Someone suggested it could be a serialisation issue but I I'm not sure how to go about checking that.
Any suggestions ?

    Hello,
    I recently installed BI Apps 11.1.1.7.1 on Oracle Linux 64.
    while i am trying to run the full load i.e. SDE, SILOS and PLP and sometimes while trying to access BIA Configuration Manager..I get below error. while i tried to increase the heap size to 2gb in SetOBIDomain.sh for both bi_server1 and odi_sever1.sh, it is not really affected i.e. i dont see the updated arguments while trying to re start these managed servers. i tried to restart the box and it still did not work...Any idea on where exactly to change/update the parameters to increase the heap size and any other known issues cauing out of memory issues.

    Hi Fabian,
    It seems that you have got out of memory due to PermGen space, hence increase the MaxPermGen space

  • Servlet failed with Exception java.lang.LinkageError: Class javax/servlet/ServletConfig

              Hi
              I registered a web app with Weblogic 5.1 in the weblogic.properties file. I try
              to run the web app from my browser typing http://localhost:7001/xxx(Webapp name)
              and a jsp page. Following is the error I get. It would be helpful if some one

              Sorry, I didn't look very closely - the exception is for
              javax.servlet.ServletConfig - should be in weblogicaux.jar.
              Is there anything wrong with it? What service pack are you
              using? Could be a problem with weblogic.policy.

    Anyone has any idea or faced this issue before please guide me what is the cause, i have got a feeling that this may be because server has run out of memory.

    i havn't written anything before calling set buiffer sizeSo why does the exception message say the opposite?
    I can see that error may be because of a jsp named cart_thank-you.jspSo can I. So have a look at it. It is writing something before the other thing is calling setBufferSize().
    you can see that in erro logSo can you.

  • Jwsc Ant task fails with exception java.lang.AssertionError: java.io.IOExce

    I have the following task in my Ant file:

    }When I run 'build-service' And target I get the following error:
    ...build.xml:24: java.lang.AssertionError: java.io.IOExceptionI've tried to find this problem resolution but unsuccessfully.
    Could anyone help this or give a reasonable advice about this exception reason.

    Was getting this exception because of weblogic-container-binding.jar+ library missing. Added this library to classpath and the issue released.

  • BB not communicating with computer & an"Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException" issue

    I am stuck between a rock & a hard place.  I would really like some advice that will prevent me from losing all of my contacts data.
    Firstly, I have not backed up any of my data from my BB!  I have now very quickly tried to rectify this today, uploading the software and downing loading all updates.
    I have some corruption or other on the BB that has caused me to lose 4 of my 5 email accounts and also unable to access the unread emails in the remaining account or text/call out.
    One of the messages that I get on the BB is Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException (the other is longer and I cannot remember what it said, but it was similar).
    I have read that I need to backup, wipe then restore to get rid of the corruption.  My problem is that I cannot back up therefore if I go ahead and clean the BB then I will lose all of my data?
    Is there any way I can transfer the data to my SIM card - it isn't a lot at all, maybe 100 contacts............
    Looking forward to a solution, have spent all day mucking around with troublesome technology - when I had so many more important things to do......
    Thanks in anticipation.

  • MediaPlayer crashes with Uncaught Exception: java.lang.Errror: 137

    Hi,
    I have a media player running on JavaFX 1.2 Mobile using Netbeans 6.7.1 with DefaultFxPhone emulator using JDK 1.6 Update 14.
    When starting or stopping the media player (ie. calling mediaplayer.play() or mediaplayer.pause()) using a onKeyPressed or onMousePressed event it causes this error. If i call mediaplayer.play() anywhere else in my code the media plays fine.
    the complete error is:
    Uncaught exception: java.lang.Error: 137
    - net.demo.javafx.mobile.defaultmediaplayermobile.DefaultMediaControlComponentMobile$2.lambda(), bci=190
    - net.demo.javafx.mobile.defaultmediaplayermobile.DefaultMediaControlComponentMobile$2.invoke(), bci=2
    - net.demo.javafx.mobile.defaultmediaplayermobile.DefaultMediaControlComponentMobile$2.invoke(), bci=5
    - javafx.scene.Node$NodeInputListener.mouseClicked(), bci=114
    - com.sun.fxme.input.ReleaseEvent.dispatch(), bci=131
    - com.sun.fxme.input.MouseEventDispatcher.run(), bci=71
    - com.sun.fxme.runtime.RunnableQueue$Worker.run(), bci=222
    The event listener contains code like:
    onKeyPressed: function (e:KeyEvent){
    mediaPlayer.play();
    Also the exact same code works fine when run as a desktop application in netbeans (as opposed to mobile).
    Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Dave.

    Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't quite solve the problem. It looks to me in the media browser tutorial the user has an icon on the screen to re-orientate it. I'd hoped the system could detect the screen orientation changing automatically - hence the need for the bind. I guess that the fact that the medial browser tutorial doesn't do this suggests its not currently supported functionality.

  • Cannot pair Bluetooth with 2008 BMW - 'Uncaught exception: java.lang.Classcast Exception' message

    I have been trying to pair my 8100 with my new 2008 model BMW 135i built in car kit using Bluetooth set up. The phone finds the car kit and the two appear to pair (confirmation numbers entered etc) but then the Smartphone screen freezes and the following error message appears 'Uncaught exception: java.lang.Classcast Exception'. The phone cannot then receive or make calls (won't even turn off until battery removed). Have been through the whole process several times. The car will pair with other phones and my 8100 will pair OK with other devices. Can anyone help?
    Thanks, Paul.

