RDA daemon when it tries to load those transaction data that have new master data in them ?
==> You do not have to worry about conflicts / concurrent locks with the Attribute Change Run. The only process that could be critical, is the loading via RDA and periodic master data via DTP, which could result in a error in the DTP (you can resolve this very unlikely event by restarting the DTP or by triggering the re-load of  the master data from the source system). In general, we would assume that these 2 events are highly unlikely to conflict.
