Jpgs different color in bridge

Starting today, jpgs that i save look different in bridge than they do in photoshop.
This is not true about jpgs that I saved before today. They look the same in bridge and PS.
The jpgs I'm saving now appear distinctly warmer than they do in Photoshop.
It also appears to be a bridge only problem. I've imported some examples to iPhoto. They look the same in iPhoto and Photoshop, but look reddish in Bridge.
It also seems to be specific to .jpgs. I'm not having the same problem with RAWs from ACR, or if I save a file to tiff. In both those cases, bridge previews the image to look the same as it does in Photoshop.

I've also seen a magenta shift in JPG thumbnails in Bridge. I've isolated the problem on my computer to when JPGs are saved in progressive format. Choosing Baseline ("Standard") in the jpg options dialog box is the workaround.
This one appears dangerous because it CHANGES the RGB color numbers of a file upon opening if you use Camera Raw to open it from Bridge. BTW, I'm using Camera Raw 4.3.1.
Steps to reproduce:
*Make a new document in Photoshop.
*Fill with 50% gray - check color numbers with eyedropper ->128,128,128
*Save file as a jpg with Progressive selected. Close.
*View in Bridge - looks fine
*Click on thumbnail in Bridge - it turns magenta.
*Double-click to open in Camera Raw from Bridge (a preference setting) and hold cursor over the now magenta-ish gray document. New numbers are 132,125,132. Definitely magenta.
*Click the Open Image button to open it in Photoshop and the altered color numbers (132,125,132)now show in Photoshop.
As I mentioned, an experiment using Baseline settings in the JPG options works around the issue for me.

In Bridge CS6 when I view a jpg thumbnail color loss

In Bridge CS6 when I view jpgs as a thumbnail and also when selected to single viewing, the colors wash out. They do not in raw or psd versions of the same photo. They look fine in windows picture viewer and I saved them to my website and they were fine, bridge is the only place they look washed out. How do I fix that?

That means that those JPEGs are untagged, meaning they do not have an embedded color profile. In the case of untagged files, Bridge assumes the image was created in the sRGB color space. Obviously, your files must have been created in a different color space but Bridge can't tell which color space that was because you stripped the profile when saving the JPEGs.

Unless using embedded thumbs, you need to set your ACR defaults, and make uncheck auto settings in preferences/camera raw.

Images opened in CS2, Bridge or Lightroom have bands of different colors

RAW images opened in CS2, Bridge or Lightroom have bands of different colors depending on the image and are unusable. Running Windows Vista 32 on Dell Desktop 531 w/2g of ram. Have been searching but haven't found a solution. I have not called Adobe yet.
Lightroom stopped running on Vista 32 windows error message says "Lightroom has stopped running windows is searching for a solution to the problem". At the same time Lightroom works fine on my laptop running Vista 32.

Are you looking at the images at 100% resolution? Banding can appear in other enlargements due to rounding errors.

Different color in different adobe applications!

I noted a difference in color between Lightroom and Photoshop CS4.
If I export the PSD file from Lightroom as .jpg with Adobe RGB profile and then open it in PS I get a different color than if I open the PSD file with same profile!
Very strange indead.
My system is calibrated, monitor and printer, and I get excellent results. I use Adobe RGB throughout. Color is set in Bridge Creative suite color setting. All proof colors are unchecked. The problem is that the files appear different and print different if different applications.
It seams that Lightroom, Preview, Acrobat and Indesign, (even the small thumbnail in Finder) all share same color. (With minor noticeable difference).
However Photoshop looks very different. More saturated.
Can someone explain please?

I don't use Lightroom, but on the Photoshop display side
You need to determine how your apps deal with tagged and untagged images, especially what Default profile they apply-assume-assign when the profile is absent, stripped and/or ignored.
If a thumbnail in OSX Finder shows the problem, that is a big clue because Finder thumbnails are not color managed (Finder is assuming Monitor RGB).
I recommend going here

That series contains tagged and untagged verisions of AppleRGB, AdobeRGB, sRGB, ProPhotoRGB.
First, look at the image icons in finder (they are all over the place).
Next, drag the download folder into Bridge and observe the thumbnail colors (Bridge assumes sRGB on untagged images)...

If your problem apps are displaying color the same as image icons in Finder, then either your app is not colormanaged or the file does not contain an embedded profile.

OSX Safari is a great app for testing JPEG files because it will either read an embedded profile or it will apply the default monitor profile (exactly where I am pointing you to) -- just drag your icon into an open Safari window...

XY Graph overlay multi plot with different colors

Hi,
I want to do a cyclic X-Y plot in a for loop and plot the graph for each cycle in different colors.
I want a plot like XYgraph2 but with different colors and probably even without that tracing line. How do i modify my diagram?

