JPEG Option Disappeared from Save As

In the middle of scanning old photos into Photoshop Elements and saving them as JPEG, suddenly the JPEG option was no longer in the Save As Format dropdown. How can I get it back?

Do you have a convert to 8-bits option in Image / Mode or not?  If not then it already is 8-bits.
Maybe grayscale images need converted to sRGB color images, first, something else you can do in the Image / Mode menu.

  • Aperture 3 save PDF to folder as JPEG option missing from PDF services?

I have Aperture 3 downloaded from the App store in a MAC OSX 10.6.7 but the save PDF to folder as jPEG option is missing from the print menu? I do not have discs to re-install Aperture so can I add a workflow directly to the PDF services library and if so where can I get a copy of this workflow?

Hi frank, thanks for the advice, I am very new to Apple and Aperture. I think I am looking at the second print menu, I am basically trying to add text to a phot and have followed this online guide
    http://photo.rwboyer.com/2010/02/07/aperture-book-tool-screen-cast-take-two/
I can do everything except the last part which is save PDF to folder as JPEG. My version of aperture does not give me this option and I only have access to the following:
    Open PDF in preview
    Save as PDF
    Save as Post Script
    Mail PDF
    Save as PDF-X
    Save PDF to iPhoto
Save PDF to web receipts folder
    Pictures
    Edit Menu
There is no option to Save PDF to folder as JPEG and I cannot add this function from the Edit menu? Previous discussions suggest re-installing Aperture 3 but I downloaded this from the App store so do not have discs to reinstall?
    Thanks

  • Photosmart 5520 - Scan Option disappears from Mac OS X 10.9 to 10.10 update

I have been searching this problem for the last 2 hours. I have already installed, deleted, reinstalled drivers from this website and Apples site.
Under printers and scanners in my System Preferences, I can choose and easily print from our HP 5520, but the scan option button has now disappeared from my 10.9 to 10.10 update. My wife has the exact same computer as me and we are both connected to the exact same 5520 printer, but she is still on 10.9 (scan option is available and works) and I am on 10.10 (scan option is gone and HP Scan doesnt work either).
    Solutions please!
    Solved...

    Hello @caking1s,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand since doing the Mac update from 10.9 to 10.10 now you are unable to scan with your HP Photosmart 5520.  Please go ahead and follow the steps listed below:
    Scrub/ Uninstall
    • Open the Applications folder > HP or Hewlett Packard folder > HP Uninstaller
    • Click continue, click on one of the printers in the list.
    • * Only do this step if you do not have any other HP Printers. Hold down Control, Option and Command, While holding the three buttons down,
    • Click uninstall.
    Reset Printing System
    1. Click the Apple icon (   ), and then click System Preferences.
    2. In the Hardware section, click Print & Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/Scan  dialog box opens.
    3. Right-click (or  Ctrl  +click) in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system…
    4. Click OK to confirm the reset.
    5. Type the correct Name and Password.
    6. Click OK to reset the printing system. The Print & Fax dialog box shows no printer selected
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol..
    Repair Disk Permissions
1.On the Dock, click Applications, and then click Utilities.
    2.Double-click Disk Utility.
3.Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left (by default this is "Macintosh HD").
4.Click the Repair Disk Permissions button at the bottom of the window.
5.Once the repair is complete, restart the computer.
Restart the printer. Now you can download and install the printer software and install it. Click on the link below to begin the download and follow the on screen instructions:
HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers
I hope this helps, please let me know the outcome!

  • MMS option disappeared from 3gs

so this is odd.. i noticed after a few days ago my MMS option disappeared.. so i figured, fine ill just restore it..
well restored now.... same problem MMS does not apper as in: the little camera icon next to a text window does not show up...
its really frustrating knowing that im paying ATT and apple for a product that seems to get crappier with each update...

If you go into Settings>Messages, is the setting for MMS turned on?
You said you did a restore, did you do it from a backup or as a new phone? Did you try and do a reset before the restore?
The other option would be to check with AT&T. Every once in a while things happen and they may need to reprovision your account.

  • When I access Visual Voicemail, my Personal Hotspot option disappears from settings.

Why does my Personal Hotspot option disappear when I access Visual Voicemail?  I need to reset network settings to get it back and then Visual Voicemail no longer works.
Also, does anyone know how I could disable Visual Voicemail and set the phone app's voicemail button to dial 901 instead? (as a workaround)

The iOS5 upgrade for the iphone allowed network operators to control the availability of the 'personal hotspot' feature. If your operator is one of those who charge extra for tethering (and most do) then by upgrading to ios5 you've facilitated them to remove the option for you.
Apple bowed to the demands of the opertators on this one.
I am with Tesco(O2) and as soon as I upgraded to ios5 I lost the 'personal hotspot' option.
I have the last laugh though; They cant control my Android phone so I put the Tesco mobile sim into that when I want to use tethering.
Get an Android phone or if you're in the UK use Three mobile who allow tethering.

  • Why did the "custom" size option disappear from list when creating a PDF in Photoshop?

For my job, I must have the custom option available to me in Photoshop. I'm currently using CS4 and have been for years without a problem. Yesterday "custom" option from the choose size list disappeared, along with several other options (that I don't use).  I have shut down the program and restarted. I've shut down the computer - even over night - and it is still gone. Why did this happen and how do I get this very important tool back?

This one. It only appears once a download has begun.

  • "None" Credit Card option disappearing from accounts?

