JPS Error - "Invalid Doc Flavor"

I want to use the Java Print Service (JPS) API to programatically send PDF files to a printer. I need to send these files to the printer without any user intervention.
I am able to print text files but have not been successfull in printing PDF files. The error I recieve is "Invalid Flavor". Below are the Document Flavors that my printer supports:

In addition to the above Flavors I have tried sending the PDF to the printer using a Document Flavor of INPUT_STREAM.AUTOSENSE. When I do this the PDF file gets sent to the printer but what actually gets printed is garbage (control characters, overtyping, etc...).
It appears the printer does not directly support PDF printing. The interesting thing is that I if I bring up a PDF file using Adobe Reader and press the Print button the file does get printed successfully!
Can someone help me explain why Adobe Reader can print the file successfully but I am unable to do it programattically? Can someone suggest a different approach for me to take?

Hi,
i received an indesign file to include in a folio that had links to the creators desktop where they had the assets for the web content overlay. When i try to update the folio i get the error message:
"Content generation error.
[Error: Invalid URL for Web Content Overlay]"
Which is fair enough.
The problem is, i have gone through and changed all URLs that I can see, but there is one somewhere, that I just can't find.
Is there a way to get a list of all web content overlays in a particular file? otherwise i will need to recreate the whole page again, and it has some pretty complex interactions which i rather wouldn't do.
I also cannot ask the original doc creator to just change the links as i'm sure he'll have the same issues as me, at not being able to track down the erroneous link.
The problem I have with DPS is that its not very transparent. you'll have to click on everything, and into every group to see what actions are on it, which can be extremely time consuming and frustrating when complex interactions are included.

I’ve found watching the process helpful to narrow down the page.
Working off a duplicate of the file, delete one layer at a time until you figure out what layer the problem is on.
From there it’s a bit easier to narrow down.

License error, Invalid host IP

I have following problem when I try to start my server. The license.bea
file is in the bea home dir.

Looks like you are using IP based license file.
Go through the below docs and get a license which is not bound to any IP address and use it.

Thanks for the reply and the problem is not with one specific PLD, even it is not allowing to view SAP given PLD's also.
And it is happening only with the inventory related transactions.
EX- If invoice had any base document then it can be viewable.
If Invoice/GRPO docs were directly posted then printing error is throwing

I even reinstalled my WRT110 to be sure of the Network Name and Password but I still get this error. I have never been able to log in to the wireless network. I can see it - Ienter my password and still "Invalid Password"

I don't understand this: Connect directly to the router. Is this the http://192.168.1.1?
I HAVE changed the network name, I HAVE changed the password.
I still get invalid password!!!

In my local machine Copied SAPRFC.INI file from the TEXT folder to the BIN Folder.
Then open the SAPRFC.INI file in BIN folder and Register a RFC server program at a SAP Gateway.

   Just you check whether your program is registered or not.
   If it is registered then you can find in SMGW transaction and go to
   GOTO - Logged on clients
in that you will be able to see your program name if it registers succesfully.
you have typed rfcexec -aBJACCESS 172.22.149.199 xsapdp10
in this way.
In this you have misseg 'g' in front of your sap ip.

Adobe Print Form Error - Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized

Hi, I've just configured ADS on Netweaver 2004s. I've run through the config guide and everything works ok including the form generation test report FP_TEST_00 which outputs PDF without issue. I have two problems:
-When I run a "test connection" on the RFC destination 'ADS' using the ADSUSER for the login details, I get a 403 not authorized error. Changing this user to J2EE_ADMIN resolves the issue and I get a 302 redirect. I've tried adding other permissions to the ADSUSER without any luck.
-Running a report on the Portal under e.g. Executive Reporting and attempting to just right-click and hit "Print Version" results in a 401 error for request "http://hostXX:portXX/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document" exactly as per this thread: Re: Adobe Form Creation Error - Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized. However, I've double-checked all user details in Visual Administrator (ADS_AGENT) and on the ABAP stack side in su01 and sm59. I also tried changing the users to dialog with no effect. If I go directly to that URL and log in with ADSUSER I get a 403 not authorised error (using J2EE_ADMIN is again successful). I've noticed that in the http access log the HTTP protocol used is 1.1 when using the web browser and 1.0 when using the sm59 connection test. I've heard of problems with using HTTP/1.1, but when I change the options on IE8 to use HTTP/1.0, it changes for all other requests except the request for "http://hostXX:portXX/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document", which is still submitted as HTTP/1.1. Conversely, in sm59 if I specify that it should use HTTP/1.1 under Special Options, I can see from the access log that it is in fact still using HTTP/1.0. Could this be related to the 401 error code that I'm seeing?

