JpdProxyTask and WLI 9.2 : documentation, usage
Hello,
I want to automate the creation of the JPD (RMI) proxy.
I found the JpdProxyTask ant task in the jpd.jar library.
But I'm unable to find proper documentation for usage.
I tried to guess how to use the task, but then I'm facing a problem : the task tries to check a file in my webAppRootDirectory/.workshop directory ?
Isn't that a layout of Workshop 8.1, and not of workshop 9.2 which is now Eclipse based ?
Is there a workaround for that problem that enables the ant task to work with Workshop 9.2 directory structures ?

There is a patch for JpdProxyTask. You should contact BEA support for JpdProxyTask to work correctly.

So we now sell the covers on ebay to help others access technology that they need in order to survive and live happily as without his ipod or ipad and him telling us what was wrong he would of died he had respritory lung disease photosensitive epilepsy a metabolic condition that could of killed him anytime from stroke or seizure battled with using all types of technology but now is a dream come true.
Would love for this to be enabled in the setup of all computers alike to protect eyes and allow more users to speak and communicate a big thankyou to the creators and designers fabulous but please can you call me as this could make you even better i mean will and also give me more time.

Apple won't respond to feedback, and support can't do anything regarding product suggestions, particularly not from a company with an existing product they wish to sell. The only attention you might get from Apple would be possible interest in selling your product through the Apple Stores, and I don't know how Apple chooses the third-party products they sell. All I could suggest would be writing to Apple's corporate headquarters:

with perhaps "Attention: Retail Sales Division" and telling them about your product and your interest in it being sold through the Apple Stores.

Material specification and Inspection plan - Task list usage
Dear Friends,
In inspection type Task list usage is assigned
For Example
inspection type 01 - usage - 03
inspection type 05 - usage - 05
inspection type 06 - usage - 07
inspection type 10 - usage - 06
In my scenario i want to use all the above inspection type for a product
if i use mateial specification there is no any problem with my Task list usage
If suppose i use inspection plan do i need to create different inspection plan with different usage
or is it possible to create one inspection plan with all the above usage
what about universal usage 03 can i use it
i try to use but system does not triggering inspection lot
can any one Suggest some ideas

All of first pls understand the concept of Task list and specification.
If you need to inspection any material in very systematic manner, where you will have well segregated operations where the appropriate Work Centers will be bind and under that hierarchy MIC will be attached. The inspection will be governed by some inspection points. And according the the same Samples will be calculated. When you wanna go with all these functionality then you must have to use Task list (Inspection plan).
And if you don't wish to have these functions then simply go with the material specification.
Now it comes the actual query about task list usage.
If there is a common inspection plan is supposed to be used for all the inspection types for your material then you can prepare only one inspection plan, put ant of the Usage to it it can be 05 or 03 universal. But what you have to do is,
Go to SPRO->Quality Management->Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation->Maintain Inspection Types Execute and set the Task list usage as the same it is set in the inspection plan for all those Inspection types for which that common inspection plan is supposed to be used.
Note:- There is no any link between inspection lot creation and task list usage of inspection plan.

"Our browsing habits haven't changed" - with all due respect, unless you have kept a diary or other record of specific internet activity, you have no way of knowing that. And you make no mention of what was used prior to the iPads to do this, so it would be difficult to make any kind of comparison.
Not only the browsers, but any number of apps on the iPads also access the internet.
You might want to check location services, and potentially turn it off for any apps that really don't need it. Likewise check you mail set up and reduce reliance on Push (I have mine set to strictly manual, but more to reduce interruptions than reducing internet usage) -
I'm using a 16GB iPhone 4S, with the latest version of iOS 8.1.1. Whenever I go to the "Cellular" settings on the main settings page and turn OFF cellular data usage for native apps like mail, app store, contacts, photos etc , the moment I back out and come back in, all the native apps I turned cellular off for are back on again. Exact same question as ankit1986, specifically with the photos while on cellular-only, and as simple as it sounds, I tried the hard reboot Ingo2711 suggested. Still experiencing the same error with the native apps reverting to on. It's killing our shared data-plan (2GB).

After updating my 4s to ios6, I'm having the same problems with wi-fi switching to cellular on it's own and running up my data usage.....anyone else having this problem?
The iPhone is DESIGNED to switch to cellular data when asleep, unless it's connected to a power source, in which case it will stay logged onto the WiFi network. iPhones have ALWAYS behaved this way.
Either turn cellular data off at night, or leave your phone connected to a power source to continue the WiFI. -

Targeting ALSB and WLI components
Hello!
I'm using ALINT 3.0 + ALDSP 3.2 platforms in my project. I would like, my domain, to contain three clusters: one for ALSB and WLI services (ALSB cluster), one for ALDSP services (ALDSP cluster) and one for J2EE components (J2EE cluster). When I create everything from wizard, then all components related to ALSB and ALDSP are targeted everywhere. So, I have the following questions:
1. Is there any specification, which component should be targeted to ALSB cluster and which should be targeted to ALDSP cluster.
2. Which component of ALSB is responsible for targeting ALSB services. I mean, I don't want my services to be accessible from each cluster, just from ALSB cluster.
3. Most components, after creating domain from wizard, are targeted to AdminServer as well. Which components should really be targeted there? And which components can only be accessible from clusters.
4. Is there a really quick method of targeting a big number of ALSB and WLI components? Doing it from admin console is terribly time consuming. Of course I can edit config.xml manually, but do you have any less risky tool?
5. Is such a configuration supported and recommended by BEA/Oracle? I would like to avoid an effort related to configuring trust and security between domains so I prefer to do it all in one domain.1, 2, 3. Run the wizard separately for ALINT, ALDSP and ALSB. When you are creating/adding to a domain, you can select the option to target bits to specific places.
4. If you want 'fast' edit config.xml. If you want 'less-risky', use the Admin Console. If you want something in between, you can write a utility using the MBean api. (you can explore the MBean api using wlst). If you want Oracle/BEA to write it for you, open a Customer Support Case/Enhancement request.
5. I don't see why it wouldn't work. -

My Ipad says that i am running out of storage but my icloud says that ive only used 1.4gb of the 5 allotted and when i go to usage manage storage all my apps are turned t the on postpition for backup. So i dont nderstand why my ipads storage is being used
iCloud doesn't give you more storage on your device, it only gives you more storage in iCloud to sync data, store your backups, etc. If you're running out of space on your iPad you'll have to delete some data off your iPad to free it up, such as syncing some of your music or other media off your iPad.
You can check how much free space is available on your iPad by going to Settings>General>Usage and looking at the Available number at the top. -
Change Management and Test Workbench for documentation
Hi,
I would like some clarification on the association between change requests and test workbench.
I'm going through scenarios such as creating a maintenance project, creating a task list and service message and then creating a transport request.
During these steps, I want to document the test results prior to migrating these transports into the production system.
My questions are - how do you link the maintenance project and also urgent corrections to a test procedure and documentation. It appears that by using solar01/solar02 and stwb_2/stwb_work, these tests are linked to a project and not necessarily a "change request"
I greatly appreciate if you can elaborate the association between the various areas a bit clearer for me.

My activity monitor show random and fluctuating CPU usage at the Dock site with absolutelyno programs running. %'s fluctuate between 3 - 20 and they pretty much come and go. What might be causing this?
There's a lot of background processes running that aren't documented as Apps as such. And some of them are the Time Machine backups, Spotlight searches, all kinds of small little bits of maintenance caches, there's a lot going on. So it's not completely out of the question that this is 'normal' for a Mac. If it were 50% or more I would be concerned but if it spikes up to 20% for a second or two you are probably not in any trouble of any kind.

Differences between WLI 7.0 and WLI 8.1?
I am trying to make a determination on Workflow products, and I have used WLI 7.0
(and back to WLPI days), but 8.1 looks very foreign to me.
Can anyone give me an idea of whether you think the modifications to the tool
for 8.1 were beneficial from the standpoint of functionality and ease of use?
Did it lose anything that was good about the tool from prior releases? Did it
gain anything?
Or if anyone knows of a article or place that might tell me this information (I
didn't get much out of the "What's new in this release").
So far, one thing that I don't think I like is the fact that there does not seem
to be a visual representation of a task anymore. With the "controls", it looks
like what you see in the graphical view of the process is a method (or several
methods) from a "control" rather than an actual task object.

T410s with extremely poor performance and CPU always near 100% usage
Hi,
I've had my T410s for almost a year now and lately its been starting to get extremely slow, which is odd since it used to be so fast.
Just by opening one program, Outlook, or IE or Chrome, just one window, it will start to get extremely slow and on task manger I can clearly see the CPU usage at 100% or very near.
Also another thing I noticed was the performance index on the processor dropped from 6.8 to 3.6!!!
I did a clean Windows 7 Pro 64Bit install, I have all Windows and Lenovo updates installed and the problem persits
What is happening and what should I do??

IAt the time of the screenshot I had just fineshed to boot up the laptop and it wasnt hot at all.

I have a question that the answer to which I have been searching for a while.
We have a development environment of WLI and a production environment of WLI.
When we make changes to the workflow and test in the development environment,
we'd like to apply those changes to the production environment.
So we export the tested templates from the development environment and import
them into the production environment. The problem is that the internal IDs of
the work in progress, are different than the IDs of the imported workflow templates.
And we lose the instances in the new templates.
Is there another way, to accomplish this task besides export/import?...is copy+expiry
a good approch?
If anyone could help or point me to some sources, I'd appreciate it.

affected (i.e. you'd like them to use the template that is in production.
In this case, you shouldn't modify the existing template. You should
instead deploy a new version (template definition) of the same template, but
with a later effective date (use the date that you deploy the new version).
For example, suppose the current version has an effective date of June 1,
2001. You want to deploy a new version that takes effect on Monday October
22, 2001. No need to expire the active template definition. Just deploy
the new one with an effective date of Monday October 22, 2001. When you do,
all existing instances will use the old version, and all processes that are
instantiated on or after October 22, 2001 will use the new version.
The only reason to expire a template definition is if you want to revert to
an older version that is still active, and has not been expired. For
example, if I set the expiry date for the new template definition to Dec 1,
2001, then new processes will use the June 1 version on and after Dec 1,
2001.
If there is no active version that hasn't expired when you try to
instantiate a process, then the engine will return an error.