I have several accounts that have been setup with the 'None' option in terms of credit cards on their accounts. This has been working for several months just fine on most of them. Recently our district started to employ Apple's Profile Manager MDM to try the new Managed Distribution option. However, I've noticed on serveral (about 5 of the 10 I've done this with so far) accounts that they ask for a Credit Card and no longer display the option for "None" under payment options.
Is there something about linking profile manager to Apple IDs thats actually destroying these accounts and rendering them useless? I don't understand how or why this would happen.

If None is not available - On your computer launch iTunes and click "iTunes Store" in the left navigation pane. Click the "down arrow" next to your name at the top right side of the page and click "Account." Enter your username and password and click "View Account" to log into your account information. Next to your Payment Type, click "Edit." Select the "None" button and click "Done." Confirm that your card has been removed by returning to the Apple account information screen. Under Payment Type, it should say that there is no credit card on file.

  • Did the watermark option disappear from the export menu?

After reinstalling Aperture, due to the call back from Apple, for replacing the hard disk I've got a lot of problems with the program.
The latest is that I can't find anymore the box " Show Watermark" when exporting photo's. Is it placed somewhere else?
    Kees Bakker

Is your Aperture version 3.4.3? For me the "Show Watermark" option is still there, when I export versions. Or are you trying to export originals? These cannot be watermarked.
The "Show Watermark" option is available in the Export menu, when you edit the export preset you are using.

  • Wifi option disappeared from system preferences network tab

I used wifi at home in the morning, with no problem. I used ethernet during the day at work. When I got home, wifi wasn't working. At first, it was still an option in the Network tab of System Preferences (along with Ethernet, Firewire & Bluetooth PAN). When I clicked on 'Assist Me,' and started the process, I wasn't able to give the information needed. When I clicked 'Go Back' until I got to the main Network screen, the 'WiFi' option was no longer present. It is also not an option with I click on the "+" button to add a network option. In addition, on the top bar, the WiFi icon is greyed out, with an 'X' in it. Clicking on it shows: "WiFi: No Hardware Installed."
To add to the fun, when I called Apple Support, he had some resets in mind to try, but my computer will not stay off. Clicking 'Shut Down,' turns it off, but then right back on. Holding the power button turns it off, but he had me unplug the power for a minute, then plug it back in. When I do plug back in, it restarts again, on its own.
Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!

In many cases, this issue is caused by a hardware fault. A short circuit or a microscopic break in a solder joint may open and close depending on temperature, making the failure intermittent.
Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already taken. Back up all data before making any changes.
    1. If you can connect to the Internet via Ethernet, Bluetooth, or a USB network device, make sure all available OS X updates are installed. If Wi-Fi is your only means of network access, skip this step.
    2. Reset the NVRAM.
    3. Reset the System Management Controller.
    4. Start up in Recovery mode. In the menu bar of the OS X Utilities screen, there's a Wi-Fi menu. If it works, selectInstall OS X. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.
    5. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.

  • "Sleep" option disappeared from power options???

So I have my laptop's power options for closing the lid to sleep, but instead of going to sleep each time I close the lid, it is instead going into hibernation every single time. When I try to fix the issue, the whole "Sleep" option is not even
listed under Power Options > Advanced Settings > Power buttons and lid > Lid close action.
From the drop-down menu, the only three options I see are "Do nothing," "Hibernate," and "Shut down."
    WTF is going on?

    Hi,
Meanwhile, are you able to find the sleep option in other location? Such as in the power button?
Regarding to the driver, I suggest you uninstall the original driver, then reboot mahcine, it will automatically install the driver again, check if issue persists.
Check your power management settings in BIOS, make sure that sleep mode is turned on in BIOS, It's recommended to refer to the manufacture user manual.
Update the BIOS, make sure to have the latest BIOS version

  • Can't turn of voice dialling from locked screen. Option disappeared from settings (I-Phone 4S)

I've just updated my I-Phone 4S to the iOS 7.1 and have lost the option to turn voice dialling off - this could be found in Settings > Passcode (Passcode Lock) > Allow Access When Locked > (then turn off the) 'Voice Dialiling. BUT I only see 'Passbook', 'Reply with Message' and a blank space where voice dailling was. I also have no idea where you can turn Siri off for good as that doesn't seem to be in the settings either.
If anyone has some useful comments or suggestions please post back!
    Cheers,
    Tmalia

If this support article does not resolve the issue, it is Hardware failure.

  • Mountain Lion Download option disappeared from app store.

I purchased mountain lion and downloaded it to a few of my macs and I was trying to install it again and it no longer shows as a download option in the app store. Do they only let you download it a limited number of times?

No, whatever the problem is, that is not it.
Try signing out of the App Store, and signing in again. It should appear under "Purchases".
Make sure that you did not "hide" the purchase:

  • "Music" menu option disappeared from main iPod menu after software update

I need some help. I own the 80GB Video iPod. After performing the most recent update to the iTunes software, I was notified of a software update for the iPod (v1.2.1) so I installed it on the iPod.
iPod seemed to work fine until I decided to find music using the "Music" menu option on the main iPod menu... well, guess what, there is no "Music" menu option on the iPod. I have:
    Photos
    Videos
    Playlists
    Extras
    Settings
    Shuffle Songs
    ... no "Music" option.
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

There is a "Main Menu" option under Settings, that allows you to customize what does and does not appear on the main menu. Just go there and turn "Music" back on.
