I see that there is no support for Solaris 8 on SPARC 32 Bit. Is this true or has support been discontinued.
Any suggestions or pointers are appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Aju,
With SAP NetWeaver 7.1, the SAP NetWeaver RFC Library only supports 64bit for SUN. You can find more information you can see the SAP note 1025361 and at http://service.sap.com/connectors --> SAP NetWeaver RFC Library.

  • I ther any SQL developer version for SunOS 5.10 (Unix)

Is ther any SQL developer version for SunOS 5.10 (Unix). If it is available, please tell me from where it can be downloaded and how it can be installed?

<p>You can use any of the downloads except the Mac or Linux ones.
<p>We separated out the Windows downloads because that's the largest audience we have. So there are 2: one is the full install, and one which allows users to point SQL Developer to an existing, installed JDK. This means that you don't end up with duplicate or even multiple JDKs installed. You can download either of these. If you don't have the JDK installed, you might as well install the full build. The other thing about the full install is that it includes an early JDK release and many users prefer to use the latest JDK.
<p>The entry for the "multiple platforms" is exactly the same build and code as the Windows without JDK. Both of these require you to download and install or already have a JDK installed.
<p>I try to make this page clearer for each release. It seems I'm not there yet!
<p>We certify on Windows, Linux and the Mac. There is a page detailing certification specifics see the home page of SQL Developer. We do not certify SunOS, but Unix platforms are supported. This means that you can use SQL Developer, but any issues you run into must be tested against a certified platform before we'll track the bugs.

  • Binary PHP installer with OCI8 supprt for SunOS 5.10

    Hello!
Does anybody know if we can get a binary PHP installer with OCI8 supprt for SunOS 5.10 somewhere?
We're trying to configure and compile our own, but there's no end to resolving dependancies, errors, etc...
Thank you so much for any help with this!

    Nope, just running:
    ./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs
    make
    make install
Works just fine(with the libphp5.so file being deleted). Problem doesn't arise until I try to add in the --with-ci8=xxx.

  • Need Commands for SunOS

    Hi
I am working on below given environment.
    SunOS sc-ant 5.10 Generic_141444-09 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V210
I am new to this. and how to know on which bit(32 or 64bit) i am using and please provide some link for commands refernce.

    Hi
For a long time now Solaris has been a 64bit OS that can run both 32bit and 64bit applications. The isainfo command (that's isa as in Instruction Set Architecture) will tell you something like
    sparcv9 sparc
    or
    amd64 i386
(sparcv9 is the 64bit SPARC ISA).
When you are compiling, the Solaris Studio tools will default to 32bit binaries. You need to add -m64 to get 64bit binaries. On SPARC, stick to 32bit (it'll be faster) unless you need a very large memory space (and it's possible to have large file support in 32bit if needed). On amd64, it's trickier. If your code uses lots of variables but not too many pointers, 64bit will probably be faster.

  • JRock Kit for Solaris 10 x86/x64

    Hi,
Why don't exist a Jrock Kit distribution for
    Solaris 10 x86/x64?
    I have Bea 8.1, 9.2 for Solaris 10
    x86/x64 and now Oracle 10g Rel 2 and I don't understand why
    BEA don't release it.
    Thanx
    Giancarlo

Porting JRockit to new OSes/architectures is very expensive, so we have to prioritize the porting effort based on customer interest, and there has been very little demand for JRockit on Solaris/x86. Most customers purchasing Sun x86 hardware use Windows or Linux.

  • Windows ODBC Client for Timesten in Solaris Sparc

Hello, i need help to solve this issue :
I have a Timesten version 5.1.28 ( 32 bits) running in Solaris Sparc and a Windows 2003 server connected to the same network.
I need to install a Timesten ODBC client in my windows 2003 server in order to get connection to my timesten database in Solaris.
How can i get a timesten ODBC client for Windows ??
    Thanks for your Help
    Luis.

    Hi Luis,
TimesTen 5.1 is a desupported release. If you are a licensed TimesTen customer, you need to contact the TimesTen Support team to get your issue resolved as the 5.1 release is not available for download from OTN.
To contact the Oracle TimesTen Support team, please open a Metalink case for the TimesTen product, the product number is 1870. This will get routed to the Oracle TimesTen Support engineers.
If you already have the Windows 5.1.28 TimesTen bits, you can do the client only installation.

  • Need of JRockit JDK for OSB11g

    Hi,
I am trying to install OSB 11g in my 64-bit machine. So i have taken up the generic installers given in oracle download site.
Installed Oracle Java JDK as well before installing OSB.
I am unable to see the OSB related plug-ins in the eclipse. I faced this issue number of times even in 32-bit machines as well. And this issue is resolved when Jrockit JDK is choosed during OSB installation. Is JRockit JDK required mandatorily for OSB? You can see the same in attached screen shot.
    Thanks
    Siva

    Hi Siva,
I am unable to see the OSB related plug-ins in the eclipse.Do you mean that there is no Oracle Service Bus perspective in OEPE? Can you provide the details of your issue? You may also refer -

  • Loohing For "Sun demand paged SPARC" file format

    Gentle People:
I am looking for information on the
"Sun demand paged SPARC" file format.
Apparently this is not the same as
ELF, since and ELF Reader cannot read
    it.
Specifically I would like to find the
file format specification or at least
the appropriate .h file defining the
structures. I am thinking of something
    similar to elf.h.
BTW I have already tried the likely
sources such as Sun documentation, the Sun
web site, and a search of my *.h files
    or maybe I missed something.
Is this file format anything like or
similar to ELF? Will knowledge of ELF be
    of any help?
Dose anyone know of any software tools
to analyze or disassemble files of this format
    Thanks for the help.
    Thomas Dineen

I don't think such format exists - please double check your
source - it might be a typo or copy and paste error.

  • Usb wireless adapter for solaris 10 on sparc platform

    Hi,
First and foremost, I hope that this stands in the right place.
I need to configure my Sun Fire V240 to connect to my wireless network (wifi).
Just wondering do we have the list of usb wifi adapter (and driver) that can work in Solaris 10 on Sparc platform?
Or, can I have the list of Solaris supported PCI wifi adapter and driver? It would be great if instruction included.
    Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I also had this situation and since I was not able to convert the package to a datastream, I downloaded it from http: //www. sunfreeware. com/mozilla .html
They also provide some readme files that can be of help.
Once you have the datastream package you can install using pkgadd utility.

  • Infiniband configuration for Oracle VM in Sparc T5-2

    hello all,
Just wanted to post here to ask if someone has experience on configuring Infiniband interfaces in a  SPARC T5-2 Server with multiple Oracle VMs in it
As far as we have checked, you can't have Virtual Switch(Simple way) using an Infiniband Interface and neither use DIO to assign individual PCI device to a Virtual Domain, only leaving us with the option of SR-IOV which requires several things(We are good with all of them but Switch F/W version) but it disables  the possibility of Live Migration--something that we definitely don't want
    Any help is appreciated
    Thanks in advance and Regards

Hi, just a note that with SR-IOV you can (with current logical domains manager) remove the SR-IOV device while the domain is running, so there is a way to accomplish live migration. See the August 20, 2013 blog entry at  https://blogs.oracle.com/raghuram/
    I hope that helps, Jeff
