JPEG Library Error Warning: unknown JFIF revision number 2.01

Recently I started to recieve the following error in Dreamweaver CS4.
JPEG Library Error
Warning: unknown JFIF revision number 2.01
I read the sparse suggestions online which said a file might be corrupt. I currently maintain a lot of sub-websites under a large directory and it would be almost impossible to check every single image on the server. I get the error even if nothing is opened but the program. Is there another solution to finding out which image is causing this problem?

Some of the Adobe software reportedly tosses that diagnostic when it finds a JPEG image file that slightly puzzles it.
I'd suspect you're running some older Adobe bits, if I've guessed right about the source of that error and if your Adobe versions are of roughly the same vintage as OS X 10.6.8.
Looking at the console log is...  ah... how do I phrase this... not without its own form of hazard, due to the plethora of innocuous but ominious-sounding messages that can get logged there.  Figuring out which of the messages are things to be concerned about isn't easy, unfortunately.
But this error?  I'd ignore it, unless you've got some malfunctioning image software somewhere, and/or unless there are patches or updates for whatever package is tossing this available.

  • Warning Unknown Processor Revision

    I'm getting the "Unknown Revision" errrrrror.. More exactly;
    CMOS Checksum Bad
****** Warning Unknown Processor Revision ******
The processor(s) installed in your system are of an unknown revision.
Please contact your BIOS vendor for appropriate updates.
    Fatal Error... System Halted.
The best solution I've heard so far, is to flash my Bios, considering I'm still running A7250NMS V1.00 and the V1.40 is released. However, as I can't access the BIOS or even get passed it to either use the LiveUpdate or the Dos version update.. I need some suggestions how to flash the Bios before it loads fully.
Guess my question is, is there any way to interupt the Bios so that I can flash it before the "Unknown Revision" error?
    Running on;
    MSI K9N SLI Platinum
    2x Kingston KVR667D2N5 DDR2 pc2-5400
AMD Athlon 64 Orleans 3800+ on stock heatsink
    Sapphire Radeon X1950pro
    FSP-group 400w Blue Storm PSU
(Even tried with a 520W PSU which were a few years old)
It seems to perform the POST just fine, everything starts spinning/lighting up/making noise as it should.
Spent a bit of cash on this setup by now considering my meager income, so I'm anxious to get it working, can't really afford any replacement parts.
    Most anxious, DragonTear of Sweden.

    hello,
"Guess my question is, is there any way to interupt the Bios so that I can flash it before the "Unknown Revision" error?'
don't think so, also avoid using LiveUpdate to update BIOS.
get K9N SLI Platinum BIOS 1.4 Image and burn it to CD.(example: extract file from archive and open it with nero burning rom, and burn image to CD).
find a temporary CPU to be used for BIOS update.
put CD into your optical drive, and boot from it.(reboot PC, hit "F11" at post to pop-up menu after post, and choice CD-ROM from there, or go to BIOS and setup 1st boot device to: CD-ROM). after BIOS update is complete successfully power down your PC, remove power cord from the PSU, hit few time power button to drain electrify from capacitors, touch some metal with hands to discharge any ES which you may have, then open the case and Clear CMOS, install your newest CPU, then pull back power cord, and turn on your PC, will be notice CMOS CHEKSUM MISMATCH/ERROR, hit F1 to continue and rebuild DMI Pool Data, then reboot your PC, and enter in BIOS and LOAD BIOS DEFAULT, SAVE AND EXIT, go back to BIOS and apply your customs settings.

  • Getting JPEG Library Error for Corrupt JPEG Data using CS5

After recently upgrading to CS5 I am getting JPEG Library Errors for corrupt JPEG data. I have my old PC still in use that uses CS4 and does not generate these errors when accessing the same site. Could someone please assist me in how to get rid of these errors using CS5? I can't find help out there anywhere for this!
    Thanks in advance!

You could use Photoshop's Image Processor to open all of your jpegs in a given folder, make a slight tweek and resave them in the hopes of cleaning out any errors that DW is hitting. It's worth a shot maybe.
    1. In PS go to File > Scripts > Image Processor
    2. For Step 1, browse to a folder in your site with jpeg issues
    3. For Step 2, choose save in same location
    4. For Step 3, choose Save as JPEG and check Convert File to sRGB
    5. Click Run
This will create a sub folder called JPEG with the images resaved there. You can drag them into the parent folder to replace the originals.
If you haven't already, make sure to report the bug here: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
At least the right people will be made aware of it then and if it's common enough to trip whatever quantity/user reports system they use, it would get included for repair.
I honestly don't think it's a "bug" per se, since the forum isn't absolutely flooded with the problem.

