JRE Download without Installation

Hy guys,
Its me again with a beginner Question i dont even need to search if we had that yet.
I feel like the only stupid one that has this problem...
WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD A NO-INSTALL JRE?
I mean i can find a hundred million links to jre installation (e.g. .exe) files, but none i can just download and
have like this folder structure:
- jre1.6.0_15
- bin
- lib
- Changes (File)
- Copyright (File)
You know what i mean? I am a developper since 5 years and waste my time with such things:(
(I waste about 2 hours with any new JRE Release just because i cant install something on my working machine..)

This morning Yucca wanted Java on his laptop.
Balsi did not spend 5 mins to google as he feels to important to use this search function and chose to do a post where he sounded uniterested with comments like "waster of my time"
Yucca googled Java JDK download and has everything he needs for tomorrow.
Balsi does not.
My post was nort worthless it showed how 5 mins can get you way ahead if you just make the effort.

Trying to download whole JDK & JRE and NOT installation programs

I want to download the JRE and JDK in one go and not download an installation program for each one. Ive searched everywhere but surely sun must provide these? Also does anyone know where i can get my hands on a downloadable version of the API docs?

Please note that this applies to the currrent java version installed on "standard" windows systems, only.

When I download the installer, it asks me to identify the user. I do, then it closes without installing. How can I fix this?

I am using my administrator account, and when I either click on that, or manually enter the info, the installer closes. Really weird, I have used firefox on every computer, and never had this issue

Once the digital signature has been verified you can also try to trust/allow the installer and its related files/processes in any and all security software that have such configurations.

How to save downloaded update installer files

How can I locate a downloaded update installer file so I can save it and use to install on another mac without having to download all over again? Today I downloaded updates for OS X and also for Office 2011. The first is over 2GB and the second around 300MB. I have installed on my Macbook Pro, but I have another 3 units to update. I live in a 3rd world country with very slow internet and it takes me days to download such files.

Can I provide a local jre download link?

Legally, can I provide a local jre download link for our customers?
I have a product that requires a specific JRE family (1.5) and I'd really like to provide a link during our web client discovery to a local copy (on tomcat) of the jre.
I know that netbeans and eclipse etc, bundle the jre without any legal issues, but I'm worried that providing a link for web clients (even if they are on a local intranet) may not be legal.
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

In my case, the client is using a browser, and would be logged in and then provided a link to our local download. All for the purpose of running our applets. However, there is nothing keeping the client from then moving on and using the JRE for something else.
Therefore, I'm thinking that breaks the license.
I think I am forced to provide a download link to Sun....

I recently purchased a Mac Pro. It did not come with a restore installation disk. If I needed to rebuild my OS, how do I do it without installation disks?

Restart with the Option key held down and use the preloaded recovery partition. If that becomes unavailable, the computer will download a new one from Apple's servers.

Have you tried resetting network settings, then unplugging modem and router from power for 40 seconds then plugging back in letting the lights stabilize and Then recconecting with the ipod>?

JRE Download and versioning

We have an issue where we require a specific JRE version, 1.4.2_06 with our application. The jnlp file has the href set to autodl from Sun, which it does when the user is not on the required JRE.
The problem is after the JRE completes its installation, the latest JRE version is not the default which end up in a "No JRE in launch file" error and the application will not start.
I have seen similar posts, all day long as a matter of fact. Has anyone found a solution for this issue yet?

The jre versions varied due to the fact that I was testing on different machines in our lab. Does the initial version of the jre make a difference in whether or not the recently downloaded jre gets selected?

Quit the installer. Make a copy in your Downloads folder. Once you do install it the copy in your Applications folder will be deleted.
Make Your Own Mavericks, Mountain/Lion Installer
After downloading the installer you must first save the Install Mac OS X application. After the installer downloads DO NOT click on the Install button. Go to your Applications folder and make a copy of the installer. Move the copy into your Downloads folder. Now you can click on the Install button. You must do this because the installer deletes itself automatically when it finishes installing.
2. Get a USB flash drive that is at least 8 GBs. Prep this flash drive as follows:
Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
After DU loads select your flash drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the leftside list. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list.
Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to an hour depending upon the flash drive size.
Use DiskMaker X to put your installer clone onto the USB flash drive.
