Jre.exe error

I have pantium 4 system and win98 os, so when ever i start my webserver it shows "jre.exe illigle function",
any one help me, how to solve this problem?

Hi,
which version of jre are you using? some earlier version JRE may have problem with pentium 4 system. (try using JRE 1.2.2_007 or later).

Error in jre.exe

Hi Friends,
What could be the reason, for the application error jre.exe and message is "The instruction at "0x4f7f4cc" referenced memory at "0x00000011". The memory could not be "read".
This message is displayed by Windows NT machine when we are entering data in one of our application screens.
Version of JRE is JRE 1.1.6.
Same application is working properly in Windows 9X and 2000 platforms.
Can any body through light on this.

Does it happen with 1.1.8? As far as I know 1.1.6 is no longer available. However generally downloads are for NT/win9x and should not have a problem running on either of machines .( Maybe NT version requires some patches for 1.1.6 ).

JavaTutor.3.x error -jre.exe has encountered a problem

1. I click on the JavaTutor.3.x shortcut which was installed by courseware supplied by Sun Microsystems through EDS University
2. Within a second or two, the error message box appears, and states: "jre.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost. For more information about this error, click here"
3. When I "click here", the Error signature box appears containing the following information:

I too, am having the same issues as posted above. Here is what I have learned:
1) The software runs fine on a P3 1GHz system. (WinXPpro)
2) The software runs fine on a Celeron 500MHz system. (WinXPpro)
3) The software does not run on a P4 1.8 system (Win2K)
4) The software does not run on a P4 2.8 laptop (WinXPpro)
5) On the systems that the software fails to run (P4s), the script changes above do not help.
I am not much of a 'coder', but I am wondering if the software is trying to write to a memory location (L2, maybe) table that was writable on pre-P4 processors, but is not writable on P4's. Please forgive if I am totally off the mark here. Again, I am not much of a programmer.
I am counting on all of us teaming the solution for this. Please update this thread if you find a fix.

Jre.exe priviliged exception erros

When I attempt to install the J2EE SDK version 1.3.1 on Windows NT 4 I keep getting a jre.exe priviliged exception error.
�The exception Privileged instruction (0xc0000096) occurred in the application at location 0x00010106�
Does anyone know what this problem is ?
I also get this when installing on the CAS-COM bridge.

There are a not properly execution with JIT Compiler Library (symcjit.dll) and Pentium 4 processor systems.

Forms6i - problem with jre.exe

I have a problem with installation of Forms6i.
I have processor Celeron 1700 and Windows XP.
I have installed Forms6i, but when I try to run Oracle Net8 Easy Config
there is an error with jre.exe and program close.
I have installed Patch 10 but the error is continually present.
I don't know what I can do.
I know, that it is probably the processor's fault.
It's very important to me.

JRE Installation Error

I'm attempting to install Nortel's Symposium Call Center Server Client. When the installation gets to the point where it attempts to install the Java Runtime Environment ver 1.1 it gives an error stating" Jre.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error is being created." I'm running on Windows 2000 Pro SP2. Help.

I got the same error message with Windows 2000 on Pentium 4. It was while trying to run a report writer which used a jre.exe version 1.1.7.
This was working fine in Window NT. I seem to have had success (although not throughly tested) by replacing the jre.exe with a renamed version of java.exe from jdk1.3.

Script is nolonger executing when using c:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.1\bin\java.exe. Was using c:\Program Files\JAVASOFT\JRE\1.1\bin\jre.exe. Is there another VM that I should be using with java 2? This is the error message I get when running program:

I'm running 1.4.1-b21 on 98se (Intel P3) without problems. Suggest that you deinstall and then download and install a new copy.

BtTray.exe error on startup in Windows 8.1

I receive a BtTray.exe Error, BsSdk.dll missing on startup in Windows 8.0.......... PC is 2 months old and has always done this.