You can convert a jpeg to a jpeg.
Set up test directories and files and In Batch conversion

  • "CoreBluetooth[WARNING] Unknown error: 1309" message cause

I am sporadically getting the message "CoreBluetooth[WARNING] Unknown error: 1309” on the console when running a BlueTooth app I am developing. Even though the message states that it is a warning, it stops execution of the app. I have been able to work around this problem by turning the Bluetooth setting off and then back on. Can anyone tell me what is causing this and what I should do to avoid it?

I posted this problem on [email protected] Bluetooth <[email protected]> and received this response from Jason Conn:
If I had to hazard a guess, I’d say that the primary reason you haven’t received much of a response is because you’ve given no description of your issue beyond “sometimes I see error 1309 and things stop working”.
If you haven’t already, please file a bug on bugreporter.apple.com and include as much detail as possible - a description of what you’re trying to do, repro steps that lead to the issue, even a test app. Respond to me directly with the bug number, and I will follow-up.
I had hopedsomeone at Apple could look into the code and state the conditions that led to this warning message. I was not able to reproduce the problem sufficiently reliably to file a bug report. Maybe you can.

  • Qaaws Designer Error - Login Warning - Unknown

We are having dswsbobje deployed on 4 WebSphere servers.
There is a load balancing url setup for splitting load over these 4 clusters
When we try to connect to the indivisual clusters using the Qaaws designer, we are able to log in successfully.
However, when we use the load balancing url to login. The url gets parsed succesfully. i.e. we do not get the "Web Service URL is not correct" error.
But when we enter the Administrator credential, the designer throws an error while connecting Title: Login Warning --- Error Message:Unknown
Has anyone connected to the Qaaws Designer using the load balancer url before.

Session affinity is sometimes also referred to as session persistence or session stickiness, which should be described somewhere in your load balancer configuration documentation (sorry, but my expertise is limited there).
I got some further information about LB support restriction occuring in XI 3.1, so I can be more specific there :
As said previously, only hardware LB is supported with XI 3.1, and only with the following session stickiness modes :
    . Source IP sticky
. Source IP + destination sticky
    . SSL sticky
On the other hand, the following type are not supported :
    . arrow-point sticky
. cookie sticky (as I mentionned previously)
    . URL sticky
Besides, LB deployments also brings some support restriction in XI 3.1 when used in conjunction with Reverse proxies (as RP make all client look to have the same IP...).
We are currently working hard at increasing our support of session stickiness modes in the coming releases and support packages (cookie stickiness should be supported with XI 3.1 SP4 and 4.0 SP2, which will also bring arrow-point stickiness support).
    Hope that helps,
    David.

  • IPhone 3GS first gives warning: unknown IMEI and unknown ICCID! Restoring failes with error 1002!

My iPhone 3GS suddendly couldn't connect to the mobile provider's network. As I was in a rural place, I though this was because of bad coverage. It was then still possible to use Wi-Fi. After a while the phone asked to connect to itunes and gave the following warning: unknown IMEI and unknown ICCID.
I tried recovering it but procedures failes after hours with error 1002.
Is there a fix for this problem or do I need to go to a service center?

Thanks Carolyn, I've tried all the options, but still it does not finish the recovering process. It stops with still a half millimeter on the statusbar .
Will probably just have to go to a service center. I already read that more people have the same problem and no one found a solution. As I am abroad and my iPhone largely exceeded the warranty time, I wonder what they will charge.

  • "Expected a number object" error/warning.

Hey Guys, I am using LiveCycle 8 and Adobe Pro 8.
I have an 8 page form that I started in Pro 8, and now I have
    tweaked in LiveCycle.
Everything is "almost perfect" for what I want.
Only problem is now I get an error that says,
    Expected a number object
    Expected a number object
This gives me two errors. Thus, I can't save the document either.
All I need to do to finish is resolve this, and then
Re-Do the Tab Order for it to be complete.
The thing is, it doesn't tell me WHERE
the error is, or otherwise I'd fix it.
I've already gone through the 500+ fields,
    and can't figure it out.
It's not a Javascript error either.
Any help on this would be great help.
    Thanks.

JavaScript is very lose in type checking, that is, JS does not verify or keep the type the same for an item and JS will change the type of an item form number to string if it looks like that should be done. You can use the "Number(cSting)" constrictor to force an item to a number in JS and might be able to format a number with the "Format(s1, s2)" function in FormCalc.

  • [ERROR] - Runtime Shared Library Preloading Warning

Hey there guys, I have a question that probably has a very easy answer,  but after searching online for a while I couldn't figure out just how to  fix it.
Anyways the problem is this,  when I run it, it gives me this warning and then the when i click "OK" it startes playing the movie..but when i upload the content i dont see it woking
I assume I'm receiving this warning because I'm using Adobe Flash  Professional CS5 if this helps.
Thanks very much for any advice you guys have.
    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
    The warning:
    Runtime Shared Library Preloading Warning
Your content will not stream.  Runtime Shared Library (RSL) preloading  will require all of your content to download before the first frame will  play.
To prevent this you can chane the Runtime Shared Library Library  Settings in the Advanced ActionScript 3.0 Settings dialog which can be  raised from the Publish Settings dialog.
The Runtime Shared Libraries being preloaded are:
    textLayout_1.0.0.595.swz for TLF Text

Since my presentation requires hiding a text field behind "revealer bars", unlayering was not going to make it in my situation.  By some kind of good fortune I had another FLA file that behaved properly.  I found that it had the "Merge with code" switch set, but making that change to my current file did not correct the problem.  It appears that the flash data base became corrupted and I had to re-build the entire file from scratch.
Here is something that hints ( but doesn't admit ) that you can corrupt the fla file:
Home / Using Flash Professional CS5 / Text
Working with Text Layout Framework (TLF) text
Converting between Classic and TLF text
When you convert a text object from one text engine to the other, Flash preserves most of the formatting. However, because the text engines are different in their capabilities, some formatting may be slightly different, including letter spacing and line spacing. Inspect the text carefully and reapply any settings that have been changed or lost.
If you need to convert text from Classic to TLF, try to do so only once rather than converting back and forth more than once. The same is true for converting TLF text to Classic text.
When converting between TLF and Classic text, Flash converts text types as follows:
    TLF Read Only> Classic Static
    TLF Selectable > Classic Static
    TLF Editable > Classic Input
Until I become very certain that I am on the right path, I am saving a new sub-version of the file after every small advance in the restoration.  If something I go breaks the "streamability", I Quit without saving then start up again with the last successfully saved version.  ( I haven't yet found the "Revert to Last Saved State" menu pick.  )
    Hope this helps.

    Hi,
You mentioned that Central Administration Application pool account is a member of Administrators group in a MOSS Server and has full control on OU, but I am not sure how is the content application pool configured.
If the content application pool account was not the same with Central Administration Application pool account, please make sure:
Grant content application pool account with Design permission to Distribution Groups list in Central Administration > Operations > Approve/reject distribution groups.
Follow the step by step guidance to configure the incoming mail:
Configure incoming e-mail settings (Office SharePoint Server) (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262947.aspx)
After successful configured the DMS enabled incoming mail, you should see a request record when assigned a email address to a SharePoint group in Approve/reject distribution groups page and the group would be created automatically if the request was approved.
Hope the information can be helpful.

  • Please help! Shared Library Error... no applications will open!

    Hi. Major issues!!
My computer was unplugged for 2 weeks (renovations). When I set it up in my new office, none of my applications would open! (Microsoft, Adobe, AOL, etc...) Safari is working.
    I get this error message:
The application "Photoshop" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "5<application><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_SpeechRecognition>"
The application "Word" could not be launched because of a shared library error:
    "8<Microsoft Word><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_SpeechRecognition>"
The application "AOL" could not be launched because of a shared library error:
    "9<AOL (Bootstrap)><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_SpeechRecognition>"
The application "AppleWorks" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "4<AppleWorks><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_SpeechRecognition>"
    Here's what I've tried...
I have tried to install combo update 10.3.9. .. didn't work.
My computer was purchased in 2004... just moved to a new house... do not know where my installation dvd is... so to reboot on that is not an option.
I tried disk repair permissions... didn't work!
I opened my log console to view the crash logs... and it appears a lot has crashed... but I can not understand what any of it means!?!
Can anyone help or offer some advice?
Can anyone understand a crash log if I post it?
Please help!?! Taking an online masters course and this is a major dilemma!
    Thanks,
    Lindsay

    Hi Lindsay,
"Can I get one from a mac store? Does it have to be the original one I used when I purchased my mac?"
No, you can no longer purchase 10.3 Panther disks from Apple Stores, online or otherwise. You may however, be able to purchase replacement disks for your computer (if Mac OS 10.3 were the original install disks that came with your mac) by calling Apple and explaining and having the serial number ready of the computer.
If your installation of 10.3 was an upgrade you can purchase retail copies of 10.3 disks online from many resellers, such as on ebay or sites such as FastMac, but be sure to purchase a retail box set and not upgrade or machine specific disks.
Did you perform all of the steps that Kappy steered you to in Dr. Smoke's FAQ first and your only option left is the Archive and Install?