I think I've ruled out the HTTP protocol version as being an issue here. However I may have found more useful information on the actual issue.
In the security log under usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log\system I see a different message for the unsuccessful report PDF generation attempt to that of a direct query to the same URL with the same web browser, as below. The unsuccessful attempt appears to forget the ADSUSER credentials and resort to the default J2EE_GUEST which has no authorisations and therefore fails. The direct query doesn't lose the ADSUSER credentials and I think this is because it prompts for the user/password when needed. Does anyone know why this happens for a direct query to this URL but not for the PDF generation attempt?

You need to check whether the system for which you are doing the provisioning is a part of your CUA system. If not then Go to the
Configuration tab-> Workflow-> CUA System.
In the system change the value to the "-Select-". Then you will be able to create the request for your system.

Those are the specs of the Software Components, the backend... As we mentioned before, download the latest SAPGUI version and install it in your PC...
The latest SAPGUI can be downloaded from https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/support, go to Downloads, then "Browse the Navigation Area", on the left click "A-Z Index", then click on "G" and you'll see the "SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS" option, click on it...
You can download it from here... Please notice your OSS user needs authorization to do so... Probably need to check with your Basis guys for this...

BW error: "invalid call sequence for interface when recording changes"

I am getting the error "invalid call sequence for interface when recording changes" when I try to activate a datasource in BW. Any ideas on how to resolve this error?

I already tried that. This is what's happening.. When I get this error, if I try again it will activate and gets collected into a transport. I moved this transport to our QA system. As soon as I try to execute an infopackage under this datasource in QA, I get the error datasource xxxxx must be activated. Before the excecution of the infopackage, the datasource is in "Active version executable". After I get the error message "datasource must be activated", the datasource in the QA system changes to "Active version not executable". I am not sure all these issues are related back to the "invalid call sequence" error I am getting when I try to activate the data source.
I also tried recollecting the transport from our Dev system to QA and it still gives the above errors.
Any help?

I'm using the Oracle XML Parser V2 9.2.0.0.0 library to apply a stylesheet to an XML document. However when I invoke the call to processor.processXSL() an XSLException is thrown with the following details:

Your problem is that your stylesheet is illegal.
You're using the "simple form" of the stylesheet which
is equivalent to having a single root template.
If you use the simple form, you cannot use: <xsl:include>,
<xsl:import>, <xsl:output>, <xsl:param>
or any other <xsl:XXX> element which must be at the "top-level"
of the stylesheet.
The solution is to change from:
<INPUT xsl:version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="...">
   <xsl:output>
</INPUT>.
which is illegal to:
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="...">
    <xsl:output>
    <xsl:template match="/">
      <INPUT>
      </INPUT>
    </xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>

WebPart is raising the following error "Invalid data has been used to update the list item.The field you are trying to update may be read only"

I have created a farm solution and then i deploy it to SharePoint server, the code looks as follow, and i use it to update a page info values (as the current page values represents old info):-

but when i try adding this web part to a page i got the following error:-
Invalid data has been used to update the list item.The field you are trying to update may be read only
so can anyone advice?

i only changed lines bitween
web.AllowUnsafeUpdates = true;
and
web.AllowUnsafeUpdates = false;
and other parts of code remains without change
so it will updates all pages in current web

Error: Invalid element 'servlet' in content of 'web-app'

Hi,
I m working on a project that includes JSPs, whenever I wanna add JSP to my project it shows following compilation error:
Invalid element 'servlet' in content of 'web-app', expected elements '[error-page, taglib, resource-env-ref, resource-ref, security-constraint, login-config, security-role, env-entry, ejb-ref, ejb-local-ref]'
I have thoroughly checked the web.xml. It is perfectly alright. It is as follows:

Report service Integration (sql 2012 and SharePoint 2013) error Report Server WMI Provider error: Invalid namespace

Report Server WMI Provider Error: Invalid namespace
Domain Server, Sql2012 server and SP2013 Server (3 vm servers)
the sql server reporting services service application and applications Proxy are installed and started (SP2013 Sever)
the sql server PowerPivot system Service and SQL server Reporting Services Service are Started (in Services on Server)
in sql server 2012 sp1 reporting service configured (web service URL and Report Manager URL are configured and tested, the database report server mode is native) (SQl 2012 Server)
under general Application Settings .. trying to setup the "Reporting Service Integration" give us the above error message (Report Server WMI Provider Error: Invalid namespace)
I was looking for all blogs and TechNet material but without success.

Follow these steps:
1) Uninstall SSRS from the Database Engine server (MSSQLSERVER instance).
2) Install SSRS on the SharePoint server using the "Reporting Services - SharePoint" install option during SQL Feature selection, no other services are required (e.g. you do not need to install Database Engine services).
3) You should then see SSRS as a Service Instance in Central Admin -> Manage Services on Server, at which point you can also create an SSRS Service Application.
While this guide (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219068.aspx#bkmk_install_SSRS) walks you through it, this is for a single server install where the Database Engine is also installed on SharePoint, not something you want to do.
