JPanel: How to set the defualt size

Question

Hi there.
When I run my application the main window is always too small. How can i set it to a reasonable size??
Thank you for any hints u may provide.

}The secret is, if a component isn't sizing itself properly, you can trying
giving it a preferred size, then telling the top level window (JFrame in my example)
to pack() -- which tries to give component's there preferred sizes,
if their containers' layout managers will allow it.