Procedure 1:
Step 1:
First of all connect your PC with internet and log in your PC as administrative account.
Step 2:
Open Control Panel and click on Uninstall a program under Programs.
Step 3:
Uninstall the Bluetooth software from the list of programs.
Step 4:
Now from Control Panel, click on Hardware and Sound.
Step 5:
Then click on Device Manager under ‘Devices and Printers’.
Step 6:
Now open Bluetooth option and then right-click on the device and select Update Driver Software → Search automatically for updated driver software.
Step 7:
Now reboot and check if the problem is solved.
if the issue persists, please try Procedure 2:
Reinstall the bluetooth drivers using the steps mentioned in the following weblink:

Windows 8.1 issue explorer.exe error on shutdown NOT resolved and painfully slow bootup

I have a brand new HP Pavilion Laptop with Windows 8 64bit. I just downloaded the free update to 8.1. And then problems started.
First off, the boot up time has almost doubled. Just before the desktop becomes visible, there is a 10 second period where all you see is a black screen. At times this is more than 10 seconds. Then the desktop wallpaper can be seen.
Secondly, the most annoying problem-, everytime I shutdown or restart , I get an explorer.exe error saying memory cant be read some instruction referenced memory at 0x00000000. ?! What the h-- is this ? I mean is this what we expect to see after updating to
Windows 8.1 ? This is ridiculous. There is no offical response from the developers either. This is affecting many people all over the world and there is not even any official patch or announcement ?
I have read similar posts here and none of the solutions work. Someone says edit the registry, someone says remove the bluetooth service from startup ?! nothing and stopping a bluetooth service should not be considered a solution. Why should I not be able
to use bluetooth just to resolve this Windows 8.1 error ??
Please fix this problem urgently. And DO NOT ask us to re-install windows... I mean come on.. You think people have nothing better to do than installing/reinstalling Windows throughout the day ?? Bandwidth does not come cheap everywhere in the world either.
Please release a patch or some guidelines on fixing this problem ASAP.

Hi, I have checked with that link on HP's site and for my product number it said that my laptop has been tested-Update your System from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1
HP has tested your Windows 8 PC with Windows 8.1 and has created update instructions.
This is what they say. And I clicked on the Windows Store Icon >> Then I clicked on the Upgrade to Windows 8.1 Tile >> Then I clicked Download Windows 8.1 Update ( over 3 GB ) waited for a couple of days >> Then clicked next a bunch of
times >> Selected some options that it asked me >> Then waited some more >> some more waiting >> and in 2 weeks I had upgraded to Windows 8.1 >> Then the above PROBLEMS started...

I can not resolve a plugin-container.exe error while processing payroll through ADP &have been unable to find the right fix for this. I can send error report.

I have been receiving this error now for a few weeks and have been through multiple layers of IT help trying to resolve it with ADP/Chase Payroll services. When I go to print pay vouchers I get the plugin-container.exe error and I can not print the vouchers. I can provide screen shots if this would help. Can you please advise on how to proceed to resolve this?

This is an issue with that plugin crashing, which isn't something we can really resolve for you. Try to disable it, find a replacement, update it, or contact their support

AppleMoblieDeviceHelper.exe - error while setting up the environment...

I am having problems with iTunes 8.2.1.6 on my Vista PC. I am getting the following two errors whenver I try to sync my iphone 3Gs:
(1) 16bit MSDOS subsystem: c:\program files\common files\apple\mobile device support\bin\applemobiledevicehelper.exe - Error while setting up environment for the application. Choose 'close' to terminate the application. This error message continues to show up even when I hit 'close'.
(2) iTunes was unable to load dataclass information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try later.
I have tried running both iTunes and applemobiledevicehelper.exe in administrator mode and that does not help. I have also tried reinstalling iTunes.
Any ideas?

To address your scenario, while creating the configuration, select all the required agreements to create one configuration and then deploy.
Alternatively, you can also apply the latest patch MLR (10.1.2.3)

Getting NTVDM.EXE errors in itunes - keeps crashing

Every time I start itunes I get a "16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem" error. Message reads...
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntvdm.exe
Error while setting up environment for the application. Choose 'close' to terminate the application
I then have the option to close or ignore it. If I ignore it I can still access the app store and stuff but when I go to sync my iphone itunes locks up and I have to go to task manager to end the program. What do I do? (this started with the latest itunes update... now I can't even update my iphone because it goes into a permanent backup loop (I have had to kill it after 12 hours a few times!)HELP!!!

I don't have an answer for this, but from first principles here are some things to try.
Since the problem occurs when you plug in your iPad there may be a problem with Apple mobile device support.
Try removing iTunes and related programs using this method:

Then reinstall.
In case there really is a problem with ntvdm.exe, try running the system file checker:

And finally, in case other software is interfering with it try using MSConfig to check for conflicts.:
