JPEG TO PDF

I loaded a reader this morning and now when I try and open a picture it looks like it is trying to convert them to a pdf and won't let me open them. Help

To convert JPEG files to PDF files in Reader X or XI:
1. Launch Adobe Reader
2. Select "Tools" from top right
3. Click "Sign In" then log in with your Adobe ID and password
4. Select "CreatePDF" tab
5. Select your JPEG file by clicking "Select File" button
6.. Click "Convert" button
7. The resultant PDF file will be displayed in Reader.

  • Need to convert 'My thoughts' app work into either .jpeg or .pdf

    Hi,
I need to convert a piece of work, designed through 'My Thoughts' app into either a .jpeg or .pdf format in order to send to Staples to have it printed off - have clicked on save but these two options are not included ... any ideas?
    Thanks in Advance

I don't have "My Thoughts" but you should be able to command-P and then at the bottom of the print screen you'll see PDF and you can just save as PDF from there.
All of my printers (including Staples) require PDF documents these days.

Just upgraded to Mavericks. Now I cannot access scans from my hp scanner. After it complete the scans and I try to save as tiff, jpeg or pdf I get a either a grey blur or a message that says cannot save because the file cannot be written to. I did not have any problems before the upgrade. I would greatly appreciate any light shed on this.

Go to the HP site and look for drivers for your scanner. It apparently needs an updated driver to work with Mavericks.

  • Jpeg and PDF clipping paths not showing up in Keynote

I am using Keynote '08 and my boss is using an earlier version. He wants to place a jpeg or pdf in his file and see the clipping path. He has pdfs on his machine that open in his keynote document with the clipping path intact, you don't see the white background of the image. When he places the jpegs and pdfs I have sent him, with clipping paths I created, in the same keynote document, mine show up with the white backgrounds.
    Help!

The previous designer here saved jpegs and pdfs with clipping paths that apparantly he can open. I give him a jpeg with a clipping path (created by someone else) as well as save it as a PDF with clipping path and he cannot see the clipping path. He specifically wants to use jpegs or pdfs because that is what he has been using and that is what has been working for him until I sent him jpegs and pdfs that aren't working. So far it is just this one photo as a jpeg and saved as a pdf. I cannot find any difference between these two and the ones he is able to see clipping paths on.

  • How to stop Preview from changing resolution when converting JPEGs into PDF

I am combining several JPEGs of identical resolution into a PDF using Preview, using either the sidebar or Automator action (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11893607). For some reason, Preview changes the resolution of the PDF so viewing it at actual size (100% zoom) is bigger and pixellated. Example: a 960x600 JPEG becomes approx 1355x845. I figured it had something to do with dpi and indeed if I do the calculation and open up each JPEG in Photoshop and resize (without resampling, i.e. without changing pixels) to 101.5, the resulting PDF is pretty close to what it should be. (Calculation = 1355/960 * 72dpi.) But the slight resize and recompression lowers quality, plus it's a huge pain to go through all of that for every image.
This issue is the same for simple saving a single image, the combining and use of Automator script has no impact.
My question, in summary: how do I get Preview to save a JPEG as a PDF without changing its resolution?

I have the same problem. I have a bunch of scanned documents (jpeg), and have been trying to make them a multi page document, instead of 20+ images.
Using the Automator "New PDF from Images" preview action v1.0, supplied by Apple with Snow Leopard, and I am able to convert the images to a PDF.
Using these images, the first page being 1032 x 1600 pixels, and telling the automator action to +size each page to fit image+, I convert them into a PDF.
    Converted PDF is viewable here.
The original JPG is clearly higher resolution than the PDF, and the PDF loses the crispness of the original scan. Even using "+size each page to fit image+" does not make the page the original image size.
What's happening here, and does anyone know a better way to convert Jpegs to PDF on the Mac - and keep the image resolution? I don't care about files sizes here, but keeping resolution and maintaining quality.

  • Using Maps 2.0 3D satellite view how to capture JPEG or PDF?

    Right, I'm on a late 2012 27" iMac with 32GB RAM 3.4 GHz I7 & running Yosemite.
I'm using Maps 2.0 and I have an interesting 3D satellite view of a part of los angeles that I would like to capture in JPEG or PDF for future reference.
    How to do this?

    Hey Wingbat1,
You can do one of two things. The first is get it lined up on how you want it to look and then click the Share button, which will be to the right of the search bar in Yosemite, to email the image and it will be in a PDF format. You can also create a screenshot of Maps as well. Take a look at the articles below for more information.

  • Lightroom 5 book module trims pixels on JPEG and PDF export

I'm making a 12x12" book and want to export at 250dpi.  I'm expecting my pages to be square and exactly 3000x3000 pixles.  When I export to JPEG or PDF the pages are not square and JPEGs are 2968 x 3000.
I've seen the same question asked regarding LR4.  It appears to not have been fixed or addressed in LR5.
I'm not using Blurb to create books which I understand is the publisher that requires these odd sized pages and why LR exports pages this way.  Oddly, there is a special export for Blurb books; I wouldn't think that the generic JPEG and PDF exports should follow the Blurb standard.  Idealy, I want my JPEG exports to be two-page spreads at 6000 x 3000 pixels.  I can stitch together two pages in Photoshop easily enough, but not if the pages are not the correct size to begin with.
For now, I'll use LR5 to mock up a book and then re-create the whole thing manually in PS, which is really sad and such a waste of time given that LR is so close to being able to export exactly what I want.
Would love to see this fixed in an update soon.

These are both bugs that have been fixed since the LR4 beta. Thanks for bringing them up, though.

  • Problem converesion from jpeg to pdf

Problem conversion from jpeg to pdf.
I have scanned some images. So, the file is in jpeg I should make some changes in Paint or Photoshop program and I keep as jpeg. Then, when I converted and collected them into one pdf from Acrobat 8 and 9 too. Some pages had different sizes in the screen. How can make them have all the same size in screen and printed too of course. When I checked the individual pdf one is in for example 82% and other in 140%. I hope you can understand what I want to say.
And I have some other that happens the same and I have not done any change in Paint or Photoshop.

Thanks so much Graffiti for your instructions. It seems to be what you
thought. Now, my problem is solved.
    See you, Esther