Hi all! This is my first post
My name is Francesco and I'm programming a keithley for measure some FET
using labview 8.6. I plot my output data on a XY graph but I have several curves,
one for each value of Vgs. Looking in your forum I've found the code
MultiplePlots.vi (21 kb) posted by Darin.K about a month ago that use Multiple
plots and it is perfect for my goal because with this I can plot every curve with a
different color. The only problem is that I like to plot my data in real time.
The code, however, use a Loop with N=50, accumulates the values on the edge
and plot at the end of the Loop the entire line.
My question is if someone can explain me how to modify the code to plot the line
point by point, so in real time and not at the end o the loop because I need to see
the current values during the measurement and not only at the end.
I think that I need to move the XYgraph inside the loop. I try but without lucky.
Can anyone help me?

Different Colors by "Saving for Web" - why???

hello,
i save pics for the web, incl. profile sRBG.
but the pics look colder - warm colors get lost - in firefox, because ff is not able to use profile (but only with an extension as i know).
safari is able to show the collors correct.
bridge color prefs are set to "for web/europe".
i am choosing "saving for web", and "Incl. ICC-profile"...
any ideas?

Take 'edit text' tool form tools palette, select the entire tab label on any single page of the tab control
Now go to the 'text settings' in the tool bar (below menu bar) and select color of your choice in the drop-down menu

.jpg import color accuracy

I need to preserve exact color accuracy when I import a simple line graphic. If I import a perfect .jpg or perfect .gif file image, with lines of perfect cyan in the image, when the image is displayed, the lines have been "smoothed out" at the edges by adding some portion of black to the pixels. In the Media file that iMovie creates to store stills, clips and audio, the original graphic image file can be found (graphic.jpg) along with an additional, corrupted file (graphic-1.jpg) which is the image that iMovie apparently uses and has been modified as I described. How can I prevent this?

we stumble into a bunch of unsolvable problems:
a) color precision - an issues since the beginning of picture processing with computers... what ar we talking about, RGB or CMYK? in case of RGB, we have it a ittle easy, because that's how Monitor work... you need to calibrate your monitor AND you need to set up the color profiles in your grapgic apps...
b) .jpg - is not a color precise compressor, you should choose any lossless codecs as tiff (huge files, but... quality has its price)....
c) changing compressor codecs - you have to switch the codecs, because "dv" has a totally different color scheme then anything else... (and iM works with dv....); dv is a mainly a video-format, pointed to work with tapes and and TVsets...; the dv codec just store every 8th pixel some color-info.... color precision on TV...?? lol
d) video standards - why do we Europeans make cheap jokes about NTSC (=never the same color)....? because it's true...
e) resolution - you create your graphics on a hiRes computer screen without interlacing... dv uses about a quarter of res, adds interlacing, less colors....
f) iMovie/any video! can just "estimate" the colors of your grafix....
solution: judge the final pic quality on a TV; choose "TV safe colors" (e.g. red=NoGo, neutral grey=NoGo, any "plain,pure color" (as cyan) =NoGo... now you know, why 90% of sets in TV sitcoms have greenish walls... green=good with NTSC...); choose non-serif typo; use BIG grafix....

Are you creating a web site? If so, which editor? Depending on which editor, you should have an option for Web Safe Colors. That way they will all the same shade of green.

I have a question about the calendar on the ipad2. I have multiple calendars in different colors. Some of the events are filled in with color. Others are just listed with a colored dot in front of the event. Any ideas why events ar showing up differently?

How to Create Excel File in Background processing with different colors

I am trying to create Excel file in background & send it to user through e-mail, this i could acheive using fucntion module SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1, but here my requirement is i want to put different colors to columns of excel & this should happen in Background processing,
Initially i completed above requirement by using HTML type of document with attachment type 'ALI' & formatted output using write statement & used colors, after that i took this o/p using save_list function module & then table compress...etc.
but i don't know how to achieve same if we need o/p in excel as size of object of excel file is less than that of HTML
I am thankfull to everybody who will help me.

Different colors for the aggregation in the report

In my BEx report I require to show the aggregation in different colors.
That is suppose my report has 3 characteristics and 2 keyfigures. When the 'Result' appears for characteristic1 it should be shown in blue color(not specific) and when the result appears for characteristic2 it should be shown in red color and when result appears for characteristic3 it should be shown in green color and similarly.
Has any one already implemented this?

I require the result rows in different colors.
Suppose the result row is based on aggregation of Characteristic 3 then the result row should appear in blue color.
Suppose the result row is based on aggregation of Characteristic 2 then the result row should appear in green color. and so on.