    I have got aorund the problem by disabling address book transfer. I can now receive calls and make outgoing calls by either dialling on the blackberry itself or using the BMW idrive controller. It is better than nothing and my main use anyway is for incoming calls while driving. The whole idea of the integrated system was to be able to scroll through the address book on the steering wheel buttons and view the address book entries on the satnav screen.
    I have had similar problems in the past with an integrated system in a Porsche. The Blackberry never establised bluetooth contact with that system at all.

  • Unexpected exception with file: java.lang.NullPointerException

    Hi :)
    Still a Newbee
    Geting the message Unexpected exception with file: java.lang.NullPointerException
    Have traced the error down with the use of System.out.println(a sequential number); but having got it down to bReader.close();, I think, I'm not understanding why. I think it has something to do with the line while (text != null){
    Don't fully understand yet as a newbee, but one can only learn. Like my other error (I once spent six hours on a pair of {}!!!! we all learn) I've spent two evenings now resarching and trying to solve this, so a bit of help would be very much appreciated.
    Error occurs after System.out.println(7);

  • Please HELP me with installation - java.lang.noclassdeffounderror:

    Please Help! For school we need to install JAVA. I installed JDK 5.0 and id did not work. I got exception in thread "main" java.lang.noclassdeffounderror: hello. I was using Texpad to write, compile, and run it. In short I deleted all JAVA 5.0 using My Computer program removal. I installed JAVA 1.4..2_10 and I am still getting that same error. I want the JAVA 1.4..2_10 to be installed and not JAVA.5.0.
    My System Variable CLASSPATH still shows C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_03\lib\ext\QTJava.zip. My System Variable PATH has nothing as far as JAVA in it. MY PATHEXT has JS and JSE amoung other things in it. My System Variable QTJAVA still has Files\Java\jre1.5.0_03\lib\ext\QTJava.zip in it.
    Please tell me step-by-step how I can fix this. I never updated these variables before. What do I need to type and where? What do I need to get rid of or change?
    PLEASE HELP!
    Thanks,
    Jim

    I left my System variable classpath --> C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_03\lib\ext\QTJava.zip I left my QT JAVA --> C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_03\lib\ext\QTJava.zip I added Path --> ;C:\j2sdk1.4.2_10\bin and then restarted my computer. I added hello file in C:\j2sdk1.4.2_10\bin and tried to compile it under a new name and it would not compile. it gave me the error below. I was able to compile other java program in my other folder in a different directory. I am still getting the same error messages/ Anything else I should try? IS there anyplace or person I can call who would come and fix this? Something is wrong. This should not be giving me this much trouble. All The Java directions on other websites tell me to do different things. I am so confused... please help.
    I get this during the compilenow:
    javac: invalid flag: C:\j2sdk1.4.2_10\bin\helloa.txt
    Usage: javac <options> <source files>
    where possible options include:
    -g Generate all debugging info
    -g:none Generate no debugging info
    -g:{lines,vars,source} Generate only some debugging info
    -nowarn Generate no warnings
    -verbose Output messages about what the compiler is doing
    -deprecation Output source locations where deprecated APIs are used
    -classpath <path> Specify where to find user class files
    -sourcepath <path> Specify where to find input source files
    -bootclasspath <path> Override location of bootstrap class files
    -extdirs <dirs> Override location of installed extensions
    -d <directory> Specify where to place generated class files
    -encoding <encoding> Specify character encoding used by source files
    -source <release> Provide source compatibility with specified release
    -target <release> Generate class files for specific VM version
    -help Print a synopsis of standard options
    Tool completed with exit code 2

    If you can fix this I will give you 14 points. I hope it is enough. I just want this to work for school.

  • JSR179:LocationProvider: Shutting down! and java.lang.SecurityException

    Hello,
    I am a newbie both at Java ME and JSR-179 (Location based services). I am trying to create location based services but gets the following error:
    JSR179:LocationProvider: Shutting down!
    null - 6

    at unknownThe problem occures when trying to execute following line below: Location l = lp.getLocation(60);Additional information:
    1. The output "null - 6" above is from my Catch-block. That's how I know at which row the error occurs
    2. The application works in WTK.
    3. The problem occures when I am using the SEM Device Explorer and doing on device debugging. Not sure if that is related to that.
    4. If I am running the directly on the phone it works. Well, not neccessarily if I have tried running it from the Device Explorer, guess it wont work because something happened while using the Device Explorer. And when I am trying to use the application on the phone and it hangs, the only thing I can do is to restart the phone. The phone hangs when the "phone" asks if the application should have access to the resources on the phone.
    5. Have I missed something, but could it be some place where I can read about all these things how it works?
    Please let me know if I should provide more information. I have noted down everything I can think of. I really need to get this going asap.

    ...Is there any other way to do on-device debuging not using Sony Ericsson Device Explorer?Well I think it depends on whether device supports debug wire protocol like KDWP or JDWP. If it does then you might try debugging with Netbeans Mobility or with Wireless Toolkit ...
